Okay, so I have Star Wars, the Old Republic, but I discovered the hard way that I don't have any computer compatible with it. So, I ask if anyone has a computer that would work with it that they would recommend, either laptop or normal computer. (Keep in mind, I don't speak computer-jargin, so if you could speak in laymen's terms, that would be most helpful.)

I assume you're looking to buy one? all depends on where you wana buy it, how much you wana spend, etc
-
Well, yes and no. I'm thinking of buying one, yes. I don't know how much it matters where I buy it...but I'm looking for good quality for a good price. Not necessarily cheap, but not ridiculous either.

well I think most important is too decide how much you're willing to spend. Attack the problem/issue here, first by recognizing a computer as an investment-not like buying a game console or something. If chosen correctly, a computer can last you a long time and serve many needs!
Want a laptop or a desktop?

Either, but I'd prefer a laptop. I need the portability for other stuff.

I'd personally recommend a Toshiba Qosmio.
I've used plenty before, own one myself, and can say it's a great working laptop that doesn't fail to perform for gaming, among other things. Newest models direct-buy from Toshiba would probably be in the low $1000's, but you can probably find one on Ebay, Amazon, Newegg, etc for much cheaper.

laptops, will run you anywhere from 800-infinity (when purchased new), for a nice gaming laptop. Minimum specs to play SWTOR though, you could probably get a NEW laptop thatd do it for about 600-700, maybe a bit less even. (mind you, thatd be a rather low end notebook overall and wouldnt be worth investing in if you ask me).
again, all depends on what your willing to spend, and what you want.
