With all the recent chest robbing that has been going on, we have now installed the Lockette plugin that can be used to lock chests, doors and other things from other players. There may still be some things to tweak but it should work fine in most cases.
Welcome to the Unofficially Official TFF Minecraft server! This is a minecraft server that was created specifically for TFF users, however anyone may join the TFF server regardless whether they have an account here or not! The TFF server is run by me, my minecraft username is Bleese.
Things to know
- When you first join the server you'll be the rank "Guest". You won't be able to build or destroy blocks in this rank, but you will be able to chat and walk around. To become a member all you need to do is ask an admin to be one, alternatively you can also post here with your minecraft username and you'll be added as soon as possible! The ranks are detailed further below, but these may change!
- By default, PvP is disabled. This means you cannot hurt others and others cannot hurt you. If you are a member or above, you can quickly enable PvP yourself by typing "/pvptoggle", this will allow you to attack other people who also have pvp enabled. To disable pvp simply type in "/pvptoggle" again, note you must wait ten minutes before you can switch back.
- The server is very new so there is currently nothing around. Please feel free to build anywhere you want provided it is some distance away from spawn (50 or so blocks will suffice, but this is a loose thing). If you want to build a city for people to live in, tell me and I can set up a warp point to your city!
- The server is in its infancy so there may still be things to fix and work out. If you encounter any errors, please post them here or contact me directly if I'm online. I'll try to have them fixed as soon as possible. NOTE: Currently the command "/spawn" is not working, I'm not entirely sure why, but home is.
- If the MOTD goes away too fast, simply type "/motd" to see it again. You can also type in "/help" to get a list of commands and "/rules" to see the rules of the server, currently they're very basic and may evolve in time.
Warp Locations
There are many different locations you can warp too, to see all the names simply type "/warp", here is a description of each location
- /warp spawn: This just teleports you to spawn. Due to some error /spawn does not currently work, so if you want to go to spawn simply use this warp
- /warp new_wales: New Wales is an underground city, this warp is very good if you're wanting to get some resources or ores as the location is very rich in this. It's also a great place to build a nice underground house if you're willing
- /warp oasis_village: This is a village in the middle of a desert very far away. It's great for collecting sand or moving to a place that is relatively untouched by other players. We ask that you keep the village intact as it is one of the only ones still left standing!
- /warp lot_comp: The warp where we are holding our lot building competition
- /warp Bedrock: A city above the bedrock of the nether, check it out for a truly unique environment
Suggesting new mods:
Now that the servers been up for a while, you may suggest to use new mods on the server, however there will be a streamlined process for mod validation. The steps are as followed:
- Coming up with a good mod: Before you propose any new mods to the server, you should first know the following things
1. Is the mod compatible with minecraft 1.8? (If it's not it won't be considered)
2. Does the mod require a server reset? Example a mod that adds a new modpack like Tekkit or a mod that generates new naturally spawning material (These mods are unlikely to be considered)
- Proposing a Mod: After coming up with a mod you can then propose it by posting in this thread. In your proposal you should answer the above questions, as well as give a link to the mod download page. You should also have proof that there is interest in the mod for you and nobody else. If there is no interest the mod will not be considered
- Voting for the mod: The last step is a poll that will last anywhere from 3-5 days, where people will vote on whether or not they want the mod. If the poll passes the mod will be added to the server.
Ranks:
The server has a variety of ranks, here is a description of the ranks in detail
Guest: Default rank. Users who are guests are unable to do most things, including pvp, build and destroy blocks. You can become a Member by posting here or talking to an admin.
Member: The rank above guest, you're given most commands that might be helpful, including basic chat commands and so forth.
Trusted: Same as Member but you are given access to some teleportation commands as well (/tpa, /tpahere)
Donators: Same as Trusted except the added commands of /top, /back, /kittycannon and /hat
Moderator: Can kick/ban/jail/setday/setweather, etc.
Admin: Same as moderator but can also set and delete warps, they have permission to promote other members to moderator
Owner: Has all permissions
Donators:
The server currently does not need any donations, however the website does, so as a promotional offer anyone who is a donator on TFF (That has donated at least a month ago, IE, there name has to be purple on the site) will be eligible for the donator rank on Minecraft! Donators have the ability to teleport to other people using the commands /tpa and /tpahere. They also have the ability to spawn to highest point of a certain position using /top and to go back to their position once teleported using /back. They also have the ability to fire an exploding kitten using /kittycannon and can wear fancy new hats using the /hat command!

