Title: Can somebody please pick out some parts for me?
Post by: Georgisaur on July 30, 2013, 11:33:05 AM
I'm considering building my own desktop, but I'm pretty new to all of this. I was considering a price range between £300-400. ($460-$612)
Thanks in advance!  :D

What do you intend with your PC? Gaming, or building an 'All-in-one', or a mini PC?

Do you want Intel or AMD?

Seeing you are new to building your own, I suggest you reconsider til you are more confident. Or, you might get into a complete and utter mess without prior knowledge.  Alternatively, checking out this site:

..might give you an eyeball on what exactly you're intending. Those people custom build to your exact reqs and are extremely good value.

I wouldn't start of straight on building your own without any experience. Rather take your money to any computer shop and tall them what you're looking for.
I seriously recommend going for an Intel/Nvidia build (Get at least an Intel i5 CPU/Nvidia 600 series GPU).

But from there it will be up to you to upgrade and maintain your desktop. That's how you'll learn and eventually maybe even build your own desktop from scratch.
Good luck dude.
