Hello!

I'm Tymbal, a periodical cicada furry. I'm 23 years old, and in the Chicago area. I attended MFF this past weekend, so if anyone recognized me, feel free to say so! I'd love to chat!

I've been a furry since I was 18, and have taken part in the therian and otherkin community since I was 14.

I have a variety of interests, including prehistory, religion, the supernatural and spiritual, anatomy and physiology, music, and literature.

I've often been fairly inactive on furry communities, but I will try to be active here!

I actually used to go by the name, "Nova" in the community. I did for years, before I settled on cicada.

Really? Cool! ^_^  I've always loved the word, but I'm also into astronomy and Latin. So given the word's astronomical significance and the fact that it means "new" in Latin, I thought it would be a great name. Then I picked "aurora" to put on the end because I love that word too, but it also means "dawn" in Latin so together my name is actually grammatically correct Latin for "New Dawn"  :P
