Title: Star Wars: Vengeance
Post by: Luke White-Heart on July 16, 2012, 08:52:31 PM
The stars were cold in the sky. Twinkling from millions of miles away, they watched the universe indifferently. No one knew this better than Darth Fulgur. Years and years of strife had taught him that the stars provided no comfort for the weak.
He looked around at the nameless planet on which he had planted his base of operations. The dark forest was completely quiet; nothing stirred. Satisfied, Fulgur returned to his chambers. Closing the door to his balcony behind him, Fulgur removed a datapad from his cloak and skimmed the HoloNet. Nothing of interest. But he knew it was only a matter of time before the Dark Side gave him a sign; the sign to attack.
Unlike previous Sith, he believed that the Force was sentient, more than a tool and weapon. It was a guide, a prophet. He knew this better than most Jedi, and he knew that following the Force's will was key to the destruction of the Alliance.
The Dark Side made him strong.

the ship flew sliently through space, coming up on the planet the pilots masters were waiting on for news of his latest mission. he flew the ship down into the hanger next to two other ships. jumping out of the ship with his loose rag like clothing hiding most of his scales as he walked silently into the innner working of the base.

after a while he walked up behind his master "i have reterned master. what is your next mision for me?"

from within the shadows of the jungle out stepped a cloaked figure. whom ever it was, they were beyond quiet with their steps. it seamed as if they were gliding over the ground. there was no disturbance in the force. they scaled the outer edge of the building's wall and slipped through an open window. the room that was entered was small and barren, except of the bed and nightstand. the figure removed their cloak and there was a young woman benieth the folds of fabric. she folded the claok and placed it upon the corner of the bed, her bed. She slipped out of the room still silent as could be. The young woman stopped at the door to a nother room and pressed her ear against the door to hopefully hear what her master was talking about. Or even if she tried hard enough.. she might be able to tell what he was doing from the sounds coming from within the room. Master Fulgur... what are you doing.... she thought to her-self. what are you doing......

A choking sound could be heard echoing, but luckily no one was around to hear it. Emerald green eyes glow beneath a large rimmed hat as the life ebbed away from the man at her grasp. Once finished with her assassination, the black furred and grey spotted feline picks up the dead body. Her ears twitch to the sound of footsteps, but she just narrowly manages to escape with the body of the man she was told to hunt. It was a Jedi, sure, but she had no preference of who she worked for. Jumping into the waiting HLAF-500, she silently takes off into the atmosphere with her prize. Within fifteen minutes, she makes it to her targeted destination, dropping the body off the star fighter and jumping out of it herself. Flaring her nostrils and pushing her hat up just slightly, she pulls the beeping projector from her pocket to answer the one who'd hired her. "I have the body, like you asked. Do with it what you will, but give me my reward, or you'll end up like him." She hissed, picking up the dead body with one paw and tossing it onto the ground after showing them. The response is garbled and in another language, but she understands clearly and switches it off, crushing it and tossing it to the side. "Now let's get this over with." She grinned, pulling her hat back down. Picking up the body, she conceals the HLAF-500 and walks off into the woods.

"Master Razot!!! Master!!! Master Razot?!?" Caldif ran through the empty hallways of the Jedi Temple, searching for the Grand Master. He had news, terrible news. He had just received it from a contact in the Smuggling Circuit. One of their brothers, Jedi knight Teryo, had gone missing. And when a Jedi knight went missing, he was often a) dead, or b) fallen to the dark sight. Caldif didn't know which of the two was worse. He just knew that he had to get the news to Grand Master Razot as fast as he could. "Master?!? Master Razot?!?"

Master Razot was not in a good place... Mentally...
His meditation was dark and clouded and filled with pain and anger. His recent meditations had given him unusual warnings, each becoming darker every day.
A disturbance in the force?

Razot was roused from his meditation, the artificial light of his meditation chamber hitting his eyes harder than usual.
Stumbling out into the hallway where his name was being beckoned, he found his lightsaber still tightly grasped in his hand, a slight headache coming on...

"Yes?" He replied calmly into the hopeful void, grasping onto the door frame as he holstered his lightsaber with his free paw.

"Okay.... Careful..."
Thatch looked at the engine interface. "Alright... and cut the engines... now!" Moving quickly, he turned off the engince while switching on Slave 1's  hoverjets.  The cat-like being smiled.
"Perfect," he said as he landed the ship with ease. Unbuckling his straps, the Jedi Padawan walked down the platform in his robes, having taken off his armor before he got anywhere near Corusant. He nodded to one of the deck attendants, then headed for the Jedi Temple. As he walked, he practiced clearing his mind, one hand on his lightsaber. He felt a peace come over his mind as he turned one of the corners of the Jedi Temple...
And crashed into a frantic Jedi coming from the other directon.
"OOF!" Thatch said, falling to the ground. He looked at the Jedi, who just continued down the hall.
"That can't be good," he said to himself, running after the eccentric Jedi with worry gripping his heart in its icy claws.

Riding on his speeder across the desolate plains of Tatooine was about the only way Leoma could find some fun on this planet, while he waited for a Jedi to contact him for another job of some sort.
Leoma came up on the local town, seeing if he could hustle some idiots for republic credits.
He slowed his speed, seeing as his way into town was blocked. He pulled up and faced a side of his speeder at the ones blocking his way.
The local thugs blocked his way. The leader of the group stepped up first. "I'll get straight to the point Leoma... Leave now and we won't shoot." Yelled the leader from a small distance.
"Isn't it usually the other way around?" Leoma yelled back
"Not this time, since we have you out numbered..." Leoma, only laughed, and slowly pressed a button on his speeder, opening a panel, and a grenade fired and blowing away more than half the thugs around the leader, who only stood there mouth gapping.... and then dropped his gun raising his hands. Leoma drove up to the leader and said, "Your sure?" and drove into town to the local Tavern.

(Sorry for the wait.  I'm still new to Star Wars...  *Licks Cifero* Thanks for defending me.  :)

Small note: If this hits "That's canon kill!", please tell me...)

Vesi crouched in the trees, watching curiously, and quietly, over the nearby trees.  Her mistress had ventured out not too long before, off to a mission deep in the trees.  It'd already been two hours since they'd hit pay dirt.

Her mistress, an older she-wolf, had taken her out on a reconisance mission on a Jedi base not too far out.  The Jedi had set base deep in the forest of the planet, careful to keep transmissions and supply ships low key.  It was very well hidden too.  Much of the base was sheltered in a deep, high cave in the cliff nearby.  The trees his the opening from unsuspecting eyes.

Vesi repositioned herself, looking into the cave through the branches.  She sighed dejectedly.  Her mistress had told her to observe for the time being.  She was too conspicuous, sticking out awkwardly with her rather nervous temperment in crouded areas.  She'd be ten times worse in a Jedi base.

She noted that there seemed a fair amount of activity in the base, though it could have been anything.  Her mistress had said Jedi were notoriously easily spooked.  Like rabbits.

