I think of writing a book. The ending of the last Eragon book, Inheritance was not satisfying for me. So I play a bit with the idea of making my own follower book about what happened after the ending. So I want some advices about that, do I need permission from Christopher Paolini to do this? Do anyone have general advices for writing?
-
You do not need permission so long as you do not present the characters as your own (at the beginning of the work, state that the characters and world belong to the author who wrote them and specify who that is), and so long as you don't try to make money off of it. This is called a fanfic and it's a pretty common thing to do.

I recommend you work on your grammar, or get an editor. I hope you don't see me as mean, but sentences like "Do anyone have any general advices for writing?" will get you laughed at, especially in the literary community.
-
I don`t see that mean at all Cho´Gath. When you say it in such a nice way, it`s just a good tip. And I know I need better grammar, the sentences in Norwegian is different than in English.
-
Ah, I didn't realize you were Norwegian. You have my apologies. You could possibly write the story in Norwegian, and then use an online translator to put it into English.
-
Online transalators are generally rubbish. I would either need one that makes the sentences right, not just word for word. Or a real transalator, they are not cheap, and I just want something to do in my little spare time. The easy way is to just write it in Norwegian, but I want to share it here, I don`t know why ^_^ Mabye it`s because this is such a wonderfull community. :D

Good luck! I understand where you're coming from in relation to the ending of Inheritance. It was supremely dissatisfying, even though I understand why he made it so. So enraging! XD
But yes, Friday has offered some sound advice. As long as you acknowledge the authors characters are his own, and you don't try to claim any profit from work, you should be fine.
I wouldn't mind reading it once your finished! :)
