Title: London Beach
Post by: Ebony-Star on January 06, 2013, 02:58:47 AM
You find yourself in London, England. You either took a bus, train, plane, or boat, or maybe you walked or was already here! There's more or less nocturnal furries about here, only one or two humans. It's night, the sky clear for once to show the sliver of a cresent moon, winking stars wishing you luck wherever you are. Oil lamps line this cobblestone street next to the ocean, never being exchanged for the newer electric lights which could hurt some of our sensitive eyes.
The ocean laps against the shore, a wooden boardwalk extending out over it. The sand glitters in the nightlight, moving and shifting as the waves push and shove it.
A wolf walks next to the ocean, dark brown wings tucked against her back. Her fur shines like silver, her ears black tipped and spots along her exposed back. A white sun dress hides the rest of them and flutters in a slight breeze as she walks in the surf, bare pawed. She stops and looks up at the moon, lighting up her crystal blue eyes.

A slender silhouette braved the streets with a timid gait, knowing that the night won't end as he hoped. He lost a friend, an accomplice in a clever charade, but the past is the past, he cannot reason, he cannot bargain. He noticed a small group of teens, slightly older than him, but his shy tendencies began to kick in. He tried to sneak onto the beach with light steps, covering his tracks along the way. Soon enough, he was alone again.
A tear ran from his eye in remembrance, but he soon wiped it without skipping a beat, he didn't want to be alone in a world like this, he needed somebody, he needed another friend, he needed another accomplice. His walking drew to a stop as he sat on the ground and looked up to the sky, enveloping himself in his thoughts once again, until he looked to the side, expecting to see an empty patch of sand, to find, a lone figure. "Why would someone be out here in a time like this?" he thought to himself, as he began to contemplate his options. He stood and walked to the silhouette, curious, shy, and slightly scared. "Uh, hello?"

She looks startled by your voice, not able to smell you based on how the wind is. She looks around for the source of the voice, not finding anyone near me except you. She looks at you, her wings pulling tight against her back, her ears laid flat. Hesitantly, she takes a couple steps back, looking scared, her blue eyes watching you carefully. "P-Please don't hurt me. I-I didn't mean to run away. I'll come back, I promise." She shifts so the moonlight shines on her face, showing a bruise on her cheek. Her eyes water up as she watches you, keeping pressure off her right leg. "I'm sorry...."

He was surprised by her actions, but still curious nonetheless. He stepped closer, his innocent eyes now visible. "I'm sorry m'am, I... I didn't mean to..." He began to cry as well, in deep, vacant sobs.

She takes a step closer and stops, hesitant. She then walks to you, putting a hand on your shoulder as she hugs you, only slightly shorter than you. "I'm sorry. Please don't cry." She pulls away and wipes at the tears, no matter how fast and how many fall. "Did they send you to bring me back? D-Did they hurt you?" She suddenly looks worried, looking you over for cuts or new bruises.

He felt comfort in her touch, eventually hugging back. "I-I don't know what you're talking about... ...But, I'm not hurt." He said with a sudden shiver. "I am cold, though." He giggled, trying to stay optimistic with the circumstances.

She smiles slightly and looks around. "I guess they didn't send you. Y-You better go. If they see you with me, they might hurt you...." She looks down, stepping away. She winces in pain, her right leg giving out suddenly. She sits down, trying to slow her decent. "Y-You gotta go."

"I can't leave someone like you in pain." he crouched next to her and supported her with his arms. He thought of what she meant by 'them' but he whisked the thoughts away in attempt to keep his confidence. "Where exactly does it hurt?"

She shakes her head and tries to stand up but can't, her right leg hurting so much. She pushes you away weakly. "Th-They'll kill you. You need to leave." She looks up at you, her blue eyes not quite focused. They fill with tears as she whispers "I can't let them hurt you, n-not because of me."

"I don't care who these people are, but they aren't hurting you, or me." he lifted her up and walked towards the city. "I know a place to sleep for the night. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing."