Darth Fulgur turned to his newest Initiate with a satisfied smile across his muzzle.
"So eager, Serpington. Soon, young one, soon," he says. Pausing, he paced the room.
"You have done well, Serpington. Your full induction into the Order is almost complete, but now, we must journey to the Core. Darth Radel, you, and I. We have some important business...with the Jedi. The Force has given me a vision of the Jedi Temple, and we are going to find out why."
Darth Fulgur smirks and looks at the door. "You may enter, my apprentice."

"Master Razot! Finally!" Caldif skids to a halt and turns towards the Grand Master. "Jedi Knight Teryo is missing master. He didn't call in last night, and neither did this morning... Also, I sensed... darkness... A lot, and increasing. I... I fear Tyro is dead or... turned to the dark side..." He looks expectantly at the Grand master. "What do you think master? What should we do?"

Warren's headache was somewhat pounding though his eyes were once again adjusting to the light from outside. He reached for support from Caldif's shoulder and steadied himself as the humid air warmed him up. Warren felt cold.

"I want you to investigate his last known location... I feel a disturbance in the force... I'm coming with you," he said breathing heavily as he stabilised himself. "I have a feeling Teryo is in grave danger... Go get ready"

Having dropped the body of the dead Jedi off and collected her reward, she quickly makes her way back to the waiting HLAF-500. Making sure to stay out of sight, she jumps over some fallen trees(?) and pauses. She could sense that someone had been following her. It takes her a few moments, but she throws them off her tail and jumps into the star fighter, silently taking off and heading back to her concealed home.

"Yes master." He lets go of the Grand Master. "Should we take any of the other knights with us? We might need more help." He looks behind him and notices padawan Thatch standing there. He isn't quite sure if the padawan had heard the conversation, or if he should hear what was said.

Dovu walked alone through the library of the Jedi Temple. He pulled back the sleeve of his robe and looked at his com-device that was beeping.
"Master, what can I do for you?"
"Just checking in, how are things at the temple?" He asked.
"Quite." Dovu answered.
"When was the last time you meditated?"
Dovu thought about what he should say. He had been procrastinating and skipping his meditation sessions. However he knew better than to lie.
"I havent since ive arrived master."
"Dovu, I know you dont like to do it, but its important. You will never become a Jedi Knight without it. Ive given you this lecture a thousand times, im not going to waste my breath anymore." He grunted with frustration. "Anyway, theres been strong disturbances in the force."
"Ive felt them too." Dovu said.
"Rumor has it a Jedi Knight by the name of Teryo has gone missing. You know what this means. I want you to investigate."
"Yes master, consider him found." The transmission ended, and Dovu exited the library to find some sources to talk to about Teryo.

"as you wish master." serpington turned and left through another door. walking back out to the hanger and tending to the three crafts in the corner he had set as his living quaters, mostly clutered with parts of ships, droids, weapons and explosives. a small bettle like droid comes to life as he aproaches, scuttling out of the way quickly as the canister under it slowly opens.
inside the canister are his trophes, a few padawan braids, some rings, two halfs of a lightsabre mounted to show where his own had sliced through it and a few other trinkets and bones from his other victoms, adding a ring to the collection as the bug climbs up onto his shoulder. "soon. we will crush the jedi and return home. my banishment will be over by then, or i can end it myself if need be."

Warren started towards the med-bay on the way to his quarters, taking the letter from Caldif and dismissing him as he continued. the ancient stone corridors melted past him as most of his movement was a blur. Fair enough to say that it was slowly getting better, though he could hardly remember how he got to the med-bay once he got there.

"Welcome Master Warren" the medical droid said as it scanned him and proceeded to inject a mild pain killer and inspect the inner fibres of Warren's brain.
"This seems to be the worst one so far. If this persists I fear it will result in brain damage"

"But the cause?" Waren said, gaining back his vision as his headache slowly waned away to a soft throb.

"The cause is still unknown, though I am detecting unusual behaviour with the medichloreans in your blood stream..."

"The force is killing me?"

"Perhaps. I've uploaded all data onto you ship's bacta tank computer. If it gets bad, the computer should manage it a lot better now"

"Thank you" Warren said as he stood up and moved to the door, the world seeming more solid and he found the letter given to him somehow still in his hand.

"Force be with you," the medical droid said.
"Or rather good luck"

Dovu walked past one of the meditation temples, trying not to think about it. However the guilt became too much, and he decided head inside. He knew his master was right, it was necessary to rise through the ranks of the Jedi. He took off some pieces of armor and sat down comfortably. He cleared his thoughts, and listened to his subconscious. This was the part he had the most trouble with, blocking out his subconscious thoughts so he can think clearly. However this time was different, he heard the voice in his head fall silent. It started to scare him, but he kept focused. It was so quiet...
"Teryo! Where are you?!" Someone shouted. It was a vision, he couldnt believe it. However he had to keep his feelings out, and listen.
Suddenly a silhouette of a man appeared in his mind. The shadows faded, revealing a Master Jedi. Dovu had never seen him before in his life, but somehow he knew who he was. Master Warren. Then everything faded, and he could hear his own thoughts again.
He opened his eyes and thought for a minute, staring at the wall. He took a deep breath, then put his light armor back on and headed outside to find this Master Warren.

"yes master" Darth Radel  bows and hurries up to her room and grabs her pepacked bag.  in her haste she fumbled and let her presence be felt. it was heavy, filled with unquenchable hatred and malice. She quickly forced it back under raps but she cursed her self at her stupidity. this was not going to go over well with her master... or the Jedi. she walked over to the window looked out for a brief second then walked out of her room with the bag in hand.
in a few minuets she was near the training room. she crouched low and snuck through the door her bag hovering precariously over her head. her concentration slipped and it came crashing down on her head and she accidently let out a curse.

Darth Fulgur chuckled at his apprentice.
"Very good, Lady Radel. I'm sure no one heard that. Come, your training must begin beofre we depart."
He turned, gazing at his apprentice with glowing yellow eyes. Lowering himself into a cross legged position, he began to speak.
"Force powers manifest themselves in a myriad of ways. Telekinesis is one of the crudest forms of power. But to those select few, those born with a true understanding of the Force like you and I, the Force is the gateway to power unimagineable. Imagine, holding an enemy's mind in your paws, able to twist it, fool it, drive it insane, inflict pain, all with a thought. Sith Sorcery is the secret to all of that and more. The most common Sorcery ability is lightning, but as i've already taught you that, we shall move on to a more advanced ability: creating illusions. Imagine the Force as a veil..."

Later...

With the training completed, Fulgur retired to his quarters to study the layout of the Temple he had commissioned Serpington to steal. The Hall of Holocrons was located in one of it's lowest levels.
"There lies my prize...the holocrons of Sith Lords past... Soon they shall be mine...and the Jedi will be non the wiser."

