Rasui walks down dusty dirt trail. The sun on his back creating a long shadow along the ground. In the distance Rasui notice there is a village on the horizon. His body worn and tired from walking, along with running out of water a day or so. After a while he reaches the entrance to the village and smiles as he walks enters the village. Upon doing so Rasui forgot to notice there is a no weapon sign displayed. The village Keidran looked at Rasui as he walks toward the well in the central of the city. Some Keidran hurried out of his was, as Rasui fills his bottle of water and sits down to drink it. At the point a dark shadow cast over him. Rasui mumbles to him self. Great what now? Rasui looks and at the figure "Um.. Hello there?"

Lady Kayato was standing there just looking over the newcomer that just waltzed into town. "Excuse me lad.. but there is a no weapon policy here... would you please remove yours and follow me." she had to adjust her glasses to be able to see him clearly. Kayato waved him forward. "Please hurry along.. i dont want the towns children to start to pester me about things." some children are peaking out of windows and trying to get a closer look at the stranger near the well. Kayato could not help but smile. "I mean you no harm, just lets get moving. i have something better than water at my shop."

*Watching from the under the shade of a porch roof outside of a store, An anthro artic wolf knight with silver streaks in his hair watched the procession. He wore a somewhat thick fur cape around his armour to hide the fact that he was a knight, as well as it was somewhat cold that day. He took note of how the traveler had weapons, and decided to keep an eye on him. He then saw the local herbalist begin speaking to him and attempting to lure him away. He thought this odd, as usually she doesn't take an interest in passer-bys, unless she plans to sell them something. He began to tail them from within a croud of people, not wishing to be seen.*
[I'm just assuming you are a Herbalist Kai? You said you had a shop and that you used herbs, so I just put two and two together]

Anther figure followed close behind them, unseen as he took to the shadows quite often. Bright blue eyes tracked the newcomer and the tailless wolf as their owner walked on silent feet, following them with caution.

My stomach growls viciously now, as I dig through every pocket I have for money. At this point I can tell the shop keep is getting quite annoyed. The growling from my stomach, and the loudness from shop keep snap me out my day dream of me eating the luscious food in front of me. "Are you going to pay for this stuff or not?" Said the shop keep with a growl. I didn't have it in me to say I don't have money, but I really want to eat. Maybe I could strike a deal with the actual shop keeps owner? Which was perfect timing because I think I hear her behind me, walking in right now.

Rasui stares up at Lady Kayato and smiles as he slowly stands. "Thanks maam. It has been while since i have last drank anything there." Rasui removes his katana and holds it close to his side as he follows Kayato to her shop. As they walk Rasui catches that they are being followed but acts like they are nothing but average Keidran. "So maam. May I inquire your name?"

my name is Kayato. please hold on a second. Horace dear, go ahead and let the lad have that food. he does look a bit hungry." she turned back to the fellow that followed her in from the well. "would you like some tea or lemon-aid? free of charge of cource. Rasui come on now dont be shy.i promice i am not going to eat you, poison, or trick you." she smiled as she moved to the back of the shop and pushed aside a beeded curtan. tendrles of lavender, and honey suckle insence wafted out of her room. "follow me in here please. i would like to have a word or two you if you would not mind."

*The Wolf Knight waits in the croud abit after they have entered the shop. He thinks to himself* /Hmmm, should I go in or not? I'll learn nothing by staying out here. But then again, what am I even looking into? Kayato has never had a history of anything illegal, and inviting a stranger into her shop seems innocent enough. Maybe I'm just being parinoid.../ *He turns around to see a figure standing in the shadows eyeing him.* /And maybe I'm not.../ *He then trailed with the croud and eventually around a building, hopeing to entrap his stalker.*

Suddenly, the wolf felt a knife at his throat. "Why are you following me?" a distinctly young voice asked.

At the sound being able to eat, became music to my ears, and my eyes welled up.... I dropped to my nears, taking off my hat, and putting it to my chest. "Lady Kayato, madam... I am in your debt, its been to long since I've eaten... Please if there is anything that I can do to pay back this generosity i will." I then stood up, took Lady Kayato's hand and gently kissed it before, throwing back my on my hat, and turning back to my lunch. Devouring it on the spot.

