I remember as a eagerly 16 year old buying this on Xbox 360 (when the dashboard looked great)

And playing it and being with friends. Man i loved that game.
I feel Facebook and Social media ruins social norms with what internet is doing in general. But that's just me.

I really did not like Sonic 2006, I however loved (and still love) Sonic Adventure Battle 2, the same experience as you describe, but with the added bonus of the Choa garden and my friends and I competing for the best choa and discovering new things organically, like new choa and romance dances and what-not

I haven't played the game and I'm not planning to after seeing this:

Oh you should. I mean i know it might seem hard and glitchy. But its a really fun game if you have an open mind. The graphics and the experience you get from it is truly amazing. I think the problem with most games now is that they stop taking chances on new ideas and are instead making remakes.
I hope to try this again sometime. I mean, i might have a foundness of it because i was so exited on getting it back in the days, i tried the demo and was eager to get my hands on the game.
Either way, i understand if people have different taste that suits this way ^^

As someone who loves games, I think everyone should play it so they understand how bad a game can be but. I also enjoy it simply down to how buggy it is.

I think Sonic 2006 is fun because of how many glitches there are to have fun with.
-
I have Sonic 2006...My god it glitch on me.....

Oh, right... that game. Kinda what made me realize how stagnant Sonic and it's fandom were becoming.

Sonic 2006 had pretty amazing graphics when it came out. I think they just stopped trying new stuff and just went with the flow. basically remaking games instead of making new ideas. Its kinda what Nintendo has started doing aswell, after the success of Wii they basically have used the old ideas over again. Super Mario Sunshine was for example pretty decent game when it was on Gamecube.

I bet, when I walk into GameStop, ask for a copy of sonic 06, they're just gonna hand it to me like "Tag, you're it! HAHA, it's your problem now!" Like, you know a game is bad when it's only $1.50, I legit could've just brought that in for the trade game in Econ. XD

Shouldn't judge a game based on prize, reviewers or what other say. Even if majority says "its true" doesn't always mean it is. The same way that some can think Justin Bieber is a great singer, while some will disagree.
For me, i like a game if the game experience or the game itself is cool or fun. Atleast i felt that when i played it for the first time.
But if its your honest opinion then its cool. People like different things so that's alright ^^

Well I played 2006, and the only good factor I can come from it is that Silver was sort of cool, but there are much better sonic games you should consider.
-
My favorites are "Sonic 3 and knuckles" and "Sonic Adventure 2". I became a huge Sonic fan when i first played "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle" on Gamecube. It was just too awesome ^^
-
Absolutely! You can actually get that game on steam now (but for $20 which is a lot for a game made so long ago)
-
I have those games on Xbox 360. Sonic CD, Sonic 1-3 and Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.

Haven't played any Sonic games since the old Genesis titles, but I admire this kind of effort from professional developers. They told themselves the skybox was the limit.
They were right. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncmrm9p5gQ8)