So I'm off for today and won't be online much tomorrow, luckily White has offered to fill in for me in case any guests want to be added, we have some cool new developments going on including
- White is building an underground city
- Saph is helping make a village for new players to use
Hopefully we'll have a nice map in a few days with several landmarks like settlements and so forth. The area still remains unexplored! We need someone to explore the land far and wide and see if there is anything interesting going on. If you find something interesting and want to start a settlement there (and it's very far away). Have no fear! I'll create a warp for you so anyone can teleport to your location

We also have our first city! New Wales, an underground city founded by WhiteWolfGuardian that hollows out a large mountain, ontop of the mountain is a mysterious dojo for those who are willing to get there. You can get to the city by using /warp new_wales, if you forget the name just type in /warp and you'll be given a list of available warps!
We also have a prison! So for people who grief or steal in a fashion that is not quite enough to be ban worthy, you'll be jailed for a period of time. The jail is indestructible and surrounded by lava, not a fun place to be in!
We now have 17 registered members, I can't wait to see this server grow to be something even greater! If anyone has suggestions for new plugins, post them here!

- Does it only apply for the 30 days you retain your donator status on the forum or is it a permanent rank from the point of your first donation?
- Depending on the above; Does previous donations done prior to the creation of this server count? Say that someone donated a few months ago but still long enough ago that the donator status on the forum has expired

In this mountain is a wealth of treasures to visit and explore, such as the city of new wales, an underground city that takes place directly below the mountain, deep in the depths of the ground. Traveling there on foot is very difficult, as you must go through a labyrinth of caves to find your treasure, luckily you can also use the command /warp new_wales to get into the city, which you'll be greeted by this

Truly a unique environment full of lava pools and open caverns, you can build quite the fascinating structure in this environment. It's so open it's hard to believe you're almost a few blocks away from bedrock. However, for people wanting a more "natural" underground feel for their buildings there's no fuss!

The cavern is right below a woderous ravine that can be used to build a wealth of structures littering the walls. Building here is truly remarkable.
However, if you want a nice view you can come up to Anoni's Observatory, above the ground, which can give you a stunning view of the sunset

Ontop of the mountain is the breathtaking dojo created by MrRazot, that's full of many different treasures. Although difficult to get up, arriving there leaves you with an amazing sight

It enforces a bit of stuff, people get their own land where others can't grief, it's automatic but will take a little while to configure
It stops griefing but may limit freedom of build. So it's what you guys want

There's quite a few buildings and structures around the spawn and somehow your place is the only one to, allegedly, have been griefed. It just seems a bit odd to me, especially since you just complain about griefing without going into detail what has happened.
Considering you live in a village, have you considered that the villagers might have done something? Villagers usually harvest grown plants. Also, have you considered the simple solution of putting a sign on your house and/or around the village to indicate that it's not a random village/house but actually belongs to you?

Also, people have been reporting strange glitches that have been occuring, for example you may find smooth stone floating randomly on the surface or rivers or large bodies of water, as well as some strange water blocks and POSSIBLY lava blocks that appear in strange locations
The cause or reason behind this glitch is unknown, I'm a bit confused by it, but it's definitely a server glitch or a corruption of data. If you find lava that is disturbing you, remove it or contact a mod.
On the bright side however, we now have a live map of the server. You can view the map anytime you'd like in the browser at this link http://23.95.30.171:8123/ (http://23.95.30.171:8123/) (No need to be logged into MC or anything!)
If you want a minimap, that's a client sided mod, IE: You (as the client) will need to download the minimap, I can't give you the minimap through the server.
NOTE: It will take a little while to render the whole thing, so if you join and it's black with splotches of terrain, just wait a bit while it renders

I'll be willing to make it a warp under the condition that people can build in it, you may have a designated "build" area but people should be able to make houses in your area. It also should be basically completed by the time I make the warp :3

There are currently three options
1. City builders decide where people should build within cities, otherwise there is no restriction except don't build ON someones buildings.
2. Same as 1. But there is an added restriction that you shouldn't build 50 blocks away from any /warp point (unless the /warp point is in a city)
3. Same as 2. except you shouldn't build 40 blocks away from anyone elses buildings without their permission.
Also, due to people complaining, overly adult content is now against the rules on the server.

