Title: Assassin's Creed; Deliverance
Post by: Døvu on October 02, 2012, 04:52:05 AM
Dovu put down his hood and took a drink from his water pouch. Inside the main Assassin Den it was quiet and warm due to the fact that there were no windows or open doors. If it weren't for the tailor shop owner next door concealing their location, the den would not exist. This was the largest of the assassin dens in all of Rome. Most have been burned down by the templars, but a valiant effort was taken to keep rebuilding. The assassins would never die.

He looked around at the others inside and recognized some familiar faces, and some new ones as well...he was proud to see such a diverse group of species.
"There is a rumor of another Piece of Eden right here in Roma. Im not sure if the source is credible, but Its worth checking out. Theres a Templar tower on the outskirts of the city. That tower used to be ours. We know it well, and most likely we can find a clue about this artifact inside that fortress. The Templars have too big of a lead on us. I say we go and take back whats ours and find out more about this thing...what do you think?" Dovu asked the assassin next to him.

A robe clad green fox sat silently upon a bench outside of a local market. "Praise be it to the lord if I can get a damn sandwich." He whispered as he eyed several patrons. His eyes locked onto a small bag left quickly unguarded, his movement was quick but unnoticable as the bag of food became his. He strolled away as the unlucky owner began to pitch a fit over his stolen goods. Tohaku smiled to himself as he sat under a tree a few streets over and dug through his claimed prize. Some beef, some bread, and a small block of cheese were found with a small coin purse. "Ask and you shall receive huh? Pfft my fuzzy butt." A begger family sit at the corner of his chosen spot of rest. He looked back to the food and groaned. "Blessed and damned. I can never enjoy myself can I?" He sighed be stood slowly and walked to the beggers and dropped the bag at their feet. "Enjoy. This should quiet those guts of yours." They thanked him as he walked away. "Meat looked too good anyway. Oh well." He smiled and looked to a nearby 'rat hole' the assassins use to reach their Den. He knew they wouldnt be entirely thrilled to see him but what could it hurt to take a peak. "Curiousity is a cat killer. Not a fox killer. Lets see what the old boys have. Who knows maybe theyll sharpen the blades before gutting me." He chuckled as he stepped closer to the 'rat hole'.

The streets where crowded as he strode into the main rode from a joining ally. He keeps a cool brisk passe to keep ahead of the town guards who where shouting. Once in the group he kept passe with the traffic allowing his thick cloak the swirls around him. He had his modified Templar armor on and a bag hanging from his shoulder, looking back he could see the town guard carving through the groups of people yelling and cursing. And when one of them made eye contact he shouted, "The traitor is there!" He said drawing his sword yelling at people to move out of his way.

Turning around he looked back seeing them advance witch made him in return to start running through the crowd towards town square. Holding up his arms he shoved people aside, some fell, some stumbled in his attempt to lose the town guard but it was futile. He heard and felt the hand grip his shoulder place and instinctively he grabbed it throwing the guard over his shoulder on the ground in front of him. He then picked up his foot, crushing his neck snapping his neck instantly. Turning around he reaches over his back drawing his sword. The sword had a gold trimmed hilt witch he grabbed bringing out his bastard sword, inch by inch. The steel was unlike any other, a rare metal called Vetalion. The steel had a jet black look to it witch rippled around the very light. The drawing of weapons caused the crowd around them to disperse, some ran, while others formed a circle around the conflict. It was now him and seven town guards, And the guards where severely out matched.

He stopped just before he reached the 'rat hole' in time to notice the fight. "Luck has returned to this old dog's house" He said as he began to stroll toward the circle of townsfolk. The rich were petrified and ripe for the picking. A few quick snatches here and there, tohaku froze as he saw a little girl get shoved into the circle. The large man looks to know he's doing but the guards are idiotic and pay no minds to those around them. Tohaku shoved several people aside and stepped into the circle in time to stop a guard from inadvertantly stabbing the child. "Watch where you swing that toothpick. You may just put an eye out." The guard was not please by this stranger's words but no less the child was safe. "You just cant walk away can you Tohaku?" He said to himself as the guard swung at him with a large blade. Tohaku easily dodged it and ran his claws through the guard's throat, bleeding out within seconds. These guards shall regret their actions.

As his blood boiled he continued to fight, ruthlessly hacking down the guards when there was the sound of hoof prints on stone, in the distance three Templars rode up causing the people to part where they dismounted. Drawing there swords they said to the feline you now fight next to. "Its a shame we must now kill you brother, Why have you moved so far away from the light"

Snarling, Liam looked over to his left eyeing this unexpected Allie. "You best know how to wield that blade" he said as a guard tried impaling him. He simply stood out of the way dragging him down and planting his sword in his stomach. As the rest of the guards fled the Templars walked into the circle as people closed off there entrance for a view of the fight.

Tohaku stepped next to the large feline and smile. "How ya doin my fine cross jockies?" His eyes focused on the world around him as the warm sun broke over his robes and fur. "Hey big guy." He said looking to the large feline, "Sharing is caring." Tohaku lept forward as a templar took to his assault. His claw struck every opening of the templar's plate armor. He flicked the blood from his claws and readied for the next attack.

As Tohaku destructed on the other two moved in on Liam. One brough his sword up ready to attack as the other swept his in a wide left going arch. Parrying the attack he quickly brings up his sword blocking the next and so on and so on. The he sees an opening, sweeping to the right bringing his sword in a spin cutting right through the Templars steel. The Templar roared in anger as he swept his sword in his direction being too slow to stop the attack. His companion then came to his aid parrying the next killing blow and goes back on the offence. As the two Templars pushed there offence They pushed Liam to the outer circle pushing up against people, This distraction was all they needed as they forced a blade through his side just above his waist. The steel felt cold, as there was no lintel pain from the razor edge, and then it hit like an internal fire spreading through his body. "GHRAA!" He screemed as he griped his sword bringing up his sword gutting the Templar that was unable to defend himself. Pulling out the sword he brough his back up, now feeling its full weight, fighting to stay conshis.

