Hey hey, im back, but im not fauxzov anymore, i have changed, a lot, and im just wishing to get back with the furries. My sona is way different. Im not guna go into detail unless y'all want me to, all you need to do is ask,
But im back now! and ready for some forums!!
-
Why? Why a ponie? How is that cool in any way? You have no hands, no feet, no toes, plus your short. Why not lynx, crocodile, regular Pegasus?
(And sure go and give me details.)
-
Because ponies are awesome dude, why does anyone do any species, you dont need fingers and toes to be awesome ^_^ and whats wrong with being short? you got a problem with short things :'(
-
No. It's just that (are you a guy?) ponies don't seem...well...exciting. I understand the fandom is of cartoons for us but. Ponies are for girls. (Little girls at that.) My sister likes ponies but she is a girl in junor high, she will grow out of it.
-
Liking ponies is nothing to be ashamed of, I myself like My Little Pony and the show is seriously amazing.
It was made for a wide audience, and not just for girls.
It has an awesome storyline, and the voiceacting and music is amazing.
-
Dude...it's ponies...do you think big bikers would watch my little pony? Or even wrestlers? Im just saying that if a guy watches and likes my little pony (more then Anyone should.) it deminishes on his coolness level. You go from a cool dude that has a job and awesome stuff, to a weird grown man that watches cartoons for girls.
(If a girl likes it it is fine but they still should not "obsess" over it.)
It's not a matter of "I can watch what I want and people just have to like me for who I am."
It's a matter of, it is socially unactable and far more taboo then liking cartoons in general.
You still haven't told me why you decided to change.
-
Not to sound like a mod, but as one Brony defending another, Nixon it ain't really your call to judge Cobalt for his choice, and as the old saying goes, "To each his own." Nixon you are in fact blowing this way out of proportion and frankly you seem to be the only one who has a problem or cares, we as furs should understand the hate being dealt for liking certain things hell to this day we still are, and tearing at each like this only makes us "ALL" look bad.
Cobalt you wanna be a pony, though technically a colt in terms of MLP fandom, more power to yah. Hell I'm a Monkey, I know that pain. X3 Also glad to have yah back and look forward to some rp-ing with yah.
Nixon, nothing against yah at all. :3 but sometimes words are better left un-said, lotta folks here have amazing strength to not say anything about certain subjects, so from one friend to another, just chill man. XD No harm no foul!
-
I'm not angry, or trying to change your mind but just heed my words. I liked something wired one time, and I was laughed at(hard) I decided it was weird and not really even human so I stopped. (Sometimes I think things are cool but they end up being something that doesn't help you or benefit you In anyway.)
(P.s.) like this fandom, I might not be a "furry" for much longer. But instead just be me. David Corman, son of David senior and a really nice kid. I have no titles. I am David. You know what? This is it. Nixon is NOT me but a meer character on tff, nothing more. See you guys around! :) I ain't leaving. I would never leave friends. ;)
-
Ide like to but in here and say a couple words, Nixon, wrestiling and biking and stuff do make make someone a man, honesty integrity and being there for people do, and i dont see how ponies make me any less of a man, yea i like fashion, im bi, and i like ponies, so what.
And also, Chronic, Lakota, i love you guys, your the best, and thank you so much for your words, you guys are the true friends. ha, (no pun intended)

ALSO!!! ps, to nixon, ponies actually make you 20% cooler, sorry to bum you out but they do XD (pun very much intended)

