Im just curious how you guys vent/deal with stress and anxiety.
I listen to music. If its for my anxiety I can pretty much listen to anything i enjoy but of its for stress or sadness I try to listen to up beat music like (i know im gonna get crap for this) Taylor Swift or Echo Smith. I also love owl city but i try not to listen to most of his songs if im upset.
-
I fish hunt or just go for a walk in the woods anything to get me away from people and closer to nature. I found a spot behind the house that has a little creek running through it and the beavers damd it up so its just an awesome spot to sit and listen to the water flow
-
I get stressed and stuff, but sometimes I just relax.
I just realize that what happens, happens, that my actions at a certain point in time are irrelevant to the final outcome, stressing will just make it worse so just relax, have fun and just take it like a stride. It's how I do exams.
The other thing I do is plan constantly, always have a nice flexible plan in place and when something goes bad, I reformat the plan and find ways to deal with it
-
I just shoot things. (Airsoft or videogame-wise) i typically do more.slides.and stuff, too. Hard-ish to do, but they make me feel REALLY cool. I mean slide as in I slide into cover, like im running, i drop, and slidebasebal style a few feet behind car.

very very violent games really its just me tho games like that sooth my soul that no one else can (unless your a big fluffy alaskan dragon)
-
I've learnt to ride the lightning.
Being stressed often gives me an adrenaline boost and that actually drives me to dealing with the stress by taking it head on.
It's when I can't do anything, that I find a new way to do it.
-
Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, KoRn, Pantera. Heavy metal!!! \m/
-
I talk about what stresses me to someone I trust and are comfortable with. Or music. I also like to walk and eat a little bit of something.
It just clears my mind and everything feels like "water in air". I once slept because I was stressed.
-
I go for a run, shoot stuff with guns, or draw
-
for me I go to my favorite spot at John Brian State Park and I meditate while listening to mother nature
-
Oh that's cool Masks.
I usually come on here or play my game. Or watch Dashie's videos.
-
listening to New Orleans Jazz also always makes me feel better
-
To be honest, I mostly bottle it up until it reaches critical mass and I have a panic attack or vent angrily for two hours straight o someone. You know, healthy ways to handle it.
-
that is really dangerous. I used to do that and I would have angry outbursts
-
I'm aware, but the only things that actually help are inaccessible, whether because of money or distance.
-
When I am in exams we have a large sheet of paper taped to our desks that we are allowed to write on.
So I have found myself doodling one of my RP furs (Rawt- T Rex) on my desk just before the exam starts, him just being there makes me so much happier for some reason.
I guess its hard to be stressed with a bored dinosaur on the desk :P
-
I usually write a dirge {http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirge)}
-
Dirges are nice. They're especially good when they're five hours long, and you have an audience to torment.
-
Get out, run and shout somewhere in the field. Also I go swimming, play sports and kickbox a bag.... Stress happens everyday in office, in camp and sometimes at home.
-
I rage on anyone and everyone that even glimpsed at me in a way I think it rude. I can have a really cold nature at times. I hate myself for it, cause I don't want others to avoid me.
-
Going cold can be fun sometimes.
-
I need a good way to deal with stress. Currently, if I'm in a good mood, I can handle some light stress by going "Meh, I've had worse." If I feel like it's a lot though(even if it's not), I tend to worry and stress more, which unfortunately tosses me into one of my depressive moods two out of three times.

Cuddle a kitten.
Even in death I still serve thee!
-
I have a dog. I could cuddle him.
-
Running at night often helps. Stargazing kinda takes your mind off things too.
-
That's what sucks about the city. If I run at night, the cops might pull me over lol. As for stargazing, I'm too deep inside the city to see the stats most nights. That's why I miss the south. But I do like the idea of running, since it would relieve stress and help me get in shape.
-
i can swear in a number of languages, that an i spew here on the fourms...
-
Yeah that's why I usually prefer small towns or rural areas. Rarely been down south, but places in the east can be pretty nice, especially in the backwoods.
-
The last few weeks I have been using a world I have created while I meditate. It is like a safe haven for me
-
I honestly don't have much of a good way to deal with stress. I just bottle it up until I get ready to explode. If I'm alone I will swear at thin air which makes me feel better because I put all my anger into those words. I know that bottling up stress can be bad, but I just don't have a healthy way that works for me.
-
... I know that bottling up stress can be bad...
That can also be dangerous. for you and those around you
-
I would recommend literally bottling your stress.
Whenever you feel like you need to shout at something, grab a glass jar and shout into it until you feel better. Then bottle it up.
Feel free to keep on using the same jar.
-
Hmm that is not a bad idea.
-
The jar acts as a muffler. Just don't hurt your throat
-
I tend to hyper-suppress my anger and store it away because I have a very high capacity for bs.
But when my bs tanks get full, I go supernova, and you don't want to be within a 1-mile radius of me.
-
It may not be how other people do it, but the only way that relieves stress for me is to just let it all out when it happens. It may be destructive, but if I hold it in, that stress builds up and eats away at me. There are moments from school that I am STILL stressed over because I didn't let it out when the things that stressed me out happened. But now it's too late to let that stress out.
-
I deal with stress in 3 different methods!
My top method is listening to music, always calms me down most of the time.
My second alternate is playing games. Sometimes I do this whilst listening to music, adds a bonus!
Third option is watching anything entertaining, from YouTube to a tv programme.
-
Lately I just cry or eat.
-
Lately I've found better stress relief by my exercise routine. Helps get the negative emotions out.
-
In the most unhealthy way possible.
I let it bottle up over time, which could be days, weeks, months; or even a year or more; Then have a breakdown and feel better immediately afterwards.
-
1. Quickie: involves lotion and a laptop,
2. Douche Massacre: Usually when angry. I go onto GTA Online and continually kill players.
3. The Fuq-Off: I set my status on PSN to "Not Available" and put "Don't bug me." Any friend to disobey this was repeatedly killed over and over until they left. Then I just game the night away.
-
right about now, I'm not
-
Lately i just take a nap haha. At the moment im playing hooky from work to do so.
-
I dance! ((FOR REAL
))
-
Furme is legitimately gonna teach me to dance one day 0:)
-
-
In hell >:3
Also, when im stressed, i put my stinken paws on Tybalt.
-
But...don't all dogs go to heaven? D:
I still dance to get rid of stress
-
No deers go to the Arctic...go ahead ask why...
-
The go to the Arctic because right before they die...they're FROZEN in the /head/light! Muahahahahaha!
-
Because I have a cold heart and being frozen doesn't bother me
-
I would say "go to arctic" but you called me cute :)
-
Okay night!
I handle stress by being sarcastic
-
The go to the Arctic because right before they die...they're FROZEN in the /head/light! Muahahahahaha!
UUUGGGGHHHHH x_x

-
*I look down in shame* I had that coming...
-
I normally try to keep my mind occupied on a pointless task until the stress fades -shrug-
-
I listen to music and dance.