Rasui follows Kayato to the back room. "I would like some tea please." As he passes the curtain he picks up the scents and closes his eye's as he lets himself relax. "Thanks for your hospitality Lady Kayato. But may i ask how you know my name when i have not even mention it?" Rasui opens his eye's as he sits down holding on to his blade still.

she smiled as she walked around the small table to a smoldering fire. she pulled a kettle off of it. kayato looks up and knocks a cup off the rack. it fell behind her, looked like it was going to hit the floor but it landed saftly in her out streched hand as she dug through the baskets on the small counter. "hmm? what did you say..? oh your name, how did i know it? i can just tell from the way you walk you would have a rather odd name. just picked one out of random. " she smiled and adjusted her small glasses. "what kind of tea do you want?"

Suddenly, the wolf felt a knife at his throat. "Why are you following me?" a distinctly young voice asked.
*Moving faster than the cut throat had anticipated, The knight reached back and grabbed the knife in one paw, and drilled the assailent's face with the other. Knife now in hand, he quickly spun around and stabbed him in the shoulder, non-lethally on purpose, and then threw him to the ground.* "Who is preditor, and who is prey? What do you seek, speak quickly, for my next attack will be your last." *He draws his dagger*

The young cat looked up at the figure. "Perhaps you in jail for being a total disgrace to the law," he said, clutching his arm in pain. "I was just curious. We haven't had a visitor in a while." He whimpered and drew the knife out of his shoulder, wiping it off and sheathing it. "Are you really that stupid?" He looked over the wolf. "Scratch that, the look on your face shows that you are that stupid..."

I finished devouring my meal, and turned to see that i was left alone to take a seat inside the shop. I even threw out another thank you across the shop to lady Kayato. I patted my stomach and had to just yell out again across the room to lady Kayato once more, saying that I'm in her debt. I'm usually not this loud, or grateful... But if you haven't eaten for about 3 days, you would be. Especially when the meal you just got was free.

Ryan walked through the main street of the village. Everywhere he went, the people stepped aside from him, or crossed the street to get away from him. Not because they were scared of him, no, it was because they feared that the stench of his old and not very often washed body would spread to them. Only the town children would come closer, trying to tackle him, or trow rocks from a little distance. He wasn't exactly the most popular person in town. He was just another beggar, trying to get food and a place to stay for the often cold nights. He was now heading for the only place where he at least for a short tome, could be at peace: lady Kayato's shop. As he approaches from he backside of the shop (he didn't want anyone to know the Lady helped him sometimes, it would be bad for her reputation), he hears the sound of a small fight somewhere close. "Let's not go that way..." Ryan thinks to himself as he quickly walks on the opposite way from which the sound of a the small struggle are coming. He now must enter the shop through the main entrance, although he is able to sneak in unnoticed by the townspeople. As he enters the shop, he gives a quick nod to the barkeeper and sits down in his shadowy corner. "I'll wait here till the lady turns up... She might still have some bread left from yesterday..." He thinks, smiling to himself. He doesn't take great notice of the lad yelling 'thank-yous' to the lady, however, he hopes the lady still has sone food left after feeding this hungry young man

Rasui chuckles at Lady Kayato. "I will have green tea Lady Kayato" He looks around the back of the shop smiling as he hears a slight fighting. Once Rasui receives his tea he takes sip and smiles. "You not a regular Shop Keeper Lady Kayato. And it seems i have stirred up some dust in your town." Rasui grips his sword bit more.

she chuckles. "no no, not my town.. though if you dont mind me asking, why are you coming through. you look like a warrior not a domestic. there a battle about to insu somewhere near that i have yet to gain wind from?" she sips her own tea then smiles when she heard Ryan sit down. "please, while i let you think of something to say i have someone i have got to tend to."
she grabs a few peices of candied fruit and a small bowl stew and bustles out. she smiled at the young lad she gave food to eariler and set the soup and the few peices of candied fruit in front of Ryan. "there you are. you know if you want, you can always use my bath house. im sure some of my husbands old clothes would fit you nicely. just until i get yours washed."

