Title: PC Component Stores
Post by: Crevan Fox on June 30, 2013, 08:44:58 AM
Hello all!

I thought I might make a thread dedicated to the best places to get components from, all around the world. I will list a few but then you guys can also pitch it and reply with other places and then we can build an archive of places to buy from! I apoligise in advance if something like this also exists but I couldn't find anything.

To begin;

Newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/) (US/Canada/China)
NCIX.com (http://us.ncix.com/) (US/Canada)
Overclockers.co.uk (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/) (UK)
Microdirect.co.uk (http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home/) (UK)
Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/) & Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/) (UK & US)

That's all for now folks; pitch in your own favourite places from wherever you are! :P

I prefer Newegg over anything, but when they don't have something I need I tend to go to tigerdirect.com

I mainly just use Prisjakt/Pricespy to find the cheapest online retailer. They also let you leave comments and rate different online stores...

They have websites for a few different countries:
www.prisjakt.nu (http://www.prisjakt.nu) (Sweden)
www.prisjakt.no (http://www.prisjakt.no) (Norway)
http://pricespy.co.nz/ (http://pricespy.co.nz/) (New Zealand)
www.pricespy.co.uk (http://www.pricespy.co.uk) (UK)

An alternative would be Pricerunner:
www.pricerunner.se (http://www.pricerunner.se) (Sweden)
www.pricerunner.dk (http://www.pricerunner.dk) (Denmark)
www.pricerunner.co.uk (http://www.pricerunner.co.uk) (UK)
www.pricerunner.fr (http://www.pricerunner.fr) (France)
www.pricerunner.de (http://www.pricerunner.de) (Germany)
www.pricerunner.at (http://www.pricerunner.at) (Austria)

Amazon and newegg are my favorite online retailers.
Although, lately I've been leaning more towards Amazon due to Newegg's changes in business policies lately. Some of the customer reviews have me wary. I purchased my last graphics card through Amazon due to the issues I read about with Newegg's policy on RMA'ing cards with the 'free' included games.

Additionally, because of my location, I like tiger direct. They have 2 or 3 stores in my city. I prefer Amazon/Newegg to them, but if I need something right away they're my next choice to amazon due to price!

Thanks for your input, guys! It's much appreciated. Personally I order my stuff from Amazon.com and then get it shipped to me via a service called Shop & Ship. It's cheaper than getting it from the UK by quite a bit, and in fact I would use Newegg as they're cheaper yet but they don't take UK based billing address'. I digress; keep them coming everyfur!