After being dismissed, Caldif walks off towards his room. He is not sure if they should let the young Thatch come with them... That is why he hadn't given a clear answer to the young padawan about if he should or could come with them on the mission... They might need more Jedi for this quest, but still, secrecy might be the better approach... Might, might, might... Nothing was sure anymore in these dark times... The Darkness was increasing, making the use of the Force harder than it ever had been before... Anyway, it was up to the Grand Master to make a decision about who should or shouldn't go with them...
Are the Sith behind this all, he suddenly wondered. There had been sightings of them the past few years, ranging from the Outer Rim to the Core worlds. Secretly, he wanted to meet one of these... fallen Jedi. It was something the Order hadn't learned him about, only that they were bad and should be exterminated on sight: capture had proven impossible. He wanted to know why, how, and every other question there was to ask about the Sith Lords. But he wasn't allowed to see the Holocrons about the ancient Sith, that were situated in the Hall of Holocrons.
Deep in thought, Caldif reached his room and entered, sat down on his bed and started meditating. He might get some answers this time... The Grand Master would call him if he had made his decision about the search... He let himself drift away on the shifting currents of the Force.

Warren saved the letter from Thatch for until he got back to his chambers.
Sitting down at his desk, his headache gone, he examined the letter.
"It's been a while since I've gotten one of these" he thought to himself, "usually just transmit messages over the holo-net"

Warren adjusted himself to read the message under the light of the computerised wall panel that allowed him access to information from all over the galaxy. One of his ideas, though he doesn't take credit for it.

Opening the letter, he could tell it was probably from Yavin 4 and the Jedi temple there.
It read this:
Quote
Grand Master Warren

I have sent over at your request a new padawan learner to learn by your side.

We have high hopes from him, particularly so that we believe that he is right for you.

Thatch's background should be on the Jedi Database by the time you are reading this though I would like to point out that he is a long descendant of  Bobba Fett and is in possession of the various belongings of the legendary Bounty Hunter, including the ship Slave 1.

We hope to hear great things of him

Master An'Drak Keel
Yavin 4

"Well this will be interesting" Warren thought before beckoning to a passing Jedi who was roaming past his doorway
"Bring me Thatch and Caldif"

Warren started researching the two on his wall pannel.

Dark clouds gathering above the Jedi Temple... Dead and wounded men and women everywhere... An dead Jedi Knight, lying in a pool of dryed blood in some darkened room... Is it...???
With a start, Caldif returns from his meditating trance to reallity. Someone is knocking on the door. "Sir???" he stumbles out of bed and gives a command to the door, which slides open noiselessy. A young Jedi stands in the hallway. Caldif recognizes her. Lairya... yes, Lairya, Jedi Knight Lairya, that was her name. She is one of the Librarians, one of the keepers of the Holocrons, and every piece of information and evidence the Jedi had collected since the New Jedi Temple. "Grand Master Razot has called for you." He smiles at her. "Thanks for letting me know." He grabs his lightsaber and a second cape and leaves his room, which closes automatically behind him. Instead of leaving, Lairya walks with him for a bit.
"Is it true you are going on a quest with the Grand Master?"
"So it seems..."
"Where are you going???"
Caldif smiles. The Librarian types are always searching for information. "I... don't think I'm allowed to say that... Sorry, you will have to ask the Grand Master."
She smiles sadly and walks off, looking like she suddenly remembers something. "Where are you going?" Caldif asks, confused.
"Razot had asked for another Jedi to be brought to him."
"Who?"
"Padawan Tatch."
"Ah... Okay, good luck!" So, Thatch IS in fact going with them... Ah well, it's the Grand Masters choice.
Caldif quickly makes his way towards the Command-Centre, where Grand Master Razot will probably be.

Thatch looked up as the Knight from before walked into the area, along with another Jedi who he did not know. Standing up, he walked over to them and met them halfway, bowing in respect. "Greetings, Knights," he asked, glancing between Caldif and the mystery Jedi. "May I ask why you came here?"

Bright green eyes shone in the dim light of the lamp, writing down her latest kill. "Jedi knight Teryo, terminated. Job complete." She says with a light hiss after writing down the date of her kill. Switching off her automated notebook, she stands and walks to the next room, locking up her office. She places the hat she wears on the couch, stretching out and just relaxing. Time. She had enough of it before having to go off and kill one of the Sith this time. Rest was what she needed for the time being. Until then, the Sith she would be able to live for a while longer.

Now THAT's a coincidence... "Thatch! We were just looking for you! This is Lairya, one of the Librarians guarding the databanks of the Jedi. She was actually the one searching you."
Lairya smiles at Thattch. "Yes, Grand Master Razot is searching for you, young Padawan. He wants you to meet him in the Command Centre. You and Knight Caldif."
She turns to Caldif. "I hope to speak with you again after your... quest? Is that the right word? Anyway, I have to do some more research in the Library about the Clone Wars. Still searching the fate of three more Jedi Knights, probably murdered under Order 66. See ya!"
She nods friendly towards Thatch before heading off.
"Well Thatch, now we both have to meet with Razot at the Command Centre, shall we walk together?" Caldif says, as he starts down the long hallway to the centre of the Temple, lined with statues of long forgotten Jedi Masters.

Walking down the hallway, Caldif thought it better to learn something about the Padawan that would accompany them on the mission. "So... you're not from around here, are you? You only recently joined us here, but you do already now quite a lot of ways to use the Force. You are stronger than most beginning Padawans..."

Early the next morning...

Darth Fulgur roused himself from his meditation. He had forgone sleep ages ago; when one had the power of the Force, one did not need sleep. Stepping outside onto the balcony, he watched the twin suns rise over the forest. It was a glorious sight. He stood in admiration for a moment longer, then turned back to his chambers. Throwing on his black tunic and pants, he carried his robe and a satchel of civilian clothes down to the hangar. In a few short days, they would arrive at Coruscant, the Galactic Capital for millenia. Soon, he thought, the secrets of the ancient Sith will be mine...and the Jedi shall tremble bfore the might of the Sith once again!
There was a sense of forebodeing in the future, as if the events of the trip would be more than he thought...as if... But he put the thought out of his mind and concentrated on preparing the shuttle. Fulgur had never been one for machinery of any kind, but he knew enough to go over diagnostics. And, of course, he had his personal assistance droid, A6-C5. The Fellowship was nothing overly conspicuos. Just a simple transport shuttle for any modern traveling family. But, his party wouldn't need it to be.
When the preparations were complete, Fulgur sat on the loading ramp and began to meditate, peering into the future....

Over hearing two Jedi talking in the hallway, Dovu turned back to look at them. Another Jedi Padawan sent to the same location....this was no coincidence.
"Excuse me...I'm new here as well. I was sent here by my master to investigate the fate of Jedi Knight Teryo. Perhaps you're here for the same reason as I am. Can you point me to who's in charge so I can get a proper assignment?"
Dovu bowed. "Forgive me. My name is Dovu. I am a Padawan as well."

