Hello, everyone, and good morning/afternoon.
You see, I'm gonna make myself a partial Cat fursuit. I've already figured out the paws, and I'm almost sure I've also figured out how to make the ears (using chenille stem on a headband), but I can't find any good tutorial on how to make a tail. I'm looking forward on making something looking somewhat like this (http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/141/a/3/fluffy_cat_tail_by_farisbatwan-d662z2s.png) (just in white, though). Also, if anyone knows about a good tutorial on cat ears, in case my current idea doesn't work out (but not those that are just plain triangles with some pink attached to it (http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/1002470636/Min-order-is-15-mix-order-Party-Show-Supplies-Lovely-Kitty-Cat-Ear-Headband-Head-Hoop.jpg), but something with more depth (http://img1.etsystatic.com/011/0/8181216/il_570xN.466392677_75kh.jpg) on them).
Thank you for your time. :)

Fursuit Tail Tutorial- Vlog #5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4msOPr4eF5Y#ws)
This guide is pretty good IMO, all you need to do is make the pattern slightly different so that it gets the shape you'd like it to have.
As for the ears, I can't really find a good one for cat ears, but Beetlecat has a really good guide on how to make fox ears (it seems like it's a little tricky to do it her way, but then again she's a professional fursuit builder.. I'm sure there are easier ways to do this on, but I'm not much of a crafter myself so I can't really suggest anything...)
With a little bit of pattern-experimenting I'm sure it's possible to use the same idea for cat ears.

Hope it was at least somewhat helpful and good luck with the suit ^-^

You wouldn't be able to have that complex of a design, but you could make a yarn tail. It can definitely do the design that was shown in the video tutorial.
The process is very simple and repetitive, taking about 10 hours total to complete.
My first two tails are shown below.

If your interested, I have more photos in my tail thread, and will probably be uploading a tutorial as well.
