Title: Has anyone noticed...??
Post by: Grant87 on July 25, 2007, 11:22:40 AM: I'm kinda aiming this at the guys, but has anyone noticed that alot of guys on IMVU don't wanna talk with other guys?

Also makes me think if their like that in real life, say if a guy trys talking to them they would just run off or something?

I myself am open to talking to anyone no matter what their age (with in reason), sex, creed or race.

I only get maybe one or two guys that are actually interested in talking, I don't bother requesting chats anymore because I get more responses when I leave them to come to me. Personally I don't mind who/what I'm talking to as long as they're nice about it.

The real question is if somebody would rather run away than speak to another guy, would you really want to speak to them anyway?

Maybe they are doing us a big favour by avoiding us.

Post by: Vosur Aekira on July 25, 2007, 11:42:57 AM: I am probably on the other end of this.... but my reason is that if I don't know you from elsewhere or you haven't decided to let me know that you have something worthwhile to say through the chat client by other means, I'm most likely to turn you down. It's nothing personal but I have recieved way too many invites and buddy requests from people I don't even remember seeing elsewhere... which most of the time they beg for stuff.

If you were to send me an IM request while I'm still online, and your username was something I could easily note as being 'you', or you let me know by other means who you were, then I'd probably accept it.

So it's either just me or females don't like talking to each other either. :P I do know guys are less likely to talk to each other though. I'm not altogether sure why. Though, a lot of guys (not all, of course, and girls too) are on IMVU just to meet the opposite gender anyway, so that could be why they don't bother meeting other guys. *shrugs* People are strange sometimes.

Yes. It's a chat program so you'll have the vast amounts of people who mainly use it to "meet" the opposite gender.
If a person you don't know invites you that's using the same gender avatar and leaves because of it
you should have known before hand.
People mostly do that for anonymous "meeting". I have a Chatango messenger on my page.
The vast majority of PMs that I get on it are from people who just found me(my profile has a sexy panda in her undies) in the search feature
and want to "meet" with me.

I leave my IMVU on buddies or DND most of the time.

I found it rare if any males said "hi" to me. Even rarer if they stayed after they found out what I looked like AFTER my Avi had loaded!! >:| Then again, people didn't want to speak when they saw my human Avi either. Guess alot of people feel more comfortable around 'cool' conformity, rather than originality :'(

Because every male that chatted with me either A) Wished to speak with me about stuff I was not interested in, or B) Was dumber than a box of hair. Only one in ten females fit that description back then.

Fortunately, that is no longer the case.

and girls, i leave when they randomly kiss me, again are dumber than a box of nails, beg for creds, or talk with uninteresting things, but why i have mroe girls on my buddies list is because theyre nicer (keyword:NICER)
over 50% of the guys I meet are jerks and make fun of me because my avi looks way better than theirs....
