-
Uhh... moose, reindeer, horse testicles... that's about it for strange foods. Oh, and raw whale on sushi. I still hate sushi.
-
Sadly, the strangest thing I ever ate is actually tame, and was made by need. :S
Hickory smoked spaghetti with ground chicken meatballs and grilled tomatoes. :?
One of the many things that results from having the electric lines down for a few days. T_T
-
I had a reindeer pizza once... Of course it was when I was in Alaska :P
-
Fried ants! X3
-
I've had Shark steaks. Pretty good considering I wasn't sure the best way to cook them.

:'( Shark steaks? :'(
-
Of course when I say shark I mean tofu. 0:)
-
Coming from the Philippines I've tasted and tried all sorts different food. I've eaten fruits like Jackfruits and Durian, feasted on milkfish and snails (I love snails), mollusks of all types, clawless lobsters, quails and whole pigs, squids, octupus, eel, and even the mysterious and delicious soup #5. To be honest with you guys, I eat like an otter weasel hybrid. Fish and poutry are common at my house. I don't like meat such as beef and lamb, but I love pork.
-
Chicken heart seasoned in garlic.
It was chewy and tasted just like chicken X3 I am so awful.
-
unagi.... best thing ever... nuff said lol x3
-
What the hell is unagi :?
-
One of my toes.... LOL JK
Pancake soda which is like carbonated maple syrup.
Calpis soda, basically carbonated milk.
-

Buffalo, ostrige, eel ,salmon, octopus , yellow tail, tuna sushi.
Elk , raw oysters, mussels, smoked oysters, calamari .Love all but raw oysters ... :D
-
Wow i'm getting hungry reading these X3
-
If you've ever eaten your own sona's species then you are a cannibal.
-
Peanut butter and ketchup sandwich.
With cheese!
-
Just remembered I've eaten pig intestines, otherwise known as tripe.
-
i've had antelope, deer alll the time, buffalo, but i think one of my strangest things i've ever tried were salt and vinegar crickets xD they tasted like seeds or nuts to be honest
-
I ordered Calamari at a restaurant (it was the only thing I could recognize XP ) and it was little whole octupi. I'm NOT going to deny the deliciousness. ^_^
-
Calamari is amazing!
I had liver and onions the other day.
-

-
You had what.....? :'(
It's a long story that ended with me eating dog food. Really fancy stuff that was way better than human food.
-
I hope it wasn't Todex
-
Just remembered I've eaten pig intestines, otherwise known as tripe.
I thought that tripe was cow stomach. Unless tripe has many meanings.
Once I put Lay's barbecue potato chips in some tomato soup because we didn't have crackers.
It was pretty good...
(What or who is Todex? :? )
-
When I was little, I'd dip fries in milk or ice cream.
-
I just remembered something else i ate that was strange....
<.<
>.>
Styrofoam waffles, XD just kidding a live scorpian >:3
It was kinda a truth or dare thing so don't ask. 0:)

I did that too.

i think it would be either that horse burger back in mexico (didn't know until AFTER we each had like 2 or 3), or the szechuan-style dog I had when I visited Nanjing back in 2000.
Post Merge: January 30, 2012, 01:23:48 AM
i love pig intestines, though. i grew up eating them from my local chinese bbq restaurant, but i've never found it weird. however, if you want to really enjoy it, have it fried with pineapples (on a pan), and eat it with sweet/sour sauce.
-
I love chorizo, which a lot of people think is weird because of what it's made of.
I also eat cactus, called Nopales in Mexican cuisine.

oh, cactus is really nice. haven't had any in 4 years.
-
They kinda taste like green beans, which I also love. XD
-
I know, but I love the moisture from a fresh one.
-
I've never had a fresh one before.
-
it's really nice. hard to come by, since fresh ones big enough are hard to come by at restaurants. i had it back when i visited mexico to help out. we had the fresh ones with our horse burgers.