Personally private property/areas needs to be labeled with a sign (regardless whether or not there is a warp) and then it's free to build as long as you're not too close to someone else's marked territory. That way you know who to contact if you wish to ask permission or is unsure if you're too close to them.
For public areas like cities, yeah let the city builder decide and also place a sign somewhere it's easily seen to indicate who's 'in charge' of the city.
So of the options, I would say #1 is enough, with the added requirement/recommendation of signs to mark ownership to simply make it easier for those passing by to know who to contact should they have any questions. Also, as with everything, how about common sense?

Rie's minimap would be another good addition in my opinion. It allows the use of waypoints and a map that can be brought up anytime. Good for lazy people like me who often get lost.

Rie's minimap is a client based mod, that means the client (that's you) has to download it. It's not like a plugin

i spent 2 and a half hours plus studying the map
its at the top of the map, surrounded by a field of lava, go up from the center of the server map for cordonets.
Well that's interesting cause I found it anyway and it was in the middle of a hill. Apparently someone was trying to hide it for their own use but I found it :3

Sounds cool, but I feel we should stop messing with plugins for a little bit after the issues we've been having with them.
Also, the corruption seems to have stopped! I feel the world reset is unnecessary, as long as we're content with the current weird structures caused by it.
I say we can leave the remaining goofiness of the land for lore purposes.

Thanks! I used to admin a very popular server, it was actually the first Alpha multiplayer server in Australia and even Ez (Notch's (at the time) Wife) went on it once xD
It survived up until Minecraft beta 1.8, but died due to a large clan war between KoL (the clan that hosted the server, the one I eventually was in charge of) and CoM. I hadn't really played MC for a while but always wanted to start again, it was too late to get back into KoL so thought I'd make one for TFF.
I also envisioned a server like the good-ol' days of MC, basically vanilla, where most of the content is player created rather than server created

However this server is better for smaller amounts of modding, because if the mods are chosen carefully, there will be little to no impact on framerate and lag.

Most mods that were suggested use Forge, this includes the mod in the poll up now (I didn't notice that before).
I can install forge on the server, if people wish, but this will mean that all current mods on the server will be reset and unusable, this includes ESSENTIALS, which basically is the general admin mod and so forth. Configuring this will take some time so it means the server may be down for a bit, but we shouldn't lose our map, just the mods will be different.
I'll put up a new poll for that soon, for treecapitator there are, luckily, a few mods on craftbukkit that essentially do the same thing.

hmm we best not use ftb because some people wont be able to run it on 32 bit systems and microsoft is rising the price of 64 bit to force us to go to 8.1
EDIT: anoni forge isnt a modpack it is like the old modloader but does some auto things that is a hook for mods to use that minecraft then knows that its there or something

what i meant to say before is yes some like to keep the 2 separate but theres also the issue of those who are unable to get the core mods to install right and end up having issues like forge that has files that go into your .jar minecraft file and that is a royal pain to do because you need programs and files and backups of said files incase of a error thats where im not with mods for those who are new to doing such a thing like i was but im still unable to do it because its such a big task

I was just against the over-modding because it'd be inconvenient to manage a lot of mods and it'd ruin the vanilla appeal that anon was going for. (and I like) Cosmetics (like the tail Saph suggested) should be fine, but things with a lot to process can ruin the game in multiple ways, whether it's because someone has a computer that isn't ready for it or because the mod has bad scripts that crash the game or cause troublesome bugs. I once had a friend whose mods conflicted and it deleted his whole map. There was literally nothing left but sky.

i will use buildcraft for a example: buildcraft has gears that go up to diamond 4 of each per gear now to make one of the machines you need 3 diamond gears so
3*4 = 12 diamonds and we all know how rare diamonds are without a luck pick but theres also a reward a machine that will do work for you and possibly return those 12 diamonds in the long run if its the buildcraft quarry theres also the pick so that takes it to 15 diamonds
thermal expansion is a great example of resource usage to get the top tier things you need alot of enderpearls and a good power system with energy hungry machines
see where mods can be useful and annoying at the same time

