Well, I've officially done it! I'm having a fursuit made for me. I've commissioned a local maker to make a suit for me of the following character.

The suit will cost me $1175 total, and includes the following features:
- foam base head with 3D toony eyes
- 4 finger toony style hand paws with black fur and tan/offwhite pads
- medium size, brown and white, bushy, fox style tail
- a plantigrade bodysuit with simple markings, 3 colours (white, 2 browns) and a puffy white chest
- 2 sets of feet paws, outdoor sole and indoor, both black and brown
I'm really excited about this and can't wait to see its progress.

Please, I could always use some tips. So new to all of this, even though I've been a fur for so long now.

Thank you so much! It's really appreciated!
A little update for everyone. Although I've yet to put the deposit down for my fursuit, I have begun preparing for its eventual arrival. Part of that was ordering a dive skin to wear underneath the fursuit. For those of you not aware, a dive skin is a one-piece lycra body suit that helps to protect you while you are scuba diving or snorkeling. Generally it is worn under a wet suit but is sometimes worn on its own.

This is my dive suit, which actually arrived 3 days after it had been paid for! That is the fastest shipping I have ever seen. You can tell it is a very snug fit, which is important, and I can indeed attest to the fact that it does keep you cool. After less than half an hour of wearing it, I could actually feel the coolness on my back. You can see the little thumb straps that keep the arms from riding up, but on the legs there also are straps which attach to the feet to prevent the legs from riding up as well.
Still to come is the lycra balaclava, which I also ordered, to prevent my sweat from getting into my eyes when I'm in the suit. Also ordered is a bandana to tie around his neck.
Expect more updates soon... Thanks for watching.

Yay! I've had my measurements taken for my fursuit! I'm almost there! All that's left to do now is to get my deposit paid so he can begin constructing it. So excited!

Ugh your soooo lucky I might make mine soon but idk

I recently got a message from a builder I commissioned some time ago as well ^^ I'm "only" getting a partial and I have two heads from before, but this is my first custom-made suit... It's so hard to wait, but at the same time, it's fun to have something to look forward to.

The deposit is in, the materials are being ordered and soon the fursuit will be put together. I'm really excited here. It won't be ready for this fall's Halloween furwalk, or the fall furmeet in November, but it will be ready for the Furnal Equinox convention in Toronto in March. Now that I'm really looking forward to. I will post update pictures as I get them to show everyone how it is coming along.
