Infamous - 7/10

The controls were a little wonky sometimes, and the characters not overly likeable. I loved the concept of being able to choose between good and evil though, and the lightning powers were fun. The story was fairly interesting; the ending was pretty good at least. Probably what I loved the most though was the civilians' interaction with my character though. It was fun. :)

I've started on the sequel, and it seems to be even better than the first so far.

Crimsonland 9/10
may be 9 years old, may still cost $9 and may just be an arcade game

BUT when you have a top down shooter with 4 different races, 12 different colours and 20 different siezes (960 different enemies), 120+ weapons, 200+ perks, 10 bonuses, 3 easter eggs, 4 gamemodes and hours of fun. You have, the perfect, time-waster
:D

a good diablo clone with a pet gimmick. Pet pathfinding is a bit wonky but overall fun game. a good timewaster for diablo 3

Max Payne 2: the fall of Max Payne
8.5/10

Graphics are getting old, but the combination of bullettime, dual-wield and a amazing dark noir story make it that this game is worth his weight in gold.

Can't wait to play Max Payne 3 ;) only around the 18 days more sleepless nights :)

Get a Life (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Get_a_Life), (titel Y U SO ridiculous?) a mod for Half Life 2, and I'd say about 7/10, its only serious problems being caused by the fact that the developers don't have infinite money. (Things like inconsistent graphics, lack of very good voice-acting, stuff like that.) They did an amazing job with what they had though, and it is definitely a high-quality game.

Oh, and it has this sign.

Deus Ex Human Revolution
I'd have to give it a 7 out of 10. Story is good, voice acting when compared to Deus Ex is excellent. One gripe, Graphics! It looks rather much like a game from 3 years ago (not that that's bad). The music was great (mind you I like techno-classical-stuff)

Diablo 3. 8/10 during my brief period of gameplay with my brother I found tht character customization was great as well as the dungions. The gameplay itself in terms of controls is no different from the last. But in the intense all nighter with my bro raging on to the 3 hours ago error 37 came and kicked us out :/ as we do still love the game the error was a huge inconvienience but ah well.

The last game I played was Persona 4, I haven't finished it yet but I'm cruising through and so far I'd give it a 9/10. The last game I beat was Resident Evil 4 HD, which was a great game through and through so I'd give that 9/10 as well.

It's really good and I'm really good at it, but I can't play pong for crap  T_T

So I own when there's like 1,000,000,000 things coming at you at one time, but the last boss is just a normal game of pong and I just fail XD

Max Payne 3

I don't even know if I can rate it seriously... Not because it's a bad game... But because it's a true MASTERPIECE of old school games. I'll even do a critique on it here later on tonight. But if I had to rae it on 10, I'd give it a 10/10! Simply amazing.

I also have to say that this is one of the games that got me blown away since a while. This game is making us play some real stuff and not boring stuff.

Haven't finished it yet, so my review may change, but for now, I'd rate Final Fantasy 13 a solid 8.5/10
I don't get why people hated it so much. They said it takes too long for the story to kick in. You get a solid picture of what's going on throughout the beginning, and as you go through, subplots jump in, and frankly, there is a LOT going on. I would say the battle system took a turn for the worse, but then again, I kind of like the way they did it. It's still encounter-based like the Final Fantasies of old. Running along, bump into enemy, and battle starts. Except, in this game, you can't run from fights. Win or die.
I did prefer the way FF12 did their open-battle and field mechanics thing, but the gambit system made it WAY too easy. The level-up system in 13 is kind of a load of bunk, but not entirely in a bad way. I'm definitely a level-grinder, so I don't have a problem with fighting endless enemies for experience points. Also, the weapon and accessory level-up system was a really good idea, considering enemy prize-drops have never really been that useful.
In my opinion, the characters were well done, and I really like the way you go back in time to the thirteen days to see what happened. Their stories are interesting enough to keep me hooked, and there is only one character that has managed to get on my nerves. Which, honestly, Square Enix probably did that on purpose.
My only problems with the game...
It DOES take quite a while to actual get to a part where you get to do what you want. The story is pretty linear, and there isn't any extra stuff do, and I'm quite a bit into the game. But then, in my humble opinion, the story has me hooked enough, so I don't know that I would WANT to do anything extra. So far, there is no open world exploration (unfortunately). The enemies are actually kind of difficult sometimes, though! The behemoths are fun, and the mechs can get annoying if you don't know what you're doing.
But anyway, that was probably much longer than I should have posted, as this thread just says rate... Yeah, I have that problem xD

"vvvvvv" or "V^6"
It's a maze game. it has a old style.
I give it a 9/10.

Good points:
Level design is really really good!
It is cheap!

Bad points:
I don't like the graphics.
The game has a end ;(

Sonic Generations
Overall: 8.5/10

*POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT*
Pros:
*Going back to play classic levels as Modern Sonic is amazing (I've manage to destroy Green Hill Zone >>; )
*Classic Sonic really feels, well, like Classic Sonic should.
*Getting all the Power Ups/Bonus Effects really adds variety, especially for Classic Sonic with the four shields you can get.
*First Sonic game in years that lets you play as Super Sonic in main levels.
**Best* video game sound track of all time.
*Plenty of side missions and collectables, to keep you playing even after you beat the game (unless you get them all before hand.)
*It's all Sonic. Side characters hold possibly no side meaning whatsoever, except for Tails, who has a Classic Tails counterpart.
*Amazing visuals, sounds, and level enemies. Really has a "Sonic Universe" feel to it, without anything super extravagant.

Cons:
*Super Sonic is a Super Waste. As Classic Sonic, it's just a glorified Invulnerability, no speed boost/jump attack is given. As Modern Sonic, he goes the same speed without boosting, and when boosting allows you to skip through parts of the level, but also drains rings like crazy.
*There's a huge lack of rings, compared to Sonic Unleashed, which also makes Super Sonic as Modern Sonic a waste.
*Some of the levels they picked could be replaced with better ones from their respective games. Eg; Sonic 3&Knuckles should've been Flying Battery or Death Egg Zone. Sanctuary is one of the least memorable levels, in my opinion.
*No true difficulty curve. The first Rival Battle, being against Metal Sonic, is the hardest one, compared to Shadow or Silver. Levels are moderately easy until Planet Wisp, which is just insane.
*The final boss battle is confusing, at best. Odds are your first play through will either take you a lot of time to figure out just what to do, or you'll be lucky and finish it really fast from just mashing Boost and changing characters when you think you should.
*PC version has many issues with Configuration, and also lacks the Emulator to play the classic sonic games/levels. DS version has completely different levels, and some that are even better than the Console/PC versions. (It comes with Casino Night Zone and Mushroom Hill Zone, instead of Chemical Plant Zone and Sky Sanctuary) And has a *much* better first boss.

Merged, since the previous one isn't that old.

Indigo Prophecy - 8.5/10

I played this because it's by the same people who made Heavy Rain and has the same kind of gameplay (as an interactive drama). I enjoyed it a lot. The story was way too rushed at the end though, and the controls were a bit awkward sometimes. Still very good.

Last one for the night.

Deus Ex: Human Revolutions
9/10
Pros:
*Feels almost like you're playing the original game, just with a "modern" look.
*Great prequel for the series, though some of the Augs you get are even better than the ones in the original.
*Limitations on the Augs you can have, different mission paths, and dynamic stories give tons of replay value
*Arm swords and one-punching civilians. That's all.
*Awesome interrogation scenes. You get to really analyze the person, and the slightest right/wrong choice can really determine how it plays out.
Cons:
*Massive difficulty curve in difficulty settings. The hardest mode, "Deus Ex", is near impossible to really enjoy. "Tell Me A Story" is great for just getting that main quest, and side quests, done.
*If you loved the stealth of the old game, you may be disappointed. With only two/three silencers in the game, it's near impossible to have a "silent" approach, without using horridly underpowered weapons.
*Gun models look horridly skewed when you're holding them.
*Interrogation scenes have very little variation, and you can't skip through them quickly if you know what you want to do.
*Very small amount of weapons. Even with Pre-Order specials, you'll find yourself using the same weapon throughout the game right from the start.

Seriously, for the little I played, it was AMAZING! Storyline is great, guns and their powers are just a blast off and the life system is really realist for a game (not one of those games where it takes 50 bullets to see your life go down from half <.<)

Infamous 2 - 8/10

I like the concept of being able to play through the game choosing whether you want to be a good guy or bad guy. Much of the storyline and how you interact with people in the game is affected by your choices. But... you're kind of forced to play through the whole game twice if you want to fully appreciate both sides of the game, and there's enough that stays the same between both paths that it can be a little annoying. Some parts of the game just aren't as enjoyable as others due to being tedious or whatever, and I'd rather not have to play through those same sequences again.

Part of one of the endings also bothered me. They set up one character's personality to be a certain way, and then made them act a completely different way in the last minute of the game for no reason. It was kind of stupid.

F.E.A.R first encounter assault recon 9/10

Ive played all the fears but this one till I beat it and I will question why fear 2 and 3 were not so good. In FEAR they did something right with the gameplay and horror. fear 2 and 3 just are not as scary and the reflex kills are not as satisfying. In FEAR the gore is off the charts with being able to implode your enemys with a shotgun, sounds sick and effed up but the gore really makes the combat more intense and exciting. The story I already knew the basics but experiencing it was awesome and I now have a better understanding on why Alma (little ghost girl) is the way she is. The campaign was soooo long I loved it! fear 2 and 3 were like 8 hours. This one was...gosh Idk how long it took me a while.

Its out of date graphics were not to bad but they dont rival fear 3 or bf. Its an older game so some newer mechanics that I enjoy in shooters were not there like iron sights and stuff but nothing to complain about. Really if this game was remastered in terms of just graphics it would be an easy 10/10

Worms: Ultimate Mayhem

7.25/10

I have played the original "Worms 4 Mayhem", That was quite good. There is little difference to it. There is a new (old) campaign ported from Worms 3D, More maps to start off with, a more decently priced Shop to buy your upgrades from and even zanier voices than before. My only gripes are that they haven't brought anything new to it or brought stuff back that was awesome (like the Teleport or the Bunker Buster). All in all, you can't really go wrong with it.

The story was decent, the graphics were great and the gameplay was pretty sweet when playing as fettel. But it felt too linear, the "boss fights" were weak and disinteresting, it lacked enough horror aspects, was fairly easy to complete and it included the stereotypical FPS regenerating health nonsense. Will I play it again? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Pros- Has a very in detailed multiplayer experience that does not disappoint and keeps the common gamer occupied with many features.
The map styles and game types adapt to every style of gaming one could want, Open Warfare, Infantry only, Objectives, etc.

Cons- Downloadable updates to play online multiplayer take up ALOT of space.(about 6-7 GB of updates)

I really like it.

Okay time for more detail. The physics are great, but the simulation isn't too harsh, (I like realistic games, but not too realistic or it's too difficult XD) the graphics are amazing, and the characters are good, especially for a racing game. It starts a bit fast, but if you know how play racing games beforehand you'll be fine.

Oh and I like the sort of  personalized feel to it. Other sports games tend to be kind of soulless.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai

4/10
The game is fun, yes, but much clunkier than any of the later games. From what I found out, you have to wait to get up, and cannot dash when retreating. You also cannot quick utilize any special attacks, so everything has to be used via punch/kick combination. The character selection is dismal, and setting up custom move sets for your fighter is a good bit less streamlined. Both of the Budokai sequels were so much better; but my favorite is 3.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Sky

9.5/10

Yes, I give it a near perfect score. Why is that? This tertiary game takes the original story and tweaks it a little, with the additions of the awesome Spinda Cafe's expedition to the Shaymin Village and up the nearby mountain, and also with the Special Episodes; with "The Future of Darkness" and "Igglybuff the Prodigy" have just as much meaning and kick to them as the main storyline.

All of the characters in this game, from minor role characters to characters you see all the time, have great development and firm qualities that make them who they are; much like us as humans. Not a one is a Mary Sue, as they all have drawbacks to their personalities.

Likewise, the story is deep and meaningful, and has the right amount of plot twisting and resolve to it. The end of the main story is enough to make anyone with a deep connection to their emotions feel the slightest bit choked up, but it leaves you just as satisfied.

The mechanics of the game are straightforward and streamlined, with no important technique left out of the information or introduction. You learn how to best use things as you play, but there is no absolutely designated "success" style (as with all Pokemon games).

The only gripes I have are the fact you cannot do anything with evolutions. When you get them, everything is pretty much done. The story is complete, and you don't get to do anything with your evolution. The explanation makes sense, though. But there are absolutely no extant (as in outside of combat and movement) animations for the evolutions, either. Likewise, I dislike how few Pokemon you have to choose from for your starter/partner. I think the personality test should only break down your choices from the entire national dex, giving you at least ten different possibilities. I mean, they can write Pokedex entries for all the Pokemon; why not give little personality snippets for each of your possible options under each nature? I mean, there are only so many first evolutions to choose from. Even if some are bigger than others, and some are kinda out there, but hey, everyone's different, and why limit them to so little?

Suffers poor gun-play and in my opinion has lost some of it's post-apocalyptic touch you'll find in earlier games. But It's still good!

Platinum is like Pokemon Emerald for DS. The reason I say this is cause in Emerald you can capture Rayquayza, Kyoge and Groundon. And in Platinum you can capture Giratina, Dialga and Palkia.

Limbo - 8.5/10

Really great concept. The style of the game is very unique, and I love how dark and violent it is, lol. I wish it was longer though. It could easily be cleared in a day. I also thought the first of the game was more interesting than the second half. There were more unsuspected traps and clever tricks in the beginning, and as it got closer to the end I felt like it lost a lot of the "OMG I have to watch where I step because anything could be a trap" feeling.

Still, very enjoyable. I was glad I got it on sale though, I would have been more disappointed had I paid full price for it.

Killzone 3 was the last game I played.

It's a war based game so it appears. Half-decent shooter game. It's a bit difficult to play though because the graphics aren't what I'd call 'Spectacular.' Still, a mildly enjoyable game. I give it a 5.5/10.

last game i played was Dishonored
brilliant game but with a few problems
1- too short
2- little replay value
3- i'm personally upset with the last assassination

other than that, the gameplay is amazing!
you're practically a mixture of Enzio and Agent 47 but with added superpowers and additional ways of killing people.
the fun thing though is that it's possible to get through the game without killing anyone! even the people you're meant to assassinate as there are "non-lethal" options that often require more skill to perform.

So while you realise the fun in blinking from rooftop to rooftop, commanding the rats or possessing a bad guy... I'm giving this game a 8.9/10

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1-3.
All together: 9.3/10
Individually;
Modern Warfare: 9/10
Modern Warfare 2: 8.3/10
Modern Warfare 3: 8.8/10

So, this past week I've been sick x.x, so I picked up and played through the entire Modern Warfare series. AS you can see, I gave two kinds of scores; individual scores, and a combined score. The reason I did this is because I found that, if you play through them all in sequence and at one play-through, it really is a full, enjoyable experience. There are still some rather annoying levels (Favela >.>), but over all playing from game to game feels almost seamless. It really makes the story stick out more, and makes a lot more sense with some of those minor parts.

Individually, though, the first one is still the one that shines. It had no real "annoying" levels, and everything was pretty solid. It also has the most amount of noticeable minor details, such as being affected from being too close to tank fire, or just a tiny switch on your gun. Modern Warfare 2, though, seemed to get rid of quite a few of the minor details, in favor of having more bad guys to kill and more focus just on the action rather than the world around you. Not to mention it has possibly the worst mission in the Modern Warfare series (Favela >.>), it also recycles much from the first game, notably how people die, when they die, level sequence, etc. Modern Warfare 3 sort of picked up  what 2 had lost, with better level structure, better pacing, and a mix of all the favorite things from the past games. My only two issues with this release are that it tends to try too hard to be like an action movie, and that its plot twists are just far too obvious.

I'm not going into the multiplayer since it's far too different in terms of everyone's experiences, and I never even touched the stuff for the first game.

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - 8.9/10

I really love LoZ, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but it was an enjoyable game, the puzzles were challenging without being overly so, there's quite a bit to go around to do, and it has the same feel and art style as my favorite LoZ game, Wind Waker. I also loved the characters, especially Lineback. All of the characters contributed, and it was fun seeing how they interacted. xD I also liked how the game used all of the DS's features to engage you with the puzzles, you had to really use everything on it to find out where to go next.

What lowered its score was how there's only about 5-6 different songs throughput the whole game, and it got really tiresome listening to the same tracks over and over again. And a prevailing problem with games that you love is that it was TOO SHORT! But all in all, it was a very enjoyable game, especially for something that was a handheld and not a console game. :)

Black Ops 2: 9.5 out of 10
This is easily the best Call of Duty ever engineered. Treyarch did a fabulous job here with the inventive new TranZit mode which I have played the absolute crap out of just to see what all you could build. I haven't really played much of the campaign yet, but I like the way the story is told. It feels old-fashioned and genuine to watch Woods talk about his family and friends. The only part of the game that needs work is the matchmaking system. Multiplayer is balanced and fun, but sometimes it can be quite hard to get into a match. I guess that's the case with every new release  :P

Dead Island - 7/10
This game is basically Left 4 Dead with a free-roam, sandbox environment and quests intstead of linear levels and handling everthing as it comes. Its also leans more to melee combat instead of firearms, with ammunition being quite rare. It's set on an island and you are one of four survivors (each with a different specialty: edged, blunt, thrown weapons or firearms) on the island as the outbreak hits. Throughout the story you help various survivor groups and people stuck out in the chaos.
Gameplay mechanics are...touchy, difficult to get used to but once you hit that learning curve it gets really fun. It also allows people to randomly jump in your world and start helping you, as well as being able to connect to a friends world in progress.
Graphically it reminds me of far-cry, detailed environments and characters that are visually pleasing to the eye and not a far stretch to say life-like. Considering I found it in the 10 dollar bin at wal mart, it's definitely a game worth picking up for xbox 360, not sure about other platforms

Garrysmod 10/10
Now, I don't usually give 10/10 for games... or maybe I do, maybe I do, but there's a particular reason I give this game a 10/10. Garrysmod is not just one game, it's a portal to a whole array of games, whether you like engineering challenges try playing flood, where you have to build a boat that survives a massive flood. You like stealth games? Try prop hunt, where scientists (players) can transform into any props they want and hide while hunters (also players) have to try and find which props are human and which aren't. Like more deceptive shooters? Try trouble in terrorist town where there all the players are terrorists but a quarter of them are traitors, the traitors know who the other traitors are but the friendly terrorists don't know, the traitors have to try and take out all the other players without any other player realizing that they are in-fact the traitor, there is also a detector player who has special items to detect traitors.