Transferring to forge will take a while, and we MAY (not entirely sure yet) lose PvP control, but considering no one PvP'd anyway, it mightn't be so bad. If the vote is in support I'll transfer to forge on Friday, the server will probably be offline for a while cause I've got to back everything up, transfer the ranks, install all the new mods and so forth, so it's gonna take a little while. The good news for moderators is that with the current mods I'm going to try, you don't have to learn new commands for ranking people, you just use "/p" instead "/pex".
I'm not sure if clients need to have forge installed in order to play on a server that has forge and I can't find anything on the internet about that. Does anyone know the answer? I have some mods that would, logically, be only server-sided mods, but i want to stray away from client sided mods, at least for the moment.
Just so people understand what I mean when I say server-sided mods and client-sided mods, I'll briefly explain.
There are two things that make up a minecraft game. The client (the player, IE: you) and the server (the thing that connects the players together). A server in general has a Mod interface installed, this is something that makes it easier for modders to "plug in" their mods, without worrying about compatibility issues with other mods and without happening to change any significant files. The current mod interface we have is craftbukkit 1.8, the one we may have in the future is Forge. When a mod interface is installed, there are two types of mods that can be installed.
1. Server-side mods: A server side mod is a mod that runs on the server and doesn't effect the client. This is something like a ranks mod, or a warp mod, or something like that. It's a mod that the client can use even if they themselves don't have the mod. You don't need the same ranking mod in order to play on the server with the ranking mod, the server simply uses the mod and the client doesn't even have to worry about.
2. Client-sided mods: Not all mods are server-sided mods, some mods change minecraft files or are set up in a way that it's impossible for the client to ignore. This includes a mod that adds new blocks or items into the game, the game needs to be changed to reference these new blocks, the server can't do that without consulting the client so the client needs the mod installed as well. For all client-sided mods both the client AND the server need the mod, with the current way forge is set up, if you do not have the mod you WON'T BE ABLE TO JOIN THE SERVER. This is why I'm a bit hesitant to install client sided mods, cause it means people need to download mods on their client in order to play.
If we do install any client-sided mods, I'll create a personal modpack and link it on the original post of this thread. That way installing it should be as easy as clicking a button and dragging and dropping.

The good news is I can confidently switch the server from Forge to Craftbukkit at any time, still retaining all files
The bad news is that the essentials mod that I wanted to use, that would contain all the permissions and so forth, is outdated and does not work for the version of MC that our server runs off. So I'm gonna revert it back to Craftbukkit for now, while I look for a better mod to use

Same problem, at least from my searching, there isn't a Cauldron version for 1.8 and they won't be releasing one, the team are working on something else called "Sponge", which would, I suppose, work in a similar manner. But I dunno much about it

I figured it out. There was the Wither in the Bedrock Warp which meant I couldn't spawn another one. So I killed that one then spawned a new one and killed that :3

Most games work like this anyway, I don't think anyone will have any trouble with that. Also from what I hear, Forge automatically sends the files.
0h, and Bukkit corruption. That is the main reason at this point. Lost diamonds and Netherstar because it deleted the chest containing them.

I don't even play on my server, I just made it for anyone to use it as an alternative without fear of corruption. You can play it just as vanilla as this one right now, you just have to use the "technic" client.

The world has lots of buildings on it so you may find yourself wondering for a while to find a place, and there is the issue with the "corruption" (that has yet to be resolved) where blocks will vanish in seemingly random places, alongside lava and water blocks being placed at random.

But the bottom line is this, if we go to forge it'd be similar to going back to very vanilla minecraft, we'd lose warps (bye bye bedrock), pvpcontrol, and many handy commands that aren't included in vanilla. And it'd also take a while to do, which tbh is hard for me, considering I have been busy looking for jobs and working on 3 assignments due next week. Many of the minecraft mods, including the furniture mod, are not compatible with 1.8. If we did get any 1.8 compatible mods that changed the game data, we'd have to have all users to download it and install it on there own client sided minecrafts, that means if you don't know how to install mods, tough luck.
I know the corruption sucks and I know most people want forge, and I'm trying to think of something to do. One solution is to roll back to 1.7, so we can use some of the mods. But I dunno if we can move a map that was made in 1.8, back to 1.7, and we wouldn't want to lose the map. But if we move to forge on 1.8, we'd basically be going to vanilla. I'm gonna try to do it this weekend, but I feel it's a bad idea that's just gonna cause a whole lot of problems.

