Hey guys, I'm a 13 year old wolf/phoenix therian that goes by the name of Nevermore online. I started getting into fursonas around the age of nine, but dropped it after a few years. I'm back now and glad to be a furry. I'm new to the community, having just actually heard of the term furry a few months ago. I didn't identify as it immediately like I did with my therianthropy. My hobbies consist of photography, writing, drawing and other creative pursuits like music - I play violin and I'm getting a guitar next month.
I don't currently have a fursona, but I'm in the middle of designing one. This time, I want her to be special, instead of the hodgepodge of "I like blue! Lots of blue! :D And wolves rock. ^^" I was thinking when I was nine and ten. Currently, she is a blue and white cheetah/binturong cross with vampiric tendencies. I'm still designing her and I have different ideas for what I want, so I'm not too sure about that.
Well, that's me. :)

Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your stay.
-
@Snurr
I'm sure I will, everyone here seems really friendly.
-
Welcome Nevermore, Nice to meet you.
I'm Beatnory, you can call me Beat like the most here do.
Í like to see some of your photographs. Do you have a link or something?
anyway, Have a nice time here!
-
@Beat
Nice to meet you, Beat. I actually don't have many of my photographs on my computer - most of them were on my old computer. The ones that are on this one aren't very good, to say the least. I'm taking a photography course over the summer though, so I'll probably have some better shots.
Thanks, I'm sure I will.

Welcome nevermore :D
Perhaps you could tell me why a raven is like a writing desk.
Your tip is your name :P
-
@ Mr. Razot
Thank you. As for why a raven is like a writing desk, I will answer you truthfully. It has to do with the fact that ... I haven't the slightest idea. A goldfish might know.
-
Lol perhaps :P
But a poe wrote on both...
Quoth the raven "nevermore"
-
Because that riddle made no sense, what about this one? Why did the chicken cross the road?
-
To get to the other side :P
Why did the chicken cross the mobius strip?
-
Wait, you don't know why the chicken crossed the mobius strip? I was hoping that someone knew....
-
Belive me, he know a lot of things.

Welcome to the forum Nevermore!
I'm Timmy, the one and only Royal Cutefox. I hope you'll enjoy your time here ^_^
-
@Beat
Goldfish are very intelligent, they just manifest as idiots to keep us guessing. :)
@Timmy Fox
Hi, Timmy. Your fursona sounds absolutely adorable, makes me want to draw Kiara (my fursona's name)
-
Thanks :3
-
Welcome to the forum.
I hope you enjoy your stay here.
-
@Timmy
Welcome, it's true. ^^
@Nikolai
Thank you, I'm sure I will.
-
Welcome to the forum ^^
My name is Y Zelt (at the moment :P)
I'm also known as Suirrel or Ventus Fall (or just Ven).
I have a few fursonas, but I'm currently an Angora/French Lopear mix bunny ^^
Nice meeting you and if you ever have questions, you may contact me :)
-
Thank you, Y Zelt. I'll be sure to PM you if I have any questions, but I have a quick one. How big are the avatar sizes here? I really want to draw a headshot of my character, but I don't know how large they can be.
-
As far as sizes go, if I'm not mistaken, you can upload any size :)
-
I have to add that if you are indeed only 13, your English is superb compared to what I usually see.
-
I was thinking the samething Snurr.
-
@Y Zelt
Okay, thank you. I go on another website with a similar format and the avatars there are 200x200, but that didn't seem the case here.
@Snurr and Nikolai
So, is being thirteen an insult to my English? cuz i can tlk lyk dis if u want me 2. Anyway, thank you.
-
Lol, they are impressed with your english ability.
Do you like to read?
Its also because most people at 12-14 on the internet do talk like that for some reason or another...

Wh1ch = r4th3r anN0y1ng.
Wouldn't you agree? :)
@Nevermore: I understand, on deviantart they used to have that as well before they updated it :)
-
im just realising... did i even say welcome?
welcome :D
-
@Mr. Razot
Yes, I love to read. When I'm not online, I'm usually reading or writing my own stories.
I absolutely hate it that everyone in my age group (or just about) can't spell or something. It's like they have something against vowels.
I think you did say welcome, but I'm not too sure.
@Y Zelt
Definitely annoying. I wish I could reach through my screen and smack them with one of those wet pool noodles every time they try that.
-
Any particular book or series of books that would be considered your personal favourite?
-

XD
Same here, it makes everything so difficult to follow and it takes as much time (or even less) to just type normally :)
Though I must say I do type stuff like: lol, rofl and dunt (instead of don't -.-) but I try to keep that to a minimum :)
Also, I wonder if you have read any Darren Shan books? :)
-
@MrRazot
I would have to go with either the Inheritance Cycle or the Maximum Ride series.
@Y Zelt
I think it takes a lot less time. Sure, it sounds the same when you read it out loud (kind of) but if you type quickly its easier. I think that a lot of people do that every once in a while, I actually say "Nuuuuuuuu" and "Derp/darp" in real life, as well as "Hurrr."
It sounds familiar - its about vampires, right? If it is, then I've read a few books in the series.
-
Not only vampires, though that was his first saga,
I like his demon saga more ^^
And he has some 'seperate' books too :)
Did you like his books?
-
I thought they were pretty interesting, but it's been at least a year since I've thought about them. Honestly, all I can remember is that I liked them. I think I might check out his other series, now that you've mentioned them. Next time I go to the library, I'll see if I can find them.
-
haha, cool xD
When you do read them, I would like to know what you think of them :)
-
Yay another therian :D
Welcome to the forums, everyone here is friendly so don't be shy :3
-
@Y Zelt
I'm probably going to the library sometime in the next week, so I'll probably pick one or two up. I'll be sure to tell you what I think, so thanks for the suggestions.
@Bayzaan
*fistbumps*
Therian and proud over here. If you don't mind me asking, what's your kin-type?
Although I've mostly lurked around, I'm really happy here. Maybe soon I'll actually make some real posts when my summer quiets down.
-
I can't wait x)
I sure hope you'll like it :3
Btw: Do you mind gross things? I mean, reading gross stuff? Because his demon saga has it's gross moments :P
Just so you know ^^;
-
I absolutely love 'gross' things. Not squeamish at all, over here. When I was younger, I actually got 'lost' (well, my parents were like "WHERE IS OUR DAUGHTER. ;A;") in a museum and it turns out I was watching this rather 'disgusting' video for the ninth time. The grosser it is, the more likely I am to like it.
-
OK, cool ^_^
