I'm thinking of starting to produce youtube content and wondering a few things.
Just a few questions:
1) How much Youtube do you watch a day?
2) What is the ideal Video length?
3) What's your favourite type of video? (fails, let's plays, historical, motivational, weapons)
4) Do you have a favourite Youtuber?
5) Do you have anything you particularly like about their videos?
6) Do you have any criticisms about their videos?
7) What makes a good Vlog?
8) Would you watch my videos?
-
1) an overly large amount
2)I'd say about 10-15 minutes
3) Weapon or Vlog
4) No specifics
5) N/A
6) critism wise, most YouTube's Need to make it more personal.
7) Making it personal to YOU.
8) Consider me subscribed.
-
1) About 1-2 hours a day (not including listening to music without actually watching the video)
2) Depends on the video, but probably 5-15 minutes
3) skits, fails, gifs, compilations. So yeah, basically compilations of stuff.
4) Nope but I'll say some things I like. TFS, Gifs with sound, All the big animation ones, numberphile and watchmojo
5) Funny, interesting, either mentally stimulating or a good distraction
6) Not really)
7) I don't watch vlogs
8) Perhaps. I'm not interested in lets plays or vlogs, so, yeah xD

Some good feedback so far :)
I think while there will be a focus on being a vlog, i'll mix it up with reviews of games, movies, etc and the odd top 10 however maintaining a vlog format due to my lack of materials to work with (probably be recording exclusively with my phone). May even do some cooking here and there.
I think I may have to challenge myself to do a daily video.
-
1) 3-4 hours, depending on the day.
2) 15 minutes.
3) Let's Plays and Vlogs. I like to get to know a Youtuber and connect with them.
4) It's a tie between Markiplier and the Game Grumps, honestly.
5) The fact they care. Videos with people who don't care much for the fans shows, and it's painful to watch.
6) Obnoxious clickbait in titles. Be careful how you do that.
7) Interesting topics and a passion. Don't drone on about things you don't care about. Do things you enjoy.
8) Depending on the quality, yes or no.

Just a few questions:
- 30min to 1hr
2) 5-15min
3) Lets play, cooking, and vloging to be able to connect with/get to know the youtuber that im going to be spending time watching.
4) Bohemianegale (video games), quickybaby (also video games) and epic meal time (because i like food... a LOT.))
5) Jingels or Bohemianegale I watch because he entertians his audience with comedy and tells stories of his days in the royal navy.
Quickybaby is watched by me because he is where I go for my serious information about World of Tanks as opposed to jingels comedy.
I watch epic meal time simply becaues I like food.. a LOT.
6) sometimes the audio isnt equalized and then my ear drums get murdered when they shout.
7) being able to connect with your viewers, making them feel like you are talking to them personally.
8) I'll try anything at least once.

@.@ That's a whole lot...
Unconventional Havok is unconventional!
Honestly, just have fun!mif you're having fun, that energy will be contagious! It's why I love Charels Trippy's blogs (ctfxc). He has his own daily life struggles, but his fun and happy personality is infectious. I've been watching this daily blogs on and off since he started (mostly because of time restrictions of my busy schedule). Average video I watch is about 3-9 minutes. If the content is good, it's original, and you have fun, people will watch. Got a demo vid for us?
-
1) 30min
2) 4-9min the sub want more because rhe video is short= more views, but you can upload 3 videos/day and only be 30min of content, but with 3 times more views
4) Nop
5) the intro and outro is very important to feel the sub welcome to the video
6)Nop
7) be good at the comment, if you do a vlog about yesterday you see a dog, but you comment and edit well the video is 1000 times better
8) yes

1) How much Youtube do you watch a day? Don't really know, I would say 30 mn
2) What is the ideal Video length? 10-15mn
3) What's your favourite type of video? (fails, let's plays, historical, motivational, weapons) Depends on what I'm looking for
4) Do you have a favourite Youtuber? Trent and Luke, or Antoine Daniel, but his videos are in French, and he post less often, so...
5) Do you have anything you particularly like about their videos? Antoine Daniel ones are litteraly WTF and Trent and Luke, it's just I wanna see the video
6) Do you have any criticisms about their videos? As I wouldn't do as good as they do, no.
7) What makes a good Vlog? Passion about the subjects
8) Would you watch my videos? Why not... One, at least

I'm a YouTuber. From my experience, just have fun with it. If you're having fun, that'll give you the motivation to make more videos. I know that when I start a new series of gameplay videos on my channel, I get excited about doing the next one. I'm currently working on Starbound!
Anyway... Another thing to point out is don't worry about getting subscribers. At least... Not TOO much. If you get views, then that means someone at least clicked on it (even though it may be by accident :P). I'm not a super popular YouTuber (only 12 subs so far), but I've had comments from one of my friends who watches it, and he seems to love it. And a friend of one of my friends is a sub, and I don't even know him, and he loves it! I'm just being my goofy self and people seem to like it! I even lost a sub (not sure for what reason), but I didn't let the get me down, not everyone is gonna like my channel forever.
So, all in all... Have fun with it, be yourself, and enjoy what you do on the videos, or else it won't be fun anymore.
My words of wisdom... Take 'em or leave 'em.