You only recently joined us here, but you do already now quite a lot of ways to use the Force. You are stronger than most beginning Padawans..."
Thatch looked up at Caldif. "Well, I suppose you can thank my teacher for instructing me in the ways of the Force... not many Padawans are trained on Yavin 4 these days, since the temple here was made available again." He glanced out the window briefly, admiring the cityscape. "I actually was trying to come here, but the ship ran out of fuel and I had to stop on Yavin. The Grand Master there offered to tutor me in some of the Force's basic knowledge." He looked back at Caldif. "Surprisingly enough, I find the Force quite easy to use, despite only finding out I was force sensitive three years ago. It just takes some understanding and a basic knowledge, I suppose... and a good teacher, of course. Anyway, he sent me here to continue my training." He shrugged. "Is there anything else you'd like to know, or is..."
Thatch looked over at the Padawan who had addressed them. "Um... we were just going to see him, in fact," he said, flicking his tail. "You're welcome to join us."

The Force has a meaning for everything... "Dovu, you said? You arrived new as well? Have you met Grand Master Razot yet? He would like to meet you!"
Caldif turns back to Thatch. "Yavin 4, huh? Beautiful planet! Lots of ancient temples there, I remember. How is the Master theredoing? I met him on one of my assignments. And, I don't want to be rude or anything, the ship you arrived with, is it really the... Slave 1???"

Vesi headed back to the ship with her mistress.  Following that lead had led nowhere, even when they'd thought they'd spotted a Jedi on a mission.  She'd been so CLOSE!  Of course that leopard had sensed her.  Now, almost an hour walk later, her mistress took to the air with her, not saying a word in irritance.  Vesi'd be in for it soon...

Her mistress turned on the communicater to speak to her dispatcher.  "Darth Rusinga reporting in to Darth Fulger.  We have the report for the small Jedi camp."

Awakening from her rest, she instantly felt paranoid. Brilliant green eyes scan the room as she stands, walking through her home at a crouch. Hissing softly once everything was clear, she grabs her gear and heads out to the town. She would gather a few mech parts and then go on her next hired job. She meets with a couple of other bounty hunters that she sometimes has to clean up after or work with on more than one occaision. Now they had something important she needed, and would most likely kill them if they tried to haggle up the price.

Darth Fulgur decided to leave his apprentice to find her own way to Coruscant. His companions knew the plan, and he trusted them to know where to be and when: the Senate Distrcit, only a few kliks from the Jedi Temple's location. During the long jump to Coruscant, he set the auto-pilot and began to meditate, letting the Dark side flow through him, enveloping him in it's darkness.
*A long hyperspace jump later...*

Coruscant filled the transparasteel viewport of the cockpit, growing larger in view. Fulgur set a course for the Senate District's local hangar bay, then went back to the cargo hold to change into his nobleman's disguise. A great sense of excitment filled him, and he knew that soon, the secrets of the ancient Sith would be his.

Having gotten away with the mech parts, she has left the other bounty hunters before a scuffle had broken out mong them. It seemed like anyone was willing to kill for these parts. She'd met little resistance on the way out, which was probably best do the whole meeting of bounty hunters. Stepping back into her home, she places the mech parts on a self along with various other prizes claimed. Now, it was time to go find and kill this Sith ad claim a reward for the job. Making her way to the star fighter, she pauses for a second, but jumps in and heads to Coruscant.

"Yes Master..."
The hangar is in the Northern part of the Temple, and filled with personal and Republic owned starfighter, freighters and small transport ships. Caldif's personal freighter, the 'Hawkeye Stardiver', is being readied by the ground personnel in advance. "Grand Master, if it's alright with you, I would like to use my own spacefreighter. It is adequately weaponized, having a carbonized protonbeam, an torpedo launchbay, and three laser-turrets, and has far better armor and shields than any others in his class. It can stand it's own against a modern corvette, possibly even a eldery Stardestroyer."

The signal from Serpington was not unexpected, but welcome. He sent a quick reply to him confirming reciept of the message and telling Serpington to proceed to the Temple. Sending a similar message to his apprentice.

Darth Fulgur's diguise was simple, but beneath it, he was lightly armored, his lightsaber on a mechanism attatched to his forearm designed to move the saber into his hand should he need it. Checking his supplies, he proceeded to signal for an aircab, and ordered the driver to the Jedi Temple.

The ride was short, but to him, it felt like hours. Even though the temple remained in veiw the entire time, it never seemed to get any closer. Finally, the cab touches down before a visitor's entrance. There was already a queue of people to get inside, but Fulgur knew he must take an alternate route. Knowing Serpington would meet him inside, he slipped into the shadows.

The halls were grand, but in a simple way. He knew that the Temple had consisted of five towers over a thousand years ago, but sometime during Luke Skywalker's reign as Grand master, some tragedy had occured, causing a rebuild of the temple into the pyramid. As he walked the hall, he tried his best to appear as a scholar, concealing his dark aura. The halls were quiet, and he knew he would not fail. He was an agent of the Force.

Darth Fulgur made his way to the Library, keeping his Force aura concealed, but making no attempt to hide his physical being. To any students that passed, he was nothing more than a scholar from a distant world. He did nothing to appear conspicuous, so he felt safe.

Once he arrived in the library, he checked his comlink again. The Trandoshans he had payed off before had finished their job. The charges were set. Once he found Serpington, they would make their way to the Vault...after causing a suitable distraction, of course.

Fulgur sent a message to Serpington, letting him know he was in the Library and was waiting for him.

Then he felt it as it rippled his spine and he collapsed to the ground, his headache attacking him now, stronger than ever.

Warren yelled in pain as piecing noises shook his ears, making them ring and his body went chill.

There was just the question: What in name of the Force was going on??? "We might not know for sure, but this reeks to Sith-play. I might be wrong, but I sense there are Sith here..." Finally, he found it. A shell of Force energy, surrounding an entire section of the Library. He moved over to it, drawing on the Force.
"Serpington, get down here," he called. With a surge of power and a flash of lightning, he blew through the barrier. The entrance to the Vault appeared out of thin air, and Darth Fulgur smirked.

In the center of the room was an alcove, dotted with the red pyramids of the Sith Holocrons. He could feel the power in the room; the knowledge of thousands of Jedi and Sith alike. And it would all be his. He moved forward slowly, savoring his victory.

He could feel the cloying presence of a Jedi approaching, racing down the stairs toward him. He decided to let the Jedi think he had caught him unawares...then kill him. Leaving the Holocrons for the moment, he leapt into the rafters of the low ceiling, then used the Force to create an illusion of himself where he had just been standing. He gripped his lightsaber tightly, waiting.

Thatch smiled. "Then you will escape." Suddenly, he kicked Serpington in the head and threw Caldif back. "Go save the younglings," he said. "I'll save your girlfriend." Wincing, he forced himself through the barrier using the force, then ran into the holocron room. He glanced back. "We shall meet again... Sith." With those words, he ran in, his senses at full function.

"She is NOT my... oh, never mind,,," Caldif quickly runs past the Vault, which is by a lost Force technique, sealed of by a wall of pure power. The droid is there, and so are the younglings. Caldif throws his lightsaber with a mighty Force blow at the heavily armed droid, hoping to catch it off guard.

Meanwhile...
Lairya walked down the stairs towards the Holocron Vault and the Sith inside. She is a bit scared, but also knows she is a good swordfighter and Force user. This was HER territorium. "Leave this place, Sith."

