This is probably gonna sound ridiculous, but I continually feel that I've thrown away my life and there's nothing I can do. Now, I'm 16 (see why it sounds ridiculous?) But I can't escape that feeling. I've talked to my parents, my therapist, and they've told me that I've still got a long ways to go before I die and I've got more than enough time to reach my goals. And they're right. And I've been trying to convince myself of that, but the feeling still lingers. I feel that I shouldn't try to do anything since I've already missed my chance.

how can you waste a presently short life? there's still a myriad of experiences open to you. I used to feel trapped (still do) but as time goes on and you free yourself from authoritative figures and discover yourself then the trapped feeling dissipates. you are the master of your own fate crazycat!

Yeah I currently feel this way, like I'm wasting my life away sitting indoors not having a social life, and I'm 19. But my mom tells me my brain is still developing and I will change eventually or something.

Trust me, you have plenty of time ^w^ im only a year and a half older than you, but alot happens in that short spand of time. You might come across a person, or it could be something you see that hits you like a rock, you'll realized something about yourself and it will set a path you want to take. I can't say when, and you can't look for it. it just happens. Part of this is something my favorite sculpturing teacher told me and its very true, you just have to try looking towards the brighterside :)

This is a scary thought, but i hope it means something to you. You won't begin to change your social life unless you try to. If you never take a step towards making a difference by talking with other in the real world it will always be hard to talk.

Hrmm... you guys do make a good point. Yes, I have a lot of time to live, but what if an accident happens and it cuts my life short? Then I would have lived for nothing :(

at least you can say you were laughing your butt off when it happened?

well- wait what?
How would I be able to say anything if this hypothetical accident killed me? :?

lol, unforently i agree.
But i come to the conclusion that if its going to happen its going to happen and there nothing that can be done. Now we are able to change the future or that there but that thought will all ways be there and our time will be as well.
So i like to live my life to the fullest with out much concern of when it will happen.

I feel that way as well. I suspect its just because I don't have a job right now. Anyway, if you don't do so, you should set daily goals. Goals that will make you feel as if you accomplished something. Over time, this should make that cursed wasted feeling vanish. If you already do that then you might need something new to do till that become boring or a regular habit. I suggest trying to find more time practicing that C++ you have been doing.

I know, and I don't want to try to improve my life/social life or whatever, which is again why I said I'm pretty much just screwed. I'll be alone till I die I guess.

Good point. I need to stop worrying about the future. Just focus on the present and let the events come.
