a serious debate ive been listening to recently...
the government say they are going to use it to stop terrorists and sex offenders
...same thing they said when they started monitoring us from cars...and then the council abused it to make sure people put their rubbish in the right bin
i wondered if you guys knew about it and had something to say

All I gotta say is where's the line?
-
it's funny because this is how wars start

Do you have a link to a news article or anything?
-
My monitoring do you mean they'll be able to see your private posts, or do you mean they'll just be scanning public posts?
If its public posts then you shouldn't be saying things you don't want the public to know anyway. That's what always annoys me about my friends that put their entire lives out for the public to see on Facebook or YouTube, then get upset when their family or coworkers find out. You don't want it seen, don't make it public, Jesus Christ.

as in able to read your posts
if it is suspected terrorists fair enough but if they abuse it to see who you plan on voting for that is just... unfair...labour party did a similar spy thing and used it to get rid of a critic of their government
what i find worst though if you sent a pm with a very ..lets say ....dangerous joke privateley to a friend...you could get arrested.