She starts crying, to weak to resist you now. She rests against you, her wings limp and hanging from between her shoulder blades. Now that she's so close, scars are visible under her silvery fur, one crossing over her muzzle, another set visible starting at her left shoulder and angling across her body, toasted her right hip. She closes her eyes, content with the feel of your aurora surrounding her. It was a soft blue, giving out a soft coolness only she could feel. She eventually stops crying, almost asleep.

He was mesmerized. He didn't understand the scars before his eyes, but he was as curious as ever. He continued through the streets of what seemed to be a Haitian market, void of life. His steps echoed through the stone alleyways, his stomach responding in dreadful discontent. He played her words over and over in his mind; Why is she hurt? Who are these people after her? Why was she on the beach? He wondered for the remainder of the walk, before he reached a small door, decorated in foreign graffiti. "Here we are..." he whispered as he opened the door. "This store is owned by a man I know. He's nice, so don't worry."

She stirs at your voice, wincing and lifting her heavy lids. After looking around she tries to get out of your arms but can't, to tired and weak. She looks up at you, her eyes slightly distant but an iceberg blue. "I.....I still don't know your name." she suppresses a yawn and her eye lids slide down a little more. Her wings try to lift themselves up and tremble slightly, getting about halfway before they can't lift any more, the effects of running away showing themselves finally.

He walked into the apartment slowly, trying to make his steps as smooth as possible, for he didn't want to interrupt her slumber. He laid her on a dirty couch and put a blanket over her. "Just, call me Auden" he whispered to her, eventually leaving her to sleep.
Title: Re: London Beach

She smiles slightly before falling asleep, just as a cut on her forehead stands bleeding again. Wincing, she turns so she's halfway on her back, her right paw out from under the blanket, exposing a rope-burned ankle. The same rope-burn marks are on her wrists and other ankle, suggesting she was tied up. Her bruise on her cheek has darkened slightly, swelling. Under the blanket, her right leg was swelling too, turning an angry red with purple. Her breathing is normal, showing that she's in no pain currently.

He didn't notice her, instead, he entered another room and turned on the light. You hear some faint arguing before growing silence. After a while, you hear a shower start, loud enough to mask the sounds continuing to be emitted from the room.

She wakes up, feeling the two arguing people's displeasure. She knows she has to go before they find her and hurt you. She manages to sit up, leaning fully against the back of the couch. She presses a hand lightly against her ribs, feeling a pressure building up. She passes out as she tries to stand up, falling back onto the couch, a corner of the blanket in her lap.

You hear the door open, a dark figure standing in the doorway. You realize, it's Auden, his clothes now absent from his body, leaving only a pair of raggedy jeans. His fur was wet, and his hair was drooping over his face, partially hiding his shock. "Oh no..." he realized her strain as he rushed to her side. "Oh no, oh no!" he exclaimed, practically a scream.

She groans, trying to block the pain in her unconscious state. She shifts slightly, her dress messed up. She winces, her breathing quick and pain filled.
(bed time for me. Sorry for it being so short)

"Wait just a bit, I'll find something for you." he ran to the kitchen and opened a cupboard, desperately trying to find something that will ease her pain.

//Okay! Bai! :3

Ebony's breathing is soft, but still quick little gasps. Shifting slightly causes her fall over, the sudden flare of pain from landing on a wing jolting her awake. She whimpers and try to figure out all that's wrong, thinking her leg is fractured, the wing just hurts, and she thinks something's up with her ribs. Her voice calls out weakly, "Auden? Wh-where are you?"

He ran back to her, clutching a white pill bottle. "Here, just take a couple Of these..." He said, placing two circular tablets into her mouth. "They'll stop the pain, but only for a while." He placed her back on the couch to examine her wounds. While Auden's attention was focused on her, an older, human male entered the room, overweight and donning a stained wifebeater. "Y'didn't say sh'was this bad!" He said, walking over to the fridge. Auden responded with a conspicuous glare, making the human understand the current circumstances, so he retreated into his room. "Can you tell me what happened?"  He said, returning his attention to her.

She swallows the pills with only slight discomfort, struggling to sit up. She pulls the blanket around her as the pain slowly ebbs, her ears pinned back. Her eyes are focused on the floor, not wanting to look at you. Her voice shaking. "I-I don't know how to start...." She looks tired and her eyes scared. "E-Ebony. That's my name."