Argh getting so hungry Why do you people torment me with these delicious sounding foods x_x

Hahaha. I really am a stuck-up kitty after all. I keep reading and continue to be disgusted. Where's my fancy feast? ;3
Though I have have eel on sushi. Tasted like chicken and had a sesame-peanut sauce on top of it. It was rather delicious.
-

All I can say is that you are doing it wrong
It's best when you have it with a vinegar-teriyaki paste and add a 6/4 wasabi soy sauce mix
-
buffalo cactuis catfish
-
Hong Kong's famous deep fried "breathing" fish. A fresh 2-3 lb fish that is quickly and expertly scaled and gutted and deep fried in a fast amount of time that it is still trying to breathe as you and your family eat it. Careful, it still winks, too.
-
Ever had a crazy day? I (not recently at ALL) ate cactus (that one kind) that was really juicy, tasted good, and, amazingly enough, didn't destroy my mouth. I can't say the same about my hands.
-
you'll actually find that conversation on page 3
-
Oh, I didn't see that.
-
My step dad does taxidermy as a hobby... So ive had a little of everything you can imagine. But i enjoyed Bulls Testicles, roasted cactus, rattlesnake, king cobra, and deer.
-
I eat it all the time & it doesnt sound gross but when you see it eww.
grape jelly & mustard on a hotdog. u can mix it or not, tastes the same.
-

now that actually sounds gross even to me. i vividly remember all 3 flavors, and the addition of the grape jelly really clashes too terribly.
However, I won't say no to someone saying the same thing to one of my favorite breakfasts, Waffles with condensed milk and peanut butter. Or even Hong Kong french toast (extra thick french toast consisting of 2 slices together, with condensed milk and peanut butter in the middle)
-
I was bored and ate a chocolate covered dog biscuit
It ws yummy though i had indigestion for a week @.@
-
Macaroni & Cheese and Applesauce
Sounds gross but it's like eating apples and cheese
-

OMG sounds delicious

I just had an apple, and forgot to wash my hands, though i wiped them on my pants. After theyd (my hands) been covered in aircraft oil and hydraulic fluid... Perhaps thats why i feel bloated...
-
^won't do any harm. I've drunk plenty of coffees with oil slicks in them. :)
-
Yeah its not the first sandwhich doused in hydro fluid ive had.
-
I once drank the fluid in a glowstick spat it out before it went down my throat
-

Good thing you spat it out. The fluid from a glow bracelet is enough to kill a human adult within 5 minutes.
-
Uh i was five at the time o.O
-

I don't think that counts as edible since it's a deadly toxic chemical.
-
Hmm i guess it doesn't count
-
Kangaroo tastes pretty good...
(Sorry for kangaroo furs here XD)
-
i've had kangaroo before, and i wasn't impressed
-
I'd say the oddest was steamed octopus. It was very hard to eat and I regret not putting anything on it because it was tasteless. I used to live near a place that sold nothing but buffalo burgers. They raised them there any everything. It was way out in the boonies and not very big or crowded, which is my favorite kind of place.
As far as homemade unusually taste, I like onion and peanut butter sandwiches.
-

D: D: You... you...Wh...What?
-
Well he did say sorry
-
I know, but still... now I'm kinda scared.
-
I've had kangaroo too >.> <.<
-
haggis
'nuff said
-
Hey haggis aint strange, it be awesome. ^_^
-
it is awesome
one of the nicest things ever
but i guess sheep's liver, kidney, heart and lung(i think it was) shoved in a sheep's intestine counts as strange :P
-
by that logic a hotdog could be seen to be pretty strange XD
-
i will go with you on that :P
-
I suppose the difference is you don't need to stab your hotdog in the stomach before you eat it. :)
-
On a regular basis? Ramen noodles coated in sour cream is delishously fattening,
I remember chowing down on live ants when I was a kid on a dare. And I once also accidentally ate a bowl of ramen without knowing it was full of dead bugs till it tasted funny.
-
OH!
Peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
Trust me, it may sound kind of strange at first but if you try it, it will taste amazing! I've gotten 6 friends hooked on the stuff XD
-
A plate of eggs and ketchup. I know my friends think this is weird at least.
-
Grilled crocodile testicles
-
^ O_O
Um.... okay....
That's... that's not something I would eat...
-