As he saw the librarian enter, he sensed a strong emotional conecction to...someone, closeby. Darth Fulgur decided to keep her away as leverage against the Jedi, crude, perhaps, but he needed a way out of here. So, using a Force suggestion from his perch, he put her to sleep and hauled her into the rafters. Suddenly, he heard footsteps, loud and hurried, coming down the stairs. He grinned maliciously as the armored Jedi ran in, lightsaber in hand, yelling at the apparition he had created.
As the Jedi leapt at the illusion, Darth Fulgur dropped down, lightsaber ignited, and sent a bolt of lightning at the Jedi.

Darth Fulgur used the forward momentum to roll to a safe distance, then spun to face the Jedi. "Perhaps you Jedi aren't as weak as i thought." He flourished his lightsaber intracately, then took his ready stance. "Still weak, though." Fulgur lunged at the Jedi, weaving his crimson blade in a basket of slashes and stabs. He used a basic form to lure the Jedi into a false sense of security, allowing his concentration to be focused on a complex Force technique known as a "Force storm" to be unleashed later.

Darth Fulgur could tell this Jedi was skilled...but arrogant, as were all Jedi. He started to make his blocks and attacks more sluggish, less responsive, showing no finese, only a base survival fighting. Putting on the facade physiaclly and through the Force that he was growing tired. He let the Jedi disarm him, then fell to one knee. "Kill me then, Jedi."

It was then that he felt a disturbance in the Force....
"Caldif," he breathed, realizing the danger that the Jedi was in. He glanced down at the other man. "This isn't over, sir... but I am not the one to destroy you." Using the force, he grabbed the most important-looking Holocrons he could see, snatched up Lairya, and dashed away, slipping the Holocron into aenergy-and-crash proof case right before he forced himself and Lairya through the barrier. Slowly, Darth Fulgur rose to his feet, his rage boiling inside him. He had to teach that Jedi a lesson, one that he soon wouldn't forget. He took the remaining Sith Holocrons and raced back up the passageway, lightsaber in hand. He burst through the barrier and saw the Jedi attempting to rouse the girl. Without hesitation, he grabbed the Jedi in a Force grip tight enough to crack some ribs and flung him into a wall with tremendous force. He grabbed the dropped case, the librarian, and dashed out of the library, trying to find Serpington in the Force. He used his comlink to signal his ship's computer to make it's way to the Temple as fast as possible. He then sent a message to Serpington to send him his location. When he received it, he made his way there as fast as possible.

The sight that met Darth Fulgur's eyes was one that made proud of Serpington. Another Jedi stood some distance away, fists clenched and shaking, a look of pain and hatred contorting his features.Fulgur suddenly realized that he was the source of the intense hate he was feeling. Guessing at Serpington's play, he said "Very good, Jedi Serpington. The Grand Master will be pleased that you are carrying out your mission so well. Darth Fulgur was impressed at the Jedi. His choice of Form, his bravery, and the river of Force energy he felt flowing through the young Jedi. This Jedi is powerful, he thought. He shows promise...if he can be turned, he would be a great asset to the Sith. He ignited his lightsaber and held it up, falling into his secondary form of Form VI, Niman. Building his energy for a Sith spell, he moved forward calmly, prepared to defend.

Darh Fulgur defended himself, mostly dodging and redirecting. He knew they were testing each other, but, while his lightsaber skills were excellent, they were not his focus. Darth Fulgur was not surprised by the Jeid's advance. The Force was flowing through him like a flood. Switching to Form III, he went on the defensive, blocking and diverting attacks, occasionally loosing lightning attacks his way. He knew he could destroy this Jedi with a thought, but he was testing him, seeing how far he would go to acheive his goal. Suddenly, Darth Fulgur knew he had to be turned to the dark side; such strength could not be wasted with the Jedi. He sent an impression to Serpington, occupied as he was, to fool the Jedi he was fighting into destroying the pillar shielding the librarian from view. This Jedi would be HIS!

The Sith was retreating. Caldif smelled victory, but he was cautious. A Sith was untrustworthy, and a master in faking. This Jedi is good, Darth Fulgur thought. As soon as he had gone on the defensive, the Jedi was on him, slashing and stabbing at every part of the Sith's body. Fulgur knew he could defend, but not for much longer. He had to either end the fight, killing the Jedi....or swing the fight back to HIS terms. He signaled Serpington to retreat to the ship with as many younglings as possible, then, without warning, he blasted the Jedi into a wall, then used the Force to cause the ceiling to fracture and fall. Dust billowed everywhere, rubble fell indiscrimanently. Quickly, Fulgur used the Force tocreate a bubble around himself, and the Jedi he fought.

Serpington shifted at the last second, the jedi's sabre glancing along the side of his leg, catching the punch in the gut as his sabre tip slid along the jedi's throat, leaving. A long burn that was millimeters from lethal. Darth falgur's message was ignored as serpington got back up after being flung back, cero not being able to explode after all the kids run at the Jedi as he git up. Serpington hissed softly as his anger took over and he drew all four lightsabers, connecting the hilts to form two duel-bladed lightsabres instead of four singles. His pain was forgoten as he ran at the Jedi, mouth reaching to rip his throat out and two of the sabre points aimed for his armoured chest as he lept, force pushing himself forward faster.

Thatch almost cried out as the saber slashed across his throat painfully, knowing that it would be foolish to combat this man without more proper training... but he was free, and that was at least something.
Moving quickly, he ran into the midst of the group of younglings and put up a strong Force-shield. "Stay close to me!" he told them. Warren reattempted slicing the panel, ripping it off... haste and worry... not good.
He evaluated the situation as he was going.
two Sith Lords in the archives, stopped by two jedi, librarian and younglings being held hostage.
He could feel the pain of Caldif as he turned to the darkside. Glimpsing again on the video feed he saw the one Sith Lord being almost beaten by Caldif who was being fueled by his anger. A Glimpse at the next monitor, he could see Thatch in a heated fight with the other Sith Lord.

The door panel beeped with failure...
"DAMNIT" Warren screamed
"use the force?" he thought, keeping his condition in mind "there is no choice"

Warren stepped back a few meters from the door and closed his eyes. He felt the force flow around him and concentrated it around him, then around the door. He could feel the mechanisms of the door. they were specificity designed not to be manipulated in this manner, otherwise the idea of an emergency anti-jedi blast door would be pointless. But with that, he broke the mechanism that held the door closed and it slid open.

Warren ran towards where he saw Caldif fighting...

Caldif's attacks became even stronger as the Force grew and grew inside him.  But still, the Sith Lord was able to defend himself, blocking and dodging every single attack and not falling for the many feints Caldif used as well. He barely noticed the bubble of the Force around them, the fight going on between Serpington and Thatch, the scared younglings, or the Grand Master, running towards them. He only had eyes for his enemy. And one single thought crossed his mind: I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Squaring off against the Grand Master, he ignited his lightsaber, it's bright red glow casting a crimson glare on his surroundings.

serpington rolled out of the trip, happily using the jedi on his shoulder to cushion the floor as he rolled. running he made it out of the temple without to much more attention. he looked up in time to see cero taking off and turning the fighter around, firing on the jedi ships docked around his masters transport. he dumped the unconcious jedi in the cargo hold of the stealth fighter cero had hidden before he arived. "damn jedi scum." he murrmered to himself carefully sitting in the cockpit and rubbing ointment on his burns, numbing his leg and back before taking off.

