Dovu pushed open the door to the pub and had a seat by one of the front windows. He did the best he could to avoid any eye contact, and instead kept his eyes on the street and his horse that was tied up. He ordered a drink and kept looking at the sun as it started to fall closer to the horizon. "Where are they?" He kept asking himself, eagerly tapping his foot.
-
Danny walked through the door not long after him, dressed in women's clothes so as not arouse too much suspicion. She took a look around, seemingly bored, before settling her gaze on the lion at the seat. She walked over to him. "You don't happen to be Mister Dovu, do you?" she said, a slight northern accent tinting her words.
-
Over in the corner, a dark cloaked figure regarded the girl. A mask was pulled over his head, hiding every facial feature but his eyes. However, he stayed silent, placing his hand on the hilt of the sword that hung next to him and muttering something that sounded a lot like "No, Dragomir."
-
"Who wants to know?" He asked the woman, looking around to make sure no one had started eavesdropping. He made eye contact with Matthias who was sitting over by himself. Under the table Dovu signaled him to stand down.
-
She grinned, sharp teeth gleaming in the light. "Oh, I have business with him. I heard he had a job open for new riders," she said, tipping her hat up a bit to get a better look at him. A thin, old scar stretched from her brow to the corner of her mouth.
-
I am... it's my freaking sword that isn't, Matthias signaled back. He forced the blade back into the scabbard totally.
-
*Elizabeth puts her hand in font of her mouth to disguise her little yawn. the person sitting across from her was practically boring her into the grave but she just HAD to liberate that lovely parcel from him. *
"so what is such a fine lady like your self doing so far from your home? " he asks * Lizzy smiles a bit and looks down at her hands now folded in her lap.*
"nothing really sir. just trying to make it on my own.. I am not one for the farm life. " she bats her eyelashes and smiles softly.* "I hated getting my clothes dirty, it was just completely unbearable. a Lady should not have to slave about out in the fields."
*he smiles, and stands. Offering her his hand he helps her up and they walk out and into the street.* "You are too fine of a lady to be working in the fields. Lets go for a little walk shall we?"
*Lizzy smiles* "why not? It is quite a nice day for a walk." /and a nice day to liberate you of that pouch of gold/
(he will be gone as soon as i steel the gold.. XD dont worry.)
-
"Ah, have a seat miss. Yes, im Dovu." He waved the waitress over and had her bring two more glasses of scotch. "So, youre looking for work are you?" Feeling comfortable with the atmosphere, he felt it safe to signal Matthias over without causing suspicion.
-
She smiled and sat across from him. "I've seen your "Credentials". Quite impressive. Of course, I would never seal a deal without a test, if you wouldn't mind. What do you say?" She leaned back, picking up one of the glasses.
-
Dovu laughed and leaned back while adjusting his hat. "Now wait a second. Who's hiring who exactly?"
-
She grinned. "Oh, I forgot my manners. Sorry for assuming you would choose me." The entire time she talked and sipped the drink, the cocky smile never left.
-
*A bit later Lizzy walks into the (cant find a good word....) and sits at the bar her hair is curled and she now has a rather nice fan and a small purse that she doubtless got from the gentleman that she was walking with earlier in the day. She sips on her ordered drink while listening to the rather intresting conversation going on between three people. A lion, Cat, and what ever the other one was... she did not see him as a threat. Though she kind of liked the sword he had at his side.*
-
"If youre looking to make some serious gold, you've come to the right person. However, I need someone like you who knows this country side well, and the people that live here. If you want the job, Ill need you to do something for me. Something that shows I can trust you, and that you know you're way around this little town." Dovu said. He leaned in close to talk so no one else could hear. "As you have to understand, your safety is not ensured. It never will be."
-
"I'm always up for a challenge. What do you have planned?" she said, downing the rest of her drink. "And if my safety is ever assured, I'm not interested. No addreline rush without the chance of death."
-
"Sir," Matthias said, "it may interest you to know this conversaiton isn't as private as it was." He motioned towards a youngish mouse who had entered and was sitting at the bar.
The sword started to move out of its holster again.
