Haden bursts through the door of the church. It was an old church in NYC that smelled of ashes and petrified wood. He looks around and decides to check the church. Room by room, he checked the church until there was only one place left., the confession booth. He slowly approaches the booth, 1911 raised, and puts his hand on the handle. His heart Is pounding as he counts to three in his head.
"Okay... One, two... THREE!"
He swings the door open and sees nothing is there. Relieved, he wipes his forehead and sits on a pew drinking water. Moments later, he hears footsteps approaching the church door. As to not draw attention, he makes a swift run to the confession booth to hide. The door opens and the figure(s) enter(s).

A smaller framed figure would walk into the church first, he is apparently well groomed instead of being a dirty mess. His fur not having a signal stain of blood on it. He would appear to sit down and drink from a bottle of water. He then looks over at the confession booth saying a a slightly more adult voice "I see you in there." He raises  smaller but very sharp knife up encase he needs it waiting for a reply.

Haden comes out of the booth, holster in his weapon.
"Thank god you aren't one of the dead. Anyway, I'm Haden. I m heading to Tampa bay Florida. I heard that's where the military is evacuating everyone. Takin' them to the Caribbean. Man... Just to think only 4 hours ago, the United States was normal."
Haden takes a seat next to the stranger.
"So, what's your name?"

The wolf looks up at him putting away the knife. "Do you honestly believe that? You must have seen the movies. Someone always infected gets in and spreads the disease unknowingly." He looks around for a moment clearly on edge. " You can call me luke, But i say we get a boat and sail there ourselves. less people to worry about and less chance of one of us getting bit."
Title: Re: The river of life runs dry.

Haden looks over to Luke with a sneer.
"I don't, but it's one of the few viable options. Everyone and their grandma thought about the  boats. We don't need to go to the evac point specifically, but if the military chose Tampa, then it's one of the safer places. Plus there's fishing opportunity and plenty of rural space. Sure everyone will head to Tampa, but that's by taking the main roads. Now, say someone has the same ideas as us, I've been monitoring the radio to catch anything that I deem dangerous. In which case, we head to the Cape hattereas in North Carolina. You see, I've always got a plan."
Haden then stands up and points at the altar.
"We should use the wood as boarding supplies. We should stay here for the night, just in case any more survivors come in."

Axles foot pads are slaping against the ground as he makes his way to the church,  not to loud to attract attention from the dead. He walks into the church "a church, awsome this should be a good water source." He says to himself. Then he notices the other two survivors. "Oh? Other survivors? Here I thought I was the only one."

Luke's left ear would jump up detecting the other survivor as he turns his head towards him. "Well, you are?"

Haden looks over to the newest survivor while drinking his water.
"Yeah, care to introduce yourself? I'm Haden."

"The name is Axle, pleasure to meet you,  though I wish it were under better circumstances..." he says "I scavenged some food if you guy's are hungy?" He says as he puts a few apples and 4 cans of chili from a small back pack.
Title: Re: The river of life runs dry.

Haden gets up and reaches for a can of chili.
"Thank you Axle. I've got ammo and med supplies. This is Luke. We're headed to Tampa and have a plan to regroup with the military, or live in the rural parts of Florida. Hopefully we make it."

"Florida? Hmm... not my first choice but, hey, there's strength in numbers though." He says when he sits down in the third from the back row. He de-stresses himself, exhailing.

"Well, i still say we should find a small island. Somewhere we can live without this mess." Luke sighed and ate a small amount of food. "Well, should we keep waiting maybe board up this palce for a few nights."
Title: Re: The river of life runs dry.
Post by: NautilusWolf on March 14, 2014, 08:20:09 PM
Haden finishes his can of chili and stands up.
"Yeah, we should, but there's just one problem. Let's say someone does come, our food supplies are already rationed as it is. We should do a supply run. There's a local small-business grocery store. It's probably been ransacked a lot less than wal-mart or other supermarkets. It's just a suggestion."
Haden goes back to his ruck-sack and starts loading spare magazines as he sits on the floor next to it.

"Then it's decided. We will all go and get some food on a scavenging run, then get a car, preferably a larger truck."
Haden loads the magazine into his Mk14 EBR, and gets to the door.
"Alright, if you've got anything to say about the plan, now's the time."