Tohaku polished off any bleeders left on the ground. He notices his unexpected ally and his injury. "The point is to not get poked full of holes. Come my friend. Lets fix you up." He helped the feline stay on his feet and started to work towards his shack. "Try and stay awake until we get there ok? Youre pretty big and Im pretty lazy." He chuckled as they reach the outside of the town and reach a wooded area. Inside the woods there is found a shack only about half the size of a normal dwelling. Inside he sets the feline down in the bed and leaves to find some medical items. "Stay awake or I'll be forced to poke you with needles.''

Once on the bed he groans as his adrenalin wares off. Now felling the full pain he buckles under this newest injury. "Not as young as I used to be" He says joking to himself dropping his sword to the ground no longer able to hold its weight. Leaning back against the walls of the shack he peels off his chest plate letting it fall to the ground with his cloak. Looking down he sees his fresh wound, set among his many others but not easily one of his worst. "Yep.. its going to leave a mark"
He said feebly as he started to feel tired. Placing his left hand over the wound he clenched it tight to try and stop the blood loss but it was a futile effort as he felt the room grow darker.

The sizzle of burning flesh and fur fills the room as Tohaku presses a glowing hot peice of metal to the feline's wound. "Awake yet?" He then presses a numbing salve to now closed wound. "You wont be overly spry quite yet but itll help for the time being. Now drink this." He said as he hands him a liquid in a small bottle. "Itll fend off any infection and will keep you awake." He smiled lightly and collected the felines armor and weapons. "Don't worry. If we were a threat to each other we'd have ended each other by now. I must ask however..." He said as he layed the items in a chest unlocked. "Templars hunting a templar. Why?"

"YOU THERE!!! STOP!!!" By the Gods... Aget quickly cut the wallet off the man dressed in rich green he was robbing as the guards came at him quickly, making their way through the crowded area of the Market. He then ran off, adding the coins of his newest prey to his growing fortune. "STOP!!! THIEF!!!" The group of guards (Aget counted five, all  heavily armed) made after him, swords and halbardiers drawn. The Officer drew a gun and fired in the air. The crowd panicked and tried to get away, leaving Aget in clear sight for the soldiers. Oh oooh... Aget ran for his life, followed by the screaming soldiers and just missing bullets. I can't get a break, can I?

Dovu looked over at Aurora. "I told you, you arent safe out there. Ill remind you again that your bounty orders a kill on site. Youre safe here, and you are more valuable than you think."

As the room faded he was brough back by a burning sensation on his lower right hip causing him to grit his teeth and closing his eyes. "Arghhh... I have enough ugly scars as it is...." He said angerly breathing hard. Once handed a weird liquid he brings it up to his nose sniffing it causing him to cough. But once provided an explanation, he drinks the strange liquid. When Tohaku asked the question it causes Liam's ears to perk.
"Some things... are best left unsaid..." He simply said looking over his battered body. From countless battles then he can remember he has more scars and bruises then he can count. The resulting scars has left some patches of fur to grow back white insted of a creamy tan color. Sighing he rests his head back looking up at the ceiling, yet against his will he cant help but feel drowsy.

"I can take care of myself" aurora said coldly as her eyes narrowed "and, if you intend to collect said bounty....good luck" she flashed a grin dripping with malice that would have left most men an incoherent blob with soaked trousers.

"We wouldn't kill you, don't worry. I hope one day you can learn to trust us."
Internally Dovu was frustrated and angry with her, but knew better than to let it show. He had a responsibility an appearance to keep.
"Back on topic. When we are ready, we will assault the Templar tower and take back control. I want the leader alive though. Understood?" Dovu looked around at the other Assassins.

Tohaku sighed lightly and looked at the many scars his visitor had to bare. "I understand. No less I shall not prod then." He sat in a chair and sipped a glass of wine. "Aside from a few complications I guess it was a good day."He layed a few coin purses upon the floor and smiled. "Ill fetch us some food. You may rest here as long as you need. The templars no nothing of this place but if theres trouble then use the fireplace. it will lead you to another shack some distance from here." He left and began to walk back to town, his gold tucked safely away.

Once he departed Liam stood up, swaying a little looking around the small room. "I got rescued by a thief" He said to himself in disbelief. "Hmm... not an ordinary thief" With that he UN buckled the lower half of his armor and was now in simple leather trousers. Putting the rest of his armor together he realizes that the cloth is now stained with his blood, and has had time to soak in. "D*** it" He said holding up the cloth part of the chest plate. Sighing he placed it back down and moved back to the bed sitting down crosslegged praying.

He returned to the market where he purchased his food. Meats and vegetables with bread and wine. Enough to eat for awhile. The bodies from the fight were being collected as a priest blessed them. "Atleast it wasnt me." He said as he began to munch on an apple he purchased. "Better make sure the big guy is still breathing. It was only a flesh wound but he is pretty old." He began to walk briskly back to his home as the sun began to set upon Rome.

It is the silent moments he loved the most. The opportunity to slow down, calm your breathing, and purge your mind of all the would ail you. It is what he was doing now. A form of meditation he allways preformed taught by the Templars. It is also during this time he prayed. Prayed to a god who would not her, a god who is merciless, a god that would let his children die for nothing. "UGHHA!" He shouted snapping out of his consitration. Frustrated of how his life had become, how close we was to dieing today, He was becoming reckless.

He drops an apple in the feline's lap. "Eat up. We feast tonight." He chuckled. The food was placed in a small storage chamber as he finished his fruit. "The bodies have been taken. Those men chose death over peace. I pity none. No less how are you fairing? I didnt want to interupt your......prayer thingy." He said, sitting in a chair near the fireplace. "Old habits die hard huh?" He threw a small pellet into the fireplace and a large fire was produced. "A handsome thief with a heart of gold and a war veteran templar.......seems like a joke thats unfinished." He hangs several pots over the fire and begins to cook a wonderfully smelling stew. "Sorry for my manners. I'm Tohaku Blackheart, Healer, thief, and not too bad with the ladies."