Darth Fulgur could sense the wave coming, but he could do nothing to stop it. Thinking quickly, he used the Force leap back just as the wave reached him. He flew back, altering his angle at just the right moment to land with his hind-paws against the wall, then pushed off, aiming at the Grand master, and bringing his lightsaber to bear, slashing down as he approached.

Warren lept at Darth Fulgur, letting his blade catch the Sith's, forcing the sabers to the side before turning his own off, resulting in Fulgur hopefully throwing him off balance as Warren is able to spin to keep his own balance and force push him.

Darth Fulgur kept his composure, grabbing hold of the Warren and spinning in midair, throwing him to the ground.

Warren quickly recovered (like a power ranger :P) and readied himself.
"who are you and why are you here" he said in a calm voice, disguising the touch of exhaustion as he used the force to push Darth Fulgar before he fully landed.

Darth Fulgur chuckled at Warren's question. A number of possible answers occured to him, but he decided the truth was the most appropriate...at least part of it.
"I am Darth Fulgur, Dark Lord of the Sith," he said, then smirked. "And i am here by the will of the Force. Too long have the Jedi coveted the power they don't deserve and are unfit to hold. It is time that the Jedi burn in the fires of the Dark Side."
With that, Darth Fulgur blasted a fan of crackling Force energy at Warren, holding his lightsaber in his other hand, ready to strike.

Warren caught the lightning with his lightsaber, his saber absorbing it.
"why now?" he asked, putting his lightsaber away and began circling Darth Fulgur.
Title: Re: Star Wars: Vengeance

"You Jedi and your arrogance." Darth Fulgur chuckled as he circled in kind, placing his lightsaber back on his belt, but keeping his guard up.
"Can you not see the corruption? The arrogance in your ranks? I have seen the Jedi's so-called 'mercy' and 'protection.' You sit in your halls, a monument to your own lust for power, weak and lazy, while billions die elsewhere. You claim to protect the Alliance, when in fact, you are the cause of it's suffering. The Sith shall sweep you away, and usher in a new era of peace."

The attempted Mind Trick flustered Darth Fulgur, but only because it was a pathetic attempt. He shook his head with a smile.
"You really think i can be influenced so easily? And besdies, the Sith have succeeded numerous times. The Force is balance, and the Jedi have remained in power far too long, and therefore have thrown off the balance of the Force. It is time for the Sith to REIGN!"
Suddenly, he used the Force to create a whirlwind in the room, tossing rubble everywhere and crushing the walls. He directed some of the rubble through windows and the ceiling, using all the rage and passion he could muster to flare in the dark side of the Force. It would be felt by all, Force-sensitives and mortals alike. The Jedi would feel it more acutely, but it wasn't about that. He meant to send a message to the galaxy: the Sith had returned, and they were coming. With that, Darth Fulgur ran, heading for the nearest exit to the outside, pelting to his ship. He didn't know if the Jedi had followed him, but he didn't care. If he escaped, victory would be his, and the Jedi knew it.

(Aw, how anticlimactic.  XP )

Darth Fulgur dashed past dozens of Jedi, most were Padawans too young to know what he was, but others, whom he assumed were Knights, ignited their lightsabers and attempted to stop him. He cut them down without a second thought. Their appearances dwindled as he approached where his ship awaited him. They must have converged on their wound in the Temple, like blood flowing to a cut. He lowered the boarding ramp to his shuttle, then sped inside, preping the ship for take-off. He sent a message to Serpington to meet him at the Sith Temple on the planet they had named Elderion beyond the Rim.

Thatch dashed into the hangar, which, ironically, was the one directly adjacent to the one that contained his ship. Taking out a beacon, he threw it at the ship as it was about to take off. The magnetic sensor started broadcasting immediately, completely undetectable by any means except for the gps unit in his armor.
Thatch watched the ship speed off, removing his helmet. It was then that he noticed the corpses.
"Dear god...." Rushing over, he saw that there was no hope... almost all of them had been sliced brutally in half except for one cat girl, most likely a Padawan hit by mistake, who was wincing and clutching her side.
Thatch sighed, collecting the lightsabers of the dead Jedi and using his force sense to lay them next to their owners, then gently kneeled down next to the girl.
"What happened?" he asked her.
The cat opened one eye.
"S-sith.... ran in... killed... all the... Jedi..." She winced. "Warren's... over there...."
Thatch nodded, placing a poultice on the injury. "Stay down, ok?" he said. "I'm going to go check on Warren."
Running over to the fox, he gently shook him. "Grand Master?"

cero chirped in the ships cockpit, spotting the jedi throw something at the taking off ship. making the choice to go after the ship rather than try and hit him with the blasters, having used up all the missiles  on the ships, he launched a mine into the hanger and sped off. chirping a message to darth fulgur to detour to a set of coodinates on an isolated rock planet a few systems away, adding that his ship needed repairs before sending the same location to serpington.

The rocky planet hung like debris in an ocean, dull brown and uneven, a chunk of floatsam in the galaxy. The only reason it was classified as a "planet" was because of the atmosphere that surrounded it, barely thick enough to allow most sentients to breathe upon it's surface. Other than that, it was at best an asteroid. And that is where Darth Fulgur set his shuttle down, next to another ship with Serpington standing over it, making repairs. Fulgur shut down his ship's systems, then proceeded out to meet Serpington.

Still unconcious, Caldif is plagued with dreams, visions send by the Dark side of the Force. He sees Lairya die, over and over, while nobody tries to help. Not Thatch, nor the Grand Master, nor anyone of his friends moves a finger to save her from Death. He tries to run towards her, rescue her, but is unable to move, to use the Force,  to think cleary. He sees her get beheaded, fried by blue lightening, shot, split in two by a lightsaber, get vaporized: any possible way his tormented brain can think of, or is told by the darkness that can be the Force.
And with every time she dies, a part of his soul dies with her...

Darth Fulgur inspected Serpington's ship. It would take some time to repair fully. He used the Force to check on the condition of the captured Jedi. He was still unconscious. Nodding, he returned to his ship, then began to meditate. Using an ancient Sith spell, he entered the Jedi's mind and found roiling dreams, fear and anger tainting the subconscious air. He could feel the beginnings of the dark side festering and maturing in the young Jedi. Satisfied, Darth Fulgur pulled away, then simply let the Force flow through him.

Sitting in the cargo hold of his shuttle, Darth Fulgur opened the case of stolen Holocrons. He recognized one or two of them from his readings of ancient Sith tomes, but the rest, he would need to discover on his own. He removed on of the crimson pyramids slowly, as if the slightest ill-movement would shatter it. He set it on the ground and focused his Force energy on the crystaline structure. Soon, it began to glow, deep within it's depths. Suddenly, a hologram-like construct materialized above the Holocron. The image looked at Fulgur from the depths of of a dark black hood, and he could tell she was female. "I am Lumaya, Dark Lady of the Sith."
Darth Fulgur grinned, an evil look of hunger in his eyes, as he listened intently.