Seems like 1.8 renamed or introduced new player items, when connecting to the server, some of the player items cause problems. I'm gonna do some more testing on the server, but if we want to do a change, we may need to replace all our player items or get rid of them altogether. Not an exactly nice choice however! Because that'd mean we'd lose all items everywhere, including in chests! This might not be the case, but either way as is, players will be stuck in the "login" screen when connecting to the server, they'll also have to revert their clients to 1.7.10, which is not difficult thanks to minecrafts launcher.
While I figure this out, I have another little idea to test, to see if it gets rid of the corruption. I'm loading a different version of Spigot, rather than directly craftbukkit, it's a different jar altogether so may get rid of the corruption, but that's just a guess. For now, I'm gonna remove the player data from the world, I've backed it up though so don't worry, just keep in mind that all changes you do now may be replaced eventually as I load the backed up world!
UPDATE: Alright I can't reconcile the "stuck in logging-in" problem, it could be caused by a plugin, in which case I'd need to remove all plugins. I'll try that tomorrow, for now, I'm loading spigot and the backed up map.
So to summarize:
- Tried to load up Cauldron, map works but joining server doesn't. Not entire sure why, server chucks an error on loading about essentials so it may be an error ther, may need to find a different essentials plugin to use, will do that tomorrow.
- For now, we're running Spigot, Spigot is a different plugin to craftbukkit but it's very similar. Not entirely sure if the corruption will remain, but for now it's a good test to see if it goes away then, so if you still see the corruption be sure to tell me.
Oh and server will be offline for about an hour while I restore the worlds state, in case any (unknown) corruption occurred.

Also someone nicked all my precious stuff. Diamonds, gold and iron all gone.

No. I had been off the server for some time and have had no issues with other people on the server. The attack was totally random because other people's homes were also burned down. So whoever it was had no connection to me or a reason to dislike me.

- Put up three "Grape Was Here" signs
- Burned part of Straw's chicken farm (and repaired it), let out a lot of chickens (and helped eliminate them) and sploded a field (filled in the hole).

At this point I am convinced that playing Minecraft is like riding a bike. At least, until they implement a major update. But besides that, the game comes naturally, to me at least.

3. aperson logged in and warped to St.Mary, however he was warping to every warpable location and only stayed in St.Mary for about... 10 seconds, as well this was about 30-40 hours after it was discovered, so it's unlikely aperson caused it.
4. Nic. Apparently Nic was in Hillside with Alistar or something and spawned horses and chickens but they didn't seem to cause any damage (Note: This was probably related to the incident Grape was talking about before). However, curiously, at about 3 hours before it was discovered, Nic did go online and "burn to death" but it was impossible for him to be anywhere near St.Mary at the time because of his previous warps. So I think Nic is unlikely too.
5. Alistar was on a lot of times by himself. The reason I don't really think he did it is because everytime he logged on, if there was no one on he'd log off about 10-15 seconds later. Anytime someone else was on he'd immediately teleport or move towards them, so it's unlikely he was able to cause the destruction at that time.

Lockette Plugin: First, in case some people didn't know, we have a new plugin installed on the server! It's a plugin that allows you to lock chests and doors and make them invincible. To lock a chest or a door, simply write a sign with the first line written as "[PRIVATE]", you can use the third line and fourth line to write who should have access to the chest or door. There are some more sophisticated things you can do with it, so be sure to check out the video linked in the Original Post.
Screenshot competition: I've been thinking that the current screenshot we have in the Original post of this minecraft thread is getting old, the server has expanded so much more since then so why not get a new screenshot? I'm now running a screenshot competition and the best screenshot will have their screenshot plastered on the original post and may get some extra goodies on the way. The only criteria is that the screenshot must be taken ON the TFF server, it can have any texture packs or outside editing you want. To submit your screenshot simply post in this thread OR send me a personal message on the thread.
Markers: Anyone who has recently gone onto Dynmap may of noticed some of the neat little markers that are dotted around key landmarks. Well, I decided the map has expanded enough to put markers on things and there are a lot of really cool landmarks scattered around the area. The only problem is I dunno who the landmarks belong to, or what the landmarks should be called. So if you want a marker on your landmark (be it a house, city, or a cool ruin you found), just post in this thread with the name and location! If you're unhappy with the name or icon around a landmark you made, simply PM me and I can change it.