Looking up he notices how fast it became dark and how long he must of been meditating. His nostrils flare at the smell as his stomach makes its presence known. Instinctively he picks up the apple taking a bite of it. "Liam... Ex Templar, but that doesn't mean I lost my faith, its the church that has lost there way..." He finishes saying mumbling. "Thanks... by the way... For providing me with a roof, food, and safety... As soon as I'm able ill be out of your hair. And one last thing..." Reaching over he grabs the sack he had with him before uniting it and looking inside. Reaching in he pulls out a crystal goblet handing it to Tohaku. "Payment"

He smiles lightly and chuckles. "No thanks holy man. If this were about money then I would've robbed ya and left you to die." He returns to his cooking, his tail wagging from side to side. "As for leaving you may take your time. If it were a burden I'd just toss you out." He takes a look at the goblet, "I will ask however what this is and how you got it."

"I owned it... Before the church ceased my property...I used to be wealthy, And this cup has quite a few memory's with it..."
Sighing he sits back again breathing calmly again as his chest slowly rises and lowers rippling from his mussels.
"Its nice... being able to relax like this" He said full on content.

"Then it's settled. Keep it as it has more value to you than it would me." He stands and hands him him and bowl of beef stew and a glass of wine. "Enjoy. Your gut seems to require some TLC." He chuckles lightly and sits to enjoy his own meal.

Smiles at your humor gladly accepting the food taking decent sized bites savering the taste. Putting the goblet back in the bag he sips the wine feeling the warmth spread through his body. "Its been a long time I felt this good, or had a decent hot meal." He says smiling. In no time at all he sets down the bowl patting his stomach with satisfaction. "Got a story? How you ended up here doing what your doing?"

He finishes his stew and sips on his wine. He smiles lightly with a touch of pain. "I made a mistake. I was trained by a proud man who's name stains my mind but leaves no name. I grew to love him. Maybe more than I should have." A tear streaks down his cheek, "turns out he had a plan to destroy the guild. I confronted him and he told me everything." He bowed his head. "I took his life but without evidence......I would die by morning." He smiles lightly and stands. "The rest isn't important. I'm here and here I shall remain." He collects the dishes and begins to clean them.

Looking at him with remoce he cant help but frown. Through all hard ships he himself has endured, taking the like of somone you hold dear was the hardest... And the one that stays the longest with you. "For what its worth... Im sorry." He says hoping it would cheer him up.

"It's....it's quite alright." He smiles as he finishes the dishes and sits back down by the fire. "Men like myself can't be open about who we are lest we be killed. Our love would have been wrong. His plans were going to end us. My heart must never outweigh my duty......no matter the cost." He smiles and refills his guest's wine. "Live til we die, yes?"

Thinking back to his losses he only sighs agreeing. Bringing up his cup to his mouth he takes a nice long drought starting to feel its effects.  "I cant stay here for long... The Templars know I'm here, they will send reinforcements. I need a place to hide, something more... inconspicuous." Looking over at his armor he thinks again. "And a new get-up... to get around"

He smiles and stands up, stepping over to a chest. "You could try these." He pulled out a set of silk robes, fit for a high class warrior. "They were a gift but I'm far too small for these robes. No idea how they could mistaken me for a big strong warrior but eh who cares."

"No. No it's not a bad thing." He looks at the robes and sighs. "Those robes......they'd look good. You can have them if you don't mind looking like an ex-assassin." He stands and steps closer to Liam. He takes the robes from him and pulls them over Liam's shoulders. He gazes up into Liam's eyes and smiles. "Looks pretty good without the blood stains."

Nodding he closes the chest and grabs his sword and sack. Walking over to the bed he sits down pulling out the jet black blade and a grinding stone. Slowly he guides the stone along the blade edge, ever so slightly increasing its allready razor like blade. "We should get some sleep now" He says on the third stroke, nudging his head twords the window for you to see how dark it got.

He nods and smiles. "Agreed. I'll be on the roof I am need. Good night Liam." He bows and steps outside. The air is cool and calm. With a quick leap, Tohaku sits on the roof and stares outward into the darkness. It's quiet......too quiet. "It's going to be a long night." He whispered to himself. A light glow is seen in the distance, catching his eye. He readies his blow gun and prepares for a fight. A torch flies toward him and lands on the roof, catching the dry wood a flame. "Damn it!!" Tohaku throws the torch back into the woods and jumps back down. "Beasts! Blast these cross jockeys!" Tohaku kicks open the door and pushes the fireplace aside. "Liam! We must run!" He pulls the feline into the tunnel and begins to lead him through the darkness.

He looks to Liam while they run. "Templars, Dozens of them. They want my head on a silver platter and you're the two for 1 special." He leads Liam through the darkened turns and weaves. "There's enough to overwhelm us and make us their new throw rug." THe tunnel ends at a ladder. "Lets go. Wait until I call you up." Tohaku climbs up and pushes the bolder of the top to reveal......spears. Dozens of bladed spears. "Well hell.......I guess Im gonna have a pretty bad night huh?" Tohaku is yanked from the hole and is placed into shackles.

"Tohaku!!" He yells seeing you get whisked away, Holding up his sword that he was in the middle of sharpening he gets ready to kill anyone brave enough or stupid enough to go down the hole, but much to his supprise they throw a burning barrel witch erupts in a purple haze down the hole causing him to back up but the haze overwhelms his senses as he fights the eager to pass out. In the end it was hopeless as he collapses in the tunnel.

Tohaku is knock out and lies unconcious. When he awakes he finds that both Liam and himself are locked inside a familiar jail cell. "Liam? Are you ok?" He rubs the back of his head to find a bump where he was struck. "Liam......try not to panic but.....We're in an assassin den."