He hugged her with full force, oozing with satisfaction and relief. "I was scared you were..." he drifted off with a dreadful grimace. "Well, It's nice to finally know your name, Ebony." He drew back from the hug and smiled. "And, you don't need to tell if you don't want to, I'll understand."

She looks up at you, smiling past the pain in her side. She looks down at her dress, finding it to be filthy. It was thin, near see-through. This causes her to pull the blanket up, covering her more. She blushes slightly and looks down. "I-I'm so used to this dress, I've only been seen once outside of the building. I-Its hard to see down there too."

Ebony looks down, hands fisted and her knuckles white. "When I was young, only around thirteen, I was on my way to school. I was grabbed, a bag being put over my head. They took me to a building. I-I don't even know where....they did...things to me after a while." She whimpers and pulls her legs close to her chest. "I-I managed to run away a couple times, but they treat me worse after...."

His lips trembled as his eyes became wet. "I-I'm so sorry..." he said, a tear running down his cheek. " I don't know who did this to you, but you're safe here." He wiped the tear and smiled. "You need some extra clothes? I need a shirt or two as well"

"why are you sorry? It's not your fault." Looking down at her dress, she picks up the skirt of it. "And yeah. This is the only thing I have and it's not holding up great." She smiles at you, showing no sadness. "Besides, I like to think about the happy things, not the sad ones!"

He nodded and gave a faint smile. "I suppose..." he stood up and offered a hand. "I can't shop without you, y'know... Can you walk?" He giggled and looked down to his body with a blush, finally realized he was half naked. "I guess I should also get some clothes on?" he made a another nervous giggle. "Doc said I'd die otherwise."

She stood with your assistance and kept most of the pressure off her right leg. "Yeah I can walk, just I think I might have to wrap my leg. M-Maybe some ribs too." She looks up, startled by your last statement. "Wh-What do you mean? What does he mean?" A slightly scared expression crosses over her face as she looks up slightly at your face.

"Sure, I bet you can do it better than me." A blush covers her face as she realizes she will have to take off her dress to let you wrap up her ribs. "H-How do you wanna do it?" She looks down awkwardly and blushes more.

His face burned a dark crimson as he realized the same idea. "Y-you just, uh, I mean, uhm, t-t-take off the d-dress..." His cheeks were even darker than before. She needed proper medical care, but he didn't want to invade her privacy.

She blushes as she quickly pulls off the dress, wincing as she pulls it over her head, a deep purple bruise along her left side. She keeps her eyes fixed on the ceiling, trying not to breathe too deeply. Her fingers are linked together on top of her head, not wanting to obstruct you from wrapping her up. She still keeps pressure off her hurt leg, her wings helping to balance. "I'm sorry I'm making you do this...."

While she unclothed herself, he was stationed in the bathroom, trying to find the correct bandages. He came back with a loud yelp, not expecting to see her this way. He slowly walked to her side, placing a hand over his eyes in order to leave her at least a little privacy. "It's, okay, I'm just not used to this kind of stuff every day..." He began to wrap the cloth around her, trying with all of his will not to look up.

"It's ok if you look, I guess you could say I'm used to it." The blush is gone as she close her eyes, secretly hiding tears. She winces slightly and bites her bottom lip, trying to keep her pain to herself like she normally would. "Wh-Who was that earlier, the man?" Her eyes are open now, an icy blue. They catch the light, making them shine. Silver fur shimmers slightly as she breathes, trying not to take too big of breaths. It's paler along her chest and belly, going between her legs and down halfway on her tail. The three scars that cross from left shoulder to right hip look suspiciously like claw marks and are visible through her fur. Black spots start on her back, going up to her neck and down to her lower back, fading out. Her wings are spread out, showing the golden flecks underneath near the base against the near-black brown. Wheat gold hair falls down her back, slight waves making it shimmer.

