Okay, quick question for everyone, new and old to the Fandom.....What is the defining point where a person becomes a Furry? Generally speaking....
-
Well in my opinion, even if your interested in the artwork and all that kinda stuff, you aren't a Furry until you choose to be one or think of yourself as part of the fandom itself and join in.
-
Ah, cool. I'm sorta new, and I don't want to misrepresent or anything, so you can understand my confusion.
-
yeah definately :3 I've only been a part of the fandom for oh... just under a month now myself
Oh and welcome to the forums as well :3
I really like your avatar!
-
Thanks, not mine but still cool, right?
-
I've only been really a part of fandom (only online so far) for 2 months yesterday.
The fandom has changed a lot over time I guess, and there seems to be a bit of a barrier between "community" and "fandom" a bit. Though, those in the community are of course fans of the concept, nonetheless :3

I think once you start liking animals with human(-like) attributes more than most, and especially go to furry sites, identify as one, etc, then you are a furry.
-
I'd consider anyone who appreciates anthropomorphic animals a furry :)
-
O.k, I see.
-
Welcome to the forum and if you now consider yourself to be a furry, then also welcome to the fandom ^_^
-
Thank you.
-
As i've come to learn it generally refers to anyone who enjoys anthropomorphic art or activities and wants to be one. So i don't think you can really be a wrong kind of furry i think we should love all no matter how much their into it.
-
Wants to be one? Or is one.
-
I believe that the generally accepted, worded out term for a Furry is: Someone who appreciates anthropomorphic art.
Done and done!
You like-a da art? You is a Furry :P

This, though furry I heard furry is often short for furry character, too its just easier to say.
-
A furry character being the character of a furry or a character that follows an anthropomorphic art style :P

Yep :3

I used to believe that it is a love of anthros which makes you furry but, as I'm sure many have said already, I now believe that you are a furry if you decide you are a furry (If that makes sense).
Anyway, Welcome and I hope I'm not too late.

@Crevan Fox:You're alright, in fact you're just in time. :D