It's a hundred games in one and the possibilities with the game are endless, it's also a progression, first you learn how to do silly things, then you learn how to actually build working models, then you learn how to use wire and construct computers and smart machines, you might even learn how to make your own gamemodes in Wire. For only $10 it's definitely worth a try!

Total War Shogun II, 8.5/10

I recently got gifted this from my cousin in Japan, and we played a bit of it just to pass some time, and get to know each other. The whole reason it gets an 8.5/10 is mainly because of overly powerful AI, even on the easiest of setting, and a horribly unproductive method of moving armies over seas, but this may be user flaw. Other than that, it's a great game, even if it is only set in Japan.

Walking Dead 7.5/10
You know, the games really good, the story is quite dramatic, very sad, and the character development is truly amazing and so on. It's a game that's good, but then you realize all your choices in the game actually don't make that much difference, you also realize the gameplay isn't really that interesting, and you're basically watching an interactive movie. So it looses some points to that. Watching an interactive movie would be fine if it was like heavy rain of course, cause then your choices actually do make a difference.

Assassin's Creed 3
Fangirl rating: 9/10
Objective rating: 7/10

I'm giving this one two ratings because I have some really mixed feelings about the game. As a fan of the whole AC series, and someone who has played through pretty much all of the games, AC3 pretty much met all of the (already high) expectations I had for it. The game was a blast to play, and in the end I felt it was totally worth the money I spent on it.

But... as much as I'd love to rave on and on about this game, it is incredibly easy to find flaws in it. It seemed rushed in some places. Desmond's story fell mostly flat. Connor was pretty one-dimensional as a character. There are probably a hundred bugs or glitches in the game, some of which CAN actually affect your ability to play the game. (Though there has been one patch released already so far which fixed a few. Hopefully more to come.) Some of the graphics were not as "polished" as they really should have been. Some of the side quests were a little awful. Etc. etc. etc.

I loved the game despite all of that though. The world in the game was just so breathtaking and alive that I spent a few days doing nothing but just running around exploring. The naval battles (fighting with ships!) were well done. The flow of combat was completely revamped in this game, and once I got used to it I really enjoyed the changes.

Overall, I felt like the good far outweighed the bad - which is saying something, considering everything I listed previously. That's why I want to give it a near-perfect rating, yet I know a lot of people are likely to not feel the same. I think as long as you're willing to overlook some obvious problems, I'd recommend giving it a try.

Assassin's Creed 3:
9.2

Really well put, Zeph. I personally just finished the game today and wish have to say your points we're pretty well spot on. Though I myself played on the PC version, which came with the patch pre installed and a second one included, there we're still far too many glitches for my liking. The majority were small, though they seemed more frequent toward the end game.
I was rather pleased with the story, though I think Desmond would have been better, had they more for him to do. everyone praised the ability to get out and be him again, at any time of your choosing, but unless you were doing his missions and either reading emails or listening to dialogue, there wasn't much to do. Had they perhaps included more side quests for him, it might have been better.
In terms of Connors side quests, it never felt like I had nothing to do. I *loved* the boat missions, as much as I hated playing betting games. It felt like the AI was way to one sided, often more quickly calling for a draw, then letting you win, without you being able to call for a draw yourself.

Over all, great game, and probably my new favorite next to Brotherhood. Maybe not exactly worth new/full price, but definitely used or for a discounted download.

Black Mesa Source: 8.3/10
As a fan of the half life series I have to say this is one of the best fan-made recreations I have ever seen. The detail made by these guys, who aren't even game developers, blow even blockbuster game makers out of the water. Their detail is on par with valve and that's what makes the game so good, I would give it a 10/10 for game creation. Unfortunately, half life 1 (even remade) can still be a very frustrating game, with endless hallways and tedious puzzles, so I give it an 8.3.

It's a multiplayer zombie game, what more can be said? In all seriousness, I really like the mechanics of this game, this game can be very difficult, especially on the harder difficulties, and contains a fun (but somewhat limited) set of different zombies. I believe this game does "infected" better than games such as L4D simply because the zombies (which aren't actually zombies but "infected") are proper, strong, slow, stumbling zombies
rather than hundreds of fast weak ones.

Far Cry 2: 6.4/10
Eh, it's a beautiful game even by today's standards, but it lacks a lot in gameplay and voice acting. Sure it's fun at  a base level, hiding in trees and sniping from a region, but there are so many problems with the gameplay, including repetitive gameplay, (seriously there's like, 3 different types of missions. Assassinate this person, blow up this building or destroy this convoy), extremely difficult transportation (I mean, with the guard posts in place GETTING to the mission objective is harder than the objective itself!) and various other problems, including wildlife being a basic backdrop. Guns work well but the enemies act as bullet sponges being able to take several AK-47 shots to the face without even so much as a flinch. Driving is fun, but it's hard to drive well when being shot at by 3 other cars following you and the multiplayer is pretty basic and meh. I'm getting Far cry 3 soon so hopefully that's better, all in all though, far cry 2 is still a playable and decent game.

Far Cry 3
9.9/10

I'm absolutely loving this game. I've already lost hours into it, and plan on losing plenty more. The graphics are amazing, possibly the best for any open world game I've seen. Shooting feels very tight, as well as all the survival aspects.
The only thing that I'm disliking, is running into those random animals that tend to just kill you. Regardless of shooting them in the head with your sniper rifle, thus the missing .1

Far Cry 3:
9.2/10

This game is fantastic, look at Nic's post for all the positives it's time for the negatives. The largest negative about the game is that it does get repetitive after a while of playing, then again I've been doing all the side missions, but it seems like I take outpost, kill guy with knife, hunt <animal> with <weapon>, climb a tower and start the process again. It's really fun at first but becomes a bit of a grind after a while. The other negative is that the game is really easy, I dunno, it might just be for me, but I'm playing on Warrior difficulty and it really isn't that much of a challenge, the stealth still seem somewhat rewarding, but getting through a base without being detected is no where near as rewarding as it was for Far Cry 2, as that game really made you work for it. Besides these points, it's probably the best game I've played this year, so definitely worth a try.

Civ IV: 9/10

Civ IV gets it's 9/10, because unlike most other Civs, you can have a good game that will last for as long as your computer can handle it. Unlike Civ V, it can be saved when there is no possible victory, or when there is one, none of the AI rush to get it and simply become a**-***s. You can also hold a sizeable military, as seeing in V you can only have one army per block, and even then the wars are sketchy, unorganized, drawn out, and just generally irritating. Even if you like them. In Civ IV, the global warming, collapse, large-scale nuclear war, and eventual reduction of humanity to small coastal cities, where everything inland is nuclear wastes is fun. I love ruling an Empire through its birth, growth, adulthood, and even until the AI bests me, or the world is so uninhabitable, no one wants to fight. To me, it's only flaw is the lack of the ability to use your workers to rebuild the land and terraform, this would make recovering from nuclear wars of simply natural global warming, much easier, and not an unseen process. (I've only played until most of the world was desert, I'm unsure if the planet actually fixes itself.)

All in all, I love it, and have logged six months of play-time.

There are 3 words that describe this game: keys, doors, and crappy camera angles. I have barely made it past the part where you get the shotgun because it's just one of those games for me where I inch foward every 5 minutes in fear of being bitten by some zombie!
But I have to admit, the voice acting although bad, is too hilarious! Jill sandwich??? I nearly cried when Barry said that. And I've almost peed down my leg like 10 times because of all of the crappy room angles. AND THE KEYS! There are too many! This game is frustrating, but in a good way.

I used to be a massive CoD fan, but after Black Ops was released I found the series had lost the MW and MW2 gameplay. I loved CoD 4 and after MW2 came out I rarely put it down. I did pla Black Ops quite a bit, but when it came to buy a new shooter, MW3 just wasn't an option for me. I bought BF3 and have hardly looked back since.

I love the realism of this game, the audio is down right pee-m-pants scary when cranked with good bass. There are so many guns, that after hundreds of hours of gamepla IJm only getting close to unlocking basic attachments for them. The bullet physics blow my mind, and the destructible environments allow me to keep campers from holing up in a spot for too long.

Then there are the vehicles. This is easily, for me at least, the most fun part of this game. Rolling in with heavy armour and anhialating six guys in about ten seconds is just awesome. Both types of choppers are ridiculously fun to fly, and dog fighting in a jet...nothing compares to it. I only knock off points for this game because sometimes ou just get CRAPPED on. You generally need good teammates and I find a lot of people don't understand the tactical side of the game, flanking, holding chokepoints, general teamwork etc. A lot just run in guns blazing, all alone, and die.

If anyone else has a love for this game and is looking for squad mates on xbox live should PM me.

Scribblenauts Unlimited 8.8/10

I've done some interesting things. I've dried a floor with a flamethrower, got a zombie, flaming, electric, mutant, ninja turtle to raid a rock flaming rock concert, I made a Luggz, a lyle, a leiton, a siggidy, an anoni and a wolgonpyre as well as a doombug, essentially a bug that spits out constant fire, is invincible, and shoots black holes that detonate in nuclear explosions... rapid fire. Despite all this craziness, I can see the game getting boring quickly, due to a lack of challenge and multiplayer, I still definitely recommend this game for anyone who wants to have some fun!

BIT.TRIP CORE 6.5/10
It's a very difficult and trollish game! It's fun, but very trollish, similar to BIT.TRIP BEAT but so far considerably harder

BIT.TRIP RUNNER 8/10
This game is a little more stereotypical of an indie game, it has some very nice music and is easier than both BIT.TRIP CORE and BIT.TRIP BEAT, so I like this game!

Got my tail kicked... but still. The game looks cool, my grandfather likes it, and I like how many playable characters there are.

Spec ops: The line 8.2/10

This game seems like a very generic shooter at first, the gameplay is repetitive, it's essentially a mix of Call of Duty and gears of war. But it's the story of the game, the thrill, and the message, that gets you. You do not come out the hero, you come out deeply disturbed, you come out realizing the truth, not just about the game but about yourself. When you realize the game is not an FPS shooter, it's an ART game, the poor FPS mechanics quite possibly there on PURPOSE to show you how unrealistic the modern shooter is, to show you how we always want to be the hero. This game will leave you in thought, something not many games can do, but no matter how much you want to be, you will find yourself fighting yourself and I don't mean that as an ingame mechanic.

Regardless, whatever the reason for it there being, it still had quite poor gameplay mechanics so I had to minus a lot of points for that.

Deadlight. 8/10.

It was shorter than I thought but it's an indie game so it's somewhat to be expected. I enjoyed the the gameplay aswell as the story. If you've ever played Limbo, you won't be foreign of the controls. That said, it's basically a puzzle game infused with survival horror. One big plus is the game's great soundtrack.

Forza Horizon.
11/10
I could go on and on about how much I love this game, but here's my usual praise for the just the highlights.
I LOVE the way the cars handle. Instead of going for absolute realism like they normally do, they made the cars handle the way they should, so it's like driving in a perfect world. Even driving cars like the Hummer is a lot of fun. They dampened things like the impacts between cars, making it less of a harsh simulator, and more of a realistic arcade racer, something that hasn't  really been done before.
While pretty sexualized, the characters are a great addition, it's a lot more fun to race a polite yet aggresive prince or a party animal than a faceless name.  I also like how the main character isn't always in uniform, and when he is, he still keeps a civilian, almost casual look to him. They did an especially good job making the mechanic, Dak, believable but not in any way boring.

The mood an general presentation of the game is probably my favorite thing about it, Forza always felt too...professional to me, but this lighthearted, fun, party-like feel makes the game an altogether wonderful experience.

Sorry for blabbering on so long,  XD  there's just a lot to say about this game! If you have an Xbox, you should definitely pick it up.  :D

Ooooh. You have just talked me out of buying Forza, I prefer realism in racing games. To me, cars should react the way they would in real life, like the way FWD cars have a tendancy to understeer if pushed too hard. I could go on and on but this isn't the place XD

Last game I played was Black Ops
7/10
Single player was awful in my opinion, didn't like it much at all, however I think it redeemed it's self in the multiplayer.

COD: Black Ops 2 6.5/10. It was a major step up from the other COD's. Like the factor of choice in single player. And the single player in this one also felt like it lasted more than 15 minutes, but it still heavily relied on explosions and what-not to keep you entertained. Multiplayer was not any differnt at its core, but it had a lot of new guns, not the same ones that looked slightly differnt and sounded like space guns (MW3). Zombies was never really broken/changed majorly, but the addition of greif and tranzit are pretty cool pretty much re-writing the usual way you would play. But its still using the same engine and using the same method of only slighly improving the graphics. All in all its pretty good but in itself, Its still just another COD but not as much. 6.5/10

I just mean things like the loss of control cause by physical effects like driving off the road (on flat ground obviously) is dampened in a way I found enjoyable. In my experience, the cars were consistent in handling like they way they were in Forza 4.  Of course, Horizon still isn't exactly the game I'd suggest for absolute realism... XD
In that case I'd stick with the original series, but you don't have to take my word for it, there's a free demo.

For consistency, Contra. I'll say 8.2/10
While short, the game is insanely fun and amazing at arcades, I also love the co-op, it's not too often co-op in classic games has much of an explanation or unique characters.
I also love the weapons, they add another dimension to the game you didn't often see back then.
The boss battles were spectacular, if not very difficult. (Or maybe me and my friend play it too much.)
The only reason I didn't give a higher rating is because it was a bit  too much run n' gun, and it makes bad guys a bit too simple to kill. (The first boss's entire armor is the same resistance, and similar hitbox scenarios.)
The art was impressive though.

On an unrelated note this browser's driving me frickin' insane!

Damn, I don't even know what to say about this one....
-The graphics are very good, beads of sweat, scars, and blood really stand out on the character models.
-The location is beautiful, it's a very unique setting
-The gameplay is fun but it lacks innovation
-The storytelling..... Well, I expected another generic "MURICA **** YEAH" scenerio but it turned into something much darker, and much more engaging.
(Don't look if you haven't played)
The Amazing graphics also worked in other situations, if you've played then you surely remember the scene where delta uses the phosphorus mortar and burns the innocent civilians. Scenes like that (and there were several) intensified my empathy for the character in the detail of the victims. I truly felt horrified at what I had done.

Dishonored - 6.5/10

Long-winded review incoming.

I have very mixed feelings about this game. I really wanted to like it, and it did a lot of things right, but there were a few big things that kept me from enjoying it.

The characters were very good, the story was at least half decent, and I liked the concepts behind it. Some of the weapons and powers were pretty fun, and I liked how versatile the game can be depending on the choices you make.

The game wasn't quite what I had hoped it would be though. I wasn't a fan of the first person perspective, but I pretty much always prefer third person games. The overall appearance of the game wasn't as dark and grungy as it should have been either, to better suit the dark and violent story. Everything looked a little too bright and cartoony to me.

But what I really hated was the stealth. Or lack thereof, I guess. I really, really wanted to play my first time through trying not to kill people, and I wanted to get the happy ending. Instead, I spent 90% of the game being frustrated because nothing ever worked the way it should have, and it was infuriating.

Guards can sometimes miraculously spot you even when you should damn well be hidden from their view. If you accidentally alert one guard, not only do the closest nearby guards come attack you, but practically every other single guard in the entire level is after you all at once. And if you try to hide, they somehow still magically know exactly where you are half the time. The instruction booklet for the game also specifically says that you can throw grenades or bottles or whatever to draw a guard's attention to that place, but every time I tried it they went in the other direction, straight after me, instead.

Not to mention that the tutorials or clues on how to do anything are very few and far between. And even though they give you a variety of about 60 different ways to kill a person, you're only limited to two options for nonviolent takedowns: sleep darts (which you only can get in very limited amounts), or choking a person from behind without them noticing you.

They made it wayyyy too hard to stay hidden and nonviolent. And once you're unhidden, there's very little hope left that you can avoid killing people and get the happy ending. I understand they want the game to be challenging, but if I'm choosing to play the game on Easy mode, it really should not have been THAT difficult. By the time I got to the last few missions, I couldn't wait to just be done with it. I gave up trying to be a good guy and ran through the last missions just killing everyone, and that was actually the most fun I had in the game.

If I could do it again, I wish I had just been a murder machine from the beginning instead of wasting time trying and failing to be a good guy. It probably would have been a much better gaming experience.

DMC - Devil May Cry 8.5/10

I really liked this game and it kept me thrilled for time I spent playing it. I could feel the adrenaline pumping as I broke the keys on my keyboard, trying to mash insane combos and not die at the same time.
Before this game came out, everyone was saying "Uhh... dante has black hair now and TOTALY SUCKS!!1!11 pthhhh".
Yes Dante was modelled after a high ranking member of staff, but then does it matter? Dante in this game is a total badass regardless and I struggled to contain laughter during the first level of the game due to just how epic it was.
Also I can say now that THIS GAME IS NOT SET IN A DIFFERENT UNIVERSE BUT IS A SIMPLE RE-BOOT OF HOW DANTE CAME TO BE. It leads straight onto Devil May Cry 3.

It won't get full marks though due to the shortness of the game, the lack of content due to it being left to DLC and I couldn't find any re-play value, simply because YOU CAN'T SKIP THE FRIKING LONG ASS CUT SCENES!

Also for those who really want to know regarding how it fits in with the other games(serious spoilers):
Dante has white hair in the end as a side-effect of releasing the true potential of his Devil Trigger in the final fight against Vergil

Deadspace 3 6.5/10

I really liked the first game and how much it scared the hell out of me. Deadspace 3 however for me was about as scary as... a not very scary thing.
The Game started out pretty good though and you can ask a few people about how I reacted over skype. I loved how you can make your own guns and customize them beyond belief. The basic idea behind the gun crafting is that you have a big or small gun frame and depending on which frame you use for the gun modules, depends on what it does. For example the plasma engine on the small frame is our favourite plasma cutter, however on the big frame, it's an air cannon that can send enemies flying. The other key element of gun crafting is that you can put two gun modules on a single frame (one as primary fire and one as alt) so you can pretty much have a rocket launcher/shotgun. There are also many modifications for the guns like stasis bullets.

The gun crafting however was all that made the game fun for me. If I could put the game into 3 words: Too many Necromorphs.
"WOAH WOAH WOAH... what are you saying... game too hard for you?" you may be thinking... nope, but the enemy placement is roughly on par with Mt.Moon from pokemon red and it seriously just reaches a point where it just drags oonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...
It just becomes annoying and having played only the first one before (though i did play a good bit of ds 2 as a friend's house) , I could FEEL the difference in combat and enemy placement and general level design. The only good thing about the level design is the outside environment... yea... the skybox...

