Title: Oh dear god no.
Post by: Aoren Deringer on January 04, 2012, 06:54:43 PM
Ever feel like life just aint going your way? As I'm writing this I have one broken arm, and one "partially" dislocated shoulder. Different sides, makes me quite useless. Some buddies of mine are having a right good time making me oh so aware of how single I am and how not they are...
Oh, and some people just walked in who I've... Let's just say I dont care for them much. Moved away to escape them and they are here... Second time they've walked in on me doing... Something. My arthritic landlord got jumped by a dog I was supposed to be watching, my dog is probably dying on me I'm so obviously going to bomb this class I'm in... Heh.
Anyway that's that. Whatever.

My biggest issue, however. Is my neighbors son. He's probably.... Fourteen? Around there. Now my house is on a light downhill grade with a low speedbump right at the base. He has taken up gunning down the hill on an electric scooter at two AM to take the jump off of the bump. He does it over and over again... I asked him to stop, politely. Two is about when I turn in. What does he do? He continues to do it. I ask him again? He blows me off.

Hm I don't really think sabotaging his scooter would be the best idea, as it could possibly make him want to just piss you off more to get revenge, plus it's not really a mature thing to do to handle a situation like this. Have you talked to his parents about it? If they still say no, I'm not really sure what I would do, but I definitely wouldn't try to sabotage his scooter.

I'm sorry but the idea of wasting his scooter with an EMP seems too much fun. Depending on your likeliness of getting caught, it might be worth doing.

Of course there's always the boring option of talking to his parents.

I can think of several evil genius plans to keep him from doing that, but best would probably be just to get in contact with the local PD. Not sure of the laws in your area, but where I am we have curfew laws for underage peeps. As well as road laws that make what he's doing illegal.

If its the noise that bothers you-earplugs/noise canceling headphone seem like the easiest and most foolproof option...

I can really help you with this one! My friends have done this a lot & its fun everytime. Get some extra slick skateboard wax, it wont come off easy. Its made to eliminate friction when skaters do grinds, also works good as rosin for musical instruments. Just slick up the bump, you cant get arrested for it, but he can get arrested for disturbing the peace.

I've been in trouble for this many times but there is nothing illegal about making something slick (haha). I've been in jail overnight a few times for it but all i learned is that you can get good sleep there. If the person gets hurt theres no way you can be found out plus its not a serious fall, at best this person will get minor scrapes & bruises. Also the slick will stay there so he will most likely find a new spot.

parrafin wax, petroleum jelly (vaseline), olive oil. just needs to be slick & itll harden up so u can use it easy. also makes good rosin, hairgel, crayons, pastel paint, etc. more olive oil for slickness, vaseline will make it easier to use, parrafin wax is what holds it together. you can put it in an old deoterant sick container, thats what skaters do.

I'd think the responsible thing to do is contact the parents, if the parents don't like it contact the Neighboorhoodwatch/Council/Police and get them to stop.

Still love the idea above me though XD

Stand underneath the solitary streetlight outside his house wearing a trench coat and hat, without your face showing, whenever he leaves the house, stare into his eyes until he passes by, then when you're out of his sight whisper in his ear "I'm watching you" and disappear around the corner before he can see who it was.

I think you can get arrested for that.