He finally began to notice her appearance and like before, he was mesmerized. Not by her wounds, but, her body. Once again, he blushed. He awkwardly adjusted himself, hoping she wouldn't notice his darkening cheeks. He diverted his attention to her other wounds, now wrapping the cloth bandage around her leg, bringing him back to the cruel reality. "His name is Mick." he paused and clipped a portion of the bandage. "He runs an underground black market kind of thing, dealing anything you would want to get your hands on..." he chuckled. "Anything at all, but for a price, of course." He looked up to her and gave a small grin. "Cops were already on his tail, so he thought it wouldn't hurt taking me in as an adolescent. Trust me, he's a nice guy if you get to know him, and for the love of god, don't get on his bad side." he stood up and handed her the tattered dress. "You're all set, Ebony."

She slips on the dress and adjusts it so any tears are mostly hidden. She gives you a quick peck on the cheek and smiles, her tail wagging slightly. "Thanks." She looks down slightly, blushing softly. The dress shifts slightly and her ears flick towards Mike's room hearing him move around. "W-We better go now. How much money do you have?"

"I-I took a little more than half of what they had, probably a thousand or so." She looks down at her hands which are scarred from trying to defend herself from claws and knives. Several other scars go up along her arms, more ragged and awkward. "I hid it somewhere, knowing that it would be weird to carry around lots of bills when I only have a dress." A soft blush spreads across her cheek and she counts the scars on her hands mentally, used to not making eye contact. They thought of it as defiance and punished her for it too.

"Do you wanna get some of the money I have?" She looks down, shifting slightly, a slight blush spreading on her cheeks. She picks at a loose thread on her dress, trying not to seem too bold. "I-it's not that far. If the tide's out, we can get it without getting my bandages wet."

She looks up, confused. "What do you mean? I only need clothes, maybe some food if there's not enough at your place." Looking back down, she realized she wanted to stay with you, but knowing every second I was with you put you in more danger. Her ears lay flat, her tail falling still as she realized what they might do. Heasitantly, she took a step away but shook her head, not wanting to leave.

She agonists and looks down, holding back tears. "I-I don't want them to hurt you. You don't deserve it." She continues walking by you. She threads her fingers through yours, her ears still pinned back. She blushes and focuses on the ground, walking closer to you. Her hand squeezes yours and she whispers, "someone's behind us. Don't look. Just act like you're talking to me. Take a right now, I wanna make sure it's us they're following." You can barely hear the fear in my voice, but it's there a little. Looking up at you, she laughs like you just told a joke. She can't hide the fear in her eyes though.

He gulped, and soon began to laugh with her, hoping the charade will keep up. He wanted to look back, to witness the kind of monster that would do this to a woman, but his fear overpowered his curiosity. He soon changed his direction into a road, littered with shop windows and barren stands. "Is it working?" he whispered to her, his hand as tight as hers.

"Still there." She kept walking, listening to the steps behind us. She could hear her own heartbeat in her ears, beating fast and hard. Squeezing your hand she kept the same speed, not showing any fear. The feeling of the eyes watching us familiar. Glancing back expertly, her eyes widened. "Go. Now. And don't look back." I start slowing down, my hand sliding from yours almost reluctantly. Looking at you, tears rise in her eyes, knowing what she'll have to do to protect you. "It's under the dock on the beach." She turned around and faced the gryphon that was following us, especially her.

"No!" He exclaimed, grabbing her by the torso. "You, are not going to leave me!" He picked her up once again, this time, more hastily. He took off down the street with blazing speed, almost seeming abnormal for his stature. His speed grew with each step, but soon enough to his realization, that he was facing a dead end. He scanned the surroundings, for a way out of this situation with no avail. "Well, dammit..."

She struggles to get out of your grip, the grypon quicklycatching up with us, his wings helping to speed him up. "Put me down! I-I don't want you to get hurt! You don't deserve it." She's crying now, tears freely falling down her face. "I'll be fine. I promise. Just....just go." Her eyes suddenly grow cold, "I never liked you anyways. You were too soft." Her face shows no emotion but my eyes are icy.

He stopped walking and turned his attention to the ground. He was thinking, he never truly pondered the idea of death, and today wasn't going to be his first. He stood strong, still holding her with an iron grip, waiting for gyphon with a determined facial expression.