"No!" Matthias whispered harshly, slamming it back down into the sheath.
(Kaya, I would advise you not to steal the sword. He'll kill you without a second thought.)
(And by "he", I mean the sword.)
(I'm not kidding. Did you look at my character sheet? If not, then do it.)
-
*Lizzy yawns and slides off her chair.* "Thank you Scott, darlin. but i should get going. i have got to meet a few more people this morning." *she waves to the Barkeep and goes to the door hiding another small yawn.* /i have seriously got to stop staying out so late.. / *She catches a glint of light reflecting off the metal of a rather nice looking revolver barely visible beneath the lion's jacket. she walks past the table and says as she is going past,* "Sir you may want to fix your jacket." *and with that she walks out and mounts up on Jasper. She rides a way down the road ans into the country side to the abandoned shack that she calls home.*
-
Matthias watched as the mouse left the bar.
"Well... she seemed suspicious," he said.
Come on, kid! Let me out! an odd voice yelled.
-
Dovu grunted as the stranger walked past. He sat forward in his chair and adjusted his black trench coat. "Anyway, if you want part in our plans miss, the test is not easy. The bank thats across the street has a safe that belongs to a Mr. Rodney Albertson. Rumor has it hes the wealthiest man in south west. We certainly need that money more than he does. He problably wont even know its missing. I need you to make friends with the bankers if you havent already, and I need blue prints of the bank. The print should tell what kind of locks are in use and the easiest way to break into the vaults. You should be able to find them in a drawer in one of the offices. Bring it back to me, and we will further more discuss our plans. Think you can manage...miss uh...Im sorry, I didnt catch your name."
-
Okay, THAT'S IT! the voice said in a booming tone.
Suddenly, the sword leapt from its sheath and aimed itself at Dovu and the other girl.
"NO, DRAGOMIR!" Matthais said, grabbing the sword's hilt before it even got within range of killing the other two. The feline rolled about on the floor, seeming to struggle with the sword. Finally, after what seemed an interminable time, Matthias managed to shove the sword back in its sheath and place the restraint thong (STRIP OF LEATHER, NOT UNDERWEAR) around the blade's hilt. The voice continued to let out a stream of cusses that would have made even the most foul-mouthed bandit cower in disgust.
"Oh, shut up," Matthias said, banging a gloved fist on the weapon's pommel.
Exausted, the masked cat sat retrieved his broad cap and sat down in a chair.
"I'm SO sorry about that," he said, retrieving a dagger from his cloak and spinning it between his gloved fingers.
-
She looked on, intrigued. "A fine sword I'd say. It a bit roudy?" she purred lightly before turning to Dovu. "My name is Rachel. I'll take the job."
-
"Matthias, I warned you about that damn sword of yours. Why cant you just get rid of the bloody thing." Dovu looked around and noticed everyone staring. "Come on." He grabbed Matthias' wrist and dragged him out the swinging doors. "If you got someone killed in there we'de have to look for another town to run to. This is perhaps one of the last settlements in the west that doesnt want our heads. If you cant control it, im getting rid of it myself. Do you understand?" He let go of him and and walked back to his horse to untie him. The sun was down and the stars were all shining bright. He waited for Rachel to come outside.
-
Matthias quickly ran behind a building where no one could see him and began to carve a rune into the ground.
Dragomir struggled against the thong until it finally came loose, then hopped out.
What the home, kid? it said as Matthias drew the rune. We're supposed to be punishing these scumbags.
Matthias looked up at Dragomir, removing his face mask to reveal the face of a young cat.
"Were you even listening to the other Keepers?!" he whispered loudly. "We're supposed to work with these guys in order to stop the other gang! THEY'RE the ones we're supposed to punish!"
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well anyway, the sword said, I'm gonna take a nap. Wake me up later.
With those final words, Dragomir hopped back into the sheath.Matthias sighed. "Stupid attercop..."
"Still having problems, I see."
Matthias looked up and met the gaze of his other companion. "Hi, Redtail," he said, patting the demonic horse's nose. "Dragomir nearly killed our allies... AGAIN." The feline pulled the mask over his head, put on his hat, and mounted Redtail, taking hold of one of the chains. "I don't think he takes me seriously."