*The knight stares blankly at his assailent* "I've been protecting this town for the past 7 months. YOU are the stranger here, not I. And lastly, I am a man of great importiance. No judge would believe some street cut throat over me. Now, I shall ask again, WHY are you here? Why did you attempt to attack me? Speak Now."

The kid just stared blankly at the knight.
"On second thought, perhaps it was just a lack of communication," he said, walking out of the alley and toward Kaya's shop. "I'm just going to go see who this new guy is... please stop following me, though, I have no interest in fighting you."

"aye.. I am a warrior from deep northern. I am heading south past the raging sea's. I am looking for land that has long been forgotten. And the war you are speaking of is the Northern and the western war. That is slowly but surly heading this way."
Rasui sip's his tea as he nods his head to Lady Kayato as he goes to tend to something.

"i'll be right back... wait.. why dont you join me in the back room Ryan. it will be quieter in there. same goes for you yong lad." she said to haxor. She re entered the back room. "i hope you do not mind but there will be a few more that will be joining us back here. as you can tell... not many of us around here like violence... except the local drunkards whom squabble like an old mated pair, and the occasional passer through."

*The knight frowns knowing that what he was doing as well. But waits for bit till kid enters Lady Kayato shop. After few moments passed the knight enters that shop as well. He points out the kid in the alley way and seats in seat on the other side of the building looking for the stranger" Hmm.. I do not seem that new guy. He must be in the back..

The kid looked over at the knight. "That seems reasonable... I think I saw him going back there, actually."

Atticus tipped his hat above his face, after Lady Kayato addressed him to enter the room with her and the new guy. "Of course ma'am, anything you need, since you did give me a free meal." He said with a chuckle. Then proceeded to get up, and make his way to the back room, as Lady Kayato instructed.

After receiving his meal from dear Lady Kaya, and politely refusing the cloths she offered yet again, Ryan now sat on his spot, enjoying his food. When the lady returned with the stranger, and asked both him and the young, hungry lad to join her, he immediately got up and walked after her, using his hearing and touch to find his way through the shop. He did hear the breathing of a number of others in the shop. Possibly two. He hastily made his way after the lady, scared somehow to be caught in a crossfire. "Dear Lady," he said carefully while walking, "what do you need from us? And who are the two others within this group? As you know, I cannot see them..."

Rasui Sists there drinking his tea as he see two boys walk in behind Lady Kayato. He keeps to him self as he does not losen his grip from his blade. As they enter he notice to others staring around. One them looked like knight and the other one looked like a kid as well. Rasui slightly mumbles to him self "Dang I hope this does not turn out in me running and fighting again."

"the others are friends. no need to wory. tell me what you hear in the room. i know you can tell whats going on by the sound of everything." She smiled a bit and adjusted her glasses. the small group in here would serve the newcomer well. they each had their own abilities streched a little bit further than the natural woulr would like to admit. "chair about noontime infront of you. you others go ahead and take a seet. it is going to get a little busy back here once we all get better aquianted."

*The knight watches as lady Kayato take in two more quest in the back room and tile his head. He looks to the kid that came in before him "I wonder what she is planning gathering those kids up. I mean Lady Kayato was sweet and outstanding citizen.. She could not me planning on turning this town inside out now." The night ponders a bit more as he thinks to him self.*

"Okay... but do you have any bandages?" the boy asked, clutching his arm just below the wound.

Atticus looked to the boy that just walked in, clutching his arm. "How you liking the town so far there? I can see you already met a local." Atticus said to the boy. Then redirected his attention the new person, that lady Kayato had brought in with her. "And you, mind easing a bit on the blade... its gonna stay on you belt, so unless you intend on drawing it just to show off; you can ease up.... your in good hands all around... i hope" Atticus said.

Still not totally convinced the others in the room were friends, Ryan quietly sat down in a corner of the room that the Lady had pointed him to, trying not to draw to much attention. He didn't hear any threatening voices or movements, which he let the Lady know by a swift gesture. He tried to sit down comfortably, and when he wasn't able, in the most comfortable way. He opened his ears and listened to the voices speaking, the rustling sound of capes and cloths, and waited for what would happen.

