Title: Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F (Revival of F)
Post by: Mishimi on April 09, 2015, 04:24:12 AM
Anyone here looking forward to this movie? It comes out in Japan in 10 days officially, and will be dubbed in English and released in the states this summer.

Are you looking forward to Freeza's return? What do you think of Golden Freeza and Blue haired SSJ God? What are your thoughts on the movie in general?

Now, considering this isn't a DB forum, and I doubt many, if any of you looked up the spoilers for the film, I will go ahead and post the spoilers in a spoiler tag and we can discuss them from there if you choose to read them. So if you don't want anything spoiled, don't read the spoiler.

These spoilers were gathered after the film premiered in Japan about a week ago. People who saw it went to Twitter and other social media and spilled the beans. Kazenshuu also has an in depth movie synopsis for you to read if you'd like, but I will only be posting the basics.

Base Goku beats the crap out of 4th form Freeza

Golden Freeza still struggles with Base Goku and needs Sorbet's help to put him down

Vegeta gets in a few hits on Golden Freeza BEFORE turning blue haired SSJG.

Vegeta beats the living crap out of Golden Freeza to the point Freeza is on his hands and knees, beaten, and literally rage quits, blowing up the planet Earth.

Vegeta dies against Freeza.... again. Suffocates in space after Freeza blows up the planet

Only Goku, Beerus, and Whis survive due to a barrier being around them by Whis upon the planet's explosion.

Whis sends Goku back in time 3 minutes, Goku goes blue haired SSJG and kills Freeza with a Kamehameha before he destroys the planet

Regardless of spoilers and certain things I don't like as far as the direction they went, I am still looking very forward to seeing this movie, not only as a DB fanboy, but as a Freeza fanboy to boot!

In case some of you guys missed them, here is one of the most recent trailers for the movie:

Also, how do you post vids here again?

I just dunno how Freeza can match up to the Z-warriors, he was once strong but not anymore

He unlocks a new transformation/ultimate evolution (Golden Freeza) which is a rival to god power more or less. In 4 months time (training) he goes from being weaker than a SSJ to being superior to a SSJ3 and beyond. That's how. ;)

How do you post vids here?

That's cool, but it still doesn't really make sense because Frieza was training in Hell with Cell for years and years after he died and he never really improved.

To post a youtube video simply just post the link and site will embed it for you

No, he wasn't. That was non canon filler. Never happened in the manga. Anytime they show villains in hell with their bodies, that is just non canon filler. You should read the manga, it will give you a clear understanding of what is and what isn't in the face of canon content. People who die in the DBZ universe don't get to keep their bodies unless they are a special case such as Goku, King Kai, and so on. normal every day people as well as villains in general become spirits. As a matter of fact once a bad person dies and goes to hell their spirits get washed in a soul cleanser.

Freeza is a special case as well however, as far as this new movie goes. It is shown that ever sense he died he did get to keep his body, however, he is restrained in a cocoon and is tortured by hell fairy imp looking guys. It's funny because he is in mecha form while in hell, not his organic form. Once he is wished back by his soldier, Sorbet, he is revived in the pieces Trunks sliced him up in. Sorbet puts him in a new age revival chamber and he comes back out in his organic 1st form.

The new movie changes it up a bit what with Freeza having kept his body in hell, but that is only because he was being tortured in hell, not freely able to move or go anywhere. That's just how AT set it up for the movie this time around. However, as far as the manga/anime goes, canon wise, they never were able to keep their bodies. Cell never had his body, Raditz, the Ginyu Force, etc... never had their bodies. The scenes where the humans on King Kai's fought the Ginyu Force on King Kai's planet and knocked them into hell is also filler.

The entire Otherworld tournament arc is also filler.

Unless AT changes his mind collectively, or makes another movie showing Cell or someone else in hell with their bodies, then it still remains fact that the majority of people (unless a special case as I said earlier) do not have bodies in the afterlife.

As far as the manga and canon content goes, Freeza was never shown again after his defeat at the hands of Trunks. At least up until now.

I just did that. Doesn't seem to work. Are you sure that's how you do it? You guys could use a better help system explaining how to use the BBCode here and how to post vids on the forum. It is rather confusing going through your help section.

DBZ's canon is a total mess