"I believe," he said without preamble, "that we should return to the Temple, prepare ourselves, and train our newest recruit. The dark side is strong in him."

Ziost. While not the birthplace of the Sith, the planet held an imense place in Sith history. The ancient Sith such as Ajunta Pall, Darth Revan, and Lumiya had all set foot on the world. This place was a focal point for the Dark Side. In a far more ancient time, this planet was the homeworld of the Sith species, so it was only right that Darth Fulgur could come here to turn and train new Sith Acolytes.
He had established the Temple here long ago in one of the many ruins that dotted the planet's surface, a place for his Sith army to train and grow in the Force. This was a perfect opportunity to check on the Temple's progress, as he had long since learned it needed the attention. He had set in charge there the incompetent Darth Baceolus; a fool who knew how to teach the Dark Side, but was incapable of calling on it's full power. A weakling, and Darth Fulgur despised weakness.
He sent Serpington a message to come in quietly; Darth Fulgur knew the only way to check true progress was to catch it unaware. He set down on the landing pad large enough for a Star Destroyer, then waited for Serpington...and the welcoming party he sensed was arriving.

serpington wasn't as fond of ziost as the others, even less fond of Darth Baceolus. reluctantly flying in and landing next to darth fulgur, cero landing on the other side. the two got out and silently waided for someone to come out to great them, hoping that it would be someone coming to tell them how much Baceolus had screwed up while they were away.

Darth Fulgur could feel the dark side pulsing through the planet, like dark blood throught the veins of some enormous creature. The imensity of it almost knocked him to his feet; he had not felt so much power in one place in so long, having placed himself in isolation. But, he had to keep focus. I must revel some other time, he thought. Now is the time for business. Soon, Darth Baceolus, flanked by two Sith Acolytes, came through the door at the other end of the landing pad.
Darth Baceolus was a large specimen of a Sith, with broad shoulders, thick limbs and neck, and brutish features, he could easily have been mistaken for a Wampa. Despite his girth, however, Darth Fulgur knew he was as cunning as they came. He greeted them with his usual, deep, raspy voice.
"Greetings, my Lord." He bowed, making the gesture an insult. The Acolytes behind him bowed likewise, hiding their contempt for Baceolus in the Force, but not on their faces.
"What brings you to our humble little Temple?"
"I have simply come to check on the progress of the students, to give you a few new recruits to turn, to use the facilities...and to make sure you are doing your job correctly," said Fulgur, his tone neutral. "Serpington, bring the Jedi and younglings out. Now. Then remove yourself to wherever you wish."

Warren lay done staring at the roof of the temple and tried to recollect his thoughts, he didn't really care about those directly around him as he was too focused on what he was trying to achieve.
A brief moment of blank staring at the roof and Warren sat up and looked at Thatch.
"Though I do not feel it now, I remember from before that the force is particularly strong within you" Warren looked up at the roof again
"I must speak with the rest of the Jedi Council, then your training can begin" Warren said as he pulled himself off the ground
"though I fear a lot more may be at stake"

As Darth Fulgur strode through the halls of the Ziost Temple, he half-listened to Darth Baceolus wax eloquent about the polotics of the Temple, telling him about all that had happened here since Fulgur's last visit. He didn't not pay much attention. Instead, he was searching the Temple with the Force, scanning every inch to feel how the recruits were fairing in their path along the Dark Side. He had ordered Serpington to place the Jedi they had captured in his personal quarters, where Fulgur would acquaint himself with him later. But for now, he needed to check on the recruits. They future was boiling with war, and he needed Sith, not weaklings.
Darth Fulgur had let Serpington roam the Temple as he pleased, but Fulgur could not feel him. He smirked. He had trained him well.
"As you can see, my Lord," Baceolus was saying, "our facilities are quite expansive. We have spared no expense..."
"I want to see your top students," Darth Fulgur interjected. "Now."
Darth Baceolus's outward countenance was unchanged, but in the Force, he seemed somewhat uneasy. "Very well, my Lord," he said, bowing so low as to make the gesture an insult, "they shall be brought here at once."
Darth Fulgur nodded, satsfied. He had to test these prospective Sith, if only to test Darth Baceolus's ability to teach and run the Temple.

Five students stood before Darth Fulgur, looking prepared and calm, but in the Force, they were trembling. He smirked slightly. These students would break before him. He removed his lightsaber from his belt and took his ready stance. Darth Baceolus stood off to the side, paws behind his back. Fulgur nodded.
"Go," said Baceolus.
The students ignited their lightsabers and charged at him. Fulgur was unimpressed, swatting aside the initial strikes and blow three of the students aside with the Force, while he quickly disarmed the other two.
"Pathetic," he said, sheathing his saber. "You have no place teaching here, Baceolus."
"I hardly think that's fair, my Lord," he said, defensively.
"Then prove it."
Without a word, Fulgur threw Baceolus into the wall, shaking the training room. Fulgur's anger was boiling over, and he channeled it into his attack, charging Baceolus, lightsaber drawn. Baceolus defended, but his technique was shoddy at best. Baceolus was a fool, and knew that Fulgur would beat him, but Fulgur didn't want to beat him. He wanted to destroy Baceolus, to humiliate him and prove he was a fool. Soon, he had Baceolus on the run, on the defensive. Scared. He tried to slash at Fulgur's head, but he over extended and Fulgur lunged in, slicing through Baceolus's arm at the elbow. Then, Fulgur opened his paw and shot Force lightning directly into his chest, driving Baceolus to his knee. Fulgur hovered the tip of his lightsaber by Baceolus's neck.
"You are no longer the head of this Temple," he said definitivly. He strode off to his chambers and found the captured Jedi, slumped against a wall.

Darth Fulgur chuckled, remembering how he had felt when he had first touched the Dark Side. But Fulgur knew what most Sith forgot: arrogance is the downfall of all beings, Light or Dark Side. So, if this Jedi was going to break, Fulgur first had to break his pride.
Still keeping the Jedi pinned, he went to the door and locked it. Then he released the Jedi and turned to face him.

"we are not to attac ourselves, but to find evidence of the sith threat and then report to the council, we will use your personal ship as a jedi ship would be too conspicuous. any questions?"

Thatch nodded. "A few... first of all, Can Isabel come with us as well? And second..." He stared at him. "Wait... what do you mean great potential? I'm no Luke Skywalker!"

"yes we can and we shall see" Warren said with a stern face.
"after you" Warren said as he gestured towards the docking bays

Thatch stood up and walked towards the hangar. "Well... hopefully, the force beacon I attatched to their ship came with them all the way... even if it's destroyed, I suppose I could still pinpoint their location..."
Isabel walked beside Razot. "Sir.... did you... know this would happen?"

