To add another question, what type of under-cooler do you use for your laptop?

If there is no air coming through the laptop vents, then its poss the fan has stopped working, or, the vent is blocked by an insect.. maybe? Since you first posted, have you sorted the problem?

If there are signs of blocked vents/fan movement (as Arquette suggests), buy a can of compressed air and use it to clean them.
Compressed air cans don't generate static and spray out a (usually) non corrosive and non-conductive type of residue, which doesn't help at all but is better than what comes from your mouth.
