I think in the day and age of the internet, we've all stumbled across an artist that's flipping amazing, but just doesn't have a very large fan base. Or perhaps there is a local band that you can't get enough of.
I'm interested to see what's out there, post your favourites below!
I'll start off with Winter People. Just listen. Amazing.

Muck Sticky. He makes weed songs but they're really upbeat and happy.

I know he's likely well-known in the furry community, but I really think Wolfgun deserves more attention. His music is unique, while still being quite accessible, in my opinion. I can honestly see songs like "The Woods" gaining insane amounts of popularity, if only they were exposed to larger audiences.

Hogni should be here. Everybody needs more Hogni.

I'd say Blue Stahli would deserve a bit more publicity. Bret Autrey (Blue Stahli) and Klayton (Celldweller) actually know each other rather well and have done several collaborations together. While I am not a fan of Celldweller due to the more dubstep style he acquaints with most of his work, I love Blue Stahli for the blaring guitars and personally bearable (and good) electronic elements, as well as the fast paced beats his songs follow.

I love the band Woodkid. I like all their songs, but this is the most popular one:
Woodkid - Iron (Official Video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSkb0kDacjs#ws)
Also this is another personal favorite band calld Radical Face:

Dragonforce. They're a much better band than people give them credit for sadly.

I have to agree. The only reason their early live performances sucked so much is because their roadies were often drunk on the job and messed up their equipment.

Final Boss. (http://www.youtube.com/user/FinalBossBand/videos)
Cuboyd (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4233C54927C44E37) (my favorite superhero ever) sent me to their channel; they sound really professional, yet they don't get much attention from YT, press, or anything, really. I think the best on there is Don't Tell the Bride.
To think that Justin Bieber is a name known to practically everyone... :/

Exactly. They need better roadies for their instruments now. Their old singer couldn't hit 90 percent of the notes he sang when recording in studio while singing live...which is why I'm guessing they replaced him. I've heard the new singer live and in studio and he sounds much more consistent...now they just need roadies who can tune a guitar properly x.x;.

I think this gentleman deserves some serious attention. He makes some pretty epic cybermetal, and all of his albums are name-your-price!

DEFINITELY John Grant. He's just really rad (and also gay). His music is really amazing.

Turbogeist for pretty much capturing old school rock perfectly
Turbogeist - "Mermaid's Revenge" (Official Video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z2Nck6Fcjg#ws)
Ray Koefoed (although popular in the gaming market, not so much in the mainstream music market), he's music is both good (except probably a better singer would be good) but also very thought provoking

I think that Lorde needs to be more famous ... There are a lot of people who still haven't heard Royals

I would have to say Carl Orff. A great composer in my eyes