You can get this game if you want. It's really not all that bad and the storyline is okayish. It just feels as though they took the good bits from 1 and 2 then mashed them through a grinder and hoped it would work. IT even has a bit where you have to run away from the regenerating necromorphs. Only instead of killing it with a ship's engine, you have to try not be killed by a ship's engine while it walks through the blazing inferno freely.

I also want to say that it lost points too in re-playability because... YOU CAN'T SKIP THE FRIKING LONG ASS CUT SCENES!

Sonic: Colours 9/10

Sonic team... have finally made a good modern sonic game...
Get it if you love sonic, it really is a must have. Though keep it in mind that it was only released on the Nintendo Wii and DS.
Seriously though, it honestly seems that Sonic team have had some sort of intervention.
Seriously just go play it for yourself... especially if you're a fan of the classic genesis games or the Adventure series.

The Walking Dead - 9.5/10

The Walking Dead game is a DLC game that takes place in the same universe as the TV show and comic of the same name. It's pretty short; it consists of five "episodes" which take about 2 hours each (give or take) to play through. It is a fantastic game though, I can't recommend it highly enough. Especially since all five episodes are only about $20 altogether. I haven't watched the Walking Dead show or read the comic, I'm actually not at all a fan of zombie stories or games in general, but a friend made me play through this game anyway. The story focuses on different characters than the show/comic, so you don't have to watch/read it before playing this game.

The gameplay is a LOT like Heavy Rain. Anyone who knows me knows that Heavy Rain is my absolute favorite game, and this game has become one of my favorites for many of the same reasons. The writing for the game is excellent. You find yourself developing a lot of strong feelings about most (if not all) of them. Throughout the game you have to make choices about how you want to develop your relationship with each of your fellow survivors. Characters will act and respond differently toward you depending on how you act toward them.

Although there are several different ways each scene in the game can play out, there isn't quite as much variety to it as there is in Heavy Rain. The overall story is the same, the main plot points are generally all the same, but the dialogue and character relationships can vary quite a bit.

There were only a few minor things that kept me from giving this a 10/10. Controls are a little bit awkward, in my opinion. Your movements around the environment are very limited. Most interactions come from clicking on points of interest on the screen, much like a point-and-click game. It might be boring to some people, although they do in fact have ways to make the point-and-click action pretty intense when you're fighting off zombies. The animation is kind of poor quality and bothered me sometimes. The art style of the game helped that a bit though; it's stylized to look like a comic book, so it wasn't aiming for realism. All of the drawbacks were pretty minor and easy to overlook.

Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable game, and the story is sure to hit you right in the feels. Definitely worth the purchase.

Far Cry 3
Over all: 9.5 - 10
Short and simple, this game has surprised me with almost every turn I took, and places I went too, I highly recommend buying this game as a pre-owned for the co-op is not all that needed.

Story Line: 9.5 - 10
Far Cry three.... When they used the word cry in the title, thats what I felt like doing at atleast three parts during the game. From the very beginning I was hooked on the story line. Out of most other games, this one I can say with pride that it has moved away from most normal story lines and gave something new, something that you feel is worth fighting for through it all. There might be others that do just this, but how well they molded the story is something to be praised.

Landscape/Combat: 9 - 10
Far Cry 3 is one of those games that really does let you go almost anywhere you can think of. Lakes, rivers, and oceans are traversable by under water and above water by means of boats. You can also move by air, but only by hand glider, parachutes, and a glide suit you get later on in the campaign. The game is mostly consumed by vast forests, that change throughout the entire island(s). In all, Far Cry 3 includes almost every type of terrain one could think of such as, caves, cliffs, reaveans, mountains, valleys, plains, jungles, oceans, ruins, and even small bits of urban combat with plenty of explosions.

The combat system is well adapted to the terrain it was made for. The best part of it in my opinion is the sneaking system that lets you traverse the landscape virtually undetected, allowing you the assassinate entire outposts without being seen or detected. The more you level up you also gain extra perks such as being able to use an enemy knife to throw, and kill another enemy as well as chain kills, drop assassinations, and takedowns from below from in water or on land. But thats not it, there are also weapons that give you the option to add silencers, night vision scopes, extra powerful scopes that you toggle, ammo clips, sights, and for the bow, explosive and fire arrows.

Aside from the normal combat system you also have hunting. Unlike normal NPC's excepting dogs, wild animals will be extremely hard to sneak up on and will flee the instint they are fired upon or shot at, even with a silenced weapon if you miss. This makes things as real as they can be and if you are to attack predictor species of animals, they will also begin to attack and mawl you.

Visuals/Audio/Cinematic: 10 - 10
For including so many features in one im not sure where to begin, so I will start with what you see the most, jungles. The jungles in this game make up atleast 80% of the game and are so well made, that when you run through the brush, they will get pushed out of your way, make wrustling noises, and even alert enemy if you move too hastily. An added bonus with vegetation is its burnable, yep, burnable. That means if your not careful, an enemy can throw a molotov into a patch of forest you are hiding in, and literally burn you out of it, setting huge chunks of woods on fire.

Im not too sure how many people have good headphones such as Turtle Beaches or Trittons, but when playing a game like this, they are the best. Surround sound you can hear gun shots behind you, fire infront of you, and shouts and voices everywhere else. Gunshots are as realistic as they can get and voices are as unique as the story line.

As for all the cinema scenes, I can't even begin to describe how crazy it is. Most of the cinema you go through will have bits of action to where you press buttons and move, others are pure design that are brought on by the taking of drugs.(Do not try that EVER) When with this one tribe to become a warrior, you are taken through trials to prove your strength and more then once, you are exposed to a toxin that messes with your mind. The scenes you see are as rich as they can get, but the fire seems a bit fake on some of them, thought that hardly matters with the rest of the game.

Extras: 7 - 10
Along the lines of extras, this includes perks that you get, additional items, and other functions that are considered to be bonuses or part of the game. One of these is the hunting and  gathering system. With this one you are able to hunt down the native animals on the island and skin them for there hides and meat. You don't eat them but you use them for crafting addition storage for weapons, ammo, explosives, arrows, and so on. You also are able to harvest plants and use those for various medicines and performance enhancing drugs for hunting, taking damage, and so on.

Another good system is the various weapons and customization. For each gun you hand the option to add parts such as silencers, sights, enlarged clips, and even the camo on your gun. The only bad thing about this is the lack of weapons and the choices. As you go along the game and unlock new guns, no one gun is as good as the other, there is always going to be a better one then the previous until you find the best of them all, therefore it kind of forces you to use the best. Of course you don't need to, but you sacrifice look for effectiveness. A good pick all around though is the bow as it is a silenced weapon by default, and has the ability to use fire and explosive arrows by crafting together grenades or molotoves with arrows.

L.A. Noire - 3/10

I flat out just did not enjoy this game. It's undeniable that the technology used to create the realistic facial expressions is impressive, but that technology alone is nowhere near enough to make this a good game, and everything else fell flat to me.

L.A. Noire was one of the most boring games I have ever played. I'm not even the kind of person who is bored by frequent cutscenes and stuff like that. If a half-decent story is there, I'm more than happy to sit through a slow-paced game with little action, but this game didn't even have that. I couldn't care less about the story or anything going on in the game. I couldn't care less about the characters or what happened to them. Most of the characters in the game are assholes, and the main character you play is about as dull and flat as a wooden plank.

The game has an open world, but it's completely pointless. There's hardly any incentive to explore the world because the game's story itself is completely linear and you're almost always going from Point A to Point B. The game likes to pretend like your choices in the game and how you perform your interrogations affect how the story plays out, but it doesn't really. Not enough to make it interesting anyway. You will solve the case if you're supposed to solve it, no matter how terribly you fail at the missions. And you will fail the case if you're supposed to fail, no matter how hard you try to get it right. I'm not even going to get into all of my frustrations with how the interrogations function, but it could have been done so much better than it was.

On top of all that, I didn't feel "rewarded" for anything I did in the game. The police chief handed out promotions to me left and right for the stupidest things most of the time. The ONE case that I actually did start to care about had a terrible ending and completely ruined that small amount of satisfaction I had.

The only reason I bothered to play through the full game at all is because I hate to leave games unfinished. I really don't understand how this game got as many good reviews as it has. The three points I gave it for a score are only because the graphics and animation look nice, and the soundtrack suited the game well.

Sonic Riders - 6 / 10

Okay, by any standard, this game is just a cart racer with a twist. Interesting, but hardly. The game is good, the story is kinda random - as in it just comes out of nowhere in the Sonic Realm - are they on Mobius (probably) or Earth? The Extreme Gear is also random; just kinda suddenly becoming the next big hit after one day or so, yet the Rogues have had them for ages? K. Not to mention, the story is horribly short, which sucks - because the game gets kinda bland alone.

Now why does this get a six and not a lower score? It has a good balance of challenge and simplicity. The game's difficulty progresses well, and the gameplay is absolutely smooth, minus some bits of the hit detection. The mission mode after the game is pretty sweet, but can be quite tedious in several cases. However, the reward for completing the missions is quite worth it, especially if you get all Gold medals - Super Sonic, folks. Not to mention all the interesting character cameos  - Nights, Aiai and Ulala from Nights, Monkey Ball and Space Channel five, respectively. Not to mention the pretty decent selection of gear you can use - the legendary gears suck, though.

The gameplay is not only smooth, but every character is leveled out. Super Sonic may be ungodly fast, but he can only use rings, much harder to refill than the air that all other characters use, and while the Fastest (a gear choice) may be even faster than that, it has absolutely no cornering or boost ability, and so on. Different characters have different abilities, some being better for different stages, but all having a fair chance - some areas even slow you up more than move you forward, while others are shortcuts. Sadly, this game loses replay value after you get all the gears and all the medals, if you play it alone. Get some friends, and that replay value returns.

That would be why this game earned a six. A meager score, but better than Heroes or '06 could even dream of.

See, I quite enjoyed Sonic Riders, up until I did all the mission/side quest things. I'm quite the completionist when it comes to these sort of things, and to be fair, a few of the missions had me grinding my teeth too often.

So, to add a review, I'm gonna have to add Halo 4 from myself.

Just to say this right now: THIS ISN'T FOR THE CAMPAIGN. My friend wants to wait to play the campaign until this weekend, so I will only be basing this part of my review on it for the Forge and Multiplayer aspects.

Over all (thus far):9
I loved Halo. I loved Halo 2. I mildly enjoyed Halo 3. I think they should've done a better job on ODST. I freaking loved Halo Reach. Reach was my all time favorite Halo game, specifically for the Forge mode, and the multiplayer with the armory and all of that. Reach, I give about a 9 just on those aspects, so it goes to show how On-Par 4 is for myself.

Forge: 7
I'm not happy with Forge. I'm not saying it's awful, but it's not at all better. First, the forge map options. If you aren't on the three forge-specific maps, then forging isn't going to have many options. The forge-specific maps, though a bit large, don't offer near as much variety as Forge World did. I loved making large land-esque maps, but there's no real option for flatish land. That, and I would've liked to see them raise the cap on item limits. Come on, less than a hundred available walls/windows?

Multiplayer: 9
First off, I'm glad they put Grifball on matchmaking. Also, it just really feels much more honed than Halo Reach. Not to mention I love the new armory and load out options. My main playlists are CTF and SWAT, though I also dable in Flood and Oddball, too.

Honestly, I own Reach, and I'd rather wait for Halo 4 to get cheaper before I spent my own money on it, but my friends own the game and I always play theirs, so it's no skin off my nose ;3
And I'll edit this to include the single player after this weekend~

Metal Gear Rising: Reveangance   9/10

Really awesome game with stunning graphics. Very fast paced and very smooth. It's extremely challenging, and the Trophies/Achievements really make things interesting. Unlike the main MGS games, MGR optional missions (VR missions) are actually hard. Story runs really awesome, too. If anyone is a fan or follower of the Metal Gear series, it'll fill in quite a few cracks and questions everyone's had about Raiden between Sons of Liberty and Guns of the Patriots, and AFTER Guns of the Patriots. Another great thing about the game is that the element of Stealth is still a great part of the game, and brings great rewards if you're successful. Of course, running through and raising hell also has its rewards. By taking on all fights, you gain access to all optional story missions and can get the chance to get an A or even S rank for the chapter.

However, the only thing that's a problem is Raiden's graphics (and ONLY Raiden) in the prologue, and the terrible victory stance (only choppy motion in the entire game. it's bullshit. Kickass graphics, motion, action and fights. But as a victory pose, motion glitches like first gen Counter-Strike while running on Dial-up.).

I haven't played through the entirety of Deus Ex Human Revolution yet, but from what I have seen and played, it is a fantastic game! From the stylish visuals to the sleek stealth and combat mechanics, the game is a joy to play. The fact that it tackles transhumanism in a very well done manner is also a great plus. If you're looking for a game to make you think this is a fine example of one.  ^_^

Ico (HD version for PS3) - 7/10

Ico isn't as well-known as its successor, Shadow of the Colossus. They both were originally for PS2 and were both recently remastered in HD for the PS3. I played both on the PS2, but I liked the games and wanted to buy the HD versions. I haven't gotten around to replaying Shadow of the Colossus though, so this is mostly talking about Ico.

The renewed graphics are lovely. Granted, you can tell it was a PS2 game, but it still can easily hold its own amongst current-generation games.

The game itself is good. The whole game basically functions like one giant Legend of Zelda temple, involving lots of puzzles to get from Point A to Point B. Some of them can really stump you. The story is pretty simple and vague though, and there isn't much to say about the few enemies that exist in the game.

The only thing that I really dislike about this game though is the camera. You have very little control of the camera, and the camera tends to view your character from about three miles away. It can be difficult to properly see where you're going or know what you're doing when you're little more than a small smudge on the screen. It does give you some nice views of the environment though, I guess.

I personally prefer Shadow of the Colossus over Ico, but Ico is worth playing. Anyone who likes dungeon puzzle sort of things would enjoy Ico.

NFS MW for Android - 6/10 my tablet (Note 10.1) is capable of more graphical/physics function but because it was designed for several different Android devices it seems to a lack a bit compared to the other 3D, although that saves some space I guess, gameplay was average to the other games, ok to play if bored.

Last game I played through all the way was "I have no mouth, and I must scream". For a DOS point and click game, it certainly gave me the willies. Not the gameplay itself, but the themes behind it. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 8/10 for being awkwardly scary. Plus I love the voice acting.

Alright! I managed to get my full playthrough of Halo 4 in.

My final verdict; 8/10

I think the most enjoyable aspect of the entire single player, was the relationship between Master Chief and Cortana. Other than that, it felt rather bland. For being 343's first official entry in the Halo series, it was amazing, but stacked up against the others, it was just at Par. They're saying Halo 5 will be twice as good, at least, and I'm really hoping they manage to "Halo 2" it.

WWE '13

8/10

The Attitude Era mode was fun (the Historical Bonus objectives were at times fun, sometimes annoying to complete), I still don't understand the WWE Universe mode (or how to get the Trophies in them), the vast selection of wrestlers is impressive. However, the biggest letdown is that they all basically use the same moveset (grappling your opponent and pushing a certain button will cause a move that is the same for every wrestler. i.e. grappling and pusing the down button will always result in a trip and leg attack.)

The Legend of Spyro - A New Beginning: 8.5/10

Oh. My God. I was not expecting this game to be as good as it was. Yeah yeah, late to the scene, whatever. I never had a Playstation, really, and you don't exactly have much money when you're twelve or even thirteen and don't earn an allowance. I never had the chance to, and my God do I wish I had. Honestly, the game flows well and has solid gameplay, it feels like the original Spyro games with an added beat-em-up element. Characters are interesting enough (though Sparx does get a little... pesky? Yeah, pesky), the dark and harsh story of the game, the different breath attacks, the fun and easy combat... Honestly, loving every second of it.

I personally love both TLoS and the original games equally, but for their different reasons. Other than the fact that the games are just plain fuuuuuuun. The original ones really make me just feel... happy! I cannot be upset or even sad playing the first three games, and it's a wonderful way for me to unwind sometimes. But A New Beginning, this game is just so satisfying. It has a reasonable story, and good cast of characters (thus far), you feel damn great kicking the shit out of the enemies, even if the fighting can be a little repetitive at times.

Only two gripes about this game. Number one, it's quite linear, a stark contrast to the original games that allowed you to go anywhere you please and in no particular order. Number two, the lack of cqc options. I do understand they had limited buttons to work with, but still, there could have been a little more.

But, really. Loving this game for many reasons. I've been a fan of Spyro for as long as Pokemon (fifteen years), and I'm so happy this new addition to the games is as good as it is.

Another game I played was "The Path" and I wasn't expecting much of it. Holy hell I was wrong.

The main menu is an apartment in which you select a character based on little red riding hood, each is a different age. After selecting, you are sent to the woods to get to granny's house. You can travel into the woods and find the "wolf", or each of the girls' deaths. Example: the youngest girl meets a 'werewolf' and proceeds to 'ride' him, which may or may not be a rape metaphor, I kinda see that. The game is incredibly simple, yet very deep and somewhat disturbing. 8.9/10 for me.

Splinter Cell Blacklist: 7.5/10

I was very skeptical about picking this title up. I didn't "dislike" Conviction, but I didn't enjoy the essential genre-shift from stealth to action with a bit of stealth.

To start, no Michael Ironside. No, I'm not taking points off for that but whenever Fisher sounds like he's angry now he sounds like he's trying to be Batman or he's Constipated. Ironside really defined the Splinter Cell character in both mood and tone, and that's something no one can ever really replace. Thankfully he talks so quietly that you don't really have to worry about it.

Graphics:
This is the best looking Splinter Cell to date, simple as that. They got rid of that crap monochrome-while-in-shadows effect so now the game really works well. Simple as that. There were very few areas where I went "Wow, that quality is crap." Not much else to really say there.

AI:
The AI have certainly been improved, they're much more fluid. However the appearance of Super AI is annoying. You know, the kind that see you outside a 90 degree angle of their vision, or the Super Dogs (UGH SUPER DOGS) that sniff you out from 30 feet away throw concrete walls and can open doors themselves. There have been moments where buggy AI, or non-responsive AI have really hampered the immersion. It's annoying when you throw a Sticky Noisemaker not five feet away from one and they're just "Herpaderpa gonna keep looking in your direction till you come out though I don't know you're there."