"I was mistaken when I said Templars were attacking. They were assassins. They must need us alive or else they would have killed us." Tohaku sniffed the air and smiled. "but we may be in luck. This den is run by Dovu. He was an ally to me even during my trial. Perhaps we will survive this or atleast be killed quickly." Tohaku turned to Liam. "The gas they used was a very weak poison. It wont kill you but it will give you a slight cough forr about an hour. Take several deep breaths and youll live." He takes a sit next to Liam. "Most likely our weapons are locked away. Theyre quite thurough."

aurora could tell with experience that by this point her indifference would irk even the strongest of wills, shown or hidden it mattered not, she was bored and still somewhat curious as to how she was persuaded to come here, she did not remember coming but here she was.

bored.

for her own amusement she decided a steady application of indifference with a heavy dose of flirt was in order.

she lounged in her chair allowing the shoulder of her kimono to slip, exposing just enough cleavage to be distracting, she spoke in a mildly seductive voice
"and just why should i care? how could i possibly be valuable?"

Dovu stared at Aurora and gave a slightly amused but confused expression. He was about to start speaking, but the door beside him opened and an assassin whispered something into his ear. He nodded and thought for a few seconds staring at the floor.
"Excuse me, I am needed elsewhere. Aurora, you may join me if you wish." Dovu walks out of the room and down some stairs leading to the rest of the sizable den. He entered down a hallway and found the holding cells.
"Here they are." The assassin said bowing in the presence of a master assassin. Dovu looked through the bars and saw a fox and a feline chained to the walls. One of them wearing assassin robes, but he looked like no assassin. The other he recognized, and rolled his eyes.
"Please excuse us." Dovu ordered all other assassins away. He opened the cell and walked towards them. He stared at the stranger curiously, but then looked over at the fox. A large smile grew on his face.
"Tohaku. Its been too long. Im relieved to see you're still alive." He embraced him. "Word has it you're teamed with a Templar now." He looked over sternly at the feline. "Any friend of Tahaku is a friend of mine." He said to him. "But understand that I am a skeptic when it comes to your kind."

"Dont think I dont enjoy being chained to the walls by you and some friends but you couldve ask me first." He smiled, "This is Liam. He is no friend to the Templars. They damn near split his kidney." He sighs and looks to Liam, "He's deffinately an ally. He cut down two templars and took minimal damage and this was a fight in their favor." He looks back to Dovu slightly annoyed. "Now if you dont mind telling me why you had youre goons lock us up down here, Id like to know why Im chained to a wall with my clothes still on. Unless......You guys want our help. Either that or youve gotten sadistic with age dear friend." He cracks his neck. "One way or another its good to see you again old friend. Its good to be able to converse with you even in these circumstances."

"These times will pass. Im sorry they did this to you, but you have to understand you are one difficult person to track down, even for us. We discovered your secret exit to that shack of yours a while ago. We knew you wouldn't stand a chance against a full scale Templar attack...eh, no offense... I had a sense this day would come. I ordered some assassins to watch over you, we were only protecting you. I hear the Templars burned down your...house. Im sorry for the inconvenience. You are both welcome to stay here."

Dovu reached for a key and unlocked the shackles.

"We couldn't have you running off...Oh...pardon me, where are my manners. This is Aurora." Dovu said gesturing towards her.

"I thank you Dovu but having me here may do more damage than good." He looks to the assassins guarding the holding cells. "Salt in old wounds and all that. As for running off and such, you must forgive me if Im less than thrilled by the concept of being watched all this time. Though you are family to me doesnt mean the guild is my brothers any longer." He looks back to Dovu. "I wont spit on your offer for refuge but this is no longer my home. Now what can I thank this visit/kidnapping for?"

the wolfess examined the pair passively, and spoke in an offhand tone "he mentioned something of reclaiming a tower and such political repercussions, which makes me ask once more," her voice became unexpectedly cold and sharp "why should i care? it matters not to me who ends up ruling these lands, I never followed the rules either way, and as well, with the price on my head, how am i more valuable than that...unless of course you plan on using that against me." she paused to let it sink in for a moment, when she spoke again it was with a voice of  cool indifference "either way, you won't be able to use it against me, they want me dead, good luck"

Standing up he grabs one of the bars to steady himself still suffering from the gas. "That does not explain why I am here." He said in a groggy voice. Looking at all the assassins around he also inquires. "At what will keep everyone from stabbing me in the back once I put my guard down... Cant imagine there are many happy people here knowing that a former Templar is now under there roof..."

"There are others besides me who still call you brother. I am offering you a chance to redeem yourself and prove your innocence." Dovu said to Tohaku. "Thats right Aurora, perhaps our ex Templar friend here is familiar with the tower on the outskirts of town. We have intercepted information about a new Piece of Eden, and we believe more information is stored inside. Perhaps we will find evidence of your master's guilt, and the other Master Assassins will revoke your exile from the guild. Your capture was very unexpected, and only in the case of your imminent demise. You can chose to walk away and relocate, or assist us in our mission. I cant have you running around Rome any longer, you know too much, and the Templars know it."

Dovu turned to Aurora. "I plan to use none of your power against you. Infact I need you in order to survive. You are a brave fighter, and can help us in many ways...including the financial needs of the guild. Your actions wont go unrewarded." He looked at everyone. "None of yours will."

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Aget is able to shake off the guards. He quickly makes his way to the Assassins Hideout. There, he finds Dovu, together with two other Assassins. They looked like Assassins anyway, and what would they be  doing here otherwise?  Aget discreetly stands aside, waiting for Dovu to give him the report on his mission, but he is curious enough to listen to the three talking.

