an extension of this (http://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=25032.0) thread. Just some questions that I'd otherwise forgotten, hadn't though about, or otherwise had not included in the original poll.

I belong to a handful of other fandoms, but I feel as though furry is more... socially-oriented? Many other fandoms revolve around a particular franchise that people may socialize over, but furry revolves more around a set of themes and ideas. I've never seen this number of social websites, local events, etc, in other fandoms.