Gear/Weapons/Customization:
Wow. Just wow. Lots of customization here. And it appeals to however you wanna play, stealthy or aggressively, or both. My favorite tool to use is the Tri-Rotor, which is like a mini stealth UAV with STICKY SHOCKERS. I missed those things from Pre-Conviction time. My only problem with it is the buggy areas where the game tells you you're leaving the mission area, when you aren't close to that. There's some gear you just never use, like the Sticky Camera (if you get the Sonar Goggles early on), and if you go for just stealth you'll never use Frags or anything like that, but that means you can save that money. Yes, there's money, but you earn it with each mission and if you play good you get tons (I averaged about $150,000 each mission, not including side objectives.)

The only gripe I have is the DLC. No, just no. I hate having to look at things in the armory that I CAN have, and CAN look at, but CAN'T touch unless I put real money into it or use UPlay (which I won't.) Seriously, I'm gonna download a trainer or something so I can just unlock the rest >.>

Story/Gameplay:
This is where it all matters. Story wise, it's actually pretty solid. I won't go into too much detail but simply put this is the first Splinter Cell game where I've felt that the enemy could actually get the best of me. This isn't just some crooked politician or anything like that. But I will say, there will be another Splinter Cell game for sure.

Gameplay wise, aside from anything I've already mentioned, this feels like a step in the right direction. They're slowly making their way back to the brilliance that was Chaos Theory, though there were too many missions where I felt they forced killing on me. There are missions that force stealth too, but those are, well, more fun. More rewarding, and less annoying. Getting caught in a stealth mission actually doesn't feel as bad because, well, you're supposed to be stealthy. But on those missions where your only option is being lethal, and you get caught sneaking around, you find yourself frustrated while hordes of enemies surround and kill you. You do not want to be caught in a large firefight, you will die, regardless. Yes you can increase bullet resistance (for the cost of losing stealth) but think of it more as just a way to buy some time while you escape to a vent.

The other problem is online. Such a huge focus for it. A lot of side missions can only be done using Co-op, which restricts you from 100% if you don't have a couch buddy or wanna deal with random strangers through matchmaking. I haven't touched the Co-op, or Mercs Vs Spies, But I really don't plan to. Splinter Cell has always been a Single Player game to me. The co-op seems fun, and maybe I'll try it when any of my friends are here, but none of them are really into the stealth-genre so it'll be a bit difficult to really have someone to be immersed with.

Overall it's a more solid Splinter Cell game than the last one was, I'm already getting ready to do my next playthrough on Realistic (which is supposed to feel more like a "classic Splinter Cell feel.) I'd definitely recommend it as a buy to people who have the money and want to keep with the series, but unless you have someone you can experience it with, wait for a price drop or Steam Sale.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Campaign - 9/10
The single player mode has a great storyline. Despite it breaking from tradition and taking place in the future rather than the past or present, fans of the first game would find it easy to be immersed in the story. Also, the addition of alternate story lines based on how well you play and what you choose to do in certain points of the game makes it more interesting with different results at the end and even what objectives you need to complete. The only problem with the game mode is the fact that this is the only game in existence that you can play offline and still get lag once or twice per mission.

Zombies - 10/10
Much more challenging and runs a story following 4 new characters on 3 escapades. Runs as a continuation of Richtofen's and Maxis' missions to try to take over the ETHER and master time while facing against Samantha by helping these 4 souls trapped in the zombie apocalypse of the present. The final map pack brings us back to the origin of this whole conflict, connecting the dots and explaining what happened before World at War. However, there is 1 map that is completely separate in terms of story, still being very fun and challenging in its own way. As with all previous Zombie modes, the music Easter Eggs are as epic as ever, and the maps extremely creative in their own rights. Challenges and Easter Eggs are more challenging and more entertaining than before, giving you the chance to follow Richtofen's advice or Maxis' advice, getting different conclusions, and affecting the Easter Eggs of the 3rd map pack. Weapons are more intricate and redone to prevent being too OP (*cough* Wonder Waffle *cough*), but have added more to the game modes. One of the best additions is allowing weapons you can find in multiplayer to be Pack-a-Punched more than once for different attachments that could make the weapons better or worse. All in all, very satisfying.

Multiplayer - 6/10
As you can see, pretty disappointing. Prestiging, like in Modern Warfare 3, has become even easier than the previous release. Like with previous games, you find people with no skills and big mouths. Matchmaking isn't the best in the world, leaving you with players with potentially a 100mbps ping difference. However, the biggest flaw is Treyarch's decision to make this the first game where lag compensation favors people with lesser internet. If you have good internet, there's a good chance you'll get screwed. Also, this is the first game that actually removes game modes with no valid reason and adds different ones that the public generally rejects. The design of the game has made it harder to complete challenges and get camos/skins, making it a lot more satisfying when you DO earn something, but has also spawned a higher rate of cheaters who can't earn anything and have to glitch/hack their way to get things. New maps are nice, and the challenges keep the rating up, but even the new maps are still a bit shoddy as there's a percentage that's remakes of older maps, signs of the designers being lazy. However, the biggest thing is that any skilled FPS veteran can completely dominate any room. 95% of players you meet will camp the whole game, 50% of those in all the common spots, and the other 50% in the EXACT same spot. It's very easy for those who can Run & Gun instead of conforming to the new culture of Camping, which only brings poor stats.

Weapons - 8/10
As always, I'll start with the negatives. The target finder has turned bad players into worse players. It's the perfect example to show who really can't aim to save their lives, and how much lazier players are getting that they need this attachment to even see someone. Also, the weapon stat charts are not too accurate for some weapons. Something can have a 95% accuracy, but it can't hit shit at point blank while aiming down the sight. The final bad thing was the addition of the Peacekeeper weapon. It was brought in so that children and girls could play somewhat on par with seasoned players, but in the hands of even a seasoned or even somewhat seasoned player, it is completely OP and just spoils the game. Now for good points: There's good challenges, and unlocks/achievements with them force you to get better and skilled, otherwise, you nearly bite your hands off trying in vain. Love the designs, and they're very creative. Like the first Black Ops, they did add 2 real-life experimental weapons, but the rest aren't real guns, but have plausible designs based on actual good weaponry of today. Handling is well, and the variety allows you to adjust your equips to the day's style or mood.

Overall - 8/10
On the overall take, it was still really fun to play. Despite the downfalls of Treyarch's decisions for the programming side of the game, it's still a good source of entertainment for any veteran players. There's a little more balancing, but not as much in terms of actual improvements. For the new or not-as-experienced players, Zombies and campaign definitely tailors more to your field. If you can't stand a little lag from time to time or potential freezing, this game isn't for you.

Dead Space 3 Co-Op

I've written a review about this game here before and I don't recall it being too great, however playing it again with a friend seems to make all the difference. I'm not sitting there blankly figuring out the next stupid puzzle, but i'm talking about how stupid it is. If you're looking for a good co-op adventure, seriously consider this game.

That was definitely a great game that I've been playing since release. But I have to say that not figuring out the puzzles for yourself just takes the fun out of the game. The puzzles and the challenge of getting the trophies on your own is what makes it fun to begin with (2nd only to the ability to customize your own weapons). Having things given to you in a game and not learning it yourself just makes it pointless to do.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R: 9/10 (I'll treat the rating like I'm reviewing the game as a whole, not just what Plus R adds)

Probably one of the most original fighting games ever made, a 2D fighter with heavy rock and metal influences. The gameplay itself is deeper than your typical  fighter, containing rich mechanics such as Burst, Dust, Rapid Cancel, and Slashback. A great 2D fighter with a unique cast of characters and a head bangin' soundtrack make this worth getting, especially if you want to play the game that spawned BlazBlue.

Deadpool

12/10

Being Deadpool, it's already guaranteed awesome, but they did a stellar job at making the game challenging, yet fun. And the variety of humor from the creation of Deadpool and his trademark breaking of the "Fourth Wall" was just perfect. Being a huge long-time X-men fan from back even in the 90's and 80's, I got so much more of a kick out of it than normal players. Highly recommended, but just remember that it IS rated M (come on, it's Deadpool).

Counter-Strike: GO. Why did I buy this? It takes the competitiveness out of the originals and makes it so if you want to be pro your going to have to shell out some cash. The floating controls ruin the game, the graphics aren't as fluid as in the source engine and are more glossy and bland. I do like the idea of gun customization, but only if it didn't cost so damn much. The achievements take the fun out and the new expansions don't deliver.

2/10

Borderlands 2.

Overall I'm giving this game a 9/10. Based on my love for the first one, the second one needed to have a lot of things change for it to be able to trump the first one, and that it did. The overall landscape in which you travel through from level to level, world to world is much more diverse. The weapons are a lot more diverse and realistic. The added classes to choose from are amazing...their secret powers like phasewalk and the turret and whatnot have been improved greatly. The enemies are a lot more diverse as are the playable characters and characters in which you interact with. The storyline is slightly better than the first one as well. The only thing I still don't like about it, though, is that a lot of the missions involve either 'going to get this' or 'going to kill this person/these people' or 'going to do this for this.' There ARE a lot more missions, yes. But many of them are the same. However; there are a lot more bosses in this game too...and a lot more diversity in power-ups.

Overall this game is just way more diverse with way more stuff to do than in the first one. They've definitely upped their game from the first one (The creators of this series I mean).

Beyond Two Souls - 6/10

(No spoilers.)

It's an understatement to say I'm a big, big fan of Quantic Dream games. Heavy Rain is still one of my absolute favorite games. I was super eager about getting to play their next release. Heavy Rain was such a huge improvement over Indigo Prophecy that I was pretty excited to see the improvements that would come in the game after Heavy Rain.

By the time I got to the end of the game though, I had some very mixed feelings. It's both a lot better and a lot worse than Heavy Rain. I've come to love Quantic Dream's games despite their (often obvious) flaws, but I'm not sure the good outweighs the bad this time.

The graphics are really quite amazing, and I loved the environments. The camera work was very well done. The voice acting is SO good. I also grew fond of the main character and her "friend." Also, most of the ending was pretty damn awesome in my opinion.

But my biggest issue with the game is that they took away the biggest part of what I love about Quantic Dream's other games. There's basically no participation or choice. There's an illusion of choice... an attempt to make you feel like you have choice, but the game is really just very linear and scripted. In Heavy Rain, the game endings were decided based on your previous choices in the game, but in Beyond, none of your choices actually mean anything and there's very little room given to just have fun and explore. I didn't feel like I was participating in characters' decisions as much as I was just watching a long and drawn-out movie. I enjoyed the experience, and I don't regret playing it, but I'm very disappointed that they failed on this one very important aspect of the game.

I will still probably play anything that Quantic Dream releases in the future, but sadly, I would not recommend this one to most people unless you have the patience to sit through the slow-paced and non-chronological storyline. It's an interesting concept and a beautiful game to watch, but it could have been so much better.

Pokemon X: 8.0 as a whole (for now)

Simply put this is a great addition to the franchise, but it is missing 2 in its score for two reasons; No Poke-transporter right off the bat, and not as good a story as Black/White/Black 2/White 2. But once I get my Gen V Pokemon (Oshawott ;-;) over to it, it'll gain a 1

Gameplay: 8.9

So, it's Pokemon. Obviously not much is gonna change over-all. You run around, catch Poke's, battle, trade, all that. My only problem is that you're *way* too over leveled if you use the new EXP All, or slightly under-leveled with most of your team if you don't. I'll get to that though in a bit.

Battling: 9

It's fast paced. The animations look amazing. Honestly the only gripe is that Pokemon (Except stupid Pikachu >.>) still use cries rather than their names, but all the cries sound great, especially the old/remastered ones.

New Pokemon: 7

IN B4 "NYEEH STUPID KEYCHAIN POKEMON, STUPID COTTON CANDY POKEMON"
The new Pokemon designs are pretty great, but the problem is there aren't that many! It's under 100 new additions, and the problem is their spacing is so... spaced, that you feel like you're mostly encountering older Pokemon. And to add salt to the wound, by the time you do find a new Pokemon, your team is probably already set. By the time I was able to get a newer Pokemon I had planned on using (Goomy), I already had a set and established team, four out of the six Pokemon I had were older, mainly because one of the two others was my starter.

Starter Pokemon: 10

Ok. Best TRIO of starters, ever. No other trio really matches this, except maybe the Kanto ones now that they have Mega's. All three new starters get a stab elemental move from the start, as well as the traditional tackle/scratch, growl/tail whip. Even though I was Team Chespin since I saw a picture of it basically being Oshawott in a green hoodie, I honestly would use any of them throughout the journey. I own all three now and have tried each.

All Available Pokemon: 9.8

The new Pokemon are, well, ok. This score is for all the available Pokemon in general though, and this is why it's so high. There's tons of Pokemon to be caught, traded, etc.

New Mechanics: 9.975 (Lolol Star Trek Voyager)

Ok. Lots of new mechanics added. I spent the first two hours of my journey just Super Training and Amie-ing my Pokemon. OP much before the second gym? Yes. Love it? Oh yeah. There's just *so* much to do in terms of side stuff that you find yourself saying "Huh, where was I in the story?" Wonder Trade is a great way to screw people over trade your unwanted Pokemon away to see your luck if you get something great. Four player battles are amazing fun. Mega-Evolution battles are mega intense.  My only gripe is the EXP All. It's a great thing to do, but there isn't enough EXP balancing.

Cast of Characters: 7

The characters are decent enough as they are. But compared to the last entries into the series with Gen V, they're on the meh side. The Professor is great because he's more actively a part of your journey. Your "friends" are ok, though you really feel like out of the five of them, the one that's your actual rival is really the only one that matters. The villains are ok, the main bad guy, though his goal may seem a bit asinine, is still sinister enough in his actions.

Story: 7

Ok. Gen V has the best Pokemon story, period. It was emotional, deep, dark, it went places no other game in the series really went. This time around it really feels lacking. There is no real "build up" the the highest point in the story, and the only time you're gonna get a tear in your eye is *at the end of the game once you've done everything*.  The problem is this time around they played it a bit safe. If you ask me, I would love to see a sort of continuation of Team Plasma, in the role of another team maybe, but still. Take what you had, and make it even more evil.

Call Of Duty: Ghosts  ?/10  (Incomplete due to 1 game mode)

Multi-player: 7/10

PROS: New guns and new perk/equip system are really great. They've created more and more perks so that 1 perk does not have too many abilities to make it over powered. Also, matchmaking is a hell of a lot better, and like MW3 no crashed servers or service on opening night or any of the following days. Better graphics than before, and innovative maps. New game modes have given a little excitement to the game. Introduction of having multiple characters in a single squad as a prestiging system definitely allows one to regress to a more comfortable setup should you have trouble with leveling up your current character.

CONS: Maps are extremely large, and games are rarely finished due to far too much camping. Lag compensation still leaves something to be desired, with shot registries taking 1-2 seconds in active fire-fights. Hardcore game modes have been exceptionally nerfed with powerful weapons registering hit markers and no kills. Actual variety of game modes is actually very small. Only 8 Core modes, 3 Hardcore modes, and Clan Wars isn't going to be active for quite a while (Only has 1 mode).

Squads: 6/10
For those of you who don't know, Squads mode is basically you using one character in your squad and having AI assistance from the rest of your squad of characters and/or your friends. There are various game modes under this play mode which switches between objective modes, assault modes and even wave survival.

PROS: Good training if you're having trouble getting wins and/or decent K/D. You can play this for a long time and still gain EXP and Squad Points for unlocks while you're playing in here. Unlike Combat Training in Black Ops and BO2, you get EXP points equal to if you were playing actual live MP. Also, you can choose the level of difficulty of the bots to challenge/train yourself. Yes, you can do this in Private games, too, but you won't gain experience from Private games.

CONS: Unfortunately, this mode has many limitations. First off, you can't earn more than 2 squad points in a match, no matter how well you play. (To give you an idea of Squad Points, gun unlocks cost between 5-12 Squad Points, attachments 2-5 SP. Character unlocks to prestige also cost SP, as well as early unlocks of perks. Even killstreaks cost SP, equal to how many kills it requires to acquire them.) In regular modes, depending on how good you get, can earn you 3-5 Squad Points per game. Also, even though the AI opponents have difficulty levels you can set, they still raise up the difficulty (Not via selection, but automatically) to make sure you don't get too far ahead, which kinda limits the EXP you can gain. Also, even if you can get past that, the lack of human gameplay makes the AI fairly predictable and not so much fun anymore, and the inability to choose specifically what game mode you play really puts a damper if you're strongly against any specific game modes. And finally, there's no Hardcore.

Extinction: 9/10
Definitely one of the better game modes for the CoD series yet. Extinction is a fast-paced game mode where you have to take a drill and destroy alien hives to get to a nuclear bomb to clear out the alien invasion. Unlike zombies, your targets are NOT predictable, and there's no more pack-a-punch. You can choose your starting pistol and perks as a pre-game Loadout, similar to playing multiplayer. While you play through to destroy each hive, it gets more and more difficult. To overcome these difficulties, you're given a Skill Point every time you take down a hive. To gain more Skill Points, you can complete challenges that are given every time you put the drill down to destroy a hive. The earlier and the more you earn, the easier it will be to get through the nightmare. Should you crave a bigger challenge: After level 26, you unlock the final menu in your Loadout, the Relics. Relics are equipped at your discretion to increase certain aspects of the game to make it more difficult (i.e. earn less money per kill with a smaller money cap or aliens do more damage to you, or you can't buy guns.). Should you complete with 1 or more relics, you gain more unlocks for the game, and a trophy/achievement, too. The only real set-backs of this whole game mode is that a complete game only lasts between 45-90 minutes, depending on how competent your team is, and the fact that there's only 1 map, and 1 chapter of that map so far, so it can get redundant pretty quickly. Infinity Ward says they'll release chapters quicker than they'll release maps since there's many chapters, but I wouldn't hold my breath until after the first map pack comes out.

Campaign: ?/10
I'll give a full review on this as soon as I get the chance to play this. After that, I'll give a full rating of the game itself as well.

F.E.A.R.: 7.5

While the game is good, no doubt it has some scary elements and has some very entertaining gun play, there are a few problems with it such as very repetitive gameplay and not very interesting environments.

The Wolf Among Us: 9.5/10
Played the first episode of this, which lasted about 1.5 hours and yet I still thought it was one of the best games I've played this year. It's epic, got such a good atmosphere, great music, dark themes, symbolism, funny, interesting, unique setting and anthropomorphic creatures. Without spoiling anything, I can just say that the setting is you are a sheriff named Bigby Wolf who runs fable town, fable town is a town full of fairy tale characters who need to use a spell called "glamor" to make them appear human to the rest of the world. Bigby Wolf is of course, the big bad wolf, that occurs in many fairy tales (including the three pigs and little red riding hood), the game is a very dark portrayal of what happened to this characters after the fairy tail. Expect drugs, murder, prostitution and the likes, if you decide to buy this masterpiece you're in for quite a ride, even if the ride is cut short because the full game isn't out yet.

