Dude... Sorry to say, but Paradise Lost was written by John Milton...

I've read a few lines from it. It's on my list of "Books I Want to Read Before I Die," but I've yet to have the opportunity.

We had a fairly large excerpt from it in our high school English Lit book (Perk of going to a Christian private school, eh? xD )

As for quality of what I read, is was pretty good, but our Lit book just didn't have enough to really appreciate it. :/

I've read both. Did a paper on paradise lost, actually. Not the easiest read but hey, if you've got the time, right?

Dante Alighieri wrote The Divine Comedy, John Milton wrote Paradise Lost.
I read both in high school and had to write a 10 page essay on them, so it does bring back bad memories.
But, I suppose if I didn't want a challenge I shouldn't have taken IB/AP classes. And it wasn't for nothing, since taking those classes meant I didn't have to take English in college.
At least it was better than the normal public high school classes, considering that they didn't read The Great Gatsby, but instead just watched the movie and took notes.
Pansies.