Rasui looks at Atticus and smiles at they Boy. "Sorry but when you have lived my life and seen the things I have seen. Then you would see why i hold onto this sword the way I do" Rasui looks over that Ryan and smiles as he notice that he not able to see but none less he bows to both boy's. Rasui keep's his mind focus on the Knight though and the boy clutching his arm. "Lady Kayato, I think you should attend to the wounded there. Before his cut gets infected"

She smiled, adjusted her glasses, and started walking towards a smaller more hidden door. "go ahead and introduce yourselves.. it will sound much nicer if everyone was being called by their names.. than 'boy' and such. i will be right back, i just need to get a few things for this yound lads wound. please no fighting..." Kayato seamed to vanish into the small little area and all that was decirnable from there was the slight rustle of clothing, and moving of items.

The Knight stands there watching keeping his eye on Rasui and his sword. "My name is Zackary Vann. One few knights that protect this simple village and you stranger are?" The Night notice lady Kayato moving around gathering things up in small room. "And Why are you holding onto that sword like if you are waiting for something to happen?" The knight raises his voice a bit at Rasui

The boy looked over at the knight. "Um... Zach, perhaps you could use a bit more of an inside voice?" he said. "You are a guest in another person's home."

"Names Atticus, and Zach? The guys right, mind just calming down? A man can have his reasons, I suggest you leave it at that. By the way, what was your name? Said Atticus to the boy who spoke out to Zach.

Ryan sense the tension rising, and the mood turning from normal to quite annoyed. Most of the people in the little room now stand with their hands on their weapons. Ryan doesn't trust the fqct that there will not be more fights not a hundred percent. So, he speaks: "Dear everyone, please stand down. Like our young friend here already said, we are guests here. Now please hold your grudges against each other for another day, and I'm sure the Lady," he takes a quick look around the room, "or someone here, can tell us why we have been gathered, for what purpose?"

Rasui frowns as he looks to the knight. "My name is Rasui, I am from the northern tribe called Mohingan. We have been under seige for over year now. I was given job to seek out the promise land which has been lost for centries. Currently I am running from warrior named seith who is leading this war. Why we are here you should ask Lady Kayato herself" Rasui finishes his tea and set's the cup down on the table

Kayato backed out of the small room vials and little jars. she also had a few bandages in hand. "i thought all of us could help out Rasui here. i know i would like to help him out on his journey to find the promice land. you will need a medic wont you?" she asked as she started to work on James wound.

The knight frowns but nod his head at Rasui. "That may all fine, But is not the promise land a myth. Keidran have searched and know one has yet discovered it. What makes you sure that your going to fine it?" The knight voice is alot calmer as he sits down. "And Lady Kayato. You are not planning on going with him are you?"

The boy looked up at Kayato as she bandaged his cut. "Thank you, miss..." he said quietly. He looked over at Atticus. "um... james," he said in a quiet voice. "But... everyone calls me Jynx because I seem to be unlucky."

Atticus pats Jynx on the shoulder, and looks at his wound "Yea... the attracting bad luck thing seems to be true enough so far. But hey don't worry, bad luck can't happen all the time." Atticus then turned his attention to Kayato's proposal on a quest to the promise land. "Now... hold on, if I may. The Knight has a point ma'am, the promise land hasn't been discovered yet in how many years? Whose to say that a rag tag team like us can have any hope of finding. No offense, or doubt to anyones skill, just... we aren't the perfect... complimentary group...."

Ryan nods. "I agree with the mister. We aren't exactly a well ordered squad. And what has an old, blind beggar like me gotta do here, with this quest? I'm of no use here..."

Rasui looks at every one and smiles at them as he sit there listening intently. "Well This very reason why this group be good. We are not all in order and all looking for somthing. As well what makes us different is the fact that we have something that the others do not have. Unforentely I can not say it here." Rasui smiles at all them

kayato smiles a bit and re adjusts her glasses then sits in a chair."ryan your hearing is better than most everyone in the town, i would like to go is you would take me along with you, rasui. Atticus... just as Rasui said.. the differences and uniqueness of us all helps... in ways. but if you do not wish to come i can not force you to do so." she sipped a glass of tea then grimmaced. "where the moons did my manners go... would anyone like some tea or water?"

