I've been interested in furries for a few years, but only within the past few months have I made any attempts to be a part of the furry community...
I really want to be more active though, but I, being the awkward sack of potatoes that I am, have found it quite difficult. I've joined some websites, like this one and F4L, but I still feel rather isolated, probably because I am not very social and have a hard time talking to people. But I really do want to get involved, I'm just intimidated by the size of it and by the fact that everyone seems to already travel in tight circles [or packs, if you will (ba dum tsh)].
Anyways, advice? :?

Best advice I can give is just to jump right on in with all four paws. Make yourself visible and people will start to include you in things, once you are they'll pull you deeper into the fandom especially if they've been knocking around it for awhile.
It can be very intimidating to start with, but once you get to know a few furs, they'll introduce you to more furs and it will snowball from there. Give it a little time and you'll be right in the middle of it before you even know it

Thank you for the advice, I will try my best

On the other hand, don't see the fandom as something you can go out and do.
First step I think would be to join a local forum or group and then move along with what Tyga said.

Just interact on the forums as a start! If you know any furs outside of the internet, have some meet ups.