"So be it. You say I have a choice but that isnt true." He rubs the back of his head. "Alright look. Ive gone to the tower several times to steal gold and silver. There are three entrances the Templars have found and have become too dangerous to use. However the crypt entrance is still undiscovered. I dont know how much longer itll remain this way." He cracks his neck. "Leader of this sect is Peter Vialto, a master templar with a thing for foreign women. His death would anger alot of people and weaken the local templar force. We can either assault this tower from the crypt or send in a small team to take the tower while our fine female friend here does what she does best to get info from him." He smiles to Aorora and returns to Dovu. "Im sure she'd enjoy herself. He's one to send his guards away, lest give them a free show. In that time of empty space we will search their documents for evidence of their next move, maybe why they chose to attack me now. Once we complete our missions and carve Peter's throat a nice smile, we will burn the tower and let it fall. This will cost them finacially and also demoralize them." He looks down at his claws. "I volunteer to lead this mission. However if Im alone I shall understand."

"I knew you would come in handy. You're always a step ahead Tohaku. Usually, I would say we take as little risk possible, but I like the sound of that plan. Aurora here will be sent in to distract Peter Vialto." He looked around at noticed more assassins listening in.

"If there are any more assassins on stand by, tell them they are needed." Dovu ordered. He looked back at his friend. "If you havent realized it, you are never alone. Once an assassin, always an assassin. Once we destroy this tower, we can prove your innocence and give the Templars a clear sign that we are still as strong as ever."

He turned back to Aurora. "For you...you may have any reward you please...all you must do is ask."

marco sprinted across the rooftops, three thiefs on his tail and roughly twenty very angry guards behind that. the group kept moving, none wanting to either fall behind or get caught. up ahead marco spotted a way out, throwing a smoke bomb ahead of them he lept into the cloud of smoke, slipping down between two buildings and diving through an open window, the thiefs that had been chasing him lept the gap hidden by the smoke and kept running, a little over half of the guards leaping after them, the rest missing the gap and falling. ending up either dead or unconcious and bleeding when they hit the ground four floors down.
silently he slipped back out, climbing down to the fallen guards and quickly robbing them, happy to find the one he had been planing to pick-pocket laying with the dead, making the task a hundred times easier.

He chuckled and looked at Dovu, "Just like old times huh old friend." He looked at the masked assassin and smiled, "I like this lad's courage. Guts will be required with skill. Let this be his chance to prove his name." He turns his gaze back to Dovu. "The lad could help set up and distract if needed. One who can carry a weapon so openly can obviously handle a mission like this." He chuckles lightly and juggles three fire bombs. "Ill set these off if we have any trouble. If that happens I want 2 teams to reinforce us but it shouldnt come to that. No blood but that of our enemy's. We know our job." He turns to the masked assassin again, "Tell the apothecary of her lovely claw paint. We wouldnt want her to look anything but her best for her date with Peter would we? Return here when you have it. Once she has lured him in and the guards are gone, she will open the window and drop a cloth. This will tell us our opening has arrived......Oh and Aorora. Dont kill him to quickly. The info he gives us can add to or even reinforce any documents we find. We dont jump on chance but cold hard fact." He smiles and cracks his knuckles. "Lets begin."

Dovu looked at the familiar man offering his service. "No need to ask Zsasz. You are as important in this as anyone else. We need as many as possible to ensure an efficient mission. Even you, Liam."

He looked around. "Okay, so heres the plan. Zsasz, I will need you to pick up the poison from the apothecary. Remember to ask for mistress yamatsu's claw colorings. Please use haste, I am not sure how much longer his shop will be open. We meet back here at midnight. Aurora will ease her way into the Tower, get Vialto to clear out the guard, then poison him quietly, then signaling out the window. Thats when we climb up the tower, having gotten past the walls using the secret crypt entrance from the graveyard, and gather our evidence, then burn the tower down. Any questions?"

This we are of course grateful." He looks around as the memories of his old home return. "It's been so long. So many years from this den." He looks to Liam as they reach the armory. "You could stay here if you wish. This isn't your fight. I wouldn't blame you. Your wounds aren't fully healed yet." He smiles and kisses him on the cheek. "Be safe no matter your decision." Putting his hand up to his cheek he cant help but smirk to himself. "It has been my fight for quite some time now."
With that he walks to where is stuff layed, picking it up and inspecting it all ending with the sword. As he picks it up he slowly pulls the Jet black blade out of the sheath causing him to sigh and drive the blade back into its home. He then brings the sheath and attaches it to his belt on his left hip. "Much better" He says with satisfaction as he feels the weight he has so been accustom too return.

Dovu accompanies the two through the armory, keeping an eye on Liam. He had yet to prove his loyalty to the assassins. He noticed he was wearing master assassin robes, specifically Tohaku's master's...He didnt want to say anything though. Perhaps one day he would earn the right to wear the emblem on the attire as well.

"Lets make this quick. I want to be ready to go as soon as Zsasz comes back from the apothecary." Dovu dissembled his hidden blades, and unsheathed his daggers, short sword, and one handed axe. He began to sharpen all of them on a grinding stone.

Going through his possessions he finely gets to his bag. Upon opening it he quickly finds his grinding stone gone. "By any chance, do you have a Grinding stone I could barrow, Seem to have drooped mine. When you ambushed me." He adds with a hint of hostility. Tohaku punched and swiped at the air furiously with his claws, loosening up his tightened muscles and showing proof of his skills in unarmed combat. His claws were razor sharp, slicing effortlessly through the training dummies. "The lad should be at the apothicary's table by now. It will be nice to return to a mission after all these years." He smiles and rends a dummy in two. "These cross jockies wont see it coming. I only wish I could see the look on that old fools face when he falls for a set of beautiful blue eyes."

Dovu finished sharpening his weapons and gave his stone to Liam. He caught a glimpse of his armor in the bag. "We all have our differences, but this is a time for unity. Rising up and over on his feet onto the ledge of stone. Setteled to take a breath, Rylo looks apon the city ahead.. As Rylo had come closer to the city, and the Tower on the rim, he became more Warry of what it could be like there, but so far its design was familiar to him, but smaller. He stayed off the path's as he saw sign's of people moving along them. Rylo had looked back forward after a long stare at the aliens once again and aproaches the wall to the city. Seeing the whole event transpire prompted him to finding a quite corner to himself. There he took out his blade one more time, placed the grind stone just so, and produced long slow strokes to the steel. As far as he could hear the only sound he heard was the cold rasp of a deadly blade getting sharper and sharper. Sighing after he was satisfied with how it looked turning it over and under he slid it back in its sheath and sat there thinking. "I'm in an assassins den.." He said to himself in disbelief. Pulling out of armor he set it about on a nearby crate, spreading it all out seeing the same blood stain that has now plagued the solid gray and whites of his armor. Reaching in his bag he pulls out a rag and a small bottel, wets the rag, and starts attempting to rub out the stain.

