What would it be?
Mine would probably have to be reading comments on YouTube. I pretty much avoid doing so with 99% of the videos I watch on there. The majority being immature people talking a lot of trash, often times with prejudice/racial/derogatory terms being thrown out like they are 12 year olds (Some of them are actually) on an unintelligent internet hate spree. I know it happens on lots of sites besides YouTube, but YT has become like the mecca of horrid comments over the last several years.

Equestrian dreamer's....nothing more to say

Ironically this would probably be mine to, to a degree :D
Also, two instances of being ignored for an extended period of time by long-distance ex's while I was still with them, following break ups.

i by mistake started a fight on twitter between 2 big youtubers in the tech area
EDIT:my worst is now a youtube hater oh bo ho you can use a CAPS BUTTON i hope it makes him feel special oh what he uses the name internet troll so thats just fun to pick on him with

I've had some pretty bad experiences/arguments on forums before too, but compared to the evil crap I see on YouTube comments before, not even close to being the worst for me.
-
The worst experience on the internet for me was problem when a Garrys mod clan decided to DDoS our server for 2 months, with the stupid server hosts doing absolutely nothing about it and not giving us access to do anything about it ourselves. $80 down the drain cause of some dickhead.
-
Had a pedo on my tail (on the internet only) when I was 12-13..
Ended up completely "starting over" my internet-life to get rid of him, which wasn't really a too big thing at the time since everything was pretty new to me and I hadn't been on the net for more than a few months at most..
If something happened today that'd force me to do something similar to that, it'd be a complete disaster and even top that thing as "the worst experience on the internet"
-
well mine was just now someone tried to get me to hand over everything i could about them or they would hack me they tried hacking me i won with ease i broke into their pc and played with the sys 32 files lets just say they wont be reinstalling windows or any os on that drive again or messing with me and cheza thats when you call the cops

I'm gonna say just about every time I log into FA. Mostly because there's a lot of sexist/ableist/trasphobic crap that happens on that site.
...Also there was a time where I was trolled off of an account when I was younger because people thought I was copying Squeedgemonster because I had a halloween dragon character even though the designs looked nothing alike.

FurAffinity in general is not a site I consider "reputable" by any means.
But as for mine? The Garry's Mod community or the GTA4 communities at large. You really have to comb through the shit, or just get extremely lucky, to find at least decent people on there, it feels like.

Oh god, don't get me started on those communities xD You think youtube is bad? You haven't met bad until you go through these communities xD
I've already mentioned the garrysmod community badness, but I have to add the sheer amount of hackers in GTAIV who literally just go around crashing servers for no reason other than to piss people off.

My worse internet experience? It was absolute hell.
I actually known the person IRL back then. They were a horrible person, they were snooty and thought they were better than everyone else.
This person happened to find one of my online identities. And then they somehow managed to hack it...
They put stuff on my account like "mine and Lou's art" and "I share this account with my best friend Lou :) " which was absolutely creepy and terrifying.
I didn't find out who this person was until they managed to find and hack my email. They sent messages to all of my contacts pretending to be me, and had sent offensive messages to my friends.
I think they hacked at least 3 accounts of mine? But they did so much damage...
Thankfully I somehow managed to get rid of this control-freak. I haven't heard from them since. I really hope this sort of thing doesn't happen to me again ono

These are some interesting stories. Thanks to all of you for sharing.

Worst experience online...? I don't really remember any specific one that stood out. There was a photo of me with a nasty message overlaid on top of it that was floating around for a bit. There was a huge argument with my friend. There was the constant battle between two gaming servers that ended my friendship with that friend. Other than that... not a lot.

Social Network. "Deleted and proud"

Spacedicks on reddit

Probably several RP's i've had where the guy proposes kinks I hadn't even heard of (And probably wish I never did)
-
Well... the worst thing or experience has to go to youtube cause of the ''wrong side of youtube'' and the fact that subscribers seem hard to get. Other things have happened but not as bad, oh 2nd worst is the toon porn.... my childhood and the improper anatomies are enough to top it.
-
what tim said about the wrong side of the internet but mine turned out to be twitter and the subs will grow show videos to ur friends and such

Back, and I think I've thought of one. I was in an online relationship for just under 1 year and that was both the best and worst experience I had on the internet. When she found out I was a furry she hated it, and would not let me bring it up - nor except it. She was unable to live with the fact and prayed to god it was a stage - even though she was atheist. For respect towards her I do not want to get into any further details.

I had a few bad experiences. A lot happen when I play CoD because there are a lot of disrespectful people on there.
I get made fun of a decent amount for pony related emblems, but usually just random jerks have fun by yelling and insulting me
Another bad community is the ifunny community as many people are extremely against bronies and furries and emos there. There are tons of offensive profiles.
The worst I saw was a gif of someone setting a dog on fire and watching it run around burning to death.
It was one of the most intense and terrible things I've ever seen.

Jesus i keep seeing pictures of various mutilated animals that are posted by anti's and the like...i am surprised people do that to us...Just to **censor** with us

It really makes me wonder what kind of society people are growing up in to be able to be so cruel to animals and rude to people

Hmm.. I'd say where having too much knowledge can be like having a doubled edged sword.
I was searching for my mother online to finally meet this idolized stranger of my childhood. I spent a very long time looking and one day decided to search my own name and that of my twin's at the same time. The very first link nearly stopped my heart. Someone was searching for me instead! I was dumbstruck that it even worked by searching backwards.
I clicked the link and read what it said.
It wasn't my mother but someone else looking for me.
I found out that there are other candidates aside from the man I have known my entire life to be my father. To this day I do not know who my biological father is and do not want to know. But at the tender age of 16 this news was devastating to me. I had no idea who or where my mother was and I then had to question if my dad was really my dad.
There wasn't a way for me to contact the poster of this shocking post online so it was nearly 8 years later when I found my mother and got to speak with this potential father.
But yes, while looking for information, I found it. But I was not ready for it.

Well there was this one time while I was in the Brony Analysis group, this sad excuse for a human being recorded our private Skype calls, harassed our members, made slander accounts, AND deleted content on a shared Google Drive we used for collaboration. This same individual is still trying to "Bring down the Analysis Community" simply because we kicked him out of our Skype group for causing nothing but trouble. End of the day, we just try to ignore him; as it is he buries his own reputation by posting things to his twitter accounts, typically either misogynistic comments or the examples listed above.
Other than that, can't say as I've had any horrible experiences like Cat-fishing or anything T_T

Worst experience for me was probably when my first skype group went down the tubes. It was my first IM group and I was the chat master. We just celebrated out first year together but a few of the people were bad eggs and started causing trouble by spamming the chat with emoticons, but the rest of the chat turned on me when I removed them, It went downhill from there and I got allot of flack for being a furry until I ended up having to make a whole new Skype just to get away from them.