"No complaints, here." He says as he checks the clip of 9mm. "I saw a pawn shop not to far from here, and a gas station next to it I'll scavenge some things and see if we need to make multiple trips." He starts walking twords the door and puts his clamore down on the bench at the end.

Lou turned the corner and stopped in front of the church. He raised an eyebrow as he stared at the doors, wondering if he should even bother going inside.
"Might as well give it a shot." He said as he slowly pushed open the door and eased inside, one hand on the knife in its sheath. "Hellooo?" His voice pulsing through the open space.

As luke walks up to an abandon car he looks inside touching the window, his cold steel like yes shifting to softer eyes for a moment, he then pressed his crossbow to the glass and pulled the trigger, the sound echoed but that was nothing new. He felt his steel like glaze wash over him again proceeding down the highway of cars and death. " So tell me about yourself, where you from Alex." He said in an almost monotone voice, yet he seemed to be interested enough to care.

Back at the church, a figure steps through the doors. Haden gets up and introduces himself.
"Hey, I'm Haden. We have a small group en route to get supplies. Your name is?"
Haden reaches for a handshake.

"Me? I used to be a boxer before this went down, I was actually partying pretty hard so i was really hungover... I woke up around 12 hours ago" He looks at his watch. "11" he corrected himself. He continues looking in to cars. "How 'bout you Luke?"

Mason steps up to the door of the church, he walks over to beside the door and knocks on it twice, leaning in the corner behind the door, out of the view of anyone who opens it. He holds his spear at his waist, ready to attack anyone who may be hostile.

Haden reaches into his pack and holds the two cans of chili up.
"I'm Haden. You guys look pretty hungry."

Luke looked around, then hopped off the side of the highways bridge onto a semi truck, he stepped down a rope detaching from his ankle already attached to the highways gaurds. He motioned for axel to follow him. "I was hunting in the woods, so survival is second nature."

Lou walked forward, hand extended. He firmly shook the hand that belonged to this new acquaintance.
"The name's Lou. To be honest, I'm surprised to find anyone still here." He looked at the can held out in front of him. "Thanks, but I'm fine, so until I've done my share, I don't want to take any of your rations. Wouldn't be right." Looking over his shoulder toward the door he asked,
"And who are you?"

"Damn, dude! You're efficient." he says already looking around. "I believe we should take some back, but when we leave we should lock it up, don't want any... walkers, zeds, undead. what ever we should call these things, walking in." he says while judging the temperature of the coolers. 'Hmm... still cold but not on' he thinks to himself.

Luke seems to be packing more seed packs of tomatos, carrots, and potatoes, and a variety of peppers. He then picks up a few bags of rice putting them in with a few other canned goods. "We may need places to settle down later on. So grabe things we can grow and get more uses from." Luke said to axel.

Luke looked around for a moment deciding on something, he then walked over to cans and stuffed them into a large bag. "I was thinking, we many need currency later on if we do find a town. Pop tabs may work." He said finishing up carrying a backpack of food with a bag of cans hung over her shoulder.

"Well it not that big of a church. There's a few room to the west, the bell tower to the east, the basement, and crawl spaces which we should scout for escape plans, not to mention if there are any graves here the dead will be to weak to dig to us. All we need to do is eliminate every zombie on the premises the board up the window, after that we find a car that can work that isn't too loud and get the hell out of here." He leans on a wall explaining his plan to the group. "Is this an adequate retelling  of our plans?" He asks Austin and Haden.

Axle looks around the office. He notices a gold cross necklace, he then picks the necklace up and puts it on. 'Brrr...' He thought as the cross touches his fur. He opens a drawer and finds a box of bullets. "What would a priest need bullets for?" he thinks out loud. He looks under the table, "No monsters under here." he chuckles. He then sees a cross thats a foot and a half wide and two feet tall, 'that will be useful' he picks it up and swings it back and forth, "Good cross..." he pets it abit.

Luke watched axel for a moment then kept walking. He walked out to the pastor outside and unslung his crossbow on his back, fireing it hitting a rouge boar dragging the animal back inside. They needed food, but they also need other provisions like spoons and ways of carrying lots of supplies. "Were gonna need a SUV." He said allowed foor the rest to hear. He was fairly sure there was no dead in here yet it was too early for the dissease to spread this far out in the middle of know where.
