Title: What type of music do you listen to?

I'm probably the only person my age that listens to doo-wop...
 
I like protest music to. Bob Dylan, Beatles etc...
 
psychedelic music as well... Doors, Pink Floyd etc...
 
Viking metal/pirate metal
 
Some techno Mostly Renard and Deadmau5 to be honest...
 
I guess that's about it.

I'm very much an all-arounder really. I love a good variety anywhere between lovely classical and extreme metal core.
I'm not too fond of a lot of electronic music such as dubstep though..

My favorite genre would be alt. rock, I love songs with that are personal, emotional or inspirational and carry a message. Thus my favorite band is Thirty Seconds to Mars.

I pretty much like any music that is well executed and has some thought behind it. Which is why I usually can't stand for popular music, as most of it is made for making cash, not expressing an idea. And it's a very limited portion of the music world.

As to preference I'm kind of a split between upbeat, energetic tunes (electro-swing, Architecture in Helsinki, Hungry Kids of Hungary)

and darker more intense stuff. (Daughter, Cameras, Winter People, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radio Head)
I dunno, it kind of depends on my mood I guess.

I like anything beside "Red Neck" country and "Gibberish" rap.

Right now my main playlist consists of;

blink-182, Godsmack, Gorillaz, Greenday, Korn, to people local to my area, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Skrillex and Soundgarden.


Other artists I have range from AC/DC to Smashing Pumpkins