"It's to be expected," Redtail replied. "You're new to this, and Dragomir's been at it for centuries. He considers you to be of a lower rank than him, and probably resents you a bit because of your new ideas and such. You'll grow on him, don't worry." The horse looked towards the edge of the building. "I believe we'd better go join the other Colts," he said.
Matthias smiled beneath his mask. "That's a fair idea."
With that, the two of them rode to the front of the building, where Dovu and Rachel were waiting for them.

*Lizzy hops off jasper and de-tacks him.* "Jasper you know you dont have to stay with me. Mother is gone. I know you liked her more than me." *Jasper tosses his head and snorts*
J: "I have told you this before, i stay because I wish to stay with you. Someone has got to help you get out of trouble." *He snorts and lightly nudges her into the shack that doubles as a makeshift barn as well.* "You know we can use that money of yours to build a house and a nice stables, instead of giving it to that banker you keep flirting with."
*Lizzy roles her eyes* WELL. i need an excuse to go there and watch them open and close the vault if i even have the slightest chance of getting even more money back, Jasper. *She yawns.* I think i should catch up on some sleep. *Jasper snorts again*
"Excuse me but i do believe earlier you promised me a few apples if i behaved like a "normal" horse. Fork them over or i am going to look for them my self Lizzy."
"Ok ok i will get them and DONT call me Lizzy, i hate the name.. it is Elizabeth, NOT Lizzy. *She reaches into a basket and tosses Jasper three apples.* "I did not mean to forget, i have just been tired. *She lays down on a sleeping mat in the far corner away from the door, after changing into her night gown.* "Jasper can u wake me up when the sun gets close to the tree line?"
yes of course i will, and i am going back out to graze.
*he walks out and grazes.*
*Liz falls asleep*
-
Rachel followed them out, smiling and tipping the bar maid.
-
Matthias rode up next to Dovu.
"I had a talk with Dragomir," he said. "He's probably not gonna change, though. Then again, that's not really my fault."
-
Dovu grunted at Matthias and then looked back over at Rachel. "I want those blueprints by tomorrow." He said getting on his horse. "Meet me here around the back at sunset." He looked back at Matthias. "Ill be making camp to the North. Feel free to join." He pulled gently on the reins and made two quick whistles, and the horse began to trot down the road.
-
Matthias turned to Rachel.
"I... suppose that I'm helping you, then?" he asked.
-
One a mile or two out of town, Dovu began setting up his pitch tent. He made a fire and rolled out his blankets. He stared at the stars and fell asleep in no time, the fire still glowing brightly.
-
Rachel smiled. "Guess so. Better keep up kid. I don't wait for anyone."
-
Matthias looked over at her, grinning beneath his mask.
"Don't worry," he said.
The feline flicked his wrists, causing his guns to spin out of his sleeves, stop, and go right back in.
"I'm pretty fast."
-
"We'll just see about that." She took one of the saddle bags off K. C., scratching his sweet spot. "Mind if I change into something more... suitable?"
-
"No. Hold on." Matthias covered his eyes. "Okay, you can go ahead now," he told her.
-
She changed quickly from her dress to her riding outfit, whistling when she was done. He attire very clearly signalled who she was. Kacey Ray.
-
"Can I uncover my eyes now?" Matthias asked.
-
"Go ahead."
-
Matthias uncovered his eyes ans looks over Rachel's new attire.
"Nice hat," he said bluntly. "It matches your eyes."
-
Rachel turned to put the bag back on to hide her blush. "Uh, thank you."
-
"You're welcome."
Matthias stared into the distance. "So what is our mission, Rachel?"
-
*lizzy wakes up later and frantically searches for her clothes. It is dar outside and she whistles for Jasper and when he did not answer or come so she quickly dressess, and starts running toward the town, she stops when she sees a small camp and a tethered horse. She thinks for a second and cuts the horse lose and catches a glimpse of the poor sleepping fellow she was taking their horse. It was the same lion from the bar. /oh well.../ quietly* hey, you woulden't midn comming with me into town would you darlin? *she quitly croons to the horse.* come on we will be right back, not to worry. My mount deserted me. Would you mind carring me into town? *She monts up and starts into town.*
-
Matthias, who had strong senses, suddenly realized that something had happened.
