Greetings, I am Angela Oliver, otherwise known as "LemurKat".
I am a lapsed furry. Sometime ago - maybe 1999-2005 I was a dedicated visitor to VCL, furbid and other Furry sites, and therefore my name may be familiar to some of you. Or not. Not sure how many of my old packmates are still around... Anyhow, I took a break for almost ten years, dedicating my time to drawing almost every day and improving my artistic skills manifold and then a couple of years ago suddenly realised that I was writing a Furry novel. It is finished now, entitled "Fellowship of the Ringtails" and available on Amazon and Kobo. I am currently working on book two.
Anyhow, I thought it might be fun to come back, see if any of my old friends are stalking around and maybe make some new ones.
I suppose I should introduce my Fursona as well. She is not currently pictured in my avatar icon, that's a bamboo lemur playing a traditional Malagasy instrument, but my main Furry identity is Kataryna Delilah Lemusu. She is a ringtailed lemur with silver fur and wings. She has not always been that way. She began as a regular grey and chestnut, unwinged ringtail lemur who, in the early part of the century, committed suicide. Why precisely is unknown, but I expect she suffered from depression. She was then sent back, cursed or blessed I suppose, depending on your perceptive, to help others until she had redeemed herself. I have tried to write her story - twice - but never quite suceeded. I may, however, upload the first part of the rewrite in the appropriate forum.
I have numerous other furry characters - specifically Aurelia, the silky simpona and heroine of my Lemur saga (which is unrelated to Kataryna's story above).

Welcome back to the fandom! I may look into your book, I love ringtails.

I should point out its ringtail lemurs, not the adorable ringtail cat. It's a fantasy adventure set in an alternate world Madagascar and the main character isn't a ringtail lemur, but a silky sifaka/simpona. It is loosely based (very, very loosely) around Queen Ranavalona, the butcher queen of Madagascar.