Tomb Raider: 7.7/10
Although less impressive than The Wolf Among Us, Tomb Raider is by no sense a bad game, in fact it is quite a good game. Expect to get a good 10 - 11 hours playing just the campaign (and this is skipping the dozens of collectables and the many, many optional challenging tombs, as well as the challenges, gears, multiplayer and so forth), the game is a very long game pack with a whole bunch of features. The games set pieces and adventure sequences are some of the best I've seen around, you'll be falling down waterfalls, jumping off burning bridges and so forth and you'll generally feel quite entertained. The character development is solid, although a bit jumpy at times (for instance you might get hurt by falling on a spike, but after a few minutes your character completely forgets about it, and of course your character being super upset about her first kill and then suddenly forgetting that and killing everyone in sight). The storyline is a bit predictable, no serious twists were found that I hadn't already anticipated by the obvious scripting. Combat wise the game has some short falls, your character cannot cover (even though the game gives you chest high walls around) and while your character ducks behind these walls you can still find yourself being shot, this makes combat infuriating at times because the game seemingly expects you to cover in some spots where you doing so is useless. The actual game itself wasn't difficult though, although I died a fair few times, I managed to get through it without much difficulty and I was playing the hardest difficulty. The thing I liked most about the game is how you felt traversing the terrain, it  truly was scary and heart felt, you didn't feel like some unstoppable person who can just do anything, you felt vulnerable and this made the experience much more fun and satisfying.

F.E.A.R: 7.5/10 (deciding to flesh out my previous "review")
This is the first time I've ever played a F.E.A.R. game, so this review might upset those who lived with it, because of nostalgic value. However, the game has aged generally well in terms of the gameplay mechanics, but not well at all in terms of the environmental mechanics. Lets talk about the gameplay first. The Gameplay is actually really good and solid, it's a nice change to most modern day shooters nowadays and it's nice playing a game with actual intelligent game mechanics. You see, in modern day shooters you'll go through a path and people will jump at you, hide behind cover and it'll be similar to playing a game of whack-a-mole, but in F.E.A.R. you and your enemies are given a vast wide open space to play around in, they will flank you, run at you, move to places you weren't expecting and so forth. For a game made more than 6 years ago, the AI is extremely intelligent, they communicate with each other, have a line of sight mechanic and really do try to trap you, it's akin to what you would find in Rainbow Six: Las Vegas. The guns are diverse and fun to use, you can find yourself pinning enemies to the wall with your penatrator gun, or blowing peoples heads off with a particle sniper or turning people to red dust and gory meat chunks with your shotgun, there is truly a weapon to cater for all play types. The environments however, aren't so great. They're generally confined to bleak, grey hallways with nothing much adding to them then that, expect to run through repetitive environments, solving the puzzle here and there and just moving to the next objective. The story is vague and not really fleshed out (to the point where they give you a wall-of-text just to explain what just happened) and the "scare tactics" aren't really that scary, they may of been scary back in the day, but once you realize they can never hurt you, you just don't feel invested in at all. Despite the good gameplay mechanics, it gets repetitive and non-gripping story just makes you not as invested.

The Stanley Parable: 6/10
The Stanley Parable is an AWESOME game, don't let my mark fool you, I'll explain the mark soon. The Stanley Parable is hilarious, mind bending and just plain awesome, I would definitely recommend it to anyone, I unfortunately can't say too much about the game because it would spoil it, but it's definitely worth a shot because it truly is a funny, fun and entertaining experience. So why the low mark? Well, after doing pretty much everything in the game, going through all alternatives, doing all achievements, you probably could get through the game in 3 hours. It's a very short game, although this wouldn't be a problem for a game that cost $5  this game costs THREE TIMES that much. $15 for a 3 hour game (and that's after doing everything you can do, which I haven't done but I've done most things and have played 2 hours of it) is far too much. So I simply give it a 6 because it was short and expensive, but let me tell you that six is one beautifully hand written 6 in the finest font from the finest pen.

Although I've played more games, those were the only games I hadn't played before so I reviewed them.

Kerbal Space Program: 8/10

Kerbal space program is a game of Building rockets and flying them.  I have been playing this game for some time, and it still is interesting and always things to do.  I really like the Lightheartedness.I only gave this an 8 because of somethings. It is still in development, and there is still holes in it. This game takes long to master, and that can put people off. i have played over 200 hours and still cannot get to some planets..I Also ave it an 8 because Of some of the non-realism in it, it is entirely scaled down, aerodynamics are not the more accurate, etc. I Always fine something to do because there are many planets and moons to visit. I Also like it because of the mods, because it is always a great feature to have the game mod-friendly. I highly recommend this if you like building things. The community (including forum) Is very positive, never really serious or negative.

Metro 2033: 7.5/10

This game is very interesting and I have very mixed views on it. On one hand the environments are seamless and gripping, with one of the best atmospheres I've seen in gaming, you will find yourself exploring environments that are almost too believable and you will want to explore the dark, tight hallways and tunnels of the metro and the dreary, saddened and burnt landscape of the surface. The games also has some neat realistic features in terms of gameplay, you'll need to charge your flashlight, carrying heavy loads will slow down your movement and make it more difficult to turn, you'll need to filter your gas masks, charge electrical weapons and if you get damaged your vision will blur.

The problem I had was the gameplay, although the gameplay was extremely thrilling with gunfights that were scary and tense,  you'll find that the game is very unforgiving. Now, I dunno if I liked this or not, I mean it pretty much had the gameplay of games in the late 1990's, games that were shamelessly unforgiving but also very interesting. An example of the unforgiving gameplay is if you don't have enough ammo for your weapons for one scene where you need ammo, too bad, you'll have to make-do with whatever you can get. If you don't have enough filters for this surface part of the game, ah well, you'll have to restart the entire level and maybe even further back to collect enough filters. It's a grueling experience and in some ways it adds to the gameplay, but in other times it retracts from it. It took me about 6 months to complete it, that was on and off though (I would play, get frustrated, leave it for 2 weeks and play again) my total playtime is 11 hours. So yeah...

Four games to go today! Understand that the last onetemporary, and does not reflect all releases of the game it reviews, just the individual experience.

Super Mario 3D Land- 4.5/10

Nintendo, seriously. What the heck? You start this game off amazingly, but at the end, you want nothing more to do with it. I'm being serious, I just beat it this morning and traded it in. This is after owning it for *less* than a week.

Starting off the game, you're feeling nostalgia and awesomeness right off the bat. It is a Handheld Mario Game, with 2D Mario gameplay mechanics, but with 3D Mario platforming. It is, at its best, perhaps the *best* hand held Mario released, and probably the best Mario game since Galaxy 1 (2 is just an expansion pack.) At its best, the control of your character feels tight, the level design inventive but not too crazy. You feel like you're legitimately having fun. This is great news, because the 3DS really needs more solid titles like this.

But then you get about a third of the way done with the game. This game, is short. I beat it in 11 hours, and this is including any time spent with it paused and not in sleep mode, or world retries. And there were a lot of those, but I'll get to that later. This world as two playthroughs in total, Regular and Special. Each having 8 Worlds, and each World having anywhere from 6 to 8 levels in it. So, short. Each level will take you, in one sitting, anywhere from 30 seconds, to as long as 300 seconds (if you go by the in game clock count down.) The problem here is, the short levels are, well, short. The "long" levels are typically only long, because there are parts in the level that *make* you take longer. Be it a slow ride on a platform, or just an annoying puzzle that has you going back and forth. From Regular World 6 to World 8, you will find yourself thrown into some of the most frustrating levels in Mario History. And *not* because they are difficult.

These levels are purposely made to try and kill you as many times as possible, to supplement to the shortness of the game. It wants you to feel like you've got a long way to go, when instead each time you get back to the Level Select screen, you may be one or two more levels away from completing a world. And then comes the Special.

Special, is hell. Just called Special. This time around, they implement various "game mode twists." These typically being -30 Seconds, and Shadow Mario. -30 Seconds is when the level starts you with only 30 seconds left on the clock, and you either collect +10 items, or kill enemies for time. These levels aren't so bad, but you still feel rushed. And when you're rushed, you're bound to make more mistakes. Then, Shadow Mario. He just follows your exact moves, and each touch hurts you/kills you. The problem here is that in these levels, there is typically no check point. Most of the Special worlds don't, and these are levels where a mid-way check would make things a lot more enjoyable. And then in the last World, they ran out of ideas so they just combine these two game modes.

What's more is that the last world tries to play as a reward system. If you've been good and have been collecting the Gold Star Coins, you can do each level. The range is from I believe 210/220 to 290. The problem is, at this point most Coins you haven't got are either ones you just can't find, or are in levels you never want to touch again. Thus forcing you to replay these levels. And the levels you unlock, are some of the most outlandishly frustrating of the bunch. And after beating that a second time, the game tricks you into doing the last level of Regular once more, making you think you can get something out of it. Instead you roll credits a second time, and get a picture of Peach in her own Tanuki suit. While this *may* be a hint toward Super Mario 3D World, it isn't what I would call "rewarding."

If this came would have relied on longer/more challenging levels as it progressed, rather than more frustrating levels that you constantly have to redo, this would be probably a 9.5/10. But a game is only as good as the end enjoyment level is. And it honestly kills itself mid-game. If you have a Wii-U, skip this and get the 3D World game. If you want to try this out, do so knowing that you won't be needing the other two profiles included, and that you can get $11 to $14 trade in value at your closest Gamestop.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3D- 9.5/10

It's Sonic 1. In 3D. What more to say? I'll talk about the features included, rather than the game itself.

So, let's start with how the game looks. Amazing. It is very crisp and clear. You feel like it should be 720p or 1080p just from the quality. It may be an old Genesis game, but you still feel like it's a great 3DS download title. The 3D is used beautifully. The parallax scrolling, the backgrounds and foregrounds really have amazing depth now. There is very little ghosting in the 3D as well. Something interesting to note about the 3D, this is one of the few 3DS titles I've seen that allow you to choose the type of 3D you view. Be it the typical 3DS Fall-In style, which looks like you're looking into say, a box, as opposed to the Pop-Out style. Pop-out is the best option, by far, and has less ghosting issues than Fall-In. also interesting to note, you can view it in the original projection-TV style, where it's much more rounded and cut off. Let me tell you, the nostalgia feel is quite a wonder, but honestly, play this for the crisp, wide-screen, 3D effects.

The sound is superb. You can even choose the PSG emulation type, between the Genesis 1 or 2.  Simply put, amazing sounds.

Another thing of note, you can choose between the Japanese or International game versions. I have no clue what the difference is, I couldn't even find it online, but all I know is I played through the Japanese version and I couldn't notice any difference. AND something that crosses over from the Android/iOS releases, is the ability to unlock the Spin Dash. This makes things a lot more easy/practical, especially if you bind a trigger key as a Turbo button. This game is less than $10 as a download, and it's certainly worth it if you want some classic Sonic fun on the go.

Call of Duty: Ghosts 25% single player and nothing else because borked - 1/10

That 1 is only because I could make so many criticisms about it while playing. This game is the definition of beating a dead horse, with a dead horse that's having a seizure because it's still fresh. The story is, in all honesty, crap. South Americans band together, get to space *secretly*, take over a giant Gauss Canon that is, in space, and use it to take over America.  No. Just no. I don't care if this is fantasy. I don't care that for once it isn't the Russians, Germans or Middle Easterns. Hell, it would be more believing if it were Canadians.

The gameplay, it's Call of Duty. The problem is, it's *too hectic.* You hardly ever know what's happening, where you're going, and when you should be moving while you're stuck shooting, or when you should be staying still. The levels, incredibly short. They can take all of five minutes to complete, before a loading screen. Come on people, this is Next Generation. I want my 60FPS at 720p to 900p gameplay. I don't want a loading screen every five minutes, didn't they fix that with the last generation?

The visuals, look horrible for a next generation game. Games that ended the last generation, look better than this. At max, it looks like a Battlefield wannabe. At "Optimal", don't get me started. The optimal from Modern Warfare 1 looked better than this. It's pixelated, blurry, and you can't tell a person from a rock.

The weapons, unmemorable and unimaginative. You go from guns you can easily remember; M4/ M16, M9, Scar-H, Scar-L. Even the ones in Black Ops 2, which is also a game set in the future, are memorable to some degree. In this game it's C-2340897, C12347082, and AK-12. Oh, the M9 makes an appearance, but good luck getting any use out of it.

The only good thing about this, is the Dog. Playing as the dog is fun. It adds stealth to the missions you play. That's it really :I

My copy actually was broken by a game-breaking glitch in the PC versions. Because this is a console port, it assumes you will at all times have 6GB available. But if your computer does something, and makes that drop to even 5.999999999999999999999GB, OR increase to 6.11111111111GB, it will give you a memory error, crash, then not load again unless you *uninstall the game, losing your progress.* Even though the "Day 1" patch fixes this, it can still happen, at random. Seriously, if you can't even patch it on Day One, an issue you *know* exists before finalizing and releasing the game, don't. Stop trying to make these yearly Holiday releases. Take the time to *finish* your game.

If you get this game. Well, I hope you can enjoy it. I really do. I wish you all the luck in the world. If anyone can enjoy more of the same, a decade later, then maybe I'm missing out on something. But playing this series from CoD 1 up to now, it's gone to crap.

Assassins Cred IV: 2/10.

I liked the first five minutes of the game. And then I got a game-breaking glitch that makes your camera broken. Ubi knew about this, released a "fix" in the Day One patch, but it can still occur at random. I have yet to try to fix this issue, but honestly I'm tired of all these "Next Gen" releases being crap in their first month or so of release. I will try this game a year from now when I know it will work.

Oh, and you're not really an Assassin. You just killed one and took his armor. You can tell this by the first five minutes of gameplay. Let me know if I'm right!

And there you have it! I just picked up the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game on the 3DS, so when I'm through with that I'll throw it up on here with a few other titles.

Call of Duty: Ghosts- 1/10

That 1 is only because I could make so many criticisms about it while playing. This game is the definition of beating a dead horse, with a dead horse that's having a seizure because it's still fresh. The story is, in all honesty, crap. South Americans band together, get to space *secretly*, take over a giant Gauss Canon that is, in space, and use it to take over America.  No. Just no. I don't care if this is fantasy. I don't care that for once it isn't the Russians, Germans or Middle Easterns. Hell, it would be more believing if it were Canadians.

Just 1 thing about the graphics complaint that you have. You have Microsoft to thank for the shitty graphics. Because they are too damned lazy to get better parts for Xbox One (Which, btw, is worse than even the PS3 specs), they paid all developers to have to dumb down all their graphics so that it looks the same on all consoles. The only games that actually look good are Playstation-specified games. All cross-platform games are to be dumb down. However, you failed to mention anything from the other 3 game modes, which cannot actually represent the game as a whole if you only base your review on Campaign.

That's why it's just based on my own experience from it :P

I've seen these other game modes, and just no. I can't bring myself to even bother. They look like the same, rehashed game modes we've seen before, or at the very least don't look like they make the game better. If your game relies on game modes to make it better, aside from its campaign, still bad in my books. World at War and Black Ops had both good campaigns, and had Zombies. This game just takes that and gives us a crap campaign and aliens. They need to CoD 4 this series again, fast, or else it's just gonna turn into a Madden title.

news flash, Zombies is a separate game mode, too. game modes is what makes any game as a whole. Also, they should NOT be doing a CoD4 any series ever again. I was a hardcore CoD fan from the first 3 and Modern Warfare 1 & 2 ruined it for me. Lack of a challenge. I only got back into it with Black Ops because Treyarch decided to split from Infinity Ward. Game was better for campaign and zombies, but the MP operations and lag comp sucked for them. Also, the MP mechanics for Ghosts has changed quite a bit, which does add quite a bit more to the battle system. Granted, there's still hackers out there, but what game doesn't have them? Also, the Extinction game mode makes zombies look easy, as if it hadn't already with Black Ops 2 Zeds. You should really explore the whole game. They've fixed and improved on a LOT of things.

News flash was pointless, I know it's a separate game mode? That wasn't my point. CoD 4 is what set the standard for the newer CoD games, and the formula hasn't much changed, except each game keeps trying to one-up itself. Instead of looking for releasing a fantastic game, they're looking for sales and numbers.

Even if it's "Improved" elsewhere, I play games mainly for the single player, or even co-op aspect. I stopped my "hard core online gaming" With Halo Reach and Black Ops. I'm sorry if my personal score and feelings toward the game don't match yours or your approval, but when it comes down to it, I know when a game will let me really enjoy it. Ghost won't.

i just don't see why anyone would buy a game, only play 25% of what's available and then think they can accurately judge it as a whole.

it's like not having any exposure to baseball, buying a complete set of baseball gear, practicing only batting on your own on a tee, and then writing a review on why team A sucks after seeing the first game of the season.

no one buys Elder Scrolls just to play the first 10% of the game with several different characters and say that the whole game was a bust.

it's true that MW set the standard for newer CoD's. since CoD4, people bought CoD to play ONLINE. playing the same, predictable computer AI is monotonous and boring. Why do you think Counter-Strike still holds world tournaments every year since its release, and CoD was able to follow suit after MW2?
Title: Re: Rate The Last Game You Played

Because critics? :p

If I can only get through 25% of it because of their faulty release, I'm already gonna think lowly about it. I played Call of Duty online for ages, I really don't need to be preached about it. I've seen/watched friends play it, nothing special in my eyes.

And there, modified for proper viewing pleasure.

the whole point of a "review" is to show people an analysis of something as a whole. if you're just going to complain about the campaign then just state that you're critiquing the campaign. the entirety of any game is not just comprised of a portion. you don't see anyone saying "oh, i finished chapter 1 of game X and it is the worst game ever made. the last 19 chapters and co-op mode be damned, i'll never play those.".

be specific and properly label what you're REALLY reviewing.

Actually I have seen it before :p You'd be surprised what some random internet findings can bring.

And, let me put it this way; If one doesn't mention anything about, say, other game modes. I would say it's safe to say they aren't probably taking them into account. So before blowing up next time, I would pay more attention to that. But hey, who needs opinions with other ones matter more!

Skyrim; 6.5/10 The reason why I gave it a semi-low score is due to all the glitches, long travel distances, and sometimes my skills fail me no matter how high of a level they are.

Borderlands 7.5/10

There are a few glitches within the game that will get you stuck in areas and force you to restart the game to an earlier save point. One of the glitches include being able to walk through your enemies after killing them, its okay and I'm glad I don't have to maneuver around them when I'm going towards my current way-point. The online experience is nice unless you're playing as the siren class. All the other guys will automatically assume you're a girl just because you play as the girl character. They are rude, ignorant, and will not let you pick-up any loot.