However, before he could find out what that something was, a random horse rode up to Redtail and whinnied.
"Oh dear," Redtail said aloud. "It appears that this poor fellow has wandered off from its owner and cannot find his way back."
(It's Jasper.)
-
(Bwhahah he is distracting u guys for me. :) ) *jasper nickers and nudges Redtail and prances arund*
-
Matthias stared at the horse. "Hmm... something's not quite right..."
Just then, he noticed Dragomir struggling to remove himself from the sheath.
"Yeah... that's a thief's horse..."
-
*jasper shies away at the sound of the sord and lays his ears back. Lizzy hopsoff of the lion's horse and wwalks in the back door of the bank and looks through the drawrs for the key to the first lock while petting the guard dog who is happy to see her, thinking she is going to give him a treat.* not now rufis, wait let me see you. *lizzy caches a glimpse of a key on Rufis's collar.* you are a good boy yes you are. *lizzy grabs the key and inserts it into the lock and jumps a but when a Feline comes in.* oh h-hi there..
-
(Is that Feline Me?)
-
I was thinking more of aldrea and you, so let's wait..)
-
(Alrighty then. YAWN.... I'm off to bed. G'night!)
-
Rachel was working on the lock of the vault when the door behind them opened. "Well, got a rival do we?"
-
"Hello," Matthias said.
He walked through the door, leading Jasper.
"I believe that this is yours?" he said. "He was..."
Suddenly, he felt a tremor deep in his soul.
"Oh crud," he murmured. "We're in trouble."
He turned back to the mouse.
"That includes you, miss."
-
Rufis starts growling at the male feline and Jasper.* Jasper get him out of here! You weren't soposto let him come in love. *Jasper tosses his head and pushes Matthias against the wall and snorts.* /I know what I am doing... the banker is comming so I sugest you act like you are trying to keep them from stealing the money if you dotn want to get caught Elizbeth./ *Elizbeth looks at the the other two in the bank and crosses her arms* Get out of here. You don't belong in here so scoot. Shoo!
-
"The banker, eh?" Matthias said. He pushed Jasper off and drew his knife.
"Don't worry," he said, turning the knife around so that he held the blade.
"I've got this."
He hid in the shadows by the door, and as the banker came in, the feline gave him a good, solid thump over the head, knocking him out.
"Rachel!" he whispered. "Are you still okay?"
-
Damnit you did not have. To do that to Don! *lizzy hurrys over and checks his pulse.* wait how did you hear Jasper? Only I can...*she looks confused*
-
Matthias glanced down at the mouse.
"My horse speaks horse," he said. "And English."
-
*Elizabeth looks suprised.* mm s u atually took the time to learn the language? *Jasper fidigts and starts backing away. Elizabeth has a really calm facial expression suddenly.* /you guys may want to leave. Now. Before somethin bad happens..../ *he backs out and stands away a good distance. Lizzy starts tapping each finger to her thumbs repeatdly and is muttering under her breath.*
-
Matthias recognized the gesture... the start of a spell.
"I wouldn't do that...."
-
*she cloaks her self and holds her knive to Matthias's throat. The only give away is the cold feeling of the knive to his skin.* you have royaly messed up my plans boy. Don't! Move girl. 8she throws one of her knives and it embeds its self into Rachels sleve and cuts her arm. The knife that lizzy through was visiable the moment it left her hand.* I worked my asrse off getting this far and am not going to let MY reward go to you two brats and a dumb talking sowrd. You will leave, if you don't want any more trouble from me. *elizabeth snarles in Matthias's ear. This is such a personality shift from the small helpless looking mouse that she was before.* what do you say to my offer eh?
-
(Sorry! Kay, please do my character when you're on and it more than oe or two posts. It always seems like I'm just standing there...)
Danny growled. "You one to talk. It's called take your money when you get the chance, and you didn't."
