maybe a bit strange question. but I wonder what is your motivation or your goal in life?
do you life because you want to make a better world, do you life because you enjoy some things, or do you life because other people do love you? there is no wrong answer here ^_^ .

I look at life like a video game or book. If you end it before it's over, you never know how it ends. That's my motivation: to see where life takes me, and how everything works out. Like a Sherlock Holmes movie. I want to see how all the clues culminate in the catching of the bad guy. ^_^

I live to have fun, protect the ones i care about, and the enjoy all the awesome things life has to offer. i try to ignore most of the negative stuff in the world.

At this point, my main motivation would be my mate. I'm honestly not sure what would become of me if it weren't for him <3
Though as well I suppose the feeling of wanting to reach accomplishment is another point for me. I want to be successful in my future and reach my goals.

my meaning in life?
I was told from birth to age five, by my father, that i was stupid, worthless, and would never amount to anything, and abused every way possible
then i was put in fostercare, the adults could care less in the grouphomes, but my peers treated me as an outcast, called me stupid, ugly, weird, useless.
then the foster families, i was treated well, but noone cared about my dreams, my wishes, hopes, desires, fears, at scool it was stupid, ugly, weird, retarded, and unlikeable.
when my father insulted me, i laid down and took it, in fostercare i had developed the desires to be more than that, and by the time i was in the foster families, they were calling me stupid, yet i was in middle school, on a college reading level.
my drive in life?
most people live and die, leaving not the slightest idea fifty years later that they actually existed, other than a grave stone
I strive to watch them fade into the void of uneventful history, rise above their insults, and be immortalized by the very thing that made them fade from the memory of society,
i want to prove them all wrong.

I live to make something of myself, not money or fame, but to advance society in the discipline of science, to improve the way of life for society and do my part for my species.

I believe everything is finite and that there is no afterlife, and that's my motivation to live.

To see places I've never been, to know people I haven't met, and to explore to my hearts content ;) . I'm simply interested in seeing the colors in this world that so many try to make monochrome :P . If I can help others along the way then all the better ^_^ .

I don't really have any motivation. Lately everything that happens makes me not want to live. But I figure I might as well just live cuz if I die things can't get better for me.

My motivation to life is knowing that I don't know what I can achieve yet. Whether it is something great or not I want to achieve to as much as I can and to explore new things the world has to offer. I also look forward to things that I enjoy.

I live to live. As the days go by, I can feel them flying past me...
Personally I live in a world where things are real down to earth - I got a dead end job, have no relationship so far with a significant other...
But I live for one good reason - To live for the next day! You never know what surprises are going to await you the next day! What surprises and mysteries await!
And frankly, I'm a fan of mysteries. Its natural to fear the unknown, but I embrace it!
Oh, that and uh, friends, family that sort of stuff... that corny stuff.

There are two things that motivate me above all else: The desire to discover new things, gain new knowledge, see how the future pans out day by day, and the desire to benefit society, make new discoveries myself, and leave the world as good of a place as I can. I think we all have something unique to offer the world, and I want to be able to use my abilities and strengths to drive the world forward. There is so much to know and you can't know it all, but I want to know as much of it as I can by the time I die. (And on a darker note I also don't believe in an afterlife or anything, so I want to make the most of it while I'm here) ;)

I see life as an adventure. An adventure I plan to live out to its fullest. I may still be young, but I'm sailing my own ship, and I'm not looking for treasure. There's going to be dangers along these seas, but I just go where the water flows, and make the adventure of life a tale worth writing ^_^
Meet new people, do new things, try new foods, go new places, just live. Explore, discover, have fun with things. No need to be serious or tense or mean, because life is too short to be gloomy all day. Go run, say hi to the guy across the street, start a conversation with someone waiting in a line, enjoy yourself. Now I may be just 13, but this is how I plan on living life, as the adventure is my motivation. I can be so poor I live in a cardboard box, but as long as I have my own two feet, I'm never bored. I can and will make my life a happy one. You know you are happy when you don't need anything else. I could make do without a GF, a job, or anything else. Just my feet and my brain are all I need to get this ship sailing.

So you're a musician Byracka? Music is one of my most favorite things for inspiration, its easier to make people feel something with music than other art forms in my opinion. x)
My motivations in no particular order:
Religion: I want to learn all my life's lessons in this reincarnation and get it right.
My Boyfriend: I try very hard to make him happy, and he does the same for me. My ultimate goal in this aspect is to be able to afford our own place (Hopefully a house, but we'll take an apartment if its in a good part of town)
Good Doing: I want to leave the Earth a better place than when I came into it. I want to help people, animals, and the environment with my special talents (I don't know what they are yet though...)
And most of all...
Happiness: I just want to be happy and successful in life. Success in my life isn't being rich or famous, its just doing what I want to do, making good choices so i don't regret anything that I've done, and making my community better.

Hehe ^_^ Yes, music is a wonderful language spoken by everyone.
Even if you don't know your talents you can take shelter in the fact that you have wonderful goals for this life and that's really something!

I end every day with writing a list of things I want done when the sun goes up again. Learn this piece, meet that person, do that homework. Sometimes it's tough because the day can feel controlled, but by the end of it. Things get done, you improve yourself, never lets anyone down and when you finally take a day to relax, it feels so much better. :)

Haha, I used to do that, and I got a lot more done.
Its the discipline part that's hard, but I think I'll try to get that back on track. :3

I want to achieve something great. Something that would change the world. In a positive way, mind you (like Jonas Salk or something). I don't want to end up as a no-name person the moment I bite the dust. And that motivates me to continue learning and seeking knowledge despite the the sometimes overwhelming urge to just sit back and watch my world collapse.
Another thing that motivates me is my depression, because even though I'm getting better, I still remember what it felt like to think that there was absolutely no hope, and there was no point in living, and that motivates me to do whatever it takes to not go back to that state.

The alternative separates me from existence as I know it, which is terrifying. I live to find contentment and connection.
I don't believe life has any inherent meaning. It's about making meaning, as humans have tried to create or decode since pretty much forever.

To find someone I love and be happy but also to find my purpose in life. I want to change the world or at least leave my mark on it but most importantly: never lose who I am as a person

Never give up on anything, not life, not games, not love, not dreams, nothing!

I have dreams that i would love to reach, but i cant do that if i give up....
No one can....
So if its someone there, thats reading this and is thinking about giving up, dont!
Life has sooo many things to offer, if you just dont give up!
