What is your favorite genre, band , and song i love country and metal the most but all kinds of rock and i love 50's music my favorite band is avenged sevenfold favorite song is "swing life away" by rise against

Easy, my favourite music/bands are;
- Mogwai
- Mother Mother
- Soulwax
Mogwai - Rano Pano is my favourite song ever, when it comes to an entire song.
However, there is one song, at least, part of it, that tops everything;
Mogwai - I Love You, I'm Going To Blow Up Your School. It has a lengthy intro I am less fond of, but at precisely 5:30, it becomes the most amazing piece of music I have ever heard. God, do I wish to hear them live once :|

I like many types of music, though I suppose my favorite genres would be 90's Alt Rock and Grunge. Bands like:
-Soundgarden
-Alice in Chains (with Staley, not this DuVall crap)
-Smashing Pumpkins
etc.
Though I also like metal quite a bit as well.
-Pantera
-Iron Maiden
-Megadeth
just to name a few. :)
As for song, I have no favorite.

I mostly like rock and alternative, but also some electronic/dubstep, metal, and a lot of purely instrumental music from video games. Favorite bands are Green Day, My Chemical Romance (R.I.P... sigh) and Rise Against, favorite single song is Famous Last Words by MCR.

Video game background music for the most part! Along with some movie and TV show soundtracks, some random Japanese music from anime, and... anything else that I can like and listen to. I tend to prefer individual songs that categorizing things into genres. Though my favorite band would have to be Coldplay. I always get all of their albums, which is something I do not do with any other band as I just like one song here and there rather than consecutive music if it's not from soundtracks.

I also like soundtracks from movies and games.

I'm really enjoying the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the moment.
I can't say definitively say what I love the most, because I'm always changing my mind :)

Favorite techno = Basshunter
Favorite metal = cradle of filth,
Triphop for me is basically Gorillaz and nothing else.

Dragonforce, Iron Maiden, Rush and BB King (There are a ton more than this, but I don't feel like listing them all so this is my top four).

I love power metal, my mom says its just 80`s rock with someone else that Mickey Mouse on the vocals... For those of you that think metal is "screamo" its only black, death and viking metal where they "growl" the screaming. And power metal is mostly softer and more melodic than heavy metal.
Favorite artist/band: Avantasia/Masterplan both are epic ^_^
Favorite song: I think it must be one of the long ones from Avantasia, "The grat mystery" or "The scarecrow"

YES! You do, he got the most epic voice in the whole world! But I prefer his work in Masterplan than in his solo career "Jorn". But he always make awesome music thanks to his amazing voice. Its nice to see that im not the only one that like this music :D

* Metal (death, black, doom, gothic, industrial, post-, sludge, drone, avant-garde, experimental, technical/progressive, folk).
* Other (post-rock, shoegaze, (dark) ambient, anything "-core", electronic).

Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorite classic rock bands. They were ahead of their time...and I continue to enjoy their music :3.

its nothing wrong with Owl City, when I have a hard time sleeping I often listen to some Owl City songs and it allways work. Trust me, cant sleep? Some of the calmer songs from Owl will fix that.

Yeah, I used to listen to it all, but once my life started sucking (right when you get old enough to realize all the crap you have to take and people can judge you more freely) I changed my music pace and I just can't get back into the heavy stuff. There's something about upbeat positive music that keeps me in such a happy mood.

You're not alone. There's a lot of metal heads, but there's also a lot of, um, not metal heads. My favorite music genres are Folk music, Bluegrass, and Celtic.

Anything Core like Darkcore speedcore terrorcore hardcore doomcore you get the point I do listen to metal too mostly deathmetal or slipknot . but mostly gabber for me . not so much the oldschool gabber which is nice to but the more brutal the bigger my grin gets B)

little musical update :P
I have started to get more in to death and black metal. Before it was mostly just heavy and power metal, but now I have started to find the screamo stuff very interesting. And after trying to learn it for the last couple of days im even more impressed by those genres. I won`t stop practising screamo before I am happy myself about how it sounds ^_^