-
Ok darlin. ^_^)
-
While the mouse talked, Dragomir got really pisssed.
Just a talking sword?! Let me at her, kid.
Matthias began to carefully remove the strap from Dragomir.
Okay, man, he told the sword telepathically. Just get the knife away from my throat. Don't kill her or anyone else. Because if you do, I swear I'll tell the other Keepers.
Fine... but you owe me.
Dragomir leapt from the holster, knocked away the knife, and tripped the girl. Matthias caught her.
"Now," he said, "maybe we should stop trying to kill each other and work together instead?"
-
([kaya.] Um cif... my character is INVISIABLE!!! um how can ur sord figure out where i am? just saying and i was nice to you in letting you do your reaction ad i think i ..wait i KNOW i want the same curticy.. sorry i am just a bit tired of ppol taki ovr my person's reactios..... )
-
Dovu woke up as the sun was just starting to rise and the star were starting to disappear. He put on his hat and looked around. He noticed his horse missing.
"Crap..."
He knew his horse was tied up well...someone must have taken him. He whistled a few times in each direction. After hearing and seeing nothing, he packed up his tent and belongings and threw them over his back. It must have all weighed atleast 40 pounds. He started walking in to town. Anger and frustration took over his mind. If Rachel and Matthias didnt have the blue prints he would be more than upset.
-
*elzibeth glares at matthis.* why should I help you two? What is in it for me?
-
"What should be in it for you?" Rachel said, taking out her revolver and aiming at Elizabeth. "I say we make sure to keep it to us."
-
Put me down Matthais, please........ and I can get inside information, and want a cut of the profit if I like the prospects. So stop pointing that silly little gun at me before you hurt yourself.
-
"Rachel, put that damn thing away," Matthias said. "You can't just go around shooting people." He set the mouse down and looked her in the eye.
"Look, I'd be okay with you joining in, but... well, you did steal our leader's horse, so I suggest that you stay behind me at first. As for what you get, that will be the Lion's decision... although if he lets you in, you'll definitely be more protected."
He stood up.
"Now, if you would excuse me, we still have to find... oh, there they are."
Matthias walked over to a nearby desk and picked up the roll of blueprints.
"Weird how they didn't lock them up in a safe. Anyway, we should beat it before the sheriff shows up."
-
They were there because rufis had the key around his neck those are kept in the drawer. The sherrif dosent get here until a bit after sunrise. Let's just go now...
-
Matthias drew two fingers across his lips.
"That's as close as I can get to a smile while I'm wearing this thing," he said. "Alright, let's go. But remember, stay behind me until we clear things up with Dovu."
-
*rachel puts away her revolver and looks supiciousally at Elizabeth* fine but it does not mean I am going to trust her.
*elizabeth crosses her ams* it was his fault for not keeping a better eye on his horse. *elizabeth whistles and jasper nickers and so does Dovu's horse.*
-
"True, but he's still gonna blame you for it."
Matthias forced Dragomir back into the sheath and hopped on Redtail's back.
"Let's ride!"
-
*racheland elizabeth mounted up and elizabeth has the lins horses reigns in her hand and is sitting atop jasper. They all head off*
9I forget dovo's horses name sorry)
-
(haha its okay i forgot what I named him as well. His name is Maverick)
Dovu walked into town and sat down to rest. The town was beginning to come to life as people emerged from the shops and homes. He whistled loudly in the air. When Maverick heard the call he bucked and pulled the reigns tightly.
-
*elizabeth hops from an unsaddled Jasper and on to Mavrick and let's him take off with her on him. Jasper hurries after along after*
-
(Well, it looks like I'm gonna have to use a bit of force on Dovu...)
"Oh, shite," Matthias whispered beneath his breath.
"I'm on it, sir," Redtail exclaimed.
The demonic horse quickly gained speed, catching up with Elizabeth in a matter of seconds.
"You have to get off the horse!" Matthias yelled. "Dovu'll kill you if he sees you riding it! AND HE JUST SIGNALED HIM!"