Why do you want to be a mod?: I want to be able to act on suspicious activity instead of just standing idle waiting for a moderator, as well as being able to stop bad things from happening before they start.
How active are you?: I haven't been too active because of college, but I will most likely be on daily for a few hours
Do you have any experience?: Yes, quite a bit actually! Though it is not up right now, I have my own Minecraft server that I have had for a few years (about 2-3). I've been modded on a few other servers, but those have all died out.
Also, a little note. My old base, the big wooden plus sign, is vacant now. Anyone can take it, though it seems saph was interested.

Hey there! :3. Griefing is essentially vandalism and stealing of anothers property. Thus it is really hated because it's kinda wrong to take someones stuff without permission or vandalize their home even if it's a game. Luckily my house is in the middle of an ocean so I haven't been a target at all.

1. IT MUST BE A PLUGIN THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH CRAFTBUKKIT OR SPIGOT 1.8! I'm not downloading external mods, have had too many problems with them
2. It must not be too laggy, anti-grief plugins, particularly ones that log block breaks, can cause a lot of stress on the server and will make the server more laggy
3. It must not restrict too much freedom. I like our server because you sort of can build where you want, I don't really want a plugin that sort of micromanagers where people can and can't build too much, sort of takes the fun out of MC.

Based on the comments and the authors notes however, it's incompatible with the latest version of MC, but he's working on an update. He seems to be continuing to work on the project. So I might install it sometime (not tonight) and take it for a test run.
It logs a lot of data, so not entirely sure how they keep it fast, a bit skeptical but we'll see.

It's still uncertain who griefed St. Mary. The issue with the member recently was for other incidents. They may have still been related, but we don't have enough proof to make that conclusion, and at this point I'm afraid we never will.

This. My internet isn't extremely fast, but the connection is pretty good and I rarely lag. It could also be your computer.

Well yeah except I had the same sword before except normally enchanting it with all the enchants I want to put on it now but I lost it.
And I tried doing it in creative mode on my own world and it worked so *shrugs* I just want my godly sword back x3

I was playing Minecraft on my PS3 the other day and while I was redecorating and adding more light, Mobs kept spawning inside my Anti-Mob Torch Field.... It pissed me off because I got killed from back spawns.. it would be nice if they didn't spawn behind you.... not so close anyways.

I've been playing on this server for quite a while now, but this server looks like almost vanilla to me. It may be just me tho.
Either way, I would like to participate of making a new spawn point. Maybe a 100 blocks square radius cuboid where no one can build except for Moderators+? I know that the one there's currently is good enough to serve the needs, but in my opinion is too plain. I think that we (server players) need something way better than this.

EDIT1: I have a suggestion, allow more than 1 home per player. For those who dont know what I'm talking about, command is /home HOMENAME and /sethome HOMENAME.
If and admins are looking for what the permissions are, [LINK (http://wiki.ess3.net/wiki/Command_Reference/Perm)], use CTRL+F and type 'home'. you should find something like 'essentials.sethome.multiple' and 'essentials.sethome.multiple.[set name]', those are the permissions. Also yes, the server is intentionally vanilla. The whole mental process of making this server was a throwback to the good old days of servers, where everything was player managed and vanilla. There was no iconomy, no factions, nothing like that, it was all just community ran, trading was based on the supply and demand, not some server mandated price range. Friendships and foes came around naturally. But these days the only servers you can find are feed the beast, hardcore servers, tekkit, etc. All of it has been overblown with new features, this is a call-back to the good old days where only the bare essential mods were used and everything else was for the community to figure out.

