So as an artist, i asked myself about the furry art. Why is it that i can't find anything else than manga when i "google" furry or fursonna ? is it because of the manga trend or just because that's the way to draw a furry personna?
when I do commission i try to draw thems in a realistic way but i was wondering if i was doing the thing right

There isn't a right or wrong way to drawing fursonas. I think manga style is widely used, which is why I think you can see most furry art in that style too. I myself prefer trying to draw as realistic as possible, and someone else I know wants to draw more toony (not necessarily manga).
I think you should just draw the style you like to draw, not what is most used. I think in time people will ask you to draw stuff, because your art is different than most (most being manga that is).
So drawing in your own style is right. Drawing in a style you don't like doing or just because it's used much is 'wrong'.

most likely, what type of furry art people like the most, i will determinate it with the poll with the general opinion

There isn't any particular style that is better than any other style. It's always about personal preferences, and different people like different things. It's also entirely possible for people to like both toony AND realistic styles equally.
Personally, I prefer semi-realistic art, but there are plenty of exceptions. It largely just depends on if the artist is good at doing whatever they do.

I think you got the "is a fursona better in x style" part answered. I actually have seen very few artists drawing them solely in Manga art style. More often than not, I see them draw in in semi-realistic or cartoony.
My favorite art style is the aforementioned semi-realistic style, with a close second of true realism. There are a few cartoony drawings that really grabbed my attention, but not nearly as many of those as there are semi-realistic ones.

I agree with Sytex there.
There is definitely some great furry artworks drawn in manga style but I simply prefer the western styles (like Styrex said, realistic, cartoonish, and everything in between), probably because I read a lot of manga so I guess I get tired of it and seeing some other styles of drawing is nice.

In my own art, I've noticed a bit of a trend when it comes to drawing different genders. When I draw females, I tend to gravitate more toward a manga style, especially when I'm drawing their faces. I suppose it's because I can very easily achieve a cute appearance when using a manga-esque style. With males, on the other hand, I've noticed that I will typically use a more cartoony/semi-realistic style. One thing remains constant between these two genders, though, and that's the eyes. I'm usually most comfortable drawing eyes in a semi-manga style. It's just what's easiest for me, and it's the style that I've just naturally developed as I've practiced drawing. :)
