I honesty am surprised that this does not already around. Just put what you want and comment about it if you feel like it.
Also this is not a competition to see which is best ((that is your individual opinion, and to each his own))
-
i play on both pc and ps3 and i cant really compare them because they both have games i like
-
I feel like this could've benefited from having multiple choices, because I could've chosen all of them .w.
-
I picked Steam because that's what I most commonly use, but I also play non Steam games as well as my 360
-
For me It's PC, Wii and DS ... Those are the ones I enjoy the most :P

I mainly play on steam but I prefer nintendo
-
I play exclusively on my PC, but I don't play games very much.

I picked other, because I play everything listed.

I picked Nintendo because though I mainly play PC these days, I've played Nintendo longer.

Maybe its an idea to make it so that you can choose multiple options, since some of use use multiple platforms

Hey Nintendo is coming back. I don't think it will ever beat Steam but that is ok

Nintendo needs to get their act together if they want to offer serious competition. Sadly, they've allowed themselves to slip. Where before it used to be all about the games, they suddenly got caught up in the gimmickry. (3D, motion sensing, LCD screen controllers, etc.) What made Nintendo such a great company was that they did not compromise on the quality of their games. The hardware was secondary. But they've changed, and not for the better, I think.
-
I doubt anything will beat Steam. Both Steam and Valve are god like.
-
data i am sorry but as it shows in my sig i use both my ps3 and steam for very good reasons on both
PS3 reasons: i have games that i cant find on steam or pc like ratchet and clank jetpack joyride and a whole lot of others
pc reasons: i can go on the net better i can play games like unturned left 4 dead i can do my own game levels on it
conclusion PC AND CONSOLE ARE THE SAME THING

conclusion PC AND CONSOLE ARE THE SAME THING
That's where I disagree. The reason that consoles exist are for the gamers that truly want convenience, a real sense of plug-and-play. Yeah, you can go out, make the most amazing gaming computer out there, get all the drivers for your controllers and this and that, then play the game, but at the end of the day a console is as easy as grabbing the controller, flopping on your couch and turning it on.
PC gaming and Console gaming are different for a lot of people. and as close as consoles are getting to PC's, and as close as PC games are getting to consoles, we're gonna have to wait a few more generations before that line isn't noticeable.
-
I don't have a PS3 and if I did it would probably be my favourite console (if it was backwards compatible) but I can't afford it currently, So I'll just stick to my PS2 and Steam.
-
yea as my user bars show steam user and ps3 owner i had to get ratchet and clank remastered on ps3
-
Although I used to only play on Xbox360 and I still play it and the Xbox One a little, I had to go with steam because I spend more time on it for 2 reasons:
A) Soooooo much variety in games!!
B) Many times while playing games I get inspiration to do game dev so it just became more convenient to stay on PC
:P
-
Maybe I should start playing on steam
-
What if we play on steam and X Box? Should be able to vote multiple options.
-
How can you have a poll about gaming without including the PC? I do not use steam - i think its quite stupid how complicated it is to just start a game that SHOULD be on my computer - afterall I bought it. It also had many bugs when I used it.

The only game I llay from pc is Star Wars EAW just because steam would not accept my key, I enjoy steam because it keeps everything together and provides a good online system, however I will say ive had my fair share of issues with steam. Personally I think xbox has done the best job when it comes to their online platform.
-
I put other because I use all of them and like all of them. So yeah. As of right now though I only have access to a computer and emulators, sooooo yeah :/

On the PC vs Console debate I'm gonna break it down.
Consoles are computers that are specifically designed to play games (although some are now having extra features put on them >.>), they are designed only for the purpose to play games and this impacts their development.
PROS:
- They are easy to use, they are for people who want to relax and play a game and so they have tried to make that as intuitive and easy as possible.
- The cost to quality ratio of the hardware is great, for $500 you can purchase the same processing power of a PC that is more than twice as expensive (if bought from a store).
- They have split screen, which is POSSIBLE on PC's but difficult to set up
PC's on the other hand are NOT designed specifically to play games, they are designed as general purpose computers but the interesting thing is, this actually offers a considerable amount of advantages to gamers, basically nothing is "set up for you" directly, but the possibility to set basically ANYTHING up is there.
PROS:
- PC's are considerably more modular and customizable. You can create a PC that is considerably more powerful than any consoles as well as tweaking in game files to play the game YOU want to play, not just the game the developer made. These include mods, graphic tweaks, etc.
- PC's are much more friendly to the open source community. You can create games, download games for extremely cheap on steam, play online games, share games with your friends. There is not as much corporate process in terms of producing, releasing and even developing games on PC, as these are done through the internet rather than through business like EB games. Steam and Origin offer very great open alternatives to try and decrease "shady" procedures that offline stores simply can't match
- PC's are designed to do EVERYTHING, which means when you play a game you can also talk to friends, check facebook, do whatever you want. I'm a fan of multitasking and I tend not to like focusing on ONLY my game for a set period of time. I do like to multitask and bit and do more stuff!
PC's are my favoured thing. The customizability of the PC beats the ease of use of the console. It's the same with Android and Iphone, I'll pick android because I prefer the customizability of the android over the reliability and ease of use the iphone offers.
-
I currently play PC only because I'm a broke student. A couple hundred bucks for a console would cover taking my A+ certification.
-
I play on Nintendo systems, and the Playstation. However, I only play on my PS3 because my computer is really old and can't run most games. I am building a gaming PC though, and will probably never touch my PS3 after that.
-
I play on my PS4 most of the time if I am playing video games. If I'm not I'm talking to my pack
(Cori, Zeph and Maska)
-
I play on the Xbox One.
Luke....I am your father. (Voice effects)
-
I have PS2 and sega genisis ya im that old
-
I play PS3, I have a Steam, but, keyboard and mouse? No thank you, shoot me in the foot, just, nah. Plus I don't wanna be a PC Elitist, I'm fine with being a normal Elitist, thank you very much. Plus, you can take consoles with you when you travel. Bored in your hotel room? Plug in your PS3 and go nuts.
-
Hate to break it to ya but you can do the same with a laptop :3
Then again I am exclusively a PC gamer, and simply don't see the point in a console when I have a computer (Ignoring exclusives :'( ) I have also NEVER used a controller
-
I know laptops exist, but they're for business mostly. From what I've seen, pretty much all PC exclusives are just over hyped RPGs. Lemme just beat ya to TF2, Gmod and Half Life. Take out any commonly used titles.
-
This war of mine, ARMA Dayz, tropico (I think), STALKER, lotsa cool stuff if ya look. It's not very hard to release indie games on console too, so pretty much like %90 of em. And let's not forget mods for skyrim, fallout, etc. War thunder, now that I think about it.
Having played both, I prefer PC. Had a PS2 for several years, still have an xbox 360 slim. Console has it's merits, true. You can just plug and play. But PC, you can mods.
-
One reason i play on PC is because of games like Payday2 and TF2. Games that are dead and outdated on console.