"b-but he caught me off guar-"

~"but nothing, did we teach you nothing whelp?!!!! ALWAYS BE ON YOUR GUARD!!!!!"~

the normal colored aurora cowers at being yelled at and takes the short silence to build a little courage
it won't help her.

"why are you always so uptight! i honestly don't see why i should even listen to you!"

the other aurora growls and seems to grow larger

~"because i am the only thing that has kept us alive this long, Don't make me take over again"~

Rylo took two steps back, and then thrusted forward up the wall gripping him feet to a run and then his hands latch onto the top rim of the war and he rizes up onto it. He then jumps down to a small building hut and from there he climbs and parkours/freeruns to the Tower . But then comes across a wide street too far to make an invisible jump. He notices that the people were many different types of species. So Rylo had that hope that they wouldnt know the difference if he blended in. So he dropped down to the street and walked along into the city, changing streets to the Tower.

Rylo aproaches a tall building with barely any climbable ledges, and looks up at it, so instead he aims up his right gauntlet as its cilinder structure rotates with 4 things that open and stopped, one of them opens up and shoots out a sphere and it sticks to the top of the roof of the building, connecting it to Rylos gauntlet with a silver thin rope, and then it quickly pulls Rylo up and onto the roof, as he latches it back into his gauntlet. He walks ahead getting closer to the Tower

Tohaku looks to Liam. "Im sorry. I guess once this is over youll be leaving us. You owe us no debt." He looks to the floor as he sees him remove his master's armor. "No matter how this end, no matter who dies, thank you for honoring us with your strength." He turns to leave and enters Aurora's room. "Aurora......" kneels beside her. "I know of your history. We all have our baggage. We all have our demons who want no less than to destroy us. But......We must keep moving. Our stories must never stop being written until the very last chapter. Master Ezio taught us that the past is past. Dwelling upon it will do nothing but waste your valuable time. I dont want to see you suffer any longer. You are so strong but your strength falters when you panic. Let us help........Let me help you carry on. Please." He stands and smiles down at her.

"but i'm not strong, it is all HER, not sure if you would call her a demon, rather a half-soul....a corrupted one, she is the strong one, it's just.......certian emotions....are strong enough to block her out....like this" she stands and pulls tohaku close, kissing him deeply "i just hate her because she won't let me be happy, it depresses me."

Dovu takes the ingredients from Zsasz's hands. "Ill take those. They're a bit busy."

He looked over at Tohaku and Aurora. He walked up to them to talk privately. "What ever is going on between you two, it stays out of our business. Now come on, we have work to do." He started to walk away but stopped to say one more thing. "Tohaku, you arent going to get jealous when Aurora gives the templar his personal show, will you?" He laughed and walked off.

"Meet me in the Library. Everyone. Its time."

You have been hurt for so long you needed someone to protect you when no one else could or would. He takes her paws and smiles. "Ill help you. You are one with this spirit. Make it so." Sliding the robes in his bad he leaves it on the table. Then he turns to Dovu following him to the library still unsure of the layout of the sanctuary, he was relying on others for guidance around, and not wanting to get lost compelled him to follow. Walking behind Dovu was quite, until he broke the silence. "I'm sorry about... getting angry with you. Its just I would never of expected acutely being with assassins." With that he reaches in the small pocket inside his armor pulling out the stone he let him use. "Here." He says holding it out open palmed.

"Why don't you keep it for now, a token of trust...those assassin robes looked well on you, but you still have to prove your worth to me. Whichever way you decide to turn when this is over, just remember...sometimes you chose your colors, but sometimes your colors chose you."

He stood waiting for the others.

Sighing Liam pulls up a chair. Sitting in it he crosses his powerfull arms in front of his chest looking down the way they came for the others when they where ready. Every so often he would lean back in the chair, causing the sheath of his sword to hit the stone floor making a rhythmic tink noise. "After this... What happines next? Have you looked that far yet. You do know the Templars will want blood for the destroyed tower...They will be looking."

"The templars underestimate our numbers and capability. Let them look. After this they will realize the war is not over. All of Rome will watch the tower burn, and they will know that no other than the assassins are responsible. If they find us, we will fight until Rome is finally free from this tyranny."

He paused and leaned against a bookshelf. "Can I ask you something? Why do you help us?"

Looking down the hallway again he makes sure no prying ears are near by and then he puts hits arms on the desk in front of him sighing. "Please don't tell anyone else, Its hard enough to deal with..." With that he leans back again with a sad exasperation on his face, a look of pain. "As a Templar, we serve without question. We are the ones sent into the worst, to seek and destroy. But one can only take so much murder, and eventual it becomes too easy. But that was the old days, then the church became radical with there demands to hunt the last of the assassins. They started sending us to homesteads... Little villages and farms. I..." Taking a pause he brings up a hand to rub his eyes trying to get the images out of his head. "I don't thing, horrible things I regret, And I wont take any more of it. You know the town of Baychu... That was no accident with gunpowder, it was me... I was ordered to burn the town because the church though there where assassins there. So when they gave me a next order, I disobeyed... and they tried taking my head on the spot. Now I run..." Standing up he sighs again resting his left hand on the hilt of his sword reassuring himself. "I need a glass, have anything?"

"You feel guilt, which is a positive sign Liam." Dovu said putting a paw on his shoulder. "There is always opportunity to redeem yourself from your past, as long as you continue to have the courage to learn from it." He reached into a drawer and pulled out a flask and shook it to make sure there was something inside.