If it weren't for the rude online players I would have bumped up the rating about 0.5.

The graphics however are great 9/10 on the graphics. If the graphics were anymore real to the human eye it would be just like viewing iit in 3D.

Now that I've finally got myself a Wii U, I've gotten to play the one game that I was both excited for, and felt could redeem its mobile counterpart;

Super Mario 3D World: 9.8/10

Oh My God. Talk about near-perfection to the max. They pulled out all the stops with this game.

Graphics; Superb. If you're playing the game on an HD TV it looks amazing for both a Mario game, a Four Player Mario Game, and honestly a Wii U Game in general. If you're playing it on the Gamepad, it may have a bit of fuzz around the edges, but it still looks just as amazing. I actually spent my entire time playing looking at the Gamepad screen, and I was still amazed at out how great it looked. For those who say a Wii U/Nintendo game can't look good, at this point you should be biting your tongue.

Gameplay; Super tight. Well refined. It feels like an epic Mario adventure. The best thing about it, is the characters you play as. Each brings something different to the table. Mario is just your classic, stock character. I feel like for some of the acrobatics he's a bit more tight, but that could just be me. Luigi can help you get to those greater heights, but he's a bit more slippery. Peach is great as either the first-time character, or for those who can use her floating expertly. Toad is by far for those who want a challenge, as he is the fastest character, but also the weakest and lowest jumper. I spent a good chunk playing as Toad, since it added a great sense of challenge and speed.

Cat "Transformation"; this gets its own special spot. The Cat Transformation suit is the best thing ever since the Tanuki. Running up walls, swiping enemies, air-diving, even running up the flag poles, you feel like a cat bad-ass. The best thing is, the game feels like it was geared for the cat suit, but you don't *need* it to do well in the game. But you'll be saying "Damn it, I lost my cat suit!" a lot probably, just because you want to keep it as much as possible. If you get to the Special World, which is a not towards Mario Galaxy, you get a special cat transformation that lets you also do the classic Tanuki transformation where you turn into a statue when you ground-pound. But this time around it'll also give you mass amounts of coins as you're in the process of landing.

Level designs; They definitely learned from Mario 3D Land. Nearly all of the levels are perfect in design for a Mario platformer. Challenging yet fun and rewarding, there are few where you really go "This is stupid, I hate it." Some levels do feel a bit easy, but those ones also typically are introducing you to some new mechanic that you'll have to use later on. Especially once you get to the Special Worlds, you'll have some of your skills put to the test, like Long Jumping.

Sound; This game has some of the best Nintendo music since Mario Galaxy, enough said.

If you own a Wii U and  you haven't picked this up yet, you are missing the best thing ever. *This is not New Super Mario Bros Wii U 2.* Some people still believe it is, but it isn't. It's five levels above that.

Mechwarrior Online; Play it/10

This is a game that's fairly hard to review, as it can appeal to many different people in many different ways. If you played the classic Mechwarrior series, this will make you giggle like a school girl. This is not your typical Free-to-play FPS, either. This game is much more deep and tactical, while at the same time just as hectic. I'd actually be willing to just pay for this game as a full title at $60 than I would be, say, Call of Duty or Battlefield. If you like Free-to-play games, like giant death mech robots, and like having fun, this game is for you.

Okay, time for the final review for Call of Duty: Ghosts:

Campaign: 8/10
For anything, really, is that the whole terrorist bringing the end of the world bit is a little overdone, but the story as a whole and the substance you get from it are tops. The concepts are original and they've kept really well with trying to make it realistic. Aside from the chapter where you infiltrate South America, the landmarks and scaling of the maps are pretty spot on. Also, with the addition of the dog in the story adds a nice and new dimension to it, though they could have done with more interactions with the dog on the whole of the game. The story follows a pair of brothers, whom you play as one of them, as they follow in their father's footsteps into the military and into gaining the title of Ghosts. It is definitely an interesting story to follow, and the first to have an inconclusive ending. It really gets the blood flowing and definitely a clinging story.

However, the campaign has a few shortcomings as well. One, if you're not playing on Veteran, the game is far too short. Two, the trophies are not in the least bit hard to do, I got almost all of them on my first playthrough and only took another 2 hours after that to earn the rest (Intel in this is by far the easiest to find). Three, you get the absolute DUMBEST AI support ever. You literally can get killed a LOT of times because the AI will literally block you from being able to move at all, and cause you to get completely shot up.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Overall Rating: 7.5/10

7 Days to Die (Alpha State) 68.5/100

7 Days to Die is a voxel based zombie survival game.

You craft, eat, drink, find shelter, scavenge, farm, kill zombies, hunt, chop trees..

Overall, it's good. As an Alpha state game. It has a long way to go if it is wants to be fully worth all of the $30 I have paid for it.

I'ma knock this out in list format.

1: Graphics (7/10). The Graphics in 7 Days to Die are so basic that I suspect many textures where formulated in Microsoft Paint. Shapes in the game for models/characters are quite good, but the voxel morphs some of them sometimes.

2: Animations (5/10). Animations in the game are.. Lackluster in most cases. Some are placeholders, and some are downright broken. Placeholder animations are used for reloading guns, hitting, punching, chopping.. Pretty much anything with the suffix -ing in the game has a placeholder. Broken animations... Primarily the deer and dogs. The deer should cover more ground with the animation they use, it is similar to bounding, but ends up as ultra-rapid hops that are entirely unrealistic. The dogs spin around on their axis (aparently in the shoulder blade area) and levitate to jump. The rabbit animation is pretty accurate, but rough. General zombie animations are actually decent.

*The newer updates smooth a small bit of animations, but not many*

3: Crafting/repair (9/10). Crafting is simple, and logical (in most cases). Unlike most other voxel games, it adds a menu with its 5x5 crafting area, to show only the outline of the materials needed to make an object. Assuming it's materials are in your inventory. Repair is simple. Use two like objects to mix into one better-conditioned object.

*The new crafting system makes the game more realistic, and adds a certian difficulty that wasn't there before*

4: Weapons (7.5/10). Weapons in the game consist of whatever you can pick up. A sharp stick, a regular stick, baseball bat, shotgun, sub mech gun, sniper rifles. The selections of weps are limited currently, but is expected to increase in the next update. My issue is with the reloading. Reloading your wep without going through all the ammo in it removes the ammo you already have in it, and apparently makes it blip into non-existance.

*Reloading and ammo along with the gun construction and repair has been re-vamped, making the guns much more useable and efficient*

5: Models (7/10). Models are pretty much all placeholder. They are, however, smooth for an Alpha.

6: Biomes (8/10). Biomes are a little.. rough. Good, but rough. My main issue is the way they are seperated, which is by a definate difference in terrain, atmosphere, and stuff in it. There are four right now. The cedar forest, plains, burnt zone, regular forest, rad zones, ruins, and desert. All are pretty okay as a whole, but all need some, if not a lot of work.

*There have been several added areas, making the roaming of the game FAR more extensive, taking a full 60 minutes or more to get from one side of the map to the other safely.

7: Scavenging (9/10). Yeah. A two. There is WAY too much EVERYTHING that is far to useful. Searchables everywhere, almost all have good loot. Needs a complete overhaul of looting and searching system.

*A GIGANTIC leap forward in this area. It got it's complete overhall, decreasing loot, and making places to loot less easy to find (or I guess I should say trip-over)*

8: Food/water/stamina/health (9/10). All effect each other. Eating and drinking is pretty obvious for most things. The only real issue is that corn does virtually no food increase unless it is added to stew or something. Stamina is bad if food or water is down. Health goes down if starving or dehydrated. Will not heal major damage unless pretty much bed-ridden.

9: Zombies (8/10). Unlike most zombie games, these seem to actually consider terrain, obsticles, and traps into play. If you make a wall with a door, they'll go for the door. A corridor surrounded with spikes, they'll go through the not-spike area, or weakened spikes to get to you.

10: General construction (10/10). Every material comes into play when it comes to construction. You can't build floating or unsupported structures. Everything has its durability, and can be repaired. Overall, it is a nice construction system.

I'll continue to play this game, and revise my score as it updates. Anyone who wants to give it a try, pick it up on Steam, or their website at http://7daystodie.com/ (http://7daystodie.com/)

*Updated topics*

*The new version of this game brings its general rating up to a 71.5/100*

Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition: 3/10

PLEASE NOTE:
The score is based off of WHAT THIS VERSION OF THE GAME BROUGHT TO THE SERIES. I have played each version of this game that has been released before, and if you asked me to rank it on any of them it would be much higher than this. The Wii Version would get a 9.5/10, hands down.

So why is it so low? Because of all the things this game toted it would bring, it failed on a lot of points. First and foremost, this is just an updated version of the crappy port that was already on the PC. The only difference is the HD texturing, 30/60 FPS, and "native" Xbox 360 Controller support.

The first two differences, are welcome. What's interesting to note is that you can in fact still play the game with the original texture pack, which is great for that nostalgia feeling. (As if people needed to be more nostalgia blind about this release.) Playing this game in perfect 60 FPS is amazing, as well. But now let's talk about that controller support.

No. Just no. If there's one thing that I am good at detecting, it's precision. This game with the controller lacks all of that. I would go so far as to say that the Analog controls are emulated WASD-Controls when it comes to movement. There is a noticeable dead-zone when switching from, say, going forward, to going straight diagonal, to left/right. What's more is when you aim, it feels like emulated Analog on a D-pad. None too smooth at all. The whole experience with the controller is clunky, and that's what is even recommended for you to play with.

If you're a collector of games on Steam, or just have yet to play the game and have no other means, then wait for this to go on sale. Even then, if you have a Gamecube or Wii I just recommend picking it up on there, the experience will be much better off.

Titanfall - 9/10

I sat here for a minute wondering whether I should've typed 8 because of the "campaign multiplayer", but this masterful shooter deserves a 9. The parkour is baby bottom fresh out the bath splash it with baby powder smooth. Better movement than any game to date. Fluid controls and a heck of a lot of animations. I still haven't found all of the ways I can get in the Titan, and the AI are done better than even the best action movies. Although I did question the lack of a single player campaign, the start of the "Campaign" level Demeter is the best opening scene in ages. Titanfall brought something so ungodly simple (but in that way diabolically genius) to the shooter genre and totally flipped the equation.

Yoshi's NEW Island 4/10

I bought this game for 2 reasons:
-Titanfall isn't releasing in my country
-I remember playing the original and loving it so so much

However this game fails to bring very much to the table and just doesn't feel how or look as it should.
-Level Design is Generic... very... very... generic
-Art Style is inconsistent (a very big problem for a game like this)
-Music sounds better when it's off
-the Gimmicks are baaaaaaaaad

Wow isn't that a bit harsh? NO!

Yoshi's Island for the SNES was a masterpiece that was revolutionary in the way the player could interact with the level and enemies, the art style was cute and everything looked hand drawn and The levels and enemies all felt unique.

Yoshi's NEW Island is just a Mario game where you play as Yoshi. You can just run through to the end of the level and any "fun things" in-between only get in your way. I've never found the finding of the hidden question clouds so unrewarding. The Enemies are also just Shy Guys and Piranha Plants. Later when you get to the Boos, they're just your normal every day Boo that we all know and "love". Ok so what? they don't fit in with the art style at all! The boss battles also seem to only require baisic knowledge of shapes and colours. Did I mention how easy this game was? If you die too much (somehow) you get given a pair of yoshi wings that let you hover around.

At best, the platforming on it's own is good, but if you want to really enjoy this game, you're going to have to want to try and get all the collectables. Collect them all and you get a new secret level per world which is slightly harder.

I feel heart broken, lied to and cheated... especially when it's a game from one of the few series that can make me cry just by hearing the music.

You want to play this game? Make sure you've never played any of the previous ones, don't know what a Mario is and your age is 2-6.

To The Moon  9.5/10

Two hours later and I'm still left speechless by this game....
The way the story is crafted is beautiful, stepping backwards through this man's life learning the meanings behind mementos and uncovering the secrets of his past is truly a journey. The way you're drawn in is amazing, I started to relate to John in so many ways. His desire to head to the moon, his qualms about his name (we even have the same name just different spelling), he even read the same book series as me!
I heard of a lot of people got really emotional in a lot of the scenes towards the end of act 3, I usually don't find myself crying over something unless it invokes some sort of nostalgia in me (i.e. Toy Story 3) and I didn't expect to but then out of nowhere it hit me like a train. Tears just flowing like rain through almost the entire remainder of the game. I can't expect anyone reading this to understand why without me explaining but that would just ruin the whole thing just...... just go play this game. If you love narrative-driven emotional games you will not be disappointed, I promise.

To me this is can be fun if you have a group or a guild in a way but it can get boring because you can do all the quests alone and even the solo dungeons, but again like i said group up, I play this game and got in a good guild and when playing in the PVP area it can become quite the Technical game because you your Opponents Sub class does matter. The character creation i'll admit isn't something to gawk about because so far you can only be human but i'm assuming they are going to add other characters. The game is not Pay to win as may other FTP games, You can earn loyalties in witch convert to Game cash to spend in the Item Mall granted everything is 2x the cost of the AP shop but that is expected, The quests can be someone repetitive in their own way but are still different, the Duel function is nice unless your going up against a smart bard/anything, The skills are flexible and you can create you character how you want, Every level you get an Attack point to spend on DMG, Crit, Speed. Then you also get a Defense point to spend on  HP, Def, Eva. you also get envoy point to set up a small skill tree. You are also followed around by a "Pet" or Eidolons they fight or heal you depending what one you picked or have collected.

If anyone does play im on Hydra Server. just add JollyGreenFox

Postal 2: 7.9/10

So far, a very fun game though not for the easily offended or squeemish. Postal 2 is considered one of the most violent games ever made, right behind manhunt in it's violence, it was banned world wide under initial release but as the graphics have become dated and times have changed, it's now purchasable on steam! This game has you, as the creatively named "Postal Dude" who goes around and does mundane errands around a small town. However, if you don't feel like waiting in long lines or taking abuse by hundreds of different people, perhaps you might "get postal" and do one of the many intensely violent and creative things that the game entices you into doing. Although the game [claims] that you "don't have to do anything violent" there are numerous sections of the game where it's almost impossible not to, such as a level where anti-game activists run into a building and start shooting up the place, or a level where book burners burn down a library. In either case, it becomes more like a generic first person shooter, where the enemies stands in your way and there's no way around them, so whether or not that's "choice to kill" is up to question, though I believe the game essentially forces you to kill on some missions.

But that's not the interest of postal 2, Postal 2's interest comes from the sheer amount of unquestionable, unrelenting and merciless violence that's involved in the game. Things like animal cruelty, public urination, random killings, decapitations, knife stabs and various other means of cruelty from the obscene to the absolute goofy (such as using a cat a silencer) the game will surely make you laugh, or cringe, as you move through the city states causing havoc. One of my favourite things I did was go to a nightclub called "The Fire House", staying true to it's name I poured some Gasoline over the only entrance, shot a gun in the nightclub to make everyone panic and then lit the gasoline on fire and left the building. Everything was calm for a while until eventually, hundreds of people left the building in a blazing inferno. It's admittingly cruel, perhaps sadistic but undeniably fun.

In terms of the actual gameplay, there could be some improvements. Shooting mechanics are rather odd, enemy AI don't seem to move AND shoot at the same time and some AI such as police officers can survive multiple shotgun blasts to the head, and that's only on "hard" (There are 9 difficulty levels and hard is number 5). Weapon damage is generally inconsistent, you'll find the shotgun is pretty useless for any distance that isn't melee distance away, in which case using a switchblade or some other melee weapon will probably best take an enemy down. You'll find you can quickly be overrun by lots of enemies and if you light a fire an enemy may catch a light and run around setting other enemies alight, killing all the enemies AND causing a great hazard to the player who may too become entangled into the inferno. Weapon switching isn't intuitive, you can carry many weapons at a time but you are forced to cycle through them using a mouse wheel, or cycle through them using 1 of 6 catagories. Considering I currently have 5 melee weapons, most are crap, it becomes very daunting in the middle of a firefight to cycle through your weapons to get just the exact one you want. AI is also extremely dumb and they don't usually react to environmental hazards like fire, for example I lit a wall of fire in front of a marching band and all people in the band just randomly walked into it. You'll also find that the game has glitches, most of these glitches are small things that are hilarious like floating people and cops shooting nothing, but occasionally you'll run into game crashes, I've run into a few every hour or so. Saving can also be a bit of a drag as the autosave feature is very limited so you'll need to quick save a lot lest you forget and lose a lot of data.

Overall, the game is fun. It's a good game to unleash the more sadistic side of you, but it's not a "main game", it's one of those games you'll play for an hour, have heaps of fun and then not play it again for another day.

Mario Kart 8: 7/10

Compared to Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS, all this title has going for it is the Graphics, Sounds and the fact that (once they fix Club Nintendo e.e) I'll be getting a free game out of pre-ordering it.

This one has the worst roster of characters we've seen yet in a Mario Kart game, if you ask me. Considering nearly a full quarter of the roster is Koopalings, and five of them are babies, and Pink Gold Peach, it's times like this I wish we'd get other characters back, like King Boo.

Also, item balancing is way off this time around. I went through plenty of races where I was in the bottom-six, and I was still getting items like single green shell's, single mushrooms, and COINS. Which I should add that the Coin item is just about the most useless item, considering how frequently you can find coins.

That being said, the game does control pretty well, though I mainly stick to karts and not motorcycles. Kart Customization is cool, though there are too many carts/wheels/parachutes that have the same stats.

In terms of levels, while the good majority of them are fun, not many are memorable. I'm hoping that they DLC some Cups, especially from MK7/MKDD. Some of the new levels feel a bit short, and a bit lacking. The new Rainbow Road is very forgiving and easy, not what I was expecting at all.

As I said before, the game looks and sounds great. We've yet to see graphics this good for a MK game, and even if it's only at 59 FPS it still looks perfectly fine. The sound design is also great, rivaling 3D World.

Also, it is annoying that the course map is only on the Gamepad. It is tedious to have to look down at it if you're curious where other people are, or what items others have. Granted, this is what we get because of the people who have to complain that "games don't utilize the Gamepad enough."

Overall, unless you're gonna be using that sweet free game deal with Club Nintendo, I don't think this is worth the full price. I'll sooner be playing Pikmin 3, than I will be playing this game to get all gold stars in all Cups.

-.2 because bugs.

