Post by: juliet on September 01, 2013, 09:03:43 PM
Hello, I'm Juliet.. nice to meet every one. Im working on a new avater so until then. There is an edited picture of me from about two years ago. I feel a bit unmotivated to post a more rectent one seeing as im not any different besdies a bit of a weight loss and a new hair style. I'm a highschooler, i like to read draw and write. I'm in showchior, but i'm not out going. So please restrain from over friendlyness. Its a tad intimidating. That is not to say that you should be entirely cold either.. *covers my muzzle with my fists.* just let me warm up to you some before being all besties at the get go.. I also take art requests..

Welcome to the forum ^^

I hope I don't seem to intruding then and I'll try and keep my distance until you've warmed up a bit :)
Most people are very  kind here, so I'll hope you'll feel quickly at home here.

Mind if I ask what kind of things you like to write about?

Anything that seems to strike my intrest. Prompts are fun and I write short little nothings sometimes. I've never really posted my writtings anywere i feel as though they are amaturish so  i tend to save then go back and edit later. And I roleplay a lot so I havave a lot of roleplay paragraph entrances, i want to start making them longer though. As for people on the forum, I do truely hope they are kind. And I hope I have not made a bad impression already.  You have not come on strong so do not feel as though you have, simple greetings and questions dont bother me terribly. Its only the very exciting people  who hug upon impact.

Ah yes, the intense huggers. Well, I am the same here. I don't like it much if people just randomly hug me. I tend to not randomly deal out hugs too, seeing as I know some people might not like that either. I've actually gotten a few weird looks in real life because of that. I come across people that seemingly cannot comprehend that there are people who are different than them and do not like hugs at all. Or at least, not to someone they do not know.

And I do not think you've made a bad impression at all ^^
Also, I don't know if you saw, but TFF also has a RP-thread, for if you want to roleplay. There are a few new open in the Training Grounds if you do not feel secure enough yet to do Fun or Serious Roleplays :)

Welcome to the forums, Juliet. As a longtime member and a moderator, I have to say that this community is extremely accommodating and friendly. Believe me, you'll find a place if you decide to hang around, there are plenty of people who tend to be reserved just like you say you are.

Don't worry, you have made a perfectly fine impression. In fact, your informing us of how you feel about how people act towards you is helpful. Take your time as you need it, maybe sit back and watch as well. If ever you need any help, there is always an open line of communication with any staff member, myself included.

I do hope you enjoy your stay and warm up to the forums.

In any event, I'm glad to see another writer join the forums. I do my fair share of it, as well. I've really retreated to writing little philosophical posts and dabble in some fan fiction planning, but what I really do is a lot of roleplay to keep up on my skills. Private ones with a few good friends, mostly, but roleplay regardless.

Welcome to the forum.

I hope you do like it here, as was already said, pretty much everyone on the forum is friendly.

I am also a writer, although I haven't written anything in quite a while and should probably get back into roleplaying.

Like Sytex already mentioned, if you have any problems or need any help, feel free to PM any of the staff members.

Welcome to the forums.

I haven't posted on here a lot lately myself, but that's not to say I won't be friendly. Of course I'm here if you need or want a friend. Good luck with high school, by the way; went though it myself and I can honestly say it was an interesting but stressful experience.

But yeah, welcome :3.

Thank you for the welcome everyone, I will try to be a tive but as of now many things are going on. And I regret to say they are time consuming. I will post an art request thread at some point. When I have my computer back. Aunt took it to fill out school application, hard to say when I'll get it back. Oh and on a further note, as I haven't really looked around too much, is there a place where we can place writing creations? If not then perhaps there is another place I may post them? I have some old things I wrote saved. Discontinued and I've been thinking about starting on it again so, if there is, it would be helpful.

Thank you, also, I noticed your signiture. Pendulum happens to be my favorite band, pity they only made three albums.

Oh, that's awesome. c: It's a pity indeed, the few albums they released, but basically all of their songs are really good. I think that Immersion was an amazing closing act for Pendulum, it really was a fantastic album with my absolute favorite songs. I still see In Silico and Hold Your Color as extremely strong albums, but Immersion was divine, in my opinion.

I agree with you, Immersion was one of their best, but I have a strong love for the raw diversity of their music and interchanging style. Even now I listen to knife party, a DJ pair that broke off from pendulum. When I began listening I recognized something and I liked it, I now realize that it was thier style. Afyer doing research on it I found out they were members of pendulum at some point.

Ah, I agree with you so much. The diversity they display is astounding, and while some of it may not be my liking, it's good for what it is. Out of the three albums they made, I can only say I disliked about eight songs or so. Excited to hear that Pendulum may release a new album next year!

I haven't actually listened to much Knife Party. I did try listening to some, but I didn't really like any of it; I like smoother electronic music, to be honest. To give you an idea of where I don't go in Electronic music, Set me on Fire and The Island Part II were some of my absolute least favorite entries in Pendulum's history. But I'm really surprised to know that Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen formed KP.

Those are my least favorite songs aswell, only because I know they can do so much better. Strangely enough, my favorite is The tempest and the island part I. KP is good for when I'm in an angry mood, though I have to agree, smooth electronic is better for everyday use and such. I'm glad that someone has my music taste. You should check out what I wrote in the writing and litature section, I need some veiws and opinions.
