Title: Purple Tiger w/ Black stripes, how should I do the stripes?
Post by: tigerraye on December 19, 2013, 12:30:51 AM
Okay I am currently working on my fursuit.....finally!  XD I was wondering how I should do black stripes on my purple tiger, should I sew them on top of the fabric? I am going to sew them regardless just wondering if I should leave empty spaces in the purple fur (like holes) to put stripes in or just sew them on top. And advice would be greatly appreciated! Thankies! :)

I would cut out the areas you want to be a stripe and then sew in the black material for each patterned piece before you sew the rest of the suit together.

I wouldn't either sew them on top, because that could make the fabric on those parts look thicker, and I think you want to create a similar 'flat' style overall with the fur.
:)
Hope this helps.