This game is quite literally perfect. 0ffensive to me in a lot of ways, yes, but that doesn't actually take away from its quality as a game. The potential for modding turns it from a legendary game to a perfect game. The amount of content available is practically endless, and even if it starts to get dull, you can find something else to do, and the game feels new again. XP

I can see this game taking over lives.

Spore (2008)
9/10

Although the game was released in 2008, I got around to playing it just last month or so. I find it to be better than most other games I've played, mainly because it has a gigantic universe to play in, and puts great effort into being accurate while still being fun. I might have rated it 10, except it seems that 80% of the other players just used it to make giant dick monsters.

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood 6/10

Eh. There really isn't that much difference between this game and Assassins creed 2, in fact, the only differences I could point out is...

   - 1 new city
   - new weapon models
   - poison darts
   - Cross bow
   - "Press T to kill all targets"

That's really about it, side quests are the same, main quest is the same (except this time even more confusing and less interesting that AC2), ending is confusing and unsatisfying. It's ok, stealth elements are still good, but this seems like more of an expansion of AC2 rather than a new game, which would be fine if they didn't sell it for full price!

Wolfenstein: The New Order 7.5/10

This game was good! It's one of those "classic shooters" that you should definitely get around playing. It has an interesting and engaging story, some cool shooting mechanics and some open environments where you can choose to be stealthy or not. Some parts are very frustrating however, such as some enemies who are very tough to kill and the game has a tendency to just throw thousands and thousands of enemies at you, even having infinite spawners at some stages. SO It's a bit annoying, but still is a decent game that's worth a play.

South Park: Stick of Truth 7.7/10

This game is funny! Very funny and very south park feeling, it has all the elements of a common turn based RPG with added hilarity and side quests in tune. I did get the Australian version so I got a fair share of crying koala's but it was only for two scenes and the messages they gave about the censored content were quite funny. Despite this the game is good, it doesn't have an engaging story pursue and feels a little bit short, but it's still an epic adventure that you have to pick up if you want some time to kill.

Deadpool; 7.9/10

This is a pretty great game. The humor is typically funny, Deadpool is a great, crazy character. Also fun to see all the other cameos in it, as well as hearing them all be voiced by their original voice actors.

Only real complaints are that some of the humor is a bit lame, usually when it's boner jokes, and that the gameplay gets a bit repetitive and that the enemies are sometimes very cheap in terms of breaking your combos.

It's Deadpool. It's always bad jokes plus extra cheese. That's why we all love him~ CHIMICHANGAS!!

Anyways, my last game was Arkham City, 8/10. Actually really fun and good. Catwoman portion is short and boring as all hell, but really fun, none the less. Awesome story, smooth combo engine and map loading. My only complaint is the bad CW work and how short the game actually was. 90% of your game time is spent on the Riddler and his side-quest. The game by itself is maybe a 4-8 hour game, depending on the difficulty. Story kicks major ass, though.

XCOM Enemy Within with the long war mod

9.5/10 This game is hard as a [insert generic boner joke here] but I love it. Epsecially when you've got a good team of soldiers, and you have them all postioned ccorrectly, and they just plain annihiliate the aliens. It also makes me feel like I'm actually the commander of a mulinational organization that's very stretched for money. It may not be as fun when you absolutley get annihilated because of some stupid mistake (RIP SPEC Ogawa, SPEC Ghalib,SPEC Donaldson and LCPL 'Ouija' haussman) I also found myself getting very attached to my soldiers, even going so far as to name one of them after myself (LT. Casablanca is a total bad*ss)

XCOM EW alone is awesome enough, but with the Long war mod it's 10x better

Battlefield 4 for the Xbox one.

I would rate it around 7/10. For the multiplayer at least.

I enjoy a good part of the game mechanics, but sadly the netcode is pretty bad, meaning there are plenty of bugs, such as the damage indicator not working correctly. Also due to the fact that you can buy all the weapons and equipment. Totally kills the value in "play to win".

Other than that, I have great fun filling someone's face full of buckshot up close and running around popping heads with my sniper. I also enjoy flying around in a jet or helicopter. It's a nice challenge.
I would certainly recommend it.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

9/10

I never thought I would enjoy a Middle-earth based game this much. It's the Assassin's Creed I've been waiting for. Wait...

So, I'm gonna try to break this down ;

Story; 8.5/10

I love how lore-friendly this game is... up until the last few minutes. Without giving any spoilers, basically you would feel like Tolkien himself had written this, and stashed it away for the day that it could become a video game. Quite a few nice cameos too, for you big LotR buffs. The ending though, is a big downer...

The "final boss" is nothing more than a quick time event, and then you're left on a cliff hanger.

It's also a bit short. If you do a good job of not getting distracted, it's only 20 missions.

Side-Quests; 10/10

You won't get bored. It's that simple. If you do, then obviously you don't enjoy wrecking orcs. Simple as that, without giving much away.

Nemesis System; 9/10

So, this is pretty cool. If you want a detailed description of this, go to Wiki or just google it, but basically this'll insure that you have a very fluid, and varied, experience fighting the Uruk Captains/War Chiefs.

Combat; 9/10

So much fun. Sure, a lot of it is just button mashing and getting combos, but it is very entertaining, exciting, intense, challenging, etc. Once you're maxed in abilities, you'll be doing intense execution combos left and right, and feel like you really are a Ranger. My only complaint is that sometimes your counters are delayed, or your dodges.

Stealth; 9.5/10

Yep, a LotR game with Stealth. The stealth works like Assassin's Creed to a degree. You go from regular mode, to stealth mode, and you can either assassinate, brutalize (which makes nearby enemies flee), or branding, which allows you to take control of the target. What's also amazing is that if an enemy spots you, there's a few seconds where you can still stealth them before your stealth is negated.

I really recommend this game to anyone who enjoys either LotR, or hack-and-slash combat games. Especially since right now it's only $50, though I'd recommend spending the extra $20 for the complete pack with the DLC

Minecraft for the PC

8/10

I particularly enjoy the unlimited amount of possibilities in this game. The only let down is that, obviously, everything is in blocks. Not adequate for those who need to make round structures and other miscellaneous structures that require them to be round.

It is truly a good sand-box game, but, they need to format the game to play in a lighter mode for those who use laptops (without cutting down the graphics) and other operating systems that simply cannot handle minecrafts high operating system.

I do realize the game creator needs to make money but almost $27 for the pc version is a bit ridiculous when I can just go to my nearest game supplier and pick up a copy of the disc for a gaming console for $20

Minecraft is no longer owned by Mojang, it is now under Microsoft's control, and they bumped up the price, it was around $17 i believe before MS got their grubby hands on it, but yeah

Dungeons and Dragons Online: 6.5/10

Used to be very good, but has since deteriorated much due to excessive expansions and pay-to-win type play, not to mention to even get most of the races/classes they have now you have to either grind up reputation or pay real money.  but otherwise, they have within the past year or two implemented a crafting system that, in my opinion, is very unique and works well.  Just again, either grind materials or buy them.

The main saving grace for this not to get below 5 is pretty much this: there are near infinite combinations of different things you can do, especially with the multiclassing feature.

Some glitches (deformed people in the simulation Steelpoint on occasion, for example) and a rather controversial side quest (Enter The Dominatrix) bog the otherwise great game down.

Alright maybe not 10, I have to be strict about these things so I'll give it something like 9.2, but I loved Binding of Issac and Rebirth is basically the same but with twice as much content, what's not to love?

Far Cry 3

Really difficult to decide.

If the game didn't have multiplayer, it'd probably get a perfect rating. The multiplayer is borked to oblivion.

I can't possibly go into all the details, but this has got to be the best game I have ever played. The graphics are so beautiful I wish I could stay in the game forever, the story got me so engulfed that I felt legitimate anger, sadness, disgust, etc. etc.. Not much happy, unfortunately.  XP I've never hated myself so much for something I did in a video game before FC3. I've never hated a character as much as I hated Buck. Strangely, I didn't find myself hating Vaas all that much.

The gameplay, however, is like a watered-down Far Cry 2. I don't know how to take that into my rating, because Far Cry 2 was so special that it's almost impossible to live up to.  o.O So as a gaming experience, I'd call it 10/10 for quality, but as a game? No idea.

The binding of Isaac: Rebirth

9.5/10

It's somewhat repetitive, evil, unforgiving, crushing and all that, but I still find it impossible to not go back for more.
I loved the original, and I love Rebirth even more thanks to the game now running nicely without lagging and the proper controller-support.

Papers, Please: 8/10

This game is stressful in more ways than one, I can only play a few hours at a time because I feel exhausted when I finish XD You have to make sure you get every detail right for each passport, going through as many as possible so your family doesn't starve and then the game bombards you with ethical choices and choices where you wonder "Should I do what X says, or do what Y says?"

It's a depressing but really well done game.

Adventure quest worlds 9.5/10

This is one of the few MMO's that I've played for more than a few months. It is a 2d side scroller but it makes up for it in content, and gameplay. The multi class system is really what keeps me playing. You can go from being a fireball slinging pyromancer to a web slinging arachnomancer to a head smashing berserker. There really is something for everyone here and I would suggest it to anyone who enjoys RPGs. Being a f2p game it does of course have microtransactions and a membership system. The microtransactions are just for apparel, weapons, (which don't deal any more or less damage), and shortcuts to classes you can easily get without paying for. The membership program only gives you access to a few new quest lines and classes. You can experience almost all the good the game has to offer without paying a dime.

Well now that I have a new computer I was really able to play this game and my review will be quick and painless. It was fun, it's fun to hack into random people and listen to the conversations their having, the story is confusing and not that interesting and most of the time I have no idea what's going on. Shooting mechanics are normal but stealth mechanics are interesting because of the hacking. That's basically my it

Telltales: Game of Thrones - Episode 1 8.5/10

If you like the series, you'll like this game and I LOVE the series. It was cool, the game is actually canon and works well with the events that happen in the books and TV series. IT references characters in the show (and in many cases actively involves them) without causing inconsistencies between the two media, which I thought was very impressive. In terms of gameplay it's like every other telltale game since The Walking Dead, basically an interactive movie, but fun none-the-less. The game really captures the game of thrones settings, even with the surprising moments that you didn't consider, which I won't go into as that'd be spoiling it. Regardless, the first episode was a good one and I'll be eagerly awaiting the second episode.

OH, one last thing, to avoid spoilers you'd want to play this game AFTER watching the series, (at the very least, you should watch the entirety of season 3 before playing) as spoilery events in the series play a major role in the story of the game.

Bayonetta

7.5/10

I kinda regret not picking this up for so long, because it met my expectations in the way that mattered. Not without its flaws, sadly. (spoiler cus big)

It's one of the "action-adventure" beat-em-up type deals in the vein of Devil May Cry, made for the PS3/360 and also made available through the Wii-U release of Bayonetta 2, I believe. On the subject of DMC, Hideki Kamiya was the director for this game as well. For better or for worse, he was also heavily involved with the story, which might explain why it's an incoherent mess held up on stilted one-liners and gratuitous anime-like violence. I know you might've played some of the DMC series, and those had some bare bones elements to them, but at least you could follow what was happening sometimes. Or the characters, despite being gimmicky in their own way, were put into relationships that were actually semi-believable so you could sort of invest yourself in what was happening while their stories played out. DMC 3, for example: Dante has the rivalry with his brother, and Lady wants revenge on her father for being an evil douche. Bayonetta? She's lady longlegs with guns and amnesia and several unspoken fetishes. And her character foils are: a chubby informant who is featured in, like, the intro and the credit cutscenes; a large token black weapon salesman/item vendor; a rival witch that is probably the only consistent relation with any depth, what little there is; a journalist that really wants to guilt Bayonetta and also be her love interest or something; a little girl who thinks of her as a mother, that's also used as a plot device so stupid that I still cannot believe it's in the story. Everyone Bayonetta interacts with is so detached from her for the majority of the game, and she doesn't seem to attempt showing empathy until almost the very end. And it's super awkward when it happens because 1) there's no sense of how she got to this point because it was never conveyed properly, and 2) whatever "development" that took place between the characters that were actually with her the majority of the time is nullified through storytelling things that really convolute the finished product and come off as silly because they don't contribute anything. I don't know. See for yourself if you happen to pick up the game.

The soundtrack's alright, but I wouldn't really call it a soundtrack. Jazzy, upbeat vocal tracks and orchestral flares for the occasional cutscene/boss encounter. But, that's all there is. This is a problem because the two primary fight encounter tracks are the same ones that you will be hearing whenever you fight mobs of enemies. With no variety or change until you get to those orchestral bits at boss time, during cutscenes, or in mini-game type sections. This is a problem because this a game based on fighting. This is a problem because while fighting, these two tracks are the only things you will be hearing over, and over. I really hope you like them (I do), because that's all the game gives you! Just a bad design choice in my opinion, especially when they showcased the talent they had at their disposal, only to do so little with it.

Visually, the game's great, as most contemporary titles are. Not much to say in that respect. It especially shows in combat, which I'll gush about in a little bit. Performance-wise, you might have to worry about some frame stuttering if you're playing on the PS3/360, but I expect more out of the Wii-U version. Level-design is mostly European cityscape-ish in influence, with the old, densely packed buildings being mixed in with modern amenities and architecture if that tickles your fancy parts. Also lots of floating platforms in empty space, but there's invisible walls so you don't fall off if you're fighting and not platforming, so it's k.

Now if Hideki drew a crowd for his storytelling and a few quirky design choices, it wouldn't be a very big crowd. No, he and his fans are in it for the gratuitous anime-like violence part that's done SO WELL that the rest of it doesn't matter! The gameplay is fluid, fast-paced, and as satisfying as any DMC I've played to date. Mobility is a key feature, giving you an effective double jump and dodge right from the start. This dodge also grants you the benefit of slowing down enemies momentarily to build your combos, if you can make a precisely-timed escape from an enemy's hit. (The amount of frames you're allowed is a little generous, but whatever. It's nice.) Combos feel as natural to execute as they should be when you're button mashing for your life/score. And if you want to get an enemy off the ground to deal with them more safely in the air, deal some extra damage, or just juggle, some of the combos reward you in these ways by, again, including timing as a requisite. Juggling enemies can be done, but at the risk of your health/score by potentially not noticing what other enemies are doing around you because you were too busy hammering Y and B. That's not entirely your fault though, because the camera is nothing to write home about. It has to fidget around pieces of the environment, or next to walls sometimes, but you can change its movement speed and the default invert settings (yes, people still do this for some reason) in one of the menus, so it becomes more manageable once you find a pace you're comfortable with. Otherwise, when you're just out in the open in combat, it stays at this 70-degree angle above Bayonetta and swivels around her position in a really zoomed out way. It'd be nice if it at least stayed consistent, but it has a tendency to focus in the direction of whatever enemy you've locked on to; more often than not this screws you over because attacking any enemy with ranged attacks tends to activate this effect, and it makes the camera not want to turn to see whatever bad guy's about to smack the back of your head. Or there are too many bad guys trying to smack all sides of your head and the camera decides it only wants to go a little bit higher than all of their heads and then stop, because overhead views are haaard. On a more positive note, the camera also changes for bosses and some mini-bosses, which is fine because they're pretty big, and it usually ends up in a Shadow of the Colossus kind of fighting style that can benefit from limited camera angles.

Anywho. That's about all I can think of.

TL;DR: if you like DMC, you will like this game. If that kind of combat and gameplay doesn't appeal to you, there's not many redeeming qualities for it to fall back on.

Shadow of Modor 9/10

A lot of the time I consider story to be important for games. It's good for proving it is an artistic medium to people who dismiss it.
However this games story is a little cliche, basic "dead family, get revenge" type deal. But games like this, where the game is really fun to play and the mechanics are solid, are such a treat that I just don't care about the samey story. The combat is reminiscent of the Arkham games and is pretty brutal in a very rewarding way, you feel like you really just kicked somethings ass.

Another plus about this game is the nemisis system, which if I am honest makes up for the story, all the Orcs (Uruks but eh same thing) are randomised in appearance, strengths, weaknesses and fears you can manipulate along with a name and title to create a personality, so when certain ones kill you multiple times it creates this ,much more personal kind of rivalry that most other games just can't nail. This game is practically perfect but not without it's minor flaws. I recommend trying it to literally anybody regardless of taste in games, it's just a good game.

Red orchestra 2 rising storn: PTSD/10
This game is super duber uber realistic. The gunplay is good, the sounds are great! And, when the team is good, the game is great!

But like this game is frigging traumatizing!
It's story time guis
So I was playing rising storm, I was an American, in a room with about four or five other dudes. Some jap threw a grenade into the room, killing everyone but me.
All of the other people lay on the ground screaming and gurgling their last. One, tears choking his voice, said "I'd do it for you, guys! I'd do it for you! Get over here and save me damnit!" The third said, and this quote is seared into my brain "Pa? Is that you? I just fell off the tractor is all."   :'(
The others, lay there screaming, gurgling, and writhing around on the floor of some Japanese house, never able to see anyone but the men dying with them.

Halo: The Russian version nobody is supposed to talk about. Buggy as one would expect in the menus, but the only bugs in-game involved melee while reloading a rocket launcher, and occasional respawn time length issues when lag was present. 90/10 Brozoufs

it's a really interesting game with a cool design. it was originally a mod for half life 2 (i think because it feels like it) and it was made by a single guy. there are plenty of strange things in the dialog because it's a poor french translation but that is what makes half of the game. the other half is some of the best elements in games i have ever scene. for instance hacking can be done anywhere and if you srew up you yourself can get hacked (don't worry it's not lethal unless you are stupid). it's also very difficult to play by yourself so try the co-op campaign and get ready for some ridiculousness (32 player co-op anyone?). also you are a cyborg and you can upgrade every part of your body with cybernetics.

Rust: 7.8/10

Rust is great fun, I feel it has the potential to be a truly amazing game! Playing on the servers is both harsh and rewarding, the game is unforgiving and you're with other players who are usually foe. But unlike games like DayZ, players are a lot more friendly, by no means will a player help you, most will kill you, but a lot of the time the player will give you a chance to run away or may even give you supplies. In DayZ, all players are to be feared, in Rust you really aren't sure what to expect when seeing another player.

The biggest downside of the game by far is the collider limit, the game can only support 2^16 physical colliders, which means that every week servers need to wipe the maps clean of all stuff so that they don't go over the collider limit. You build an awesome base and a week later it's gone, once they fix that issue, it'll become an incredible game.