-
(Let it play out cif... a bit of violence is good in a rp. Makes it intresting.) *elizabeth laughs at Matthias* I know he did, I just want to see his face when her relizes it was a woman that stole his horse. That and I do nee to talk with him.
-
"*sigh* Okay..."
Matthias drew his guns, spinning them in his hand s before catching them
"Let's get this over with."
-
I toALLY FORGOT THIS EXISTED........) elizabeth let's the horse carry her to where Dovu is and she sits smiling holding on to the safe blueprints. "I wonder I can use my knowlage to bribe. "
-
Dovu stood in the middle of the street as he heard voices approaching. He brushed his trench coat to the side revealing his revolver, prepared to face whoever dared to steal his steed. He squinted as the stranger appeared on his horse, and his paw tightened on the handle of his gun.
-
"NO!"
Matthias rode up, taking hold of Dovu's arm.
"Don't... hurt her," he said. "She's just having some fun... plus, if you did kill her, then most likely my sword would kill you before I could stop it..."
"Would not!"
"SHUT UP!!!!"
-
Dingo noticed there was a group of people with his horse, some of which were recognizable. "Get off my horse, before I make you." He said, pulling his revolver back about an inch, having it ready to draw in the case of the strangers tried something funny.
-
elizabeth dismounts clutching the blueprints. "your horse sir. fabilious peice yet again... i would put it away.. I would hate for you to get hurt by a girl who holds the blueprints for the safe."
-
Dingo grabbed Maverick's reigns and mounted the saddle. He readjusted his hat to block the hot desert sun from beaming on his face. "Ah yes, the blue prints. You're lucky you brought those back along with my horse in one piece, otherwise Ide be paying the ammo store a visit this afternoon. I expect an explanation as to why he was stolen in the first place, and it better be good." Dingo looked at them from atop his horse and gave an intimidating stare from underneath the shadow of his hat.
-
"you left him unguarded. my horse was off somewhere else and you are not geting the blueprints. I remember seeing you in the tavern... unless two guns like that exist. Which i highly doubt two of them do. what exactly do you employ others for? or do thies two just follow your every word for treats?" She smiles darkly.
-
What am I, chopped liver? Dragomir said.
Matthias glared at Dragomir, then looked up at Elizabeth more calmly... or as calm as he could with a mask on. "No, actually... and frankly, that was kinda hurtful..."
-
"No one has ever stolen my horse before. He must have trusted you." Dovu said. "And you got the blue prints...." Dovu tapped the side of Maverick with the side of his foot making him start to trot. "Im employing so I can stay alive. Ever heard of the Dakota clan? Theyre kinda out for my head. Lets say they framed me up for quite a large bounty in some neighboring towns. Anyway, which one of you has a place we can stay?" Dovu looked around to make sure no one else was around before saying softly, "That bank isnt going to rob itself, we need a hideout."
-
Matthias thought for a second, then turned to Redtail for advice.
"It wouldn't be a good idea," the horse said. "But... it might just work."
Matthias nodded, then turned back to Dovu.
"Well... if you don't mind heat," he said, "I might have a place we can hide..."
-
Dovu thought for a few moments. He never believed in magic, nor was he very religious, but he took a strong stance on what he believed in. He was a bit skeptical about the idea, but was quite interested. "I was thinking more of like a house or a ranch."
-
"um.. i have a bit of a house left... a place to hide the horses too.. you just cant mind the mess. i dont do cleaning." Jasper trots over and looks at her accusingly "i dont want them at our house..." he snorts and lays his ears back.
"shush jasper it will be fine. he'll get over you guys coming. it's out past where you were camped..Dovu...was it?"
-
"Yes," Matthias said. "That's his name." Inside his head, he was secretly releived that the girl had come up with another option.
-
"that's right." Dovu said. "I'm sure your place will do just fine. Why don't u lead the way dear?"
-
Rachel sat quietly aside, polishing a gun. The conversation hardly concerned her, and she'd be leaving soon enough. She smirked. "I work for myself Girly. Soon as this dries up, I'll hit the road." She stood and grabbed K.C.. "Lead the way Hun."