Zackary looks at Lady Kayato and the rest of the group. "I will have water please lady Kayato" Zackary looks back at the group and frowns when his eye's reach Rasui. "So your really going to try and fine it huh. Well you are fool even if you have something that other explorers did not. Does not mean you will fine it"

Jynx looked over at Zach, shrugging. "Well, technically speaking, just because it hasn't been found doesn't mean it CAN'T be found, so that means that someone's bound to find it at some point, so why not us?" He looked at Rasui. "You shall have my daggers." He glanced over at Kaya. "Water, please. It'll hurt less when it inevitably spills all over me."

Atticus shakes, and scratches his head.... "Well, as much as I really do owe you Lady Kayato, this journey should pay it back. So although your kind enough not to force me to go, I know I should and I will. Who knows, maybe it'll be a good day for us and it'll be right in front of us one day as we're walking." Atticus finished his statement with a wave of his hat.

"If you have, I would like a vodka please. Otherwise just some water, milady. And you have my ears, my smell and my touch. I hope that we can find the land. If we find any richnesses, I don't want any. I'm in for the honor I lost so many years ago. I hope to regain some by this search..."

"Well i think we all agree then. Except for Mr. Night over there. What you think? join or no?" Smiles as he sits back rockng his chair with small grin on his face. "As well Lady Kayato. Your healing would be most welcome in the group and I would be more than happy if you came along."

Rex a small neko of human and cat, somewhere around 5'2'' comes up behind the group and says "I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I hope I can help if I'm not what you're looking for."

(Wolfgirl, I'm sorry to interupt, but you cant just post in this RP. Please search for the serious roleplay --- OOC of this roleplay (The Keidran War OOC) and make an introduction post there. Then we can decide whether or not you can join our Rp and where you will belong in the posting order. :))

KAyato smiles and starts bustilng about the small area gathering the waters and had to stand on a small step stool to reach the small bottle of vodka she normally kept hidden from some of her other more....roudy guests. she poured a small glas and gave the water, and vodka, to everyone that had asked for said drinks. she sat down and sipped on her own glass.

*Finally relaxed now, Zackary politely thanks Kayato for the water and sips it ginerly, untill his ears suddenly perk up and he stands at attention*
"Wait, did you say Keidran?! Your from Keidran?! We all assumed the city had fallen months ago! I asked my knight commander to send me with the detatchment to investigate but he refused, insisted that this dirt town needed protecting. Nothing ever happens here, and what little trouble does happen is quickly absolved by the local militia. I need to get out! You say the war fairs poorly? Your looking for a new land? Speak, speak!"
*His sudden excitement and slightly diffuse thoughts hints that Zackary may have connections to the beliegered city. His actions are surprisingly un-knightlike, but he doesn't seem to mind. He nearly breaks his glass with excitement when he finally puts it down.*

Jynx also thanked Kaya for the water, but while he was drinking it, Zach's outburst caused him to spill some on his pants. He put the glass down and looked over at Kaya. "You see?" he said. "I knew it would happen."

"Yes i am from Keidran. We had support from the knights here. but we were quickly over run as if we never stood chance.. The village as prime as it was fell in once night"
Rasui looks down at the floor. As he remember the past

"Hmmm, at least the city still holds out for now. You claim to be seeking a new land to call home?"

"Wouldn't it be better to speak about this on the road? If we have to search the forgotten lands, we should head out quickly. The faster, the better..."
Ryan gets up a little, flushing his drink down in a second.

"Hmmm, very well. Shall we be off? I always come prepaired for travel." *Zackary says as he brushed back his cape, revieling a deerskin bag filled with supplies*

Jynx shrugged. "I'm all ready," he said. "I have this." He pats the satchel he came in with. "And I'm armed."

Rasui stands as he smiles as every one. "Well then. Lets gets going there. I fear we be needing a good dash to make sure we stay ahead of the front lines"