The power feels too good, too awesome. Finally, Caldif could be as powerful as any other Jedi. Or Sith. Deep inside Caldif's mind, a soft voice tries to make him remember the Order, the Light, but the illusions of the Sith Lord slowly drown it, untill it is no longer able to make itself heard. Caldif slowly lifts his head, not even feeling the burns the blue energy left on his body, his eyes bloodshot. "Teach... me...", he bows his head, "... Master..."

Darth Fulgur smirked and let the lightning die. "Very good...my apprentice. You've taken the first step on the path to the Dark Side. The power you crave shall be yours."
He began to pace around the young former-Jedi, speaking softly, enticingly.
"The Jedi hid this power from you. They feared that you would become more powerful than they. You shall have your power, and the Jedi will be powerless."
He looked down upon his newest Sith.
"Before you gain your Sith title, you must first be tested."
He contacted Serpington on his comlink.
"Come to my quarters immediately. We have a new Sith how need's...breaking in."

Caldif nodded slowly. His hunger for Power would be stilled. Finally. He waited for the test to begin.

"I had a feeling that such events would unfold, only i wasn't sure when"
Warren looked puzzled for a moment then looked up
"I do not think it wise that we delay this any further"

Thatch nodded. "Good idea... Let's go."
Walking up to the Slave 1, Thatch lowered the entry ramp and held a hand out toward it. "After you, Grand Master... and you too, Isabel..."

Serpington escorted the child back to her room, the two of them quietly talking and sharing sweets, when he was contacted. "At once master." he took the long way, dropping the girl off at her room, and letting cero keep her company, before heading to Darth Fulgur's room. he silently dropped out of the vent behind the Jedi and his master and watched. not really worried about  if they even noticed his arrival.

Caldif turned around slowly as he heard the Sith Lord's apprentice approach. It was the same Sith as he had seen and fought in the Jedi Temple. Caldif felt his emotions rise again. The Sith had to die. But some smarter part of his mind told him to relax and stay focused. First gain power, then the thoughts of hatred and murder of these Sith scum could cross his mind again. Caldif looked expectantly to the Sith Lord, waiting for an explanation about the test.

Serpington hissed a bit, taking a better look at the scum Darth Fulgur thought worthy. licking his lips and tasting his scents. he thought back while looking down at the jedi, his long tail slowly slithering around behind him, twitching every few seconds as if he was waiting fr something. hoping for something. he slow lent over, coming within millimeters of the living seared meat and whispered soft enough that  Darth Fulgur would not hear.

"you look like him. you smell like him. you taste like him. you sound like him. you fight like him. the jedi heretic who ceased all life from my home world."

he walked back, looking at his master. "if you wish me to be part of his training.......do not expect him to be alive enough to use it......master."

(Sorry about the late post. Internet connection's been Bantha poodoo.)

"Rise, former-Jedi," commanded Darth Fulgur. He looked at Serpington and tried to read him in the Force. It was quite impossible. As soon as he had taught the assassin to hide himself in the Force, he had employed it constantly. But Fulgur knew that he wanted the Jedi dead. If he didn't, Serpington would not be here still. Fulgur glared at the newest member of the Sith, keeping his muzzle and Force aura devoid of emotion. He grabbed his lightsaber off his belt and tossed it to the Jedi.
"You will fight my assassin, Serpington. Both of you may use whatever Force techniques that may come to you."
Giving no further instructions, Darth Fulgur stepped back and let the chaos ensue.

Caldif caught the blade, ignited it and Force-jumped towards the assassin, taking the momental offensive.

Serpington let out a snarling hiss, not bothering to draw his blades and instead cracking his knuckles and calling up his force energy. slamming the scum down to the floor with as much force as he could muster. "know your place dirt. i'm going to enjoy this." drawing his sabers he stepped forward, hoping Darth Fulgur wouldn't mind him killing his new little pet.

Caldif only saw the attack coming a couple of milliseconds in advance. He was able to twist his body partly out of the way, which resulted in none of his bones being broken, but still the force of the attack brought him down to his knees. He still had his lightsaber though, thank the Force. He rolled up to meet his assailant, blade raised. "Me too..." he answered.

Serpington watched closely, hissing quietly and waiting, still hiding his force energy and slowly altering his scales, becoming see-through as his rag like clothes dropped to the floor and he put away his sabres. "try killing what you can't find Jedi Calicio."

"Trying to hide from that what you can not kill?" Caldif  kept his blade raised, searching for his target, his Force sense tricked by the other's hiding skills.

suddenly his sabre came in a swooping slash from above, the lizards voice coming from everywhere at once. "i could have killed you at any moment filth. but the punishment for killing his pets and playthings isn't as fun."

Caldif parried cleanly and attacked with a flurry of fast strikes of the sabre. "Scared?" he sniggered.

a few more attacks came out thin air, seeming to just appear and vanish in seconds "no, just smart enough to know who not to get on the bad side of."

Darth Fulgur watched the two battling proudly, heady with the hatred boiling in the room. He was proud of Serpington like a swordsmith is proud of his craft. And he was proud with himself for having seen the potential in the young Jedi. He would become a powerful Sith. Fulgur hoped that the two would not kill each other, as that was not the point of this excersise. He wanted to gague the Jedi's fighting style, see how he would adapt, and above all, see how well he could use his emotions without becoming a feral dark-side beast.

Darth Fulgur had seen enough. Drawing on the Force, he forced the two away from each other, pinning them in place. He went over to the Jedi.
"Very good, my new apprentice. You have done well. But now, the real test begins. Stay here, meditate, let the dark side flow through you, and your final test will be revealed. Should you survive, come to me."
He left the room, gesturing at Serpington to follow.

Serpington followed, watching the jedi as he left. as soon as he was outside he noticed the little girl from before, tracking him using cero's homing programing and couldn't help but smile. "what do you wish of me master?"

Darth Fulgur turned to Serpington, a proud look in his eye.
"I must say, you did well against the Jedi. An impressive display of the Dark Side. But that is not what I wish to speak to you about."
He did a quick sweep of the area in the Force. Discovering no one, he turned his attention back to Serpington.
"I want you to eliminate Darth Baceolus. But I don't just want him killed, I want to make an example of him. When you have killed him, take his body into the disposal pit. Pin him to a wall and leave him there. Someone will find him eventually."

"if you wish to make an example of him....might i chose what i do with the body master?" he asked calmly, noticing Darth Fulgur hadn't noticed her and feeling a little proud of that fact as she vanished into a vent with cero to wait for him.

Darth Fulgur considered the offer. He knew Serpington was a vicious and cruel assassin, but he was also cunning. He must have an ulterior motive, if not for that, then for something. But Fulgur saw no reason not to let him have free regin for this cruel act.
"Yes, Serpington."

he bowed his head and smiled "thank you master." was all he said before walking off. slipping into the vents again and getting his new student to follow him. "child, did you hear our mission?"

The Sith Lord and the Assassin left the room, leaving Caldif behind with his poisonous thoughts. His mood seemed to infest the room itself, remaking it into something... Dark. Wicked. Insane. Caldif sat down slowly, and tried to meditate. But his own mental voice was overwhelmed by those in his head. The screaming, cruel voices, whispering about him, the Jedi, his friends, the Galaxy...
... His loved one...
