Hey, everyone. The idea of this thread is pretty simple, and based on this tumblr page: http://everyday-carry.com/ (http://everyday-carry.com/)
So, just post an image of all the items you typically carry on you. If you have different loadouts for different days/purposes (like a work loadout vs. a casual loadout, for example), explain what each one is for. Also, list and describe each item in your EDC, and if you want, post a link to somewhere other furs can buy it, if possible.
Here's my EDC:
From left to right:
1. Benchmade Mini Griptilian, combo edge, black blade. (http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/BM556SBK/Benchmade-556SBK-Mini-Griptilian-291-inch-Black-Combo-Edge-Blade-Black-Handle) This is my utility knife, used for general cutting purposes.
2. Schrade Titanium Pry Tool (http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/SCHSCTPT/Schrade-325-inch-Titanium-Rescue-Multifunctional-Pry-Tool-Stonewash-Finish?&utm_source=website&utm_medium=search-as-you-type&utm_campaign=schrade%20titanium). Woodland camo paracord (http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/AW55053/Atwood-Rope-550-Paracord-Woodland-Camo-100-Feet) lanyard, crappy carabiner I got from some tech university that gave out free stuff to my high school during a presentation years ago. A multipurpose tool for jobs the Griptilian can't do, like prying things open, opening bottles, etc.
3. Keys with Black Diamond carabiner. (http://www.amazon.com/Black-Diamond-Neutrino-Carabiner-Size/dp/B0022IV9BC/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1401931576&sr=1-2&keywords=black+diamond+carabiner)
4. Wallet with chain—excavated from clearance bin at Hot Topic several years ago. The edges are beginning to fray.
5. Angel Fire Kiridashi Neck Knife, kydex sheath, paracord necklace. One of a kind, made at Angel Fire Knives (https://www.facebook.com/AngelFireKnives). This is my everyday defensive carry. Thankfully I've never had to use it, but its shape makes it well-suited for puncturing an assailant's flesh, should the need ever arise. I have other (larger) defensive carries that I'll wear at night, but this one is discreet enough to be carried out in public during the day.
6 (not shown because I used it to take the picture). iPhone 5s (http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/?cid=wwa-us-kwg-iphone-com&siclientid=5894&sessguid=143a9af7-0093-498c-a40a-85536cd4cf38&userguid=143a9af7-0093-498c-a40a-85536cd4cf38&permguid=143a9af7-0093-498c-a40a-85536cd4cf38) with Zagg Arsenal case, white. Along the lines of self defense...
the laws regarding knives and guns are pretty loose. I also happen to be getting trained in kenjutsu - the japanese way of the sword.
I'm talking about looking for a nice tanto or wakizashi or maybe a nice bokken to conceal in my jacket
crime has been stepping up around here recently, learning to defend myself is only appropriate and the laws amazingly don't stop me from carrying a sword (as long as it's concealed).
-
Whoa, Jolly—password cracker? I'd like to know more about that! :D

Wow, lucky! Oddly enough, the laws surrounding blades are rather restrictive here in Texas. Of course, owning and carrying a gun is about as easy as pie. Go figure. >w>
Anyway, I don't typically recommend Cold Steel to people, but from what I've seen, they have a couple of tantos that might work for you. But if something more along the lines of a combat knife would fit your bill, you can never go wrong with Ka-Bar or Ontario. There's also the SEAL series from SOG. :)
-
I've looked at their swords and from what I've been seeing is that they're too expensive for what you get and what you get isn't always what you need, eh we'll see :P
-
Well, whenever you do get a blade, I'd love to see it. ^_^
-
Keys, SOG Magnadot folding knife, IPhone 5, and sometimes my IPad...
-
1. Cellphone, currently an iPhone with a Chococat case
2. Sonic the Hedgehog wallet with chain
3. House key with Chococat key chain [I have a slight obsession]
4. Pounce, a Beanie Baby cat and my comfort object
5. Sometimes a game system
I'm at a grad ceremony right now so I'll take photos later :3
-
1. iPod (or any other device that plays music)
2. Wallet - Self Explanatory
3. Misc. Papers, tools, other junk I need.
I know. Exciting isn't it.
-
A new addition to my EDC! This is the Spyderco Tenacious—the first Spyderco knife I've ever owned! :D Its name is Loxosceles, after the genus of the infamous Brown Recluse.

I live in NY, so pretty much anything vaguely resembling a weapon, regardless of purpose, is illegal. Therefore, I generally walk around with my phone, iPod, money if I'm gonna need it, a pen, and a lighter.

I'm quite surprised that everyone carries knifes with them everyday, that's not common over here at all...

South Africa is pretty lawless
Here you fear both the Cops and Robbers
legally you can carry as much of anything as you want as long as it's concealed and if it's a gun, you just need a licence for it.

I Always found south africa a pretty special place.
How do towns in south africa look like? Are they just like cities or more "african"?
And the language is funny too. How well do you understand dutch? I have the idea that those languages are pretty identical, but also really different.
-
I'll send you a pm about it :P
Keep this on topic
-
Alright :) (before this thread derails into off topic eternity)

I actually just went and bought a telescopic baton

My iPod and my earphones :3 I'm also considering taking a pencil with me, but I rarely have time to stand still so I want a decent camera to take around ^^

Ah, sadness. ;w; Well, whenever it arrives, I'd love to have a look. :) I almost bought one myself from a military surplus store a year or two ago.
Since I've yet to post a photo of either of them here, I'll do so now: here's my new Spyderco Delica 4 alongside Maine's Buck Squire!

Jokes aside, I carry knives because I need them :P
