Hello :)
I hope you all don't mind that I'm posting this here. However, I thought this community might be interested in a YA fantasy novel I've created. It's called Lahkia | Heir of Darkness. The main species /characters are anthropomorphic wolves. As far as what the book is about:
"Mateless. Dead. The Heir of Darkness was supposed to be a thing of the past, a dark stain on Lahkia's otherwise peaceful history. Now, 200 years later, young Azura is eavesdropping on a meeting among Lahkia's leaders, and she's hearing some strange things. Someone who calls himself the Heir of Darkness exists, and he's leading creatures called Saghki. Whoever he is, whatever Saghki are, they are demanding that Lahkia turn over 500 children per territory--or face destruction. The only thing that stands in his way is her."
There's a Facebook page if you're interested and would like to stay updated. ( Facebook.com/LahkiaLegends) It's set to be released via Amazon on April 4th! Thanks for reading! ^_^

Sounds interesting! I might read if I get the chance. This world needs more good anthro products.

Thank you, Hiren! I agree. It's a subject that deserves far more attention than most writers are willing to give it. Many have written about the animal human connection as either a spiritual connection between two separate creatures (such as a wolf guiding a human) or as the human being an embodiment of a beast (werewolf).
Lahkians are, essentially, "both human and animal at the same time". They can walk on two or four legs, enjoy a diet consisting mostly of meat, cherish the mate-bond, protect their young, live in villages, and howl.
I am sure there are other books like this, but I haven't dug around enough to discover them. I've had a passion and drive to create this book for years. Whether or not you choose to buy it, thank you for commenting on the post. :)

You're welcome!I think there are some furry novels... I just haven't really read any yet. :P
One that was interesting was a series called Wereworld. There weren't completely furries, but they did turn into werewolves and werebears and even weresharks! It's pretty cool, but the books can be quite long.
I'm not really one for Facebook, but if I ever go on, I'll try and remember to look up your book.
I'm thinking about writing stuff too, but I'm also aiming more for the graphic novel/manga type stuff.
Anyway, hope the book turns out great! And I hope you have fun with it overall!

Oh! I believe I have heard of the Wereworld books. I remember seeing it about a year or so ago…the series seems quite popular! I may give it a shot after April 4th. I'll be taking a short hiatus from writing and I'll actually get to read something for once! I wish you luck with your graphic novel /manga. As someone who can hardly draw a stick-figure, I don't have any advice for you in the artistic side of things. However, if you ever find yourself struggling with a particular writing element (such as plot organization, character development, concrete details, etc.) feel free to shoot me a message! I can't claim to be an expert, but if I can think of anything that might be helpful I would be happy to share. :)
Best of luck with your graphic novel/ manga endeavors!