Grilled crocodile testicles

-
^
I'm gonna guess like chicken. XD
-

-
im gonna bump this one back to life here... i sometimes make waffles and put american white cheese on them, so delicious X3
-
This wasn't me, but Lukeboe (The brother of the Annoying Orange guy) eats chocolate chip sandwiches.
-
sounds nice
i eat marmite and cheese sandwiches
-
I had barbequed pig liver at the weekend, that was good.
-
I have picked up my father's habit of drinking hotsauce directly from the bottle.
-
You guys cannot believe what Vietnamese people eating everynight: boiled duck egg.
(http://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/webkit-fake-url://5E5A8A25-2061-44C3-9788-CF75EC3C5454/imagejpeg)(http://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/webkit-fake-url://016E989A-1574-4231-9584-D844BBD65503/imagejpeg)
Don't knows what you all thinking but this is very normal with me...
-
that stuff is actually really tasty. also, most common ingredient for a lot of Chinese AND Vietnamese herbal soups that help with headaches, fevers and other sicknesses. Second most common next to Ginseng.
Boiled and marinated duck feet. Best treat in the world. Gets your hands all greasy, though.
-
The worst possible thing i could think of is Haggis(i think its called) and i allso tried deer hear, but it wasnt that bad
-
Many people find this weird, but it's a regularly listed food in the Brown's Chicken food chain. Fried Chicken Gizzards.
-
OH! that reminds me, on my friends birthday I ate a chicken heart, it was actually really tasty :P
-
Hm... Well, ceviche was certainly interesting when I had it. Enjoyable, but odd.
Had chicken livers, beef heart, and meh. Organs. I don't like them.
-
Boiled pigs tongue. Not really weird, but not the norm either. It was nice.
-
French fries, gravy, salt, sugar, pepper, coffee creamer, mustard, ketchup, blue slurpee all mixed together x_x
Funny story behind that. I was with one of my friends in a group I was volunteering with for the summer, and I ate it and just as my mom was introducing me to someone I almost threw up. Pretty toxic combination, DO NOT recommend.
-
my strangest one?
Peanut butter(crunchy), Salami and cucumber sandwiches.
-
Lets see.... ^_^
Low quality Caviar
Blood Sausage (its actually pretty good, especially with Kartoffelsalat [German potato salad])
I ate a worm or two when I was little
I have eaten snails (legitimately with crackers and some Gruyere)
I make pine tea sometimes (not bad at all really)
Venison, but its not very weird for Pennsylvania
Speaking of venison and Pennsylvania, I have eaten whats called scrapple before which is like this block of cornmeal, meat trimmings and scraps from a deer, and some spices. It has a pasty consistency and tastes like peppery liver, if you like that stuff.
-
A burger made of ground venison, cherries and sweat cream mixed together and served on a sweetbread bun.
It was amazing o.o
Other than that I've had cricket tacos, those were pretty good.
-
Egg corns(tree seeds), Snail slime, cricket limbs, and olives cruhed togather into a past ontop of rat and boar meat...
It was OMG Amazeing.
-
an apple core XD and after reading what other ppl wrote i think i must be boring lol
-
A peanut-butter, cheese, and ketchup sandwich.

You should post your recipe for Pine Tea in the cookbook!

When I was in Cozumel, there was a taco stand that had every kind of meat you could think of.
One choice was the "Brain Taco". I didn't what kind of brain, I just bought it.
It tasted like sand and pus that was slow roasted over someone's rotten butt-hole. I didn't finish it nor swallow the first bite.
-
An Oreo with Katchup on it ... made $10 doing it tho