No game, it's okay game. I didn't need all that spare time you have taken from me with your huge world and lots of contracts and side quests and distractions. This game isn't a ten for the simple reason that it's a good game, it isn't a perfect one, not by a long stretch, pretty much no games are, but this is one of the best games EVER! Sure, it's got technical issues but CDPR are working on fixing them as they are one of the most dedicated, if not the most dedicated developers out there. The game has a consistent mood that anyone who is a fan of GoT or ASoFaI will love.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: 9.7/10

As a fan of the Witcher franchise, I found The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to be incredible, definitely the best game I've played in a while! The Witcher 3 is a mature and complex story about politics, prejudice and relationships. It follows Geralt of Rivia, A mutated monster hunter, through his adventures in finding his long lost lover Yennefer, and adopted daughter Ciri, which are all characters mentioned throughout the witcher 1 and 2.

The visuals of the Witcher 3 are rather breath taking, not the best of visuals but definitely impressive! The soundtrack is something that I, in particular, really enjoyed. It had a celtic-theme but still had an epic feel, just listen to some of these songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8J9HXcOxrs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8J9HXcOxrs)

The story was phenomenal and one of the games best points. Choices you make in the game have far reaching consequences, a choice I made in the very first chapter of the game impacted the events near the end of the game, things like this happen all the time. The story is also brutal, there is never really an "easy" way out and you are faced with many ethically challenging situations and you have to sit back and watch the dreadful consequences of each of your actions. The characters are interesting, though there are so many characters with long and complicated names its easy to forget whose who. The war between the Nilfgaurdians and the Redanians is interesting, but you may have to do some research to fully understand it. One of the games highest points was Geralts relationship with Ciri, certain scenes in the game put a smile on my face and made me really feel attached to these characters and made me feel their relationship was truly authentic. Monster designs are beautifully disgusting, my particular favourite design was that of the Crones of Crookback bog, with their unusual and unique design that made me both repulsed, confused and intrigued. There are many monsters that make you feel legitimately repulsed, such as the Botchling and pester, it's generally hard for a game to do that so I thought it was great. There are a few possible endings that exist in the game, I think I got the most interesting one, but there's an more-up beat one and a very depressing one, I won't go into detail here but all I'll say is be nice to Ciri.

Gameplay wise the witcher 3 has a similar premise to the witcher 2, combat is all about timing and mixing signs when appropriate. The signs have been changed somewhat however and some of them have been seriously nerfed, while others have been more powered. The Yrden sign is now basically completely useless and only really useful for fighting certain types of wraiths, the alternate sign mode is much more useful but still doesn't have the same impact as the Yrden sign in the Witcher 2. Axii has become a lot more stronger, Axii instantly stuns any opponent now which makes most one-on-one battle trivially easy, and I was playing on the hard difficulty. The Axii's alternate mode is the same as Witcher 2's default Axii except now characters who are puppeted seem to do much more damage, I found myself not even happening to use any weapons and just have the guy I puppeted kill everyone else. Quen is the same as the witcher 2 but oddly has a different more subtle effect, the effect to know that you are shielded is so subtle that a lot of the times I thought I was shielded when I wasn't! I felt that was a quite a negative thing with the new Quen sign. Most of the combat outside of that is the same, with the exception that you can now meditate to replenish oils and potions and you can apply them in battle, a much needed addition of the game.

So altogether, fantastic games, very small hiccups are dwarfed by the major accomplishments. I had more fun playing this than skyrim, even though skyrim may have more content.

Halo: [CENSORED]

Could use some polishing, but that should be taken care of in an update or two. I won 4 SWAT games in a row with only the magnum, and a 5th after that on Valhalla with the use of a DMR for long-range engagements. Occasional reload bugs with the Mauler are a bit annoying, but I like the game, and see that it has potential depending on which direction it takes. While they did add the ability to host a lobby with much better stability, the amount of setup is a bit... much.

8.5/10 would slaughter everyone again.

Splatoon

Extremely fun game. Very original. Good gameplay. Lots to do now with all of the free updates. Very team-oriented. Difficult to carry a team of idiots, unlike in games like COD in which a single experienced player can carry a team of noobs to victory. Everyone has to do their part. Unfortunately, no voice chat, which makes coordinating moves and strategizing difficult, which really flies in the face of such team oriented gameplay. Haven't tried single-player campaign yet. I'm still learning.

9.5/10 would splat again.

Super Win the Game
10/10
Super Win the Game is a NES styled adventure play former where you have to find items to make your way to the final area. It has realistic CRT simulation, along with settings to change all the aspects of the CRT, just like on a real TV! This game provided me hours of entertainment in the day that I got it, and speed run courses  that add extra fun to the game! It's about $5 on Steam, I believe, and the prequel, You Have to Win the Game, is free! I'd recommend it to anyone.

Fallout New Vegas:

Vanilla- 6/10.

A fun game overall, a nice addition to the Fallout Series. I have to say, having waited this long to play it, I'm spoiled by not experiencing it in its super buggy release state. I love all the new additions that they added from simple things like Iron Sights, to how well done the dialogue is.

My biggest complaint would be that it does feel like it crashed more frequently than Fallout 3 did for me, and that some of the Skill Checks are in terrible places (IE: Main Mission quests/DLC quests, essentially forcing you to take the worse routes.)

Modded Experience- 9/10

Mods help this game shine, either literally with graphics, or with various other tweaks. I used EVE, NMC's Texture Pack, Wasteland Flora Overhaul, Enhanced Blood Textures, Alternative Start, Character Overhaul, FOOK, More Perks/Traits, Nevada Skies, Perk Every Level, Project Nevada,  Two Perks per Level, WMX, Unlimited Companions and Skill Based Perks. Overall, it really made the second playthrough all the more worth it.

And just makes me more excited for Fallout 4 ;-;

You used FOOK?

FOOK and PN (Project Nevada) seem to be the biggest ones, I've attempted to run it with both FOOK and PN with a convergence patch, but it failed =/. Overall, which one do you think would be better?

I probably should've mentioned that for my current runthrough, the third one, I've disabled FOOK. It messed with some of my other mods as well, and to be honest, all the additions from PN outweigh what FOOK brings to the table. I was pretty disappointed with it, and I think FOOK for Fallout 3 was much better than for this.

Granted, FOOK is the *only* mod I've ever really used for Fallout 3.

LBX: Little battlers Experience.

Nintendo 3DS.

If you have ever played a custom robo game then you are already really close to what this game is. BUT there are some huge differences that in my opinion makes this game much better. But before I go into details let me just cover the basics for the people who don't know custom robo first.

So the main premise of the game is that you make little battling robots based off of a humanoid frame. The robots are comprised of five sections: head, torso, left arm, right arm, and legs. You can mix and match sets together to get ideal defences, speed, or looks if you want you also give your robot two sets of weapons with various weapons to choose from. And you can even change the core of the robot. Upgrading minute things like minor weapon damage buffs to how many special attacks you can equip.

Now because this is a game about battling robots you're probably wondering what's the combat like? Hectic. Most of the time battles are three on three team fights and because you can change everything about each robot you don't know what exactly each is packing. and this is where the customization shines. Because there is also damage types that kinda make you robots a more rock paper scissors sorta thing. But even if you are at a disadvantage you can switch your weapon set and make it into a advantage. And how the fights work is like a brawler kinda thing mixing in combos and other things making the fights possibly quick.

Now the story is kinda stereotypical save the world sorta thing because you have a almighty item but it still tosses a few twists and turns that make it at least tolerable. It's also pretty humorous at points so... It's ok.

9/10 it would be perfect if it had a better story.

MGSV: The Phantom Pain 10/10

Story was great so far, and it was a game that both metal gear vets and newcomers alike could dive into. The stealth felt more organic than all others to date. The gunplay is exceptional, and the open world gives the player even more methods to their madness. The Easter eggs, jokes, and everything in between made this a true gem for many MGS vets.

I ain't even gonna dock a point because no David Hayter, because Keifer Sutherland did a fantastic job. MGSV was another of Kojima's masterpieces.

Gears Of War Ultimate Edition - infinity/10

It's Gears! Extra content originally cut, graphics update, enhanced audio, and a game that's been badass as its been a part of my life. The original came out when I was about 9 or 10, and me and my father would play it for hours. Every difficulty, COG tag, and headshot, all were spent getting closer with my dad. I skipped school when Gears 2 came out and had the epic edition preordered. 9 years later, it was remastered. Here I am, playing the remastered version 9 years later with my dad. I'm 18 now, and my god the feels. Gears is one of the few games I have an emotional connection to, and to have a beautiful remastered version playing it with my dad, it's awesome.

Multiplayer is good too!

Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth

10/10

Now 666 times more soul-crushing. And with that extra 0.5 Rebirth lacked. The new game mode is really fun, even tho I found ways to break it completely halfway through my first try xD
Other than that, it's just like it used to, only with more stuff that's trying to kill you, more literal crap, more room types, a few more alternate chapters, new items, new bosses, new endings... 100 hours more gameplay, according to the developers themselves.
This is a nice example of DLC done right. It makes the game feel alive again.

+ More "dark" storyline
+ Character customization
+ The ability to "play Nintendogs" with your Pokémon
+ Lots of references to the previous games

- No VS. seeker or similar item (at least not at the point I'm currently at)
- Not enough water

Basically the same old stuff they always manage to get people to buy, with some new 'mons and features added. Sure to please those who can accept Mega evolution, Fairy-types and the fact that Goomy is a Dragon-type while Charizard isn't.

The Good:  The music and artwork were superb.  The story was good overall.  The gameplay was nice.
It's similar to Diablo, though you have the ability to pause via "Plan."  When "planning," you, well, plan out your events, and accepting the plan executes it really quickly.  Planning an integral part of the game.  Also, leveling up gives you additional perks to use instead of boosting stats (there are few stats btw).  There is a main story line, challenges, and a "game +" mode.

The Bad:  The game length is short.  I completed it in only 4 hours.  While there are challenges, you can only access them at certain points in the game.  The game wasn't much of a challenge, as I found myself using the same few perks over and over again.  This made leveling up almost moot, as receiving new perks is useless if I'm not really going to change out the ones I have.

Overall - 7/10
Good game, but you don't get a lot out of it if you're not a completionist.

Star Wars Battlefront

9/10

I deduct points for the lack of maps, before I get destroyed for giving anything Star Wars less than a perfect score.

Pros:
Larger scale (as compared to 6v6 like old school shooters on Xbox 360 and such) Sar Wars warfare. When I played on Hoth, seeing in the distance my forces clash with the others while part of the battle rages in my section was cool as hell. The explosions, fighters flying overhead, the AT-ST's, the hero characters, it was just cool. It was that part of Star Wars I always wanted to see, the grittier warfare part. The small amount of customization was a welcome surprise as well! It really added to the "immersion" of it all. The unlocks are well spaced and it doesn't feel too repetitive. The hand system feels like a natural fit to the mechanics, and the weapons feel well balanced to suit different play styles and map situations. It overall felt well worth the money, especially preordering the Deluxe edition. I love it thoroughly, and if anyone wants to play it on XB1, PM me.

Edit: The lack of maps is due to the variety of the maps being spanned over the game types. I want more supremacy maps though. That would be nice. >~<

Uncanny Valley - 6/10

A unique indie game that's supposed to be played multiple times.  You are a security guard at some closed down security firm, tasked on guarding the now idle building.  Taking place across 6 days, you're supposed to collect a bunch of knowledge and items and, well, do stuff.  Not very descriptive, but you need to piece together the story.  There are a few major actions to perform, and your actions effect the outcome; there are a few different endings.  There's also supposed to be a little horror as well, but it's more pronounced at the beginning and ending portions of the game.

Sadly, the gameplay isn't all that invigorating.  Most of the game play comes down to walking around and reading stuff.  It's interesting, but monotonous.  On top of that, you're rushed each day, so you don't have enough time to sort through all of the information you gather.  Most of the gameplay comes from the few nightmare sections at the beginning, and the final section of the game.  The horror isn't that good as well.  There just isn't enough of it, and when it's there, it's not all that shocking.  Only a few times did it get under my skin.  Each run through takes about 90 minutes.  It's short, but again, it's a game that you're supposed to repeat.  But since the gameplay isn't all that good, there really isn't much of a reason to go back to it.

Overall, it is a unique game, but it's stale.  Maybe get it when its really cheap and on sale, as it is definitely a unique thing to go through at least once.  Just don't have high hopes for it.

Fallout 4

9.5/10

Great and awesome new installment to the fallout franchise. Mechanics are solid and strong every location is made with passion. You can tell because as you wander around some locations will be outright empty but there will be some strategically placed skeletons and notes that tell you what happened there.

For example:

I came across a sheltered dock with a buch of non-hostile Mr Handies scattered about. After doing some digging i found out that early after the bomb dropped two brothers stationed there and were getting ready to either go up or down the river. But sadly they argued over everything because one was uptight and strick while the other was carefree and messy. In the end on one of the brothers birthdays they both rigged the Mr Handies to attack the opposite brother.

If you read that then you could tell that there was plenty of care put into the game.

The reason though why i didn't give it a perfect is because they really dumbed down the game and there isn't any condition for the weapons. If it wasn't for those two little things i would be giving it a perfect.

Delver - 7/10

When I first bumped into Devler, I immediately saw some red flags.  First, it's one of those "retro" indie titles.  And secondly, its on early access.  But after looking into it and actually playing it myself, it's pretty fun.

Attempting to be like the classical PC RPG's, you run through a set number levels in an underground labyrinth in an attempt to retrieve a magical orb or whatever.  There are three main areas, and a final and smaller one.  Gameplay, however, functions more like a Doom clone than an actual RPG, but that's fine.  Game runs smooth, graphics look great, and the soundtrack is awesome.

The biggest problem with the game is that it's lacking content.  In only a few run throughs (a successful one takes 1 hour), you'll begin to feel worn out.  As stated before, it's more of a Doom clone.  With that, there aren't thinks like merchant skills, sneaking, et cetera et cetera.  All you do is run around and kill anything that moves; there are no classes and thus very little differentiation between playthroughs.

Of course, since it's in early access, it has a few problems, but nothing major.  Also, a major update is released about every three months, so there's definitely something to look forward to.  The game has modding capabilities as well, but there isn't much to mod, and there aren't many mods to check out.

Overall, it's a fun game, but it's not worth the full asking price.

Star Wars Battlefront
10/10

The only thing 'Star-Wars' related I've played recently has been Battlefront 2, to get into the mood for DICE's Battlefront release.
I didn't get it immediately, but instead bought it about a week ago.
Obviously, one of my first thoughts was that the game might get really boring really quickly because of the lack of maps. But I jumped into a game of Walker Assault on Endor and
oh sweet creamy christ
I immediately fell in love with the game. I adore Battlefield 3, and while it doesn't feel identical, it feels similar, probably because it's the same developer. And I love it.
The game is so unbelieveably pretty, and I'm restricted to playing the game on the lowest graphics because I'm limited by my graphics card. And they still pulled off raindrops landing on your weapon in a rainy environment. The gameplay? Eeh, not perfect by far. But it's certainly enjoyable, and the pure immersion created by using the original sounds and the dynamic soundscape of a battle on hoth from the tie fighters to the snow under your boots.

Not perfect and wouldn't pay £50 for it with how little it's currently got, but made me feel like I was really there. Any game that immerses me that well deserves a ten.

Fallout 4

3/10

Yes, you read that correctly. 3/10.

Warning. Spoilers Ahead.

Lore: For a start that's been ruined, from simple stuff like 'Why is there this brand new, unheard-of, power armour (T-60) only in Boston even though there's no major research facility or military instalment in the 'Commonwealth' and it's miles away from the Chinese mainland/west coast (where it was needed before the war)' to 'Why is there "Jet" on Vault-Tec's computer shipping log and in pre-war locations even though it was invented during the events of Fallout 2?' plus a whole load more lore complaints. Why, for example, does almost anyone have Power Armour when it was meant to be a massive achievement limited to either the BoS or the Enclave?.

GUI/Game play: The dialogue system. Do I need to say more? Four simplistic, voiced (which ruins immersion), boring ways of saying 'yes' to whomever you're talking to. Plus this massive back story you have for your character which doesn't belong in an RPG because the whole point is to make up your own back story and the like. Plus, settlement building in an RPG game?

I could go on forever but I will end it there and let you decide if it's good or not. It's not a bad game, mind you, just a bad instalment of the Fallout series. If it were unrelated to the series perhaps I'd love it.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon

8/10

When I first saw this game being unveiled, I was very hesitant. I love the mystery dungeon series, but Gates to Infinity was an absurdly polished trainwreck. However, I was quite happy with this latest release. It fixes most of the problems that Gates had, bringing the game more on-par with Explorers of Sky (minus what they did for the final main story boss, which is just a copy-paste of Gates with a different name. Why not have a Pokemon villain like you did with Rescue and Explorers?)

Anyways, the music is brilliant, a nice blend of old and new tunes. The graphics are more polished, and there is so very many places to explore! The new system of the connection orb for missions and recruiting is actually pretty fun. The difficulty is back, making you have to strategize your moves and your resources. Really my biggest gripe has already been mentioned here, and it's a nitpick at best. Because of the nature of the gameplay, it can get dull if you're playing it for hours straight, so just play an hour or two at a time to get the most enjoyment out of it.

Undertale

PC

10/10

What to say about it without spoiling it. Well it definitely surprised me a lot. I thought it was going to be a simple rpg with a good storyline. But that was completely off. It's actually a game about feelings, because mine were warmed and broken in the same play through. I smiled, cried, and felt as if I was genuinely making friends in there dispite not being able to tell them anything. I yelled at my screen in anguish just before the end and when it was genuinely over I felt... i guess I would say tired(even though it was midday). If you watched someone play it go play for yourself, if you haven't even heard of it go play it, and if you have played it go play it again.

Trust me it's that good.

Minecraft: Story Mode

I enjoyed the game, with the story, gameplay and aesthetics. Most enjoyable was hearing Dave Fennoy as Gabriel's voice.
However, for a Telltale game, it was very disappointing, mostly because it is a little flawed.

In all, I give it a 5/10

Last game I played: Terraria
Great sandbox, and that's about it. You can build tons of stuff but there's really nowhere to go after the bosses are all dealt with. I'd like to see a progressive difficulty added to it.

Last game I completed: Undertale (sort of...)
FANTASTIC GAME THAT HIT ME RIGHT IN THE FEELS SO HARD!!!!!!!
Playing through the first time, I loved it.
Playing through the second time, I loved it even more. I also made friends with everyone.
I can't bring myself to do the last "main" ending because I have developed too much of an emotional attachment to the characters...

Hang on... I think I caught something in my eye...
Yep... I did.
Wanna know what I caught?
TEARS :'(

Undertale is quite possibly the best game I have ever played, purely because it has such a deep story and an AMAZING SOUNDTRACK!!!
One problem with it: The best songs come from the run I don't want to do...
(Insert very large number here)/10