Alrighty y'all, Lua is adding her two cents worth here.
First off, being brony isn't something that makes you less "manly" in all honesty a guys manliness isn't measured by his "likes" and "dislikes" in my opinion. As a woman, I honestly judge a guy's "manliness" on his integrity, honesty, and whether or not he will be there for the people he cares about.
Also, my brother is a wrestler, and plays football, but he watches MLP. Does that make him "un-manly"?
Not trying to seem mean here, just saying y'all, a fandom does change you as a person, nor should it effect things like "manliness".
Also, i agree with Chronic, we're all furry here to some extent. So let's chill out, and just be happy. Brony's and furs, and humans, or whatever you are, we gotta come together. I mean furry doesn't have a good reputation to start with, shouldn't we channel our energy into fixing that before we start arguing amongst ourselves?
-
yes I agree with lua I used to play football im in JROTC I play airsoft and I watch mlp if nothing else I think being comfortable enough to admit that you like something that is not considered normal makes someone more of a man because they don't need to define themselves by the social definition of normal
P.S. cobalt excellent work on the pun
-
Just heed my words bro. Nixon out.
-
Honesty, Generasity, Loyalty, Laughter, Kindness, Courage and Bravery. To stand up for one another when we are being attacked
to help someone when they are feeling down
and the times when a random act of kindness goes a long way.
We are family!
-
Thank you for your... err... advice? nixon, but im just going to keep doing what i love, and if you dont like it or dont think its 'manly' then you can just shove off. And i wont say how i actually feel because this is a pg forums ^.^
and lakota, couldent have said it better myself /)
-
I'm not trying to change you mind >:( I'm just saying be Careful because people can hurt you mentally and or physically. If a friend ever got hurt and I did nothing to help, I would feel bad.
Never said I didn't like it. Just said it is a tad bit strange. :S Do what want man, but remember what I said.

This all reminds me of a conversation I had with some furry weeks ago.
He'd started freaking out on my because my fursona was too "plain and basic" and that it screamed that I had "no sense of style, creativity or imagination." Went on to say some other things that I won't repeat here. Suffice it to say, the ideal that a fursona *has* to be generalized into meaning a person is like or is of being the stereotype, is so... opposite of what furries preach they're against. Most furries despise stereotypes and freak on most people who use them, yet most furries use the most amount of stereotypes x.x

To put my own two cents in, what does it matter how anyone else feels about they're choice of fursona so long as they're happy about it and feel it's right? It isn't entirely "socially acceptable" to be a furry or associate with them period but you still are nixon, so keep that in mind.
(Been meaning to post on here for awhile but haven't gotten to a computer till now to do it >>)
-
Furries like to say they will repect and love everyone, bronies do to, but not all do, and its sad, this is a place to be yourself and get away from people who say you need to act a certain way, not be judged in another light,
why cant we all just be friends, because, as we all know, friendship IS magic,
-
ok, Lua back, more to say i guess.
First off,, as Cobalt's girlfriend I like to think I know him pretty well, and doubt a couple haters could hurt him, mentally or physically. Also, I would hope that IF they did, that I and his friends would be there to help him through it.
Secondly, aren't the forums, and other sites like this supposed to help us? I thought they were hear to unite people of like interests and support community and friendship. At least, I thought, maybe I'm wrong, but that's why I'M here. But it's also my opinion that ponies are just a very specific sub group of furry, so shouldn't we pull together and help each other out?
I don't care if you are a brony, a furry, or a "normal" human, I don't care if you have a simple fursona, or an insanely original one, we are all the same here, we are members of a single community, and we should show that, by sticking together. To be honest, we have bigger problems than a fandom, or people in that fandom, so let's stop and think, show each other some love. If you don't like something, don't post. No one here is looking for a debate, Cobalt was simply offering to share his reason's for changing his fursona, and also, letting the community know what happened.
Sorry if any one feels insulted, targeted, offended or is in any way upset. Just expressing my views here. I hope we can all get along some day. but, first we need to get past stereotypes, and racism, and just general hate. Remember y'all there isn't anyone better than you, and you aren't better than anyone else, we are all human and we are all flawed, but that doesn't mean we can't learn to love each other.
Lua out/

Do you think I'm being mean? I'm serious here. Do you? I'm not trying to shoot him down.
-
calling me un manly, insulting the things i like, and generaly diminishing me seems mean to me, and thats what it felt like, like you where insulting and diminishing me.
-
I agree that's what it seemed like to me I know you probably didn't mean it that way but that's what it sounded like
-
also, you said you are trying to warn me about hate i might get from people, but you dont understand that i dont need warning, i constantly get hate, from random people, friends, even my own parents, i just never thought i would get hate here, on a furry site.
-
If think this is hate then peace, bye, I'm out. Sorry 0:) forget I said anything.
-
Everyone chill out. Srsly. I'm reading these posts and it SUCKS as an introduction thread.
