Here is the VPN that I bought called privatvpn. I love it because it is fast, and closes and opens my bittorrent when the VPN turns on and off. it also port forwards for me comes in handy when your ISP blocked your ports.

The first thing I did was search what a VPN is, then I realized I have no idea what anything is by its technical name.
Anyway, I'm happy for you. Now you can do more fun computer stuff! :)

A VPN changes your IP and like your IP is your location so it really changes your location keeping you anonymous great tool for someone
-
Oh, this is handy indeed.
Are there no free-to-use VPN's though?
-
There are free to use VPN's,
Another really good reason to change your location is, for example, lets say you lived in, say a random country like AUSTRALIA, and you wanted NetFlix that isn't in australia. If you use a VPN, you get netflix XD

there is some free VPNs that are out there but they will log you and if you download stuff from tpb or something like that you will get in trouble trust me I know things

VPN's are also a great way to get around that issue of "You're not in the right country to watch this video" on youtube, sense the music and video corporations of the world decide that you can or cannot watch videos online for some reason in certain countries...
In my experience, the best VPNs are the ones that aren't free. The last one I used was VyprVPN.

For bypassing country restrictions like so, proxies are also free and work a treat if used correctly ^_^
They can be less reliable however and require some more setting up.
-
I love my VPN because it does not have any logging

Yes, that was my first thought, because I sure would like to watch episodes from the BBC without getting the message I'm not in the UK XD
@mindcrasherTheFox:
I figured as much, oh well :/
How much does VPNs cost approx. in general?
How much did your VPN cost you?

Here's a pretty good list covering some VPN's to check if you are interesting in paying for one:

I like this list http://torrentfreak.com/which-vpn-providers-really-take-anonymity-seriously-111007/ (http://torrentfreak.com/which-vpn-providers-really-take-anonymity-seriously-111007/) way better because those top VPNs log you and logging is bad for a VPN
