Well I'm no artist, but I can say that your proportions are a bit off. The head feels a bit too small for the neck, and the arms too small for the body.
I'm probably wrong, but those are my thoughts.

Proportions aside, I can see you pay attention to muscle tone and overall detail for even the base sketch. I have full faith that you will get better, just keep practicing! I'm no artist, but I can tell you that I DID NOT pick up a guitar and play well. It took me 6 months to be barely okay. X3  Just keep practicing!

DO NOT QUIT. I SWEAR TO THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER IF YOU QUIT…
I'm not even a Pastafarian…

Okay. Well, yes, proportions are big here. Now. I will tell you that I'm so bad, so bad, at drawing hands, and sometimes muscles. And the back of the left thigh, depending if you are doing Digitigrade or not, the back of the thigh will need to be thicker, ya get my drift? The head has great structure, but yes it is too small. But hey, everyone has to start somewhere. And the base of the back of the ear a bit larger. Keep practicing! I believe that you'll be a great artist. You have a nice start. Keep going!!

Thanks for all the comments so far. If anyone was wondering I did use the image I've attached as a guide on how to draw.
On a side note I have placed an order with my college for a book on how to draw anthropomorphic  animals. So I will probably start drawing again at some point next month as I have to wait for them to check out the price and if it's ok then I have to wait for them to order it. Basically long story short I have to wait till after the October half term break.

It's great that your using references. It's the way every artist learns and gets better. Just remember that you aren't other artists (don't take this the wrong way!), so it's okay to deviate from how others draw since no two artist naturally drawing the same way. You could think of each artist as a snow flake with a logic. XD

Anyway keep practicing and remember that an average anthro character is about 6 to 7 heads tall and male are about 2 heads wide. I started with lined paper until I got a rough idea of height. Keep up the good work.