He speaks, his voice deep and rough. "Why don't you listen to the girl? Let her go." He walked closer and reached out a hand to wipe her cheeks. She flinched and tries not to pull back from his fingers. She looks ahead, not showing any fear.

He delivered a kick to the Gryphon, strong enough to knock him to the ground. This gave him a chance to escape into an alleyway disguised by a collection of boxes, in which he quickly toppled. He ran even faster than before, his breathing now heavier. Soon enough, he came to a small, shanty town inside of a train tunnel, it's residents sleeping within their dwellings, not aware of the chase outside. He was running out of options, continuing into the tunnel can lead to a dead end, while they will be easier to spot through the vast underbrush surrounding the area. He heard the Gryphon coming quickly behind him, and he became desperate. He ran into one of the households and closed the door, hoping not to wake the family living within.

She turns her head, burying her face in your chest. Muffled sobs shake her body as she clings to you. She tries to keep quiet so they're not discovered by the family or the gryphon. She pushes against your arm that supports her legs, wanting to stand. She look up at you, crying silently now as she stands. Her voice is just a whisper, "You know I didn't mean any of that. R-Right?" Fear enters her eyes that maybe you wouldn't believe her, that you would think she meant her earlier words. "I-I..." She falls silent as we hear the gryphon's footsteps go past, a walking speed now.

After a while, the footsteps came to a stop, for the Gryphon was gone. He let her down slowly, soon embracing her in his arms, yet again. "I had that idea, yeah..." he whispered into her ear. "And, there's no need to cry, he's gone."

She tries to stop crying, wiping at her cheeks and sniffling. The tears keep falling and she gives up, wrapping her arms around you. Her arms are tight around you, her face burried against your shoulder. "I-I'm sorry....y-you could've died! And it would've been my f-fault...." She cries more, still trying to be quiet.

"Well, we're still alive and healthy, right?" he peeled back his face mask for you to find his bright smile. "You will, no, we, will get through this." He held her tighter, unaware of the lone child watching them.

She holds you close and smiles faintly. She sees the child and whispers, "A-Auden? We seemed to have woken someone up." She slowly lets go of you, blushing. Wiping at her cheeks she looks at the small child, smiling slightly. She then looks down shyly, trying not to show the slight sadness entering her eyes. Unconsciously crossing her arms around her stomach. Her ears go back slightly as she continues looking at the ground.

He crouched next to the human child and gave a warm smile "I'm sorry about us entering your home like this..." he whispered to her. She looked up to him, confused, but Auden's gestures telling her it was urgent. She gave a nod and began to walk back into one of the segmented rooms. "Wait.." He said, as the child looked back, curious of what he had to say. He reached into his back pocket and retrieved his money, placing it into her palm. "You need it more than I do." he smiled, while she did the same.

A quiet whimper escapes Ebony's lips, barely audible, as she looks at the floor, tears stinging her eyes. Her head hangs, her arms still crossed over her stomach. A single tear lands on the floor before she wipes at her eyes, trying to stop crying. She wasn't that big of a cryer, she was tough even before she was kidnaped. Several of the people who grabbed her still has scars from claws and teeth. She looks up as soon as she knows there's no trace of the tears and gives you a small smile. "What's she going to do?"

He gently took Ebony's hand and pulled her out of the house, leaving the two of them alone once again. "She is going to return to her family." he said, smiling reassuringly. In the horizon, you can see the sun beginning to rise, filling the sky with a diffused orange. "We should go and get that money of yours soon..."

"Yeah." She looks at the sunset, her blue eyes contrasting with the orange of the sky, the orange bringing out the blue and her silver fur. She smiles, looking at the sunrise. "Can....Can we just stay here for a second?" She hasn't let go of your hand from when you grabbed it, holding it gently but firmly. Her fingers thread between yours as she stands next to you. The light makes dark shadows, every shadow made by her body contrasting deeply with her fur. Her eyes close as the warmth from the sun starts soaking into her skin and her dark-to-light wings spread slightly, still bent at the outer joint, but catching some of the light. The closest feathers near her back are black, like a raven's. Opening her eyes again, gold and violet flecks are visible in them, accenting the blue. She looks at you with her unique eyes and smiles at you, grateful that you were on the beach.

