Title: Advice Is Appreciated
Post by: EvanTheWolf on March 01, 2015, 05:00:56 AM
I've had a terrible day. My divorced parents have been arguing since they broke up when I was around 7. My father is sending me and my mom rude text messages just because I haven't seen him in weeks (when its my choice when or if i want to see him). My grades are falling and I'm trying to make them up. And my girlfriend seems to have friendzoned me. On top of that, some on my friends on Skype who i went to for advice started teasing me and insulting me. Sorry this post is kindof long i just need to get these feelings out.

My parents divorced at 10, the rest is a long, sad story.

Regardless! I'm here to help!

It sounds like you stay away because he's acting irrationally. Your grades may be a result of your inner conflict of, "should I see him? He's my dad, but he's not in a state of mind is like to see him." Trust me, that can drop your morale big time. I don't know the full story, and these are my speculations. Please PM me if you would like to talk.

You gotta realize that you don't need other people to make you feel happy! Your girlfriend friendzones you, I can think of two options: 1) Be okay with it, or 2) Confront her about it, if things don't change, then leave. As for your friends, well, they aren't your friends. End of story. Your time is too important to to spend with people like that. Don't be afraid that you might be alone after getting rid of people - new people will come into your life. But in the mean time, learn to be happy without them. All that matters is YOU. It's hard to make the decision to weed out people in your life, but once you do, you feel great, because you prove to yourself that you are in control, not anybody else.

As for grades, I'm working on that one myself  ;)

I don't know what it's like to have divorced parents, but I know what it's like to have people your close to turn your back on you.
There's nothing I can do or say to make you feel better, but I can say that pretty much everyone in the world go's through certain problem like these in their life.
It's just times you need to stay strong and distract yourself with your own hobbies for a while.

As for your now Ex-girlfriend, don't sweat it. Plenty of girls out there. Just don't contact her and eventually she may come around. They always do. Just don't give them that satisfaction or else you'll be back where you were. Best of luck to you out there in the world.
