Alright first and foremost so it is not confused: I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ROOMMATES! just asking for advice or anything that could possibly help, not a fan of moving in with someone i havent even known online for long :/
ANYWAY, well, as of right now, come Thanksgiving I will be without a place to live. I am currently living in college apartments, but since I have to do a medical withdrawal, i will be getting evicted then due to the time frame being 3 weeks before the end of semester. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on things I might be able to do while out of a place? I also have no phone, so that means no job as well since no one will hire someone without a phone (so much for this being the age where email is used for everything). If you can give any tips or tricks to surviving, especially with winter coming up fast (already snowed here TWICE and stuck both times), I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Someone? please? need some assistance here, last time i did this it didnt turn out too well, and that wasnt even in winter :/
i figured someone may have been in this situation before and could help?
either way i need assistance with like tips and stuff, especially since it is winter now :/

have you tried getting in touch with any local charities? maybe there's one that can help you find a place to stay for a while
-
already looked into it to be honest, and nothing around except religious shelters i would rather be on the streets from :/
like, seriously, these "religious" shelters are more cults because they basically say "do everything like our religion or get out onto the streets" so within a week i would be out anyway (i do not tolerate people forgoing the BASIC rule of religion just so others can become a part of their religion)
but yeah, anyway, nothing around except that, so yeah :/

So your reason for not looking for a job is because you don't have a phone? Are you serious? You can EASILY get a job through craigslist helping someone move or clean for some petty cash and buy a crappy pre paid one for 30 bucks. You have a computer now so I'd be using it to it's fullest ability to accumulate money. I've done this enough times to survive off buying the same crappy gas station food for 5 months. I found a job with a moving company paying me $15/hour to lift things. I even found a production company to hire me as a movie extra for $12/hr. They never asked me for a phone number, they just told me to show up.
You want a place to stay but don't want roomates? If you don't want roommates/a roommate then you have no right to complain about living in a shelter or on the street because you cant afford a place on your own, which I know for a FACT is not as safe as a single room being shared with one other person, who may be a lot nicer and hospitable than you think.
Do you have any friends with a spare room willing to take you in for a short time? My friend let a co-worker live in his basement for a month after she was evicted before she could move. For free. All she did was clean the place up. My ex even let my friend who suffered from a cocaine addiction live in her basement for 6 months after he was kicked out of the Army and his own house. Really, if he can find a place to live, I think you can too.
If you're in college apartments does that not mean you're in college? Maybe look into financial aid until you're forced out of there? Yeah its debt, but it's not like you're willing to go about getting a real job atm. You really have no choice. No job = no money = no food => stabbing people for their wallet, and we don't want that.
Surviving is surviving. It's ugly and you take what you get. There's no room for comfort or nice things, just working a sweat for a worthless cheque or even the scraps left on a table at the mall food court, only to take a bath in the sink of a public washroom and sleeping under a bridge hoping you don't get robbed or stabbed.
If you want to survive, finding a room mate should be the least of your concerns. It should actually be a priority so you can get a real job in the meantime.

okay a few things Spike:
1. dont assume that i havent (REMOVED) tried, and plus, with no transport of my own, im **censor** in that aspect too.
2. i said i wasnt asking for roommates from random people. i have been led on too many times by supposedly good people to be that damn trusting. (REMOVED) i dont want to be in some random person i dont even know's house.
3. if i had any, why would i ask for advice on this? thats right! i wouldnt.
4. lets see, if that was an option, do you think i would be asking for advice on this? thats right! i wouldnt.
5. its not so much the fact of im not taking what i can get, its the fact of i wouldnt last a full week more than likely in there, because what i said they do is taking the BASIS of religion and throwing it out the window.
6. make up your mind. seriously. read that last line again. "should be the least of your concerns." "should be a top priority." (REMOVED) this is not a joke to me, it is seriously the difference between life and death more than likely due to (REMOVED) SNOW already having fallen, and stuck around for about THREE (REMOVED) DAYS.
PS: in order of paragraph of yours.

These tips might be something you already know/ or doing but... Something is always better :D
HEAT
A. wear long shirt first, shorter one later
B. wear a multiple cloth that are more "tight to you body" and tuck the upper cloth into lower one to have less body heat leaving your body. Also you can use rubber band or small string to tie up the collar(?) (where your arms comes out) so your body heat don't escape/keep the most heat. Same for head (hat), hand(glove)
C. try to find "emergency blanket"(basically it's blanket foil cover to reflect back your body heat) in near dollar tree or walmart/etc. [It is often in medical supply section or first aid package.]
D. wrap the blanket like a Caterpillar or find/buy sleeping bag
E. get some cardboard or something to make a temporary wall and put a foil inside of wall as foil keeps the heat from sun allows you to keep you warm... (somewhat)
Starting Fire:
5 Ways to Start a Fire, Using Water (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCyHC7lnMyQ#ws) (bottle method is most portable) starts at 1:44 and regular shape bottle works too just round shape gives you easier time with concentrating light.
Remember.. fire/heat/foil is your friend!
use YouTube and search for "life hack and survival tip"
use Wikipedia to make your own book or Download the ENTIRE Wikipedia in your laptop... (yes... I am guessing it's x < 100GB on your Hard drive)

hope this helps and good luck! ^_^

If you're not willing to room with those "cultists" then are you really that desperate for a place to stay?
Having an intolerant mind like that narrowed your options by a pretty large margin.
-
A. i already said i wasnt looking for a place to stay, that was the very first line in the very first post.
B. you say that like 3 weeks after i post this? really? i already have somewhere im staying. if someone could lock this thread please? really dont want people complaining about pointless crap on here just because they can.
-
I apologize, I just don't like blatant overgeneralization, and I call it out despite the context or date posted.
No idea how to lock the thread though, usually it's by the reply/mark as read/etc. options (on other sites), or you could ask a moderator.

Locked thread under OP's request. If you would like this thread unlocked, please PM me
