I have an idea for a line of T-shirts for wearing at Furry Conventions.
Anyway this is a T for people who aren't wearing a fursuit and wishing they
where.
Picture this, a T-shirt with a picture of a cartoon character on it, a furry
character like Sylvester the Cat, but with no fur on his body (in a chartoony
way) from the neck down, and looking embarrassed and cold. With the character
arms hiding themselves the best they can. The front of the T-shirt would
show the front of the character and the back of the T-shirt would show the
backside of the character. I'm sure you all have seen cartoons where a character
has his fur ripped or blown off there bodies, that's my inspiration for my
T-shirt idea.
I'd like to have known cartoon characters used, but I'm sure that licensing
issues might make it imposable to do that.
I'm not a vary good artist and need some art drawn up. Also thought it would
be fun to have male and female versions of the cartoon characters. Also
several species of furry animals.
I think that this web site will be a good place to have the T-shirts printed.

I emailed them the other day and they sounded interested in my idea.
I also need ideas for quoats that the characters would say.
IE: "I feel naked without my fursuit"

Oh well I guess this idea was a dud.

It's not necessarily a dud idea; you might just be looking in the wrong place. Look around FurAffinity for artists who excel at drawing cartoon characters and talk to them about it. The fact that nobody has replied here doesn't mean your idea is bad, just that no who's seen the thread has something to offer to the idea.
But you do need to remember that copyrighted characters can't be printed on a t-shirt can't be drawn and printed on a t-shirt for profit. Having original cartoon characters drawn though would be fine.

Oh? I saw it, and I was trying to think up some cool sayings, sorry for not replying, but it DOES sound like a cool idea.
And I saw some folk selling t-shirts with their versions of Mario on it, I don't know if they're ALLOWED to but...
I think you'd be better off using a generic looking fox, wolf, and feline character. :)

Yes I figured that was the case.
I'm hoping to have something worked out before Califur 2012 in Jun.
If any artists want to work directly with a T-shirt screen printer so they can earn a commission from there
work, that would be ok. If anyone does this please post info on who's printing the shirts and some small
pictures of what the T-shirt looks like.