-
Matthias shrugged and mounted Redtail. "There's... really nothing I can say here that they haven't already said."
-
Elizabeth mounts up on jasper. she has no saddle nor reigns but guides the group quite a ways out. the house was indeed not too much.. the remains of that were of an old ranch, the barn was in rather good repaire, better so than the house its self. there were a few trees here and there... well to be more accurite the skeletons of the trees remained.
"here we are... the barn is in better shape than the main house because thats where i spend most of my time.. its more comefortable as well.. "
-
Matthias looked around. "Hm... nice place."
For a hellhole...
"SHUT UP, DRAGOMIR!!!" Matthias bonked his sword's pommel.
-
"This is perfect." Dovu said. "Plenty of room for all of us...a nice place indeed." He trotted up next to Elizabeth and Jasper. "I appreciate your hospitality dear. Maybe once we get our money we can fix this place up a little, yeah?"
-
Elizabth smiles "that would be nice, Marci would love to see it restored. even if shes no longer around to really see it. if the rest of you would dismount... go ahead and follow jasper, he knows where to go. I need to get some stuff in the house ready."
-
Dovu hops off maverick and follows Jasper. "Go ahead Elizabeth. We should start planning soon. We will meet you in the house as soon as possible."
-
"please make sure to watch your step when coming into the main house. a few of the steps are loose." She smiles and walks off and jasper snorts shaking some flies off his side.
(come on everyone else.. hehe i cant do nothin till u guys post. :3 )
-
"Thanks for the warning, miss," Matthias said, dismounting from Redtail. "But... could you explain how Jasper will lead us?"
-
Rachel serveyed the area. "I think K. C. and I would be more comfortable outside, thank you."
-
"maverick and I will be more than happy to take any shelter we can get." dove said. "I suppose we will meet u inside Elizabeth after Jasper shows us our place."
-
"jasper is extremely intelligent, he is more than able to show you the barn, and Rachel if you ever need anything you feel free to go to the barn or inside but tell me before sundown, i lock up and will not let anyone in into the house. you will be plight please, or you will be out of a place to stay. follow after jasper, if you have any further questions after come to the house."
Elizabeth walks to the house and disappears, Jasper starts walking to the barn, its odd to say but he does look annoyed, and snorts at everyone else clearly wanting them to follow him. /Elizabeth, you are lucky i adore you.. if i didn't this would be totally unacceptable/ Elizabeth chuckles a bit while picking up stray bits of trash and quickly tidying up a large space so they could all sleep in the house. in truth she had never really slept in the House, always out in the barn in the little makeshift bed in the exposed hay loft above the stalls.
-
Dovu follows Jasper into the barn and finds an open stall of hay for maverick and him to settle down in. He took all of his gear off mavericks back and laid it down on the side. The tired horse laid down quietly in the hay falling asleep almost immediately. Dovu examines the scar on his companions throat. The infection has almost gone away, it's been nearly a month since the Dakotas tried to slit his throat, severing his vocal cords. It was a miracle he was still alive. Dovu sighed before looking up to Jasper. "I want to thank you again for welcoming us into your home. I'm truly in your debt..."

Jasper glances around and seeing no one else yet sighs. "don't worry about it. Even thoug she'll deny it. she likes the company. i should stop talking.. elizabeth does not like me talking with other people." despite the bad exterior the inside of the barn is well repaired. the hayloft is exposed and is over all of the stalls. the stalls, seven of them, run the length of the first half of the barn. it looks more lived in than anything else.
-
"Well, lets let everyone settle down before we have our little meeting in the house. In the mean time..." Dovu pulled out the scroll of the bank blue prints and started looking them over, preparing a strategy.
-
Rachel lead K. C. to a grove of old trees, hopping off quickly. Broken branches and dead leaves were strewn across the ground. Logs lay where they'd fallen, some more gone than others. She set to clearing branches from the area, piling them nearby. She gathered leaves into piles around the branches, K. C. rolling in the larger one contentedly. She didn't use anything but a blanket and saddle bags, both she'd taken taken off, so he was fine to do as he pleased. His harness was tucked safely in her bag a moment later.