He stood there, gazing to her with wide eyes, hid by his drooping hair. You see his cheeks beginning to redden, as he shifts his weight out of embarrassment. He flipped his hair to the side, flashing a warm smile along the way. His spots began to blend with his light grey fur, making him seem distinguishable as a glowing silhouette, flowing in the wind. He didn't understand what she has been through, nor what kind of people she angered, but that doesn't matter now. He wrapped his arms around her, trying to savor every moment he had with her, not wanting to let go.

She wraps her arms around him, wanting him close. She looks up at you and smiles softly, your face still visible. She has to stand on her tiptoes slightly to kiss your cheek, blushing. Her blue eyes were averted, looking away shyly, her arms still around you. Her light blonde bangs fell across her eyes, blocking them from your sight. "Auden?" Her voice was soft and hesitant, almost scared. Her ears were halfway back, her eyes still hidden behind bangs.

He giggled at the feel of her kiss, soon returning it upon her cheek. His face burned heavily, blazing a dark red. He didn't know what feeling was blooming inside of him, only that it felt fantastic.
"Uh, y-yeah?" He whispered, gazing curiously into her blue eyes.

"W-Will you kiss me?" Her cheeks were a bright red, her eyes looking into yours bravely. She knew she was an idiot for asking that, but she wanted to know your answer. She's had kisses forced on her before and she didn't want to do that to you. Her heart was thumping hard in her chest, afraid and anxious for your answer. Her blue eyes searched yours, trying to guess you answer. The sun was higher now, almost clearing the horizon.

His heart began to race. He didn't know she thought of him that way, but he soon realized, that he shared her feelings. He leaned in, wrapping his lips around hers.

A blush spreads over her cheeks and she kisses you back, her arms going around you. It felt like forever, but it was only a few seconds before she pulled back. She looks down, shy now. You were her first real kiss and she was embarrassed about it. Her arms were still wrapped around you, her body close to yours. She watched as both of their auroras mixed, her chocolatey brown going through your light blue like smoke. She watches it, fascinated.

He looked down to her, amazed. He was struggling for something to say, but with all of his will, he couldn't find anything. He accepted the silence, bringing her closer. "I, I love you..." He pushed his forehead against hers, his eyes coming to a final close.

She smiles and looks at you, the light shadowing half of your face. She could feel the words rise up in her throat and was expecting herself to say them, but they got caught and wouldnt come out. She pulls closer, wanting to let you know she feels the same but afraid to say the words. She whispers softly, not wanting to disturb the peace, "w-wanna go see where I used to live? I think you would've liked it." A small smile pulls at her lips as she looks at you.

"Next to the ocean. It's on the way to the dock actually." Ebony smiles up at you and blushes softly as she kisses you quickly. Her hand slips into yours and she starts leading you down the street the way we came. "It's been a long time since I've seen my house. Or my friends." A small shiver goes through her but continues walking. "Too long." She looks at you, smiling shyly.

She nods. "yeah. Sorry for getting you mixed up in this." She blushes as she continues walking with you.  "You're actually the first guy I've met that would literally give his life for me. B-But I don't want you to die. You do realize they could kill you, right? They almost killed me once..." she looks down and touches the scar at her shoulder that goes down. "I-I don't want that to happen to you."

"I can't leave a girl alone in a situation like this." He said, giving her a nuzzle. "It would be against my nature not to help... Even if a chance of death may linger." He placed an arm on her shoulder, looking directly into her eyes. "I would always help someone I love."

She blushes, her cheeks becoming a light pink, and looks up at you, the icy blue in her eyes melting and softening to a blue spring sky. "I-I...." She looks down, ashamed she can't say the words back to you. Tiredness sweeps over her, all the adrenaline from running away finally disappearing. The smell of the sea enters the air, a salty scent. Her ears perk up and she grabs your hand and starts running, half leading half dragging you behind her. "Come on! We're almost there!" Other people and furries were coming out to go to their jobs or school now and gave us sideways looks. Ignoring them, she raced on, barefoot, in a ratty old dress and not that clean, not having seen a proper shower in awhile. Her hair was blown back, showing her face better, her blue eyes electrified by excitement.

