Title: One pan/pot meals
Post by: Maine on August 03, 2013, 10:33:22 AM
Just wondering if anyone has anyone one pot meals they like to cook? You know, chuck everything in, cook it and serve!
Being a slightly lazy in the kitchen, I'm always looking for something new. Along with just being a sticky-beak XD

Here's my favourite:

2 eggs,
hand full of cheese,
a cheek of green and red pepper diced,
small tin of tuna (tomato and basil flavoured),
parsley

You can use whatever meat you wish, but me being pescetarian, that's just what I use X3
just make sure it's cooked first obviously XD

Chuck all that in a greased pan, mix it up and wait for it to brown on one side.
Cut it into flippable pieces and do just that, flip it and cook the other side until done.

It probably won't stay in tact, but it makes a good sized meal :)

Fry up any spiced mince (preferably pork) and serve on buttered toast with sliced cheese
It's a winner  ;)

Lancashire Hotpot. Serves up to 4

Brown approx 2 kilos neck of lamb in a pan til golden brown, layer in a large casserole between thin cut layer of potatoes, season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper; add some sliced carrots, maybe. Crefully pour 2 pints/1 litre beef stock or lamb stock over, and top with layers of thinly cut potatoes. Put into a medium-hot oven and slow cook until the potatoes ate nicely browned on top.

This is seriously good comfort food for a rainy day.