Multiple homes would be a great addition, one that should definitely be considered. Although, if I had a say, I'd like the ability to use the /tpa command as a priority.
Donate to TFF (so your name is purple) and you'll be given access to /tpa, /tpahere, /top, /kittycannon, /hat, and a wealth of other commands.
If you become a trusted as well you'll get access to just /tpa or /tpahere

No, unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. Everyone needs to sync mods manually if we're to use any, which requires a different launcher, someone hosting the modpacks, blah blah blah basically it's not convenient in terms of inclusivity.

I think it would be neat, aesthetically, mainly because I like making my avatars for games representative of me. But it would be cool if a "more player models" mod was made that gave you different qualities based on models you add.
Like if you gave yourself wings, you could fly, but you would move slow and lose hunger faster. And use of a mod/plugin that could let you train your speed, health, and more would add a nice incentive to the game.

Application noted, I don't think you've been on the server long enough to warrant a moderator position, but if you're active, start up your own things, try to get people involved in the server and stuff, then we'll definitely consider it further :)

I plan for there to be a unveiling for the new map, where we set up a time, all go on and start constructing our new world! How does that sound?

The problem is we won't get some of the new content, they've added some new natural blocks and have also redone a bit of the world generation. I also think that, it's been a year, so might as well start a new? Big structures are cool and all but once you've made them that's sort of it. I'll definitely save the old map and make it available for anyone to download to marvel at, but as far as keeping the old map for the entire server... don't you think it's time to start anew?

There are currently several open free lots to build a house or whatever else you'd like. There's also a few places marked for a specific type of building, such as the Marketplace shop lots, the Inn, and a cylinder tower.
You can divide big free lots as you wish. Remember to not build on the roads and slab slopes!
I'll be opening more lots as the city progresses.

It has come to my attention that I am very busy and thus have not been able to give the MC server the love and joy that it requires.
However, there's no reason why someone else who is skilled at running an MC server can take up that role of updating/installing mods people want and so forth.
So I'm taking applications (either PM or post here) for MC techie. Please note an MC techie is not the same as an admin, you'll have permission to add mods but that doesn't mean you'll have community privillages and so forth. Also you have to be brought in by the current staff team.
Preferable experience with running bukkit/spigot servers would be good.

This was due to an outstanding payment of the server, even though there was money in the account. My email flagged the messages of the overdue payment as spam so I didn't see him.
I have sent an email to bisect hosting about it to see if we can regain our service.

However, unfortunately we had to change to a new IP address so currently minecraft.thefurryforum.com won't work, need to get Tweak to configure that for us.
For now you may connect to the server using the IP address (and port): 192.95.46.23:25565

My minecraft is experiencing some weird difficulties so I haven't tested it, but I've ran some tests through the console and everything seems to be in place.

Not everything is entirely finished as I've been bouncing around among them, but here's the rundown:
Library - Read and enchant books and gear. Random enchanted books can be found on the shelves, too, so check regularly. You can also write your own books and share them here! (remember to make copies just in case) I'll add some myself at some point.
Gaia Temple - A place for those who adore the planet and its splendor... as well as free stuff. A community donation area is in the basement, where everyone can share spare materials and odds and ends. I've yet to set a way to organize everything, so if anyone wants to help with that, feel free. There's quite a lot of storage!
Hospital - Take shelter here (and your medicine)! There's a place for brewing your own potions, plus random ones throughout the rooms. But you wouldn't steal meds from a patient, would you?
Starlight Complex - Have your own apartment! 7 floors, four apartments each, but you can combine two for one big apartment! You can change the wood floor, add walls, and decorate as you wish. There's a pool on the roof!
Spawnton Station - It's skyway or the highway! That's right, we're working on the skyrail network! Set up a train station in your town (or ask me (or MrSetcho if he wants) if you want it built for you. First request we get is free!) and reserve a spot in the Spawnton Station for the rail. The rail is built for free!
If your town is close enough to another town already with a connected station, we'll connect yours to that station to allow transfer. Now we'll be able to travel with ease -- short of warping, but that's not as fun, is it?
Plenty of free lots are still open for the taking, so don't be afraid to help make this city great! You don't even need to ask me, just build! If you have any questions, ask away.