She stops where the grass starts getting swallowed by sand, looking out at the ocean. The sun was a little past the horizon, making everything a soft red. Her breathing is quick from running and she stares out over the ocean. She sits and takes off the wrapping on her leg, the puffiness and redness gone. The small crack was fixing itself under her skin. She rubs it absentmindedly as her eyes gaze over the deep blue ocean. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Her gaze focuses on you and she smiles.

He sat down next to her, gawking to the sunset, then to you. He needed someone like this, someone to care for, someone to love. He placed his arm on your shoulders, pulling you in closer. He nuzzled her, soon embracing her warmth as well.

She snuggled against your side, fitting almost perfectly. Her head rested on your shoulder as she gazes at the sun, smiling slightly. Her aurora mingled with yours and you could feel what she was faintly. Happiness and a small twinge of something unidentifiable were overlaid by pure and unbridled love. Her arm wound around your waist and she looked up at you, blushing softly. "Why do you love me? I've never had someone love me before. Not this type anyways." A child-like curiosity shines in her eyes as she looks up at you.

She blushes as holds your hand and kisses you back. She smiles up at you, wanting to tell you how she feels, but scared to. She looks down and bites her bottom lip. "I'm sorry I can't say it....I-I just don't wanna have you taken from me. Everything good of mine was taken." She presses closer and looks at their intertwined fingers.

She shakes her head slightly, still looking down. She looks up, remembering about her old house. "You still wanna go see my old house?" She smiles up at you and kisses your covered cheek, blushing softly. She had bottled up all her bad feelings and stored them away, letting only the positive ones show.

She blushes and kisses you back, smiling softly. She hands you your balaclava back. "Why do you have to wear this?" She stands up gracefully, turning to help you up too. A glow seems to surround her slightly, the sun behind her now with the wind blowing her hair around her face. Her wings were slightly visible behind her, turned black by shadows.

She hugged you back, smiling softly. "Thanks." She holds on a little more and looks back toward the house, deciding how to go. She lets go of your hand and walks up to the door, knocking on it before she changes her mind. Shortly after an elderly fox woman opens the door and looks at Ebony. Ebony looks up shyly and the fox gasps, putting a hand on her heart. She sweeps Ebony up in a tight hug and smiles wide. "Y-You're back! I knew you would come back." The fox says, loud enough to carry to you.

I'll tell you all about it," she says to Amber's puzzled expression. "Can we come in? Please?" Amber nods and backs up, holding open the door. Amber herded us into what looked like a sitting room and spoke gently to Ebony after they all were seated.
"What happened?" I look down at my hands, knowing she wouldn't ask me about my scars until I mentioned them. Ebony told her what she told you, going through how the people kidnapped her, who hit her, and who used her for their pleasure. Anger, pain, sympathy, and worry all passed over Amber's face, but never pity. Her face lit up slightly when Ebony told how sometimes she fought back and sometimes ran away, and then how she met you. When Ebony talked about you, she held your hand tightly and Amber noticed this.

Amber smiles and says, "I'm so happy for you two. She deserves someone good after what happened." Ebony blushes and Amber smiles. Ebony looks at you and squeezes your hand. She looks around, "where's mom and dad? They out on business?" Amber shakes her head and looks away uneasily, "Your mother quit her job. She's been a wreck, having random bursts of anger and depression. I-I think seeing you may do her good." Ebony nods and looks worried, standing up slowly. Amber stands up, looking down a hallway.

He looked to Ebony and gave a smile, eventually wrapping his arms around her in a comforting hug. "See? I told you everything was going to be okay." A few locks of hair covered his right eye, but his innocent, but reassuring, gaze was still present. He looked down to her, realization soon hitting that she was wearing a dirty dress, frayed and almost torn. "I suppose you should get some decent clothes on, eh?" he said with a giggle.