"Here." He said tossing it to Liam. "It could be water or it could be rum, Im not exactly sure." He looked over at the other assassins joining the room.

"Ah, about time. We're ready then. Remember, stick to the plan no matter what. If you think you are being followed, do not return to a den. Oh, Aurora, you will be needing these." He hands her the hallucinogenics. "Lets get moving. There wont be much of a population to blend into considering that it's midnight, so we will need a man or two to take the roof and kill any guards who become suspicious. We will be able to handle the ones on the ground while we protect Aurora. Who will take the roofs?"

Tohaku smiles and takes the bottle of sky blue. "This one. It matches your beauty." He looks to Liam, "I will hold the roof. I want to stay close to protect my team but my skills will be best up on higher ground. My darts never miss. Also....... I must make on demand." His face turns serious, "No assassin has permission to die this night. This includes you Liam. If anyone must fall tonight let it be me. Take no chances. If information cannot be grabbed safely within our time frame........then it's not worth it." He looks to his claws, "This night will tell the fate of this guild. We will spread and thrive......or fail and be wiped from Rome. Assassins know not how to fail. We refuse. This will be the night that we set fire to the skies of Rome and the assassins will return to power. We will halt this tyranny! We will force these monsters from our streets and free our people once more!!" His eyes are filled with passion and fury, "Let's take back what is ours."

Looking over at Tohaku they make eye contact and a smirk goes across his face. Oh, he's good. Was the only thing he though as he stood up ready to move. Looking at the flask in his hand he sighs and puts it in a hidden pocked within his armor. With a slight smile he turns facing Dovu, "And what is the ground teams approach?"

"Stick to the shadows. No unnecessary kills. Like Tohaku said, no casualties. If you do need to kill a guard, make it silently. The last thing we need is for the Templars to know we're coming."

Dovu pulled on a small assassin symbol in the wall next to the mantle piece. He then turned it, causing a bookcase to unlatch and swing open, revealing the tailor shop next door. He walked through the opening signaling the assassins to follow. He looked through the windows of the shop.

"I dont see any patrols on this street. Its a cloudy night too, its nearly pitch black out there. Tohaku, theres a flight of stairs and a ladder in the back of the shop that leads to the roof. You know what to do, you're our guardian angel."

Dovu unlatched the door and stepped out into the street, listening intently to any sounds traveling the night air. It was calm and still, but that was about to change. The tower peaked over the city in the distance, glowing subtly as the templars inside attended business.

"Sigueme! Quickly, while we have an opening, the next street appears to be clear of any guards."

Grabbing his cloak he quickly slips his arms through the long sleeves and dons the hood, hiding his plate mail. "Stealth is not my thing, but if we get in a situation, you can count on me." "Don't worry about me Liam." He said as he pats him on the shoulder, "Just keep my men alive and take down that bloody eyesore." He turns to walk up the stair. "May the shadows hold you and keep you safe my friends. Until our return." He walks up stairs and steps out onto the balcone and jumps to the roof. "Til the nights end." He jumps from roof to roof, scouting ahead as he goes. The streets are pretty empty, the guards being busy closer to the tower. He stands over the world below atop a smoke stack. He signals his team below to pull forward but keep low.

Dovu follows Tohaku's signals, keeping close to walls of the buildings. He comes up to an intersection of streets. He looks down both ways making sure the coast is clear. He sprints across quickly, signaling for the others to come. He looks down the alley and hears voices in the distance. Two male templars, about the age of 30, 50 yards away, judging by the sound of their voices. Most likely officers due to the nature of the conversation and formality. Dovu gets closer and sees them standing out in a courtyard, walking around a fountain.

Dovu whistles, signaling Tohaku to take care of business while he waits for the others behind him to catch up.

Tohaku raises his blow gun and aims quickly. He quickly fires two darts, meeting their targets perfectly in their throats. The poison works quickly as they quietly collapse and die. Tohaku signals the team to clear the bodies from the street. The tower quickly approaches as they make their way down the empty streets. He drops down and sits in the shadows. "The guards will be bringing some 'special' entertainment soon. Be in that group. From there it's on you to get with the target alone." He watches the streets as the entertainment begins to walk their way. "Lucky. They changed their route."

Dovu runs up to the bodies and throws one over his shoulder. A river near by offered  the perfect disposal for the corpse. He threw it in and watched as it sunk to the bottom. Then he came up with an idea.

"Liam, do you think you can blend in with that group of templars to infiltrate the tower?"

He grabs Liam's beard with his other paw and slices the blade centimeters from his face. He cuts it close enough to blend in with the rest of his fur.
"Think that will do?" He said stepping back.

Dovu walks forward to the next street. Up ahead he could see one of the city gate's leading to the graveyard. It was guarded by three Templars. Just a few yards away was the tower.
"Forget blending in with the group of guards Liam. Too risky, besides we are close. Take Aurora through the crypt entrance to get inside the tower. It will take you to a secret door of the mess hall inside. First we need to take out these guards. Liam you take the left, ill get the one on the right. Wait for our signal. Im going to join Tohaku on the roofs. Perhaps you can distract them with chatter and our lovely lady here, then we will strike them from above while you simultaneously kill your target. But remember, quietly."

He climbs up the side of a building to Tohaku.

"Hear that? You have the middle one. We can get into position there." Dovu pointed above the guards stationed at the gate to the top of the city wall. "Theres a way up over here."

Dovu jumped off the roof to a piece of wood used to uphold part of the wall being reconstructed. He climbed up the scaffoldings and got into position directly above the guards. He could see Liam, Aurora, and the other assassins.

