Title: Mass Effect: An Alternate Reality
Post by: Shapeshifter on September 26, 2012, 07:40:35 PM
The Citadel was as busy as ever as the purple Asari dressed in her white armor complete with head band walked along brisquely.

Like all Asari she was tall and slender with curves at all the right places. The wide open top of her armor didn't leave much to the imagination.
Her dark blue eyes scanned the crowd standing all around but she wasn't really interested in any of them.
There was only one person she wanted to see right now though she had only a vague lead on them.
Her fists clenched when thoughts of the day half of her family had died threatened to overwhelm her.
Supressing these feelings before they got out of control Kadara reached the lift and entered it with a Turian and a Krogan.

The Asari Justicar had been contacted by the Council's Asari yesterday and ordered to meet one of her colleagues today at the Docks. She had no idea why.

The Turian and Krogan were talking amongst themselves but the Asari didn't really listen to what they were saying.

*YAWN* Devan walked the same route as he always did in the morning, up and down the Docks, looking for trouble. Is this where I became Spectre for? Phaeston held lightly in his arms, other weapons strapped in his back armor, Devan scanned the light crowd for trouble. Nothing, of course. He passed another C-Sec officer. "Sir..." Devan nods back at the human, and walks on. If something just happened here...

Anderis moved silently through the ducts of the Docks, keeping his finger on the trigger of his Paladin. He Often patroled the ducts, it gave him a sense of clarity. He popped down to the floor, using his biotics to slow his dissent. He came out right behind a small tower of shipping containers, then scanned the crowd for...something. He didn't know what, but he was looking for it...

Kadara rolled her eyes when the men finally left the lift and she could ride the rest of the way to the Docks alone.
Leaving the vehicle she had her hand on her M-12 which was in some kind of harness at her side.

It was even busier down here and she wasn't able to see her contact right away. There were containers everywhere, all kinds of aliens around and it took a while until she spotted her fellow Justicar.

Slowly the purple Asari walked along in her white high-heeled boots which weren't audible due to all the noise here. With her eyes scanning this crowd as well she didn't see any other familiar faces.

Today was one of those days when memories wouldn't let her rest. Pictures of her mate and their two daughters who died on Omega flashed through her mind. As before she controlled her anger about her loss though none of her emotions were visible outwardly.

Suddenly, a mighty explosion filled the Docks. As Devan turned around, hecould see flames rise above the containers. The crowds panicked, and all ran away screaming. Devan, however, made his way forward, rifle now held tight in his hands, ready to fire at any moment. Small arms fire could be heard close to the blastzone, and he saw numerous humanoids making their way past him, many of them burned and bleeding. Well, stupid, you got what you asked for...

Haze had, at this time been cleaning his Advanced mech "Duty", a Mech around 21 feet bigger than an ATLAS, completly black with two large missle launchers held by its arms, and a strange weapon holsted on its shoulder, from the size of it it was like somone could crawl inside it and take control of the arms and other limbs directly from their own movmentsand cleaning the large, currently he heard about the conflicts sprouting around in alliance space,  He hadnt been deployed, Just yet, Still he was AWOL from Cerberus, Like many before him, but lossing DUTY and Haze himself had taken considerate drawbacks from Cerberus's Mech programs, He was ready, Primed and Loaded for bare, Haze was ready to strike at a momments notice... There was One itsy bitsy problem... Where to? He didnt have many contacts since he left Cerberus.. SO he was looking for work, Atleast to keep him busy, and halfly sane...

"Contact!!!"
"It's Cerberus!"
"Engage... Engage!!!"
Three C-sec officers are already at the scene as Devan arrives, blasting away with their pistols at numerous heavily armored humanoids. One of them raises from cover and opens fire on the uncovered humans. Two die immediately, penetrated by the rounds, as the third dives for cover. Devan raises his Phaeston Assault Rifle, and kills the shooter with a headshot. More armored Cerberus soldiers approach. As laserfire hits the metal  all around him, Devan quickly dives behind a crate for protection.
Come on! There has to be some kind of backup!!!

((My post is the last that counts! No explosions or anything except I say it... we are at the beginning. No Cerberus contact until the group is together, understood?))

*Meanwhile, a white armored Quarian with a fog-colored helmet visor walked cautiously down the rows of shipping containers. He knew no one on the Citadel, but he had heard that sometimes other Quarians made their way to the place during their Pilgramage. He had hoped on finding one of them, or at least someone friendly enough to help him. As he walked through the containers, he say two dangerous looking Asari approaching each other. He decided they weren't the best people to talk to, and continued towards the C-sec office, hoping they would help him find one of his people.*

Devan turned around and headed back to the C-sec office.  (Still think my first post was appropriate  ;) . Added and changed some parts. Will delete the others.)

Walking slowly to the blue Asari dressed in a red armor Kadara smiled at her old friend holding out her hand.

"It's good to see you again, Tiara. What is this all about?" the purple Justicar wanted to know.

"On Thessia rumors go around that Cerberus is on the move. You are ordered to find a team and try to stop them."

"A team? How am I about to do that and... how are we to get around IF I find one?" Kadara lifted a skeptical eyebrow.

"I was hoping you would ask that." They moved along the Dock a few steps. "This is for you."

Tiara lifted both arms motioning to a pretty sleek ship which could probably house 30 people and would need a crew of at least 5.

"About the team itself... I'm sure you have contacts able to help you form one." With that the other Asari turned on her heels.

Totally stumped Kadara stood there gazing at her new ride.

*Not far from the awestruck Asari, the White Quarian notices the ship and gazes in awe of its beauty. being Quarian, it was natural for him to admire nice ships.*

[Now is your chance to introduce your character to mine. Notice how he admires the ship. She needs a crew, and my character has a lot of free time on his hands. Also, the Spectre character can come and investigate the ship. Our characters can meet this way]

On his way back to his baracks, Devan noticed a newly arrived ship. Gazing at it, he almost walked into an asari leaving the area of the docked spaceship. "'Scuse me..." he quickly said.
The ship had a strange, sleek design, unlike any he had seen before or could remember to have seen. It looked brand new, just out of whatever spacedock it had been build, it's paint still fresh and undamaged. Was it Asari, or Salarian... Batarian maybe?

Well, if my rounds are done, Captain wouldn't mind me checking out this new ship...

He quietly walked closer to the ship.

a Krogan in all metallic gold ceremonial armor stands nezt to the statue of the the krgan near the presidium. his 150th birthday is today, though he had no one to celebrate it with. cerberus killed his family during tests to amplify the genophage.
as he makes his way back to the docks he sees a ship. a very fine ship. the krogan walks over to the C-Sec officers who are fueling it up and he asks them questions about it, in hopes to here the captains name in the convorsation, and in hopes to join the crew.

Still dumbfounded Kadara gazed at the ship admiring the design she had never seen before.

"What am I going to do," she asked herself quietly tapping her lip with a finger as she started walking her dark blue eyes scanning the vessel.

Now that her trance was over Kadara noticed several people looking at her ship; a Quarian, a C-Sec officer and a Krogan.

Quarians were known for their affinity for technology, she mused.

Hoping she could draw their attention to herself the Asari walked on looking like she was inspecting the ship from stem to stern.

The C-Sec officers the Krogan asked would point to the purple Asari dressed in white armor.

The Krogan sees the asari, and straight away notices her authority. he walks towards her with purpose in his stride. Once he reaches her, he stands tall and slightly fixes his posture like anyone should infront of the captain of such a fine ship.

"you in charge of this ship?"
he points to it
"because i want on."