Shivering, she quickly started a blaze, laying in her leaves. She pulled her hat down and blanket up, curling up and falling asleep with a quiet good night.
-
Matthias and Redtail and Dragomir entered the barn soon after Dovu.
"Hmm... nice place..." Redtail said. "Very adequate." He laid down on a pile of hay and was out like a light.
Matthias curled up on the saddle, Dragomir comfortable in the saddlesheath and his twin pistols by his hands... just in case.
-
Elizabeth walks back out, singing softly, she glances at the fire in the distance and adjusts the small blankets she was able to find in the house. she walked over to Rachel and set another blanket on her and walked towards the barn. she did have to admit that it was, in fact, nice to have other people around. She walks into the barn and closes the door softly. she saw dovu loking over the maps and mathis on his saddle.
"ive brought blankets,,,, "
-
Matthias looks up. "May I please have one, miss? I would really appreciate it."
-
Elizabeth walks over and hands him a thin blanket. "there thin, but they're all i got.." she sets the others down and then joes oer to jasper who is laying in his normal stall. "sorry, i did not meaen to offend you in any way and if i did i am siencerly sorry." Jasper snorts and smiles. /you're fine, i was never mad at you./
-
"Thank you, miss," he said, spreading the blanket over himself. "I didn't catch your name, by the way."
-
"My name is Elizabeth. " She starts brushing jasper down humming to herself.
-
Matthias nodded. "Nice name. It suits you."
-
Seeing Elizabeth carry in the blankets, Dovu thought it rude not to take one. "I appreciate it." He said unfolding it and throwing it over his aging horse. "Tomorrow night is the night we rob the bank. We can go over plans now or wait until morning." Dovu said, looking around at the tired faces. "Its up to you guys."
-
Elizabeth stiffles a yawn, "Rachel is asleep, she is involved so lets wait until the morning. it will be for the best." She stands on the stall door and launches herself up to the hayloft and into her spot above Jasper.
-
"I still don't agree with the 'robbery' thing," Matthias said, "but if I must help you, then help you I must." He curled up beneath the blanket and dozed off.
-
"I wish i had some sort of justification...but were going to need the money." Dovu said. "We will talk it over...*yawn*....in the morning." He laid his head against Maverick and fell off to sleep.
-
~~~~~~next morning~~~~~~~`
Elizabeth is up a few min before the sunrise and starts trying to scrounge up food for everyone. 'ugh i totally forgot about the food factor.... great.' she murmered to her self, ',I should have never opened my mouth..' There was a small streem, barily trickling at this time of the year.. but there might be a few animals still out to catch....
-
Rachel stretched languidly in the morning air. The fire had burned out late in the night, leaving only luke warm ashes in the pit. K.C. layed in a pile of leaves, scratching his back on a twig. Rachel sat up, confused by the blanket resting on her. 'Must have been one of the others. I'll have to return it when I get up there.'
Rachel got to her feet, packing her blanket and the one she'd been leant. She took out a gun. "You graze for a while Kace. I'm going hunting."
-
Matthias woke up as soon as the sun did, but decided to lay there for a while to see if Dragomir would wake up... which, of course, he didn't.
"As usual," he muttered, an amused glint in his eye. Getting up, he stepped out side the barn to watch the sun rise.
-
Dovu woke and rubbed his eyes a little. He took off his hat, and ran his paw through the top of his mane before adjusting it back on snugly. Maverick was already awake, but refrained from moving since he was acting as a pillow. He rose to his feet along with his partner and stretched his neck. Dovu reached for the saddle and placed it over him. He tightened the straps and hopped on. Feeling the dry, unpleasant taste in his mouth, he set out to find water. Remembering hearing the sound of flowing water nearby, he set out in that direction. Seeing Matthias outside the barn he spoke up to him in the distance.
"Make sure you're back in front of the house in an hour. If you see Rachel, tell her as well. Im gonna grab some water."
-
Matthias looked back at Dovu.
"Alright, sir, whatever you say," he said, watching the lion leave.
-
Finally finding the stream Dovu sat down with Maverick and enjoyed the refreshing water with him.