Walking up to the corner of the wall he reaches grabbing his dagger holding it forward in his right hand. Peeking around the corner he sees the three Templar's standing in the grave yard talking idly over a tomb stone. Moving quickly, Zsasz exchanged his Doctor mask for a different mask depicting a harlequinn of sorts, then hefted the crossbow and shot a silenced grappling hook up to the top level. It landed softly, and after checking to make sure the line was taut, he slipped his other mask into his satchel, slung the bow over his back, and climbed right up the wall, leaping silently onto a nearby Templar guard and knocking the man out with a well-timed blow to the neck. Then, dragging the man into a corner, he took the helmet and cloak and put them on, slipping his own into the satchel, then took the man's sword and strapped it to his belt and shoved the man in a barrel.
[There,] he thought. [Now I can walk among them.]

Rylo had reached the Tower and ran jumped up on it climbing to the top window quietly, and snuck inside the open window into the Templar Captains quarters. It was empty, and had a desk with a map and acople scrolls, then a simple bed. Rylo walked to the door and stood beside it knowing the captain would come in in just seconds. Rylo counted in his mind. Up to 6 the door open with the Captain himself barging in. As he shuts the door behind him Rylo grabs him by the mouth with one arm and takes the sword from the captains sheeth with the other arm disarming him. Rylo throws the sword to the side and uses both arms to hold the captain from fighting. Covering his mouth so no1 would hear him scream. Rylo knee kicks the captains spine throwing him back, and drops him to the floor. Dovu walked to the crypt doors and pried them open with his tomahawk. The dust made him cough as the tomb sucked in fresh air and expelled the rotting smell of corpses.

"Ah, one second."

Dovu walks up to the side wall of the tomb and reaches his hand inside one of the niches for the corpses. He feels on the roof of it for a lever. He turns it after struggling with it for a few moments, causing the back wall to click a few times before a cracking noise reveals a split between two stone doors.

Dovu puts his paw on Liam shoulder.

"Fight wisely. I know you will take care."

He walked out of the tomb.

"Remember, we want as little attention possible until the flames and explosions start. See you two at the top."

He looks and nods at Aurora with a smile before he turns and walks off towards the tower above ground.

Looking at Aurora un phased by her perfume he only shakes his head. "Such a temptress you are." With that he turns facing the opening in the wall poking his head inside. Behind the wall he finds a storage room lined with barrels and chests of various sizes and looks. Some chests seemed to be heavily chained and locked while others have fallen apart with age. Stepping into the room he grabs a near by torch on the wall and brings it too a lit one. Once engulfed he holds it in front of him walking to the door at the end. Looking back he waits for Aurora to catch up before escorting her to the captains quarters.

Waiting he checks one last time making sure his attire is in order, once done he quickly pats down the fabrics parting between the plates making them as smooth as possible. "Seems like one yesterday I would be doing this every morning..." He said to himself with saddens in his tone.

"oh?"
aurora walks out gracefully and quietly in the skimpy uniform.....that does not include any chest covering
"damn, i hate this, how can they stand being almost naked when these towers keep the cold in! anyway, so what was it like to be a templar? she struggles with the collar, clicking it into place noting that it neither has a lock or a way to re open it "i should act drunk shouldn't I?"

Turning back around his eyes go wide sparking a reaction out of him. "Uhh..." he says taring his eyes from her. "Sorry... for staring. Reminds me of someone I know... Knew." With that he takes a deep breath composing himself. "Just act formal, don't look a Templar in the eye, don't speak unless spoken too, and here." Reaching in the hidden pocket of his uniform he pulls out a pendent of 5 stars centred by a cross dotted with diamonds. The symbol matches the one on his breast plate. A symbol of high stature only a handfull of people have ever archived. "Just attach it to your collar and most guards will think twice before touching you." With that he smirks and faces the door again breathing a sigh of sadness from past memory's. "When your ready..."

Zsasz walked past a group of guards and down a hallway toward the office that held the object that he was to retrieve. Still in his templar costume, he opened the door and stepped in... only to find the captain lying on the ground and a lizard and another man fighting and having fierce words with each other.
"What's going on here?" he said, feeling for the release on his hidden blade.

"Follow me Tohaku. Theres a climbable route up the south side of the tower." Dovu walks out of the graveyard and scales a wall to breach the defenses of the tower.

He sneaks up to the side of the tower and begins to climb it effortlessly, grasping on to bulging stones and windowsills.

Tohaku fallows close behind Dovu, his claws never missing a beat or slipping from its grip. His mind was racing with mixed feelings of the moments passed. His encounter with Liam, his kidnapping, the mission at hand, the woman who had caught his eye, and the proof he so dearly desired to clear his name.

aurora pins the pendant to her collar, and looks over her reflection in a puddle of water "ok, i'm ready"

"Follow me and stay at my heels, With that on you must only need to flash it to stop any unwanted hands." With that he pulls open the door bringing his torch into the dimly lit hallways. Once there he wonders in his head where he is when a familiar stench hits his face. "We are in the dungeon... We go left..." Once set on his path he starts walking at a brisk passe keeping his torch out in front of him. Soon they start passing empty cells.

As the pair comes to the door exiting the dungeons they walk into the foyer of the tower, passing through the elaborate archway and coming to the main part of the lower floor, they are stopped by a small company of grunts, guards of the lowest rank, these guards stop and salute, their leader, a lutinate bowed deeply and looked at you "may I ask as to where you hail from captian, forgive me for asking, but you do not seem familiar?"

Having retrieved the item - a large brass key - from the guard, Zsasz left before the other two assassins took notice of him and made his way to the dungeon, where he waited behind the corner from Aurora and Liam in case anything went wrong, and planned to join them afterwards.

As the guard addressed Liam and Aurora he held up his hand bringing her to a hault.  "I come from Falksreach to see your captain regarding your... Assassin problem."  With that he pats the hilt of his sword causing the guard to swallow and go a little stiff.  "Now ill be on my way, Come." He finished saying to Aurora trying to keep it convincing. As they passed by the guard he knew he looked back getting a whiff of Aurora. Smiling to himself he looked back at her once they turned a corner, knowing she did not like being so submissive. "I trust you did not scare him too much?" He said raising an eye brow.

She spoke quietly, putting the sweetest possible emphasis on the last word, making it drip with deadly sweet sarcasm.
